This is the only place I take my car to be serviced since having it. First visit was in early 2018, however the last 6 months of my car had significant issues which cause could not be determined accordingly and limited guidance was provided. While out of town visiting loved one, I had an oil change at the dealership the care was initially purchased from and they were able to find out what was going on with my car. However, I was unable to await for the appropriate parts to arrive and needed to return to Jax. Car was still drive able. Both dealerships collaborated to ensure the correct diagnosis and parts were ordered for my return to Coggin. General Manager, John was a great lead during the whole ordeal. He was able to understand my frustration and provided as much education as possible and worked on solidifying a solution. John kept me in the loop during the entire process and restoring my faith in tremendous customer service. Once I arrived to Jax to drop my car, John greeted me and had a loaner with gas ready for me for the day. My car was ready in 3 hours with full diagnostic and test drive to ensure no additional issues. I am grateful the issues with my car have been resolved!

Give him a shout if youre interested in their vehicles.Decent selection of vehicles, but the sticker prices seem crazy to me these days. Ive bought $40,000 vehicles in the past just out of sheer arrogance and ignorance but I just cant wrap my brain around what theyre asking these days.

The most recent was a Tahoe and a Corvette. We always deal with Carey Watkins who is the best Salesman in the business. These two men are definitely your biggest asset.

I had an appointment at 9:30 AM and nobody even looked at my truck until after lunch. The communication with me was terrible. On the second day I had to call 10 times to get somebody to call me back and let me know what was going on. In the end no service was performed. The only option they gave me was a new transmission that is back ordered for four weeks. I believe there was another option but they wouldn’t even consider that. I bought my 2016 truck there and have it had it serviced there many times very very disappointed with this experience.

WOW, THAT WAS EASY! I have not purchased a car from a dealership in years because I did not want the hassle. When the new body style Suburbans came out it was just too tempting. Through a friend, we found the exact car we wanted at Coggin Chevrolet in Jacksonville and had nothing but positive interactions with each person we talked with there. When the car was ready, we were in and out of there in less than an hour! I would highly recommend this dealership!

Excellent service. I went in because of a noise front end by the tires. I left with perfect advice to change tires that had low treads. They charged nothing. And after changing the tires a week later, there is no more noise. Thank you Lord. They were right. I will be a delicated customer after first great experience with truth and honesty shown on their part. Highly recommend service department

Two week later transmissions overheated and would not shift properly and would not go into reverse.Took it back to dealer to be told transmission needed replace for $6000.Went to service mgr thenused car manager with no satisfaction.Don’t deal with these people.Service tech don’t know what they are doing.

Bought a 1996 ranger from this dealer. Agreed on a price and gave me great price for my trade in. The ranger unfortunately did not make it home. I towed it back to the dealer and they were able to figure out the issue and fix it completely. I had a scheduled appointment but was able to come in earlier. As soon as I was there I was greeted by I believe his name was Mark. He went to look for the truck I was interested in. He came back we talked for a little bit than he let me look around without constant harassment. I liked that. I ended up getting a different truck but I am extremely happy with my purchase.

He was super patient and he answered all of my questions. I have never owned a Chevy and knew nothing about them except for what I learned in the short time I researched them. Dropped off my vehicle on a Friday afternoon. The service team was unable to get to my vehicle, but I was not notified, so they just kept it overnight without alternative transportation. On Saturday morning I was on hold for 18 minutes tying to get a new ETA for when the service team would get to my vehicle. I never made it through to a rep... I actually physically arrived at the dealership while still on hold, and saw my service rep sitting at his computer with no idea I was still holding for him. They completed the service a few hours later on Saturday, but the same check engine code came right back on on Sunday. I called the dealership to let the service team know and I was not able to reach an advisor. The receptionist took my info twice for a callback, but I never received a callback. Ive purchased two vehicles from Coggin, and Im only 31 years old. I will be purchasing more in the future, but it likely wont be from Coggin.

Brought my Corvette in for transmission shutter. This is the second time. Fluid was changed to the improved fluid and so far so good. Very satisfied with the service writer. Got me right in and kept me informed. As a note, not related to the service writer, I made the appointment on line. The appointment time was recorded but none of the information I supplied was available to the service writer on his computer. You know something is not quite right when asked; What are we doing for you today? Seems to be a software issue that really should be fixed ASAP to help the service writer better prepare for the customer. My vehicle is always serviced at Coggin Chevrolet and I am always satisfied with the outcome. Hopefully I wont have to return with my Corvette with this same issue.

