Great service guy in there was happy to help me find some spacers and bolts that i would have missed.

Whenever I go in this store, their customer service is lacking due to grumpy people who apparently don’t enjoy their jobs. This is from the top down. The store generally has what I’m looking for at a premium price, but I reluctantly need to shop there for convenience sake.

Went to buy bar oil for my chain saw as Lowes was out of stock. Ace had plenty at a better price. Gal that helped me said it was a real Stihl. I must remember to shop locally.

Never shop there again after their overbearing mask policy. I feel bad for the employees who have to put up with the owner/management of this place. Word gets around town fast. Bye bye Ace.

They have recently began bullying their employees due to vaccination status. The CEO is not a doctor and cannot push his medical opinion on anyone. I will never support this store. I am telling everyone about this and showing them the letter that he put inside his employees paycheck. I will also be forwarding it to the Governors office and Labor Industries

Clean store..well stocked with most everything you could need for the home. Friendly helpful staff. They also have a small engine repair shop inside Ive used before with great results. Even if you want to fix it yourself they can order parts too for your project.

This location always has superb customer service. I usually walk in and spend 1/3 of the time looking for an item than I have to spend at other hardware stores. Even more so, I usually am greeted and offered assistance before I even begin looking for my items ! 20/10 service everytime!!

Way better than Home Depot or Lowes. Excellent customer service. I use to not like how many people would ask to help me. But after shopping at Lowes and Home Depot for a couple years and never having any help, I really appreciate how willing everyone at Ace is to help. Spend way less time getting something here then I do when I have to go to one of the big stores.

For that old time hometown hardware store experience this is the place. Always helpful staff.

Ace is the place rt? Helpful hardware store? Well not this store, been there twice since Ive been back in the valley both times rude just rude service. Unless youre in need of a mask police even though the mandate has been lifted then this is your store recommendations make the drive to home depot saves your temper & money

Usually a very positive experience! Cleanest Ace Ive ever been in and I definitely made mention of that the 1st time I was there. Today my cashier was not friendly...bad day? Customer service is key to EVERY position and a huge reflection on a business.

Great customer service and they let me bring my mountain bike inside the store to be more secure and they took me directly where I needed to go instead of looking through the store thanks cards

This WAS my favorite hardware store in the valley. After today I wont ever step foot in an Ace ever again. I was met at the door by a cow asking me to wear a mask. I politely declined then her potbellied security guard informed me that if I didnt put on a mask he would escort me to the door. She seemed to be a very angry, nasty human with terrible customer service skills. I dont know if this is Ace hardware across the board but one thing is for sure I will never step foot in this Ace ever ever ever again. Congratulations to Cardinal true value you have earned my business all the way across town.

Good selection of hardware items, the lady employee at the door who demanded that I have a mask on could have toned it down a notch. Politeness goes a long way. Stank just serves to keep people away. Not good for business. In her defense, she might just have been having a rough day and I caught her at just the right moment. Oh well, Id still go back there.

Always greeted at the door to get help immediately to find what your there to purchase for your project. Wonderful staff of employees.

Ive stopped in that store for many years and know that they have super high prices but for the convenience I went there. I have never seen anyone cleaning or disinfect the store the way it is too be done for covid-19 but they all stand around bumping bellys and greeting you too wear your mask like there something special. I wear my mask most always and have my shots but have a greeting like that Ill drive to lowes and buy the same products less expensive and 2 minutes longer and employees are not standing at the door trying to make them look like theyre saving the world hell no I wont ever darkened there door again.

Helpful and good customer service.

Even though its a lot smaller than big box stores, Ace Hardware seems to have an even better selection at competitive prices (for many items). I know the staff will be knowledgeable, and its often a much quicker trip due to how easily I can traverse the store. Big box stores and Amazon have their place, but Ace has is where you go when you want to speak with a human.

Fantastic store that has almost anything you could ever need. I appreciate their concerns for the safety of the employees and customers by requiring masks for everybody in the store.

Tried going into the store a couple times since the pandemic and been asked to wear a mask or leave both times. heres a thought...heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US, why not boycott McDonalds and set a height and weight limit for store patrons? in most cases, statistically speaking, heart disease is 100% preventable...yet nobody bats an eye. COVID hits, and all of the sudden the world ends when an individual doesnt wear a mask? Granted the folks in the store are probably just following thru with company policy, but dont tell me that youre sorry when you mandate me to wear a mask. If you truly were sorry, you wouldnt be working there to begin with.I am a small business owner, and have an additional job besides that. I regularly require fasteners, supplies, etc. ACE had been my go-to place for years. Its a shame to see what it has become. I will not be using ACE for my needs any longer...nor should anyone that reads this.The powers that be at this establishment may believe they are promoting a healthy perception by pushing the mask mandate, but the facts speak for themselves, as far as public health and survivability are concerned. The old adage, just following orders, only stretches so far. I fully understand there are health concerns, and we are faced with difficult questions every day....but these policies that are wrongly being enforced are undoubtedly not the answer. You wear your mask, and let me choose what to do with mine. Its not anyone elses right to make that choice for me.

I normally do not leave a 1 rating for any reason but today I felt sidelined and and less of a person because my acute and chronic illness. According to the state law people who has health restrictions are not required to wear a mask. When I entered the store I explained I was asthmatic and was asked to sit in my car while they did the service I need it. The service was to take my key to my business which I would never normally let out of my sight to get re-keyed. Being asked to go sit in my car and wait was shocking to say the least. Ive spent most of my life pretending to be normal to fit in while having this illness only to make my health worse. And now finally able to admit to the public, I am being sidelined and made you feel less. So regardless of their customer service and their attempt to make things better they have now made me feel worse than I could possibly feel and I will never come back.

I go here for most all hardware needs, except lumber and some overpriced items. Employees are friendly and know their departments. Garden center and the small engines maintainance are excellent.

Everything is considerably more expensive than most other hardwaree stores. They have a very rude security guard making everyone who enters to wear a mask, even if you have a legitimate medical issue you cant. My first and last time in this store.

Tried to support the small town store, there aggressive mask rules sent me up the hill to Lowes. Way less expensive anyways.

Insane masks policy. Forces employees to wear masks outside all alone. Welcome to communism folks. If you choose not to wear a mask they will chase you down. Crazy. Prices are insane and management laughs about ripping off customers. Will not shop here again.

I have friends that own an ACE and this one is just disappointing. One of the biggest issues is theyre prices are significantly more expensive than even other local/small hardware stores.

This store has been incredibly helpful in an incredible amount of ways! They helped tremendously when they provided (15) 1/2X12 copper pipes to Smith Valley school for an educational program where students learned about electro magnetics. With their donation to the school each student was able to take one assembled setup of a copper tube and neodymium magnet home. The one pictured was the prototype created before final assembly.

Always easy to find exactly what I need in this store. When I cant, there are always plenty of helpful hardware folks around to get some guidance. Never had a bad experience here!

I am a business owner for over 36 years an if I found out how employee was telling customers to wear a mask they would no longer be employed. I will no longer shop here. As with most Ace Hardwares Ive ever been in this one is great all the employees go out of their way my dad who is 86 needed a small riding lawn mower they ordered it for him and it came in early they put it together for him and even delivered it yes I believe they go above and beyond

I like friendly neighborhood hardware stores over the big chain warehouse types. This store is just the type that I prefer. The staff seems sparse at times but, friendly and helpful none the less. The few times that I was unable to find what I was looking for there was a staff member there to guide me or see if they can order the item. There is screen repair, keys, small engine repair, home, and garden. Go by and see what you think and grab a complimentary bag of popcorn while you are there.
