I will start by saying that I am an avid enthusiast of high-end computer stuff in the general sense. Built my first desktop in grade school. Wrote my first C++ application not too long after that. No slouch when it comes to techie stuff. But this new build I was working on... turns out was beyond my capabilities.So... after weeks of screwing around with the hardware, picked up the pieces and realized I needed some help. Following a brief and very professional phone conversation with Dallas, I confidently brought my stuff over to Ascended Electronics in Iowa City.To make a long story short, Dallas was able to white-glove one of the fastest, most robust desktop computers in the world for me over a period of about two weeks. I am using it now and it is absolutely incredible, inside and out.Safe to say, if you are looking for a TOP-NOTCH, boutique solution for your custom computer needs and you need the *absolute best there is*, Ascended Electronics is where youre going to go.

I ordered the Edifier R1280T from Ascended Electronics and it arrived very quickly. I just received mine in just one day. So far everything works perfectly. It looks beautiful. Sound quality is great and I love that I can turn up and down the bass/ treble.

I havent bought a computer in over 10 years, so I was pretty far behind on what to look for in a new setup. I was looking for a gaming rig that wouldnt need to be upgraded anytime soon, and was a little overwhelmed. After shopping around between Best Buy, Wal Mart, Alienware etc. I had concluded that building a computer would be my best option to keep price down. This is where I ran across Ascended Electronics. Not only do they have a number of builds to choose from, but are more than happy to sit down and talk about what exactly you need in your new PC and build something from scratch. Dallas, the owner, certainly knows his stuff! I got exactly what I needed: A PC that blows away anything that big stores have collecting dust on their shelves, and a pretty killer monitor/keyboard/mouse combo. This guy stands behind anything that he sells, so if something goes wrong (which it wont, because he does it right the first time) hes local and available to answer questions or take a look if need be. If something goes wrong with a regular store-bought PC from the aforementioned places, you can expect to box it up and ship it off for a couple weeks. No thanks. If youre on the fence about Ascended Electronics, dont be. Pull the trigger, you wont be disappointed.

Dallas recently installed the Google Nest Thermostat and Wifi system. He is extremely knowledgeable about Smart Home products. He was also willing to come to Fairfax which is farther than his service area. He did an amazing job of explaining what to expect before our date of install including how much time it would take, how long the power would be turned off, and what he would need in order to set up the system properly. He ran into an issue with Southslope and resolved it right away and had us back up with power and internet in less than the time that he stated it would take him!! I was over the top happy with the service I received from Ascended Electronics and I will be recommending Dallas for Smart Home, theater solutions, and computer services in the future!

After investing in 5.1 speakers and a 4K TV, I wanted a clean, professional looking setup for my home theater. Some key requirements:- Mount the TV with full articulation- Cable management: no visible wires running up walls- Run the rear speaker wire into the unfinished basement and back up to the wall where the rear speakers would be placedAscended Electronics took the time to do a consultation and put together a plan that would meet these requirements. The final results are exactly what I wanted.Additionally, I live in a 2 story house and the new TV was far away from my router so WiFi speeds for that location were poor. Running cable was an option but would be difficult. Instead, Ascended Electronics assisted with setting up a wireless mesh network. The TV and consoles now are getting much better speeds, as is the rest of the house. Much like the home theater installation I got what I wanted. I cannot recommend Ascended Electronics enough.

Excellent communication and service. I had ordered the incorrect variant of a speaker, and they were able to quickly correct the error on my part within minutes of the order being placed in order to get the correct version shipped out.

Got the edifier r1280t speakers because of the BAPCS subreddit. Originally had some cheap Logitech speakers and jumped on these because of sale.Excellent sound, great quality and easy to set up.

Only needed some cables but received a surprisingly fair price. GPU quotes were as good as anyone else back in spring 2019. Will be my go-to shop when its time to upgrade my PC rig

I bought my sons 1st gaming computer system, Dallas @ Ascend Electronics did a great job adding upgrades that needed to be done.. reasonable prices and an overall great experience, a year later and the system is running like new.

My PC wasnt rebooting and I couldnt fix it from home. I messaged Ascended Electronics at 1am and within 5 minutes I was responded back to. I was on a time crunch to get it fixed since Im moving, and to my surprise he was done and all fixed with me within 2 hours. You will not find a better place for all your PC needs and help than here. Lowest rate in town to boot. They got a lifetime customer out of me, and If you give them a shot, Id bet youll become one too.

Got a laptop from here and wow he can do some work had it all updated and even tuned the bios in house thing is crazy fast. I wouldnt by from anywhere else. Ill be back for an upgrade UPDATE he worked on my desktop and its crazy fast now and runs alot better thanks again

I can not recommend Ascended Electronics enough. I ran into some trouble while building my first PC and needed professional help to fix my issue. I was scared that during the installation of my parts I shorted out my motherboard and so I reached out to Ascended Electronics via text. They responded immediately with their tech support, but unfortunately I still couldn’t fix my issue on my own. That being said, I desperately needed help and they made time to see me that same day (Sunday afternoon) to help me troubleshoot my issue and build my PC. Less than to hours later, my PC was built and fully operational. They answered every question I had and I became more confident in my build and more educated about PCs in general.