Overall the quality of work is good. The most critical point of the service where I experienced failure on your dealerships part was in communication and customer service. I watched one of your service managers have a breakdown in front of several people which was not confidence inducing. Your people running the desk are the face of your business. They have to understand that and conduct themselves accordingly. Also if a service is likely to take more than a day the customer should be notified of that prior to bringing the vehicle in for service. Getting a phone call after your vehicle has been kept for eight hours and being told you’ll get it back to you the next day makes your dealership seem untimely, scattered, and overall lacking in professionalism. However, the quality of the work seems to be good, because the issue in my truck is fixed and I have my vehicle back. But I lost two days of work AND I’m paying $2,000 for a service. Losing days of pay wouldn’t work for most people, I’m fortunate that my job allowed it.

Before reading the actual review let me start with I love Coggin Chevy my family has been buying from Chevy for years I bought my first NEW car from Coggin and my first USED from Chevy on Phillips highwayfor the time I waited to get an oil change and tire change from 9:40 to 1:15 about, I dont think the price I paid for oil change and new tire was fair because I had a coupon for $49.95 oil synthetic change, the associate explained that my oil change was actually about $56 and took off $10. I still have the receipt printout which was a little confusing overall I paid $258 about for oil change and new tire....

I’ve been a customer for several years. Recently I purchased a Silverado Custom that ran into critical issues at 6k miles. The team made several attempts to repair but after multiple trips I had to speak up as it was not dependable and unsafe. My job was in jeopardy, I take care of my aging mom, and the sole parent to a special needs child. I was desperate for help. I know it seems like the easier route to buy online, through CarMax, or a private person - but this buying experience made me think otherwise. As long as there is an understanding that they still need to make money on the deal and that you dont want to feel taken advantage of - there is a middle ground where everyone can feel good. From the phone call I made to the end of my oil change, everything was fantastic. Person that assisted me on the phone was able to get me in quicker than I thought. Once I arrived everyone was very friendly and helpful. Even though they were busy first thing in the morning, they were able to rotate my tires, top off my truck with all necessary fluids, and did the oil change fast! Overall, it has been the best experience in Jacksonville for my oil change. Thank you guys!

Originally brought my vehicle into the dealership on 14 April 2021 for out of range coolant temperature reading. Told service advisor that cooling fan was observed by me to be working intermittingly. Vehicle was taken in for diagnostics while I waited at the dealership. Approximately 30 minutes later service advisor contacted me and said that everything looked fine and that the coolant temperature reading was normal. I was then told that there were several areas of concern noted by the mechanic regarding immediate needed repairs. The repairs included a leaking air conditioning compressor, rear brakes and oil change. After asking additional questions regarding the out of range coolant temperature reading I was again told that the mechanics diagnostic check was negative for any other issues. Based on the reassurance of the service advisor I agreed to have the other suggested work done to my vehicle. I returned home to await the completion of the work on my vehicle. Later that day I was contacted by the service advisor who told me that my front brakes also needed replacing. I questioned why this had not been mentioned along with the earlier findings and was told that it had not been noticed at that time. I agreed to have the additional brake work done because I was told that it was to my benefit to have it taken care of. After it was all said and done with I paid $1598.53 for work that I had not originally brought my vehicle in for.On 3 May 2021 I again brought my vehicle to the dealership for the same problem that was present on 14 April 2021. After having the vehicle for approximately 45 minutes I was contacted by service advisor and told that the cooling fan was not working properly. This was the same info that I had provided to the service advisor on 14 April 2021 and was then told that no issues were found by the mechanic during his inspection. After it was all said and done with I paid $750.00 to have problem pertaining to out of range coolant temperature reading corrected.This situation has left me with the feeling that a serious effort to resolve the issue with my vehicle had not been made during my initial visit. In reality I believe that this event turned into a search for more obvious mechanical issues that would eventually cost me $1598.53 for repairs that had nothing to do with why I had taken my vehicle to the dealership in the first place. To add insult to injury the problem was diagnosed on my second visit as being what I had spoken about during my initial visit which was the intermittent working cooling fan. The $750.00 to replace the cooling fan along with what I was previously charged for other unrelated repairs came to a total of $2348.53 for my vehicle within a two week time frame. Also forgot to mention that my vehicle was at the dealership for five days before the repairs were finished to replace the cooling fan and no shuttle service was available to assist me with my return to the dealership.

Terrible! They didnt do the work they charged us for and only did some of the services required on the 100,000 mile service that was requested. The entire top cover on the engine was still covered in dust and looked like it had not even been touched or anything removed to replace the spark plugs, and they claim that was done. They claim to have checked the brakes as asked, but the wheels were not removed or rotated like they should have been so I doubt they checked the brake pads. When the service manager was asked about the quality of service and why we were charged over 4 hours of labor when the car was done in less than 2 hours he was confrontational and refused to reduce the charges or labor fees.We moved from the courteous state of Texas and our dealer Classic Chevrolet would clean off the dust/debris under the hood when performing a service so as not to get dirt inside the engine! They would even run our car through the car wash before returning it to us. Maybe expecting service from a service department is just too much.Not at all what we expected from Chevrolet! So disappointing and I guarantee we will not be purchasing our next vehicle from this shady dealership.

