This is a good retail game store where you can buy a verity of games and hobby supplies its always well stocked and has good hours for a retail store, if you want a community store with game space go to the one on the south side

A great place to buy a wide variety of games. The customer service is always great. Dave was clutch when I called asking for a particular game, one of which they only had a single copy of in stock. He offered to hold it for me, which I greatly appreciated because of the drive to get there. I always enjoy shopping here. Their rewards program saved me 15 bucks to boot.

Me and my son went in this store to get pokémon cards when we got them and opened them up all the rare cards were removed and replaced with dud cards. They scammed us really bad !! If you want pokémon cards go to the direct website not this store!

They have one of the largest game selections in Indiana. I love the point system they have that gives you a discount once youve spent a certain amount. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable

Good selection of games, puzzles, etc. Limited lines of paints, mostly GW & associated brands. Cannot speak to ccg stock. Most prices seem to be list retail. Much of the stock is out of reach for people using mobility aids. Staff is helpful but frequently busy. Game room in the back, looks airy & well lit.

The Gaming Preserve has been nothing but accommodating, has a large selection of minis, board games, painting supplies, TG Games, and gaming accessories. Wife and I make frequent trips from out of town just to show our appreciation and support and strongly recommend others to pay them a visit!

SO MANY GAMES! If you love board games, card games, or puzzles this place is for you! They have so many options of games and they have staff willing to help you find new ones. They also have a space in the back that looked like it was for playing games also. Great little place. Will return.

It is a hobby shop that caters to just about every type of hobby except video games. Select on board and party games are vast and they have a robust Magic: the gathering inventory.Like every business though, they do need to make decisions about what they stock and dont stock. If you are looking for any war-gaming items the selection is not as massive but the staff will work with you to order it if possible.As for gaming space, the back area can handle plenty of card games easily but can be cramped when doing war-gaming but not by much. For the store front in a strip mall near the fashion mall on the north side of Indy, they did a great job with the space.

Not the biggest store in the area but they have a fantastic selection of games available for purchase. They do seem to specialize more in boardgames than cards or miniatures games (though they definitely carry some of those as well). We found several games here that we havent seen for sale anywhere else so if you cant find it elsewhere try here!

We dropped in one day after eating at a nearby restaurant. They were very friendly and had a great selection of games. We asked a lot of questions and they seemed very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

My go to shop for boardgames. Plenty of times Ive walked into the shop looking for a board game gift. I describe my friends board game preferences to the store clerks and theyve talked through their suggestions. Ive never left The Game Preserve feeling worried about my gift purchases.

Me and my family have been coming here for years, whether it be for board games or my Magic The Gathering cards they always offer great service. The store is always kept in great condition and they offer a great variety to choose from.

This is a great shop if you are interested in table top games and RPGs. Staff are welcoming and willing to answer questions. They have everything you might need to run a game of D&D (and more). Dice, miniatures, and all the books. They have a game room available to play, just be sure to call ahead and ensure it is available.

Probably my favorite game store in Indy. Good selection across the board (no pun intended), ranging from kids games, to more in depth tabletops, to RPGs. The employees seem to treat new people well, and understand that happy customers are returning customers.

Always a great selection of games. Staff is super helpful and friendly. They also (at the time of this review) have a good reward system providing me money back for purchases.

Employees dont know magic very well, dont take your cards here. Hell I had a beta aspect of wolf thrown in just to see if they could spot it and they offered me less that just that one card was worth for about 5k plus cards that they went through. There are much better mobile apps that will scan cards for you and tell you the price and offer to list them.

Excellent selection...at least I thought so. Carry the games I play. Nice staff. Clean and organized. Points system is good deal...they never expire. I was in Florida for 3 years came back and was still in the system and used points from prior to leaving for Florida... cant beat it!

Go for the experienced staff. The prices are all MSRP, so dont expect Amazon prices. But they have a great selection and you get the game today! Good mid of tabletop and others.

Go here for family games. Also games from childhood like dungeons and dragons and backgammon. Bought my godson a nice basic chess set. Many fine wood chess sets available as well. Joined the members club and get money back after spending $100

Im a big fan of this shop! The employees are friendly and helpful. They provide good suggestions and know many of the games and make a point of learning them. I havent gone to a game night yet, but they have plenty of options for you to join in.

Your normal local game store. Employees are very knowledgeable and quick to help, not too judgements of the casual player.Solid inventory, prices obviously more than what you’d see online or from a big box store, but nothing egregious. Don’t attend, but they do appear to host a range of rotating games and events.

Nice shop and very clean. The clerk wasnt ​really into chatting but was friendly enough. Their game selection is great for such a small shop. The one thing I noticed is that none of the product, save the stuff that isnt selling, is discounted. So if your looking for a bargain you may wish to head somewhere else. Otherwise you could do worse than the gaming preserve.

This store is a gem. There is all the best games that you could think of and the staff has great recommendations. You could spend so much time in this store just trying to decided what game you want. I can’t wait to play the games we bought today and go back for more in the future.

The good: they have an amazing selection of Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride expansions, the full run of 7 Wonders games, a fair selection of other games, miniatures, and TTRPG stuff.The bad: the employees are way more interested in each other than anything else. I felt like I was walking into a strangers living room. I can order games on amazon. I come to a store for the service.

The Game Preserve has by far the most knowledgeable staff of any game store I have ever been to. They were quickly able to figure out and recommend good games for my wife and I to play with our friends during our couples game nights. Weve used the gaming area in the back on multiple occasions, theyve been welcoming and even got to know us. The selection is tremendous, and they have plenty of suggestions for novices and veterans alike.

Staff is very friendly, eager to help, and will admit if someone in the back would know more about any of the major games you might be interested in, also very active on social media.

As someone who frequents many game stores, this one is by far my favorite. Ive never had any issues with workers being rude. Usually if you have questions about games and they dont know, they dont hesitate to look stuff up. Good selection of games too, from advanced to basic. You can find a game for anyone there.

Great game store! They usually try to carry a wide swath of games to accommodate everyone from the casual gamer to the hardcore geek! I came in two days in a row, browsing for a gift. The staff both days were incredible and extremely helpful. I was searching for two player games, and I was instantly pointed towards a few games by both employees. I am pleased with my purchases, and will definitely be returning when Im in the area.

I try to shop here every time Im up in north Indy. Always fun to browse, and I have enjoyed their frequent buyer program for at least 15 years. I have been to all four locations in this Indiana chain, and keep hoping that eventually they will come down to Clarksville.

Honestly I never participate on reviews whether its yelp or Google reviews, but I had to for this place. I have been here twice and both times the cashier seemed to be bitter and found my questions to be more of an inconvenience than interest. The guy with the ponytail was absolutely awesome, he was kind and jumped hoops to help me. I give it two stars for the selection and ponytail guy. Other than that its nothing more than an average game store with a bad impression on a walk in customer. I could have walked in during a bad time, if so disregard my review.

I played in my first ever Magic: the Gathering prerelease tournament here September 30th. The Game Preserve vaulted to the top of my game store list for several reasons:1. Communicative via email. Email is my favorite method of communication, and I was able to get a lot of questions answered that way. Thank you, Derek!2. Accommodating my children. I needed to bring my two kids with me to the event. They went out of their way to be accommodating, letting me know when entire tables would be open so my kids could easily sit with he, giving them welcome decks (theyre over the moon about this), and generally just being welcoming.3. Clean store and play area. This is not always the case everywhere! Haha.4. Generally kind, welcoming, and organized.Great experience. Ill be back for my MtG and other needs, for sure, though theyre not my nearest game store.
