The employees left me to my own devices to be on their phones which could be good if you knew exactly what you wanted but I personally wouldve appreciated it if they had asked what I was looking for and tried to help point me in the right direction. There is some organization, and the shelves look clean but in reality a lot of the sections were kind of disorganized. I specifically wanted to look at ttrpgs but they were mixed in with regular board games and the game boxes themselves arent always the most clear. Though I cant hold that against the store. Overall the store was clean though and had plenty of games and puzzles. I cant speak for how their events and game nights are because I havent participated in that.

Like historic or sci-fi themes? They have those games. Party games? Yep. Popular new releases? Got those. Miniature games? Yes, plus all the paints and brushes to customize your set.Staff is always super friendly and helpful when youre looking for something specific or trying to choose between their many titles. Ive bought several gifts there plus several games for myself, all have been a huge hit. In the evenings, they open up their huge side room for games (I often see people playing Magic the Gathering and I know there’s open game nights too). Plus theres a rewards program for repeat customers. Ill definitely be back!

Great location, has plenty of tables for large miniature games, and plenty of space for card games or other board games.The selection is great, and so is the staff.

I really like the friendly atmosphere here along with the really wide selection of games, RPG Books, Miniatures and Paints. If you need paints - be it Citadel or Army Painter or Turbo Dork, the more than likely have it. Ive also been really impressed with just how organized the store is too. All of the big miniature games have their own section, located nearby the paint section, save for the Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder style miniatures which are located in the RPG Book section.I will say if youre a Yu-Gi-Oh! Player than unless youre wanting to pick up a deck box or a binder, this place wouldnt be for you as they do not sell Yu-Gi-Oh! products, they do however sell Magic the Gathering and Pokemon.Customer Service seems to have really improved over the years too, I feel very welcomed by the staff and they seem to be very knowledgable about whats in their store.Overall, Game Preserve is a good place if youre a Dungeon Master, Table Top RPG player, Miniatures player, or are just looking to pick up a new board game or TCG Accessories. Definately worth a visit if youre into the Table Top Gaming scene.

This is a great store and it has play space unlike the other location in city, everyone is light on stock during covid but they seem hit less hard by it the loyalty point system is worth going here by itself changes are good what you need is on the shelf here

I love this place. This Game Preserve is the best in Indy. The staff is always friendly and helpful, but dont follow you around the store and make you feel uncomfortable for browsing. They always have great advice for games, collectibles, etc.Their prices are pretty spot on and they get new games all the time. Its my favorite game store anywhere in Indy!

Awesome place for buying games. I dont play many as many table top games as I used to, but they also appear to have a gigantic room just for gaming. They are super helpful and I have never had an instance of feeling dumb for asking for help.

Been here 7 different times. Never had a bad experience and I was only window shopping for most of those. But they treated me just the same as anybody else. They change their inventory regularly so going in once or twice a month youll always find something new. They have a big game area next door were you can get a group of friends and play various board games. All in all this place is perfect for shopping and playing if your looking for a nice and friendly environment.

Wanted to see magic cards. They want a list. Can not update my personnel deck because they are in order. How sad. I went to buy a boardgame. Was so irritated didnt bother. Got my games from amazon. Wont buy from them ever again.

I love that there is a local game store. The staff is always great at recommending games off of what I have played and liked. You dont get that service and knowledge from online or big box stores. Im happy to pay a bit more for the awesome service.

My wife and I came in on Xmas eve for a last minute gift. The manager was super friendly and helpful. He demonstrated a game with us which we ended up purchasing. The store itself is clean, well stocked with lots of games and well organized. Just a terrific experience from start to finish.

I was there with a family member. I was shopping for her birthday. She was shopping. I slipped the salesman a note, asking for the item I wanted. He got it, double bagged it for me and could not possibly have been nicer or more professional!!

Ive lived in Indy my whole life, and just recently was able to visit the Game Preserve. Its a lively store, and very attractively organized. Its a great place to pick up games for family game night, or whatever your fancy! With SO MANY different games to choose from-that dont include the mind numbing presence of a TV...-AND ALSO! A staff of people who truly seem to love what theyre doing and are able to answer questions for curious game-goers!

Game Preserve has a vast supply of games. They have all kinds of games, from family games to card games. They also have many game accessories.

The staff is great. Couldnt be more friendly or helpful. Also has a good space for public gaming, and plenty of scheduled events. Prices are a bit on the high side compared to online outlets, but thats more or less to be expected in a brick and mortar game shop.

Great place that has nearly any game you could want. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you dont remember the name of a specific game but can describe it, they will probably be able to tell you what it is! They will never pressure just so they can make a sale. Thry have a large play area with enough tables that there is nearly always room for you and some friends. They host tournaments as well!

Board games are underrated. These days people spend too much time in front of a screen. It was wonderful to go in with my family and pick some games to play together. They have a very big and unique selection. And the people that work there are very fun and helpful and polite. They made my six year old feel welcome and extremely excited about gaming. they also have a separate room for card game events.

This is my FLGS for around 20 years, since it was in the mall and the loyalty program got you access to the secret upper room to throw dice and move minis. Great store, excellent staff, clean shop area, knowledgeable and friendly, and fantastic loyalty program of 10% back. Perfect for game, puzzle, dice, paint, magic, or chess needs.

The Game Preserve was an interesting stop for me and my husband! He is looking for a shop that hosts a particular card game, The Game Preserve didnt. They did mention they host Magic card game competitions, etc.My husband said it was a clean, basic shop. It didnt pack what we were looking for but never the less, a decent shop!

We used to go alot more than we do now. Having kids slows down your fun nights out.I still enjoy our times out at Game Preserve.I love their points system. Its like they found a way to give a little back to the customers.I can always count on them to also have the newest products in stock. :)

They added on a ton of space for people to walk in and play games, which is phenomenal. Their prices are a little high compared to others, but its still a great place to hang out and meet other gamers.Edit: Rating is going down due to a lesser game selection than the one on the north side. If you also place a game on hold, this location has a tendency to not call about your hold. Has happened on two occasions to myself and once to a friend.

One of my favorite places to go for D&D loot and MtG cards. Love the selection and the staff is knowledge and friendly. I have a entertaining visit every time my husband and I visit. We live almost an hour away and we still make this our first trip when in need of something tabletop related. Have not found anywhere closer with both the selection and the fair prices of Game Preserve.

This location has a great loyalty program for repeat customers. They also have an area where they host game events for MTG, D&D Adventures League, Warhammer, and more. They buy (depending on the cards) and sell MTG cards. They have all the latest WotC D&D publications, and a great verity of table top games. I have been able to find new games I love now and with their loyalty program have been able to get other games at a large discount. The staff have always been welcoming and provide information when asked, the owner is always great to talk to.

Husband and I went in on a Tuesday afternoon. Husband stood at counter and was basically ignored. I was going to purchase a dice bag and I saw him patiently waiting at counter whilst lady behind counter sat there. Other clerk was on the computer doing something. Another customer walked up and the man on the computer told the woman behind counter to help him,- ignoring us again.I dont beg to be helped and this isnt our first negative encounter. So I put the bag back and told my husband quietly I was going back to the car. He joined me.Sorry..our business is lost for good. Im really patient and my husband doubly so. Waste of a long drive.