I have been contemplating getting a new Tahoe for the past 6 months. I started the search with sales team in January of 2021. Peter, sales associate, would notify me when new Tahoes were on the lot (they are in short supply) and I would test drive them and review the features. There was plenty of times I walked out without a Tahoe because it wasnt the one. Peter was wonderful to work with while I was unsure of what I wanted. Peter brought in John Hipp, the Chevy Sales Manager to see if there was any new Tahoes coming in that had what I wanted at the price I could afford. At the time, there was none coming but he would call me when one would come in. Within a few weeks, 2 Tahoes showed up and he called me immediately. I had a hard time decided which one I wanted, do I buy the one within my budget or spend a little more for more features. John and Peter never pushed me into making a decision. They knew I was struggling to make a decision and they allowed me a room to myself. John told me look, you do not have to make a decision today. This is a large purchase and I want to make sure you feel good if you decided to purchase. It put me at ease that he really cared about me and not so focus on the sale. At the end, I went with the one within budget and John and Peter did a few extra things to make me feel that much better about the purchase. A few days later in my Tahoe I am VERY happy with the decision. No regret! Great custom service, never felt like I was being oversold, great price and great trade-in amount. Will be coming here again and referring all my friends!

Dropped my car off at 10 am for an oil change, Melanie informed me it would be about 3 hours and she would call me when my car was ready. I returned to the dealer at 1:45 and saw my car parked near the service office. I wanted to be courteous and allow Melanie to call me instead of rushing her if in fact my car was not completed. I sat in the waiting room and waited. At about 2:30 I sent Melanie a text message to the number she sent earlier. She did not respond. I figured your office was busy and my car wasnt ready. I waited some more until 3:15 pm until I walked into the office. Melanie did not even say anything just placed my keys and told me my balance. I looked at the paper and it said my car had been ready since 1:40. I never received a call or text to inform me my car was ready. The only reason I went to coggin was because Nimnicht was further away, but next time I will drive to nimnicht to get my oil changed and any other service my vehicle requires.

Sales and financing communications were great and responsive. It was a good experience overall except for the vehicle not being cleaned up prior to me arriving and costing me 45 extra minutes of waiting after all paperwork was signed. I expect new vehicles to be spotless clean when taking delivery which is the normal expectation in new car sales. The wash and vacuum that was preformed helped but it was still not in total clean/new condition and should have had a full detail.In light of Covid 19, I was somewhat surprised by the lack of attention to detail and would have expected better cleaning standards.All said, I love the Silverado and think the Omar and Michael did a great job!!

It took several tries / visits for the service techs to diagnose the problem. Once we were able to drive the truck into the dealership during the problem occurrence they did get right on it and repaired it. Appropriately, under warranty.

I was able to drop my truck off late afternoon the day before my appointment. Dropped off with Mike Hopper and Neil. Received a call early next morning with a prognosis of a cracked condenser coil. Later that day while I was out dining I got a call the truck was ready to go. I was told in person the general explanation of the failure and was confident the job was completed correctly. Good work on the technicians part.

My husband dropped off his truck to get a diagnostic to realize that he needed a new battery. The reason for bringing the truck to Chevy was that he got a radio installed by Best Buy.(never again) Apparently, when Best Buy installed the radio, it did something with my husbands truck and and he thought that it wasnt the battery but when they did the diagnostic at Chevy, it turned out he needed a new battery. Over $400 later he was driving home after picking up the truck, and all of a sudden his AC started blowing hot. He called Randy right away and sent him a text and explained that his AC was working fine when he dropped off his truck. A manager Jim texted my husband and asked how his experience was. He explained the whole situation and what happened.This happened on Monday Aug 2nd today is now Friday Aug 6th nobody has called back or texted back. My husband has called every single day four times a day leaving messages and nobody is calling back.... The worst customer service we have ever experienced being in Florida. Very rude and disrespectful. Well I have a manager called.....

I spent 2 days with a sales rep trading emails and information for a vehicle I wanted to purchase and filled out credit app and the next morning I was told it was sold. How do you sell a vehicle that has already been looked at by another customer and is waiting on financing. Well thus morning I call the dealer and vehicle is still their because the MANAGER SOLD IT TO HIS FRIEND AND HAS NOT PICKED UP is what I was told by the sales rep. I asked for an email address so I can file a complaint and they wont even give that.. it has been very disappointing to say the least. But I will never recommend or by from Coggin dealers.
