I have been going to Grewals exclusively for my automobiles for 10+ years. Major and Amreek are the owners, they have been very honest with me, their costs are quite competitive if not better than most mechanics I have been to, and they do not push work that does not need to be done. Which is a far cry from many of the other mechanics.Again they are honest, and have even done several small cosmetic things, without charging me for the work, just because it was something they could do quickly while they were doing another job. They are genuine and friendly people, which is becoming scarce in todays business world.They also do their job professionally, quickly, and quite well.

I was recently quoted for 1,600$ for all four of my controls arms and ball joints to be replaced. (extremely rare for all four control arms to go out at the same time). Managed to find 2 other shops willing to do it for 600$. Also they quoted me parts I dont need. I came in acting like I didnt know what was fully wrong with my vehicle and they took advantage. Wouldnt recommend due to overpriced parts.Edit: Shop owner reached out to me to fix the issues. He’s done great work on my past car with correct estimates and proper parts.

Good service and nice people a little on in the pricey side. At 80 dollars an hour which Im no mechanic but the job was more than half done and I gave them all the parts other than the gasket. I cant complain to much they had it back to me the same day. I called a mobile mechanic off of offerup which was my first mistake. Either way good place to take your car for minor repairs nothing major though they dont have the equipment for it.

Happy with the service. Reasonable pricing. No gimmicks like those who claim to offer 40% discount on 60% pre-increased price. Its better to call ahead but they try to accommodate walk-ins too. The owner is a nice lad. The store isnt visible from the Emerson Rd, so using direction on gps is advised. The waiting room is small, and it can be well lit. You cant bring your own oil , you need to purchase what they offer which is Valvoline. But overall less expensive than Valvoline stores.

My Dad took one of our cars to get the fan on the air-conditioning fixed. We were very surprised by the estimate which was hundreds of dollars lower than a particular chain store on US 31 in Greenwood. They were honest and did a great job in a timely fashion. I subsequently took my car in for service and once again received super service at a fair price.I have already recommended their services to quite a few people.Chase

This place has always been fair and trustworthy. I have used them since they were located in South Greenwood. The building interior and waiting room are very nice. The staff are always very friendly and patient. Ill continue to use them any chance I get. Honest service like this is very hard to find anymore unfortunately.

This is a dual review. The first experience that Id had here was for an oil change that I called about an hour before and they made it happen! Cant promise that every time but was a huge bonus. The interaction and the work performed were both excellent. At the end of the interaction they recommended that I get my brakes done soon which I knew and even had a price quote for me. No pressure though which I loved. My next experience was a few minutes ago when I called (once again the same day) to schedule my brake job. #1 they knew my name as they had looked it up by my phone # as he was talking to me, efficient. #2 they had the brake job estimate from my previous visit already up and could re quote me the price and all. I decided to write this before my brake work as I am that confident in the workmanship they will provide.

This place is just great. They know what they do, Great costumer service and a nice place. They dont extra charge you and sometimes fix problems for no price.

Excellent experience! Dropped off my car last minute and they were able to fix it in no time and at a very fair price. They called to explain everything in detail. Great customer service and willl be taking my car back for everything else!

They wont press out wheel bearing for customers that bring in the knuckle spindle and new bearing. So that tells me alot about this shop. They want the entire job or nothing. Sad to know this is what we have to expect from local shops anymore that rely on local customers to keep the doors open. Sad but true... good luck

They are one the biggest private automotive shop in Indianapolis so they have to be doing something right. I went there for the first time for an oil change and since the experience was very good I decided to stick with them. I am now a regular customer. Replaced a $1200 part which the problem ended up being an $800 part that failed & then STILL had issues where the $1200 part failed & had to be replaced (which I question whether it was the part). The guessing of the diagnosis was always at my expense. I now have an absolutely fantastic mechanic that I trust & has consistently gotten the diagnosis correct the 1st time with prices that cant be beat.It was 1+ year ago (so no warranty), the account is in my maiden name & I was so displeased with having to repeatedly leave my vehicle that I chose to have the repair done properly elsewhere.After replacing both power steering assembly, then the power steering pump (twice, which was likely the original issue to begin with)....I left with the power steering STILL whining to which you responded with yet more repairs as a solution (not a diagnosis). The assembly was replaced 1st just to 1 lose power steering control 1 week after the assembly was replaced & find out that the pump needed replaced.I chose to have the repairs inspected elsewhere to find the actual root of the problem. Havent had a problem with a single repair (& proper diagnosis the 1st time) since finding a new mechanic. If the problem is the parts manufacturer (which you also suggested), I would question the long-term quality of those products because in order to have the repair saga with the issues above come to a close, I had to have the work completed elsewhere for a total solution to the issues. I chose to not have the repairs completed under warranty because Id lost confidence in either the repairs or parts.I will say this....you did a great job of proving to me there were issues with my suspension with a video but again...not with the original PS issues which is what my review was based upon & everyone is very courteous. I appreciate the attempts but wanted a total solution for the PS issues which I didnt receive after multiple attempts & quite frankly, I just grew tired of running back & forth dropping off that vehicle.Lastly, I also left my work vehicle to be worked on because it was leaking antifreeze inside the car. You diagnosed & replaced the water pump & a few other things ($800 later) which it might have needed at some point but the vhicle still leaked antifreeze inside. The actual diagnosis (& repair) was the heater core (again done with the new mechanic at an extraordinarily reasonable cost). After $800 in repairs that didnt fix the root cause of the issue on this vehicle, it confirmed that the root wasnt being diagnosed properly in either vehicle so hence again my rating.

I imagine that Grewals does quality work...but Im not really sure since THEY NEVER ACTUALLY WORK ON MY CAR. Twice I have come to them to do work on my car, and twice they never got around to working on it! Both times they said they would call me at a specific time for a quote and when it would be done, and both times I have had to be the one to call them half a day or a whole day later to find out whats going on! The latest issue was with a leaky brake line on my truck. I brought it in monday and they said they would call by the end of the day to let me know the exact cost and said it should easily be done Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. So when I had to call them tuesday afternoon to find out the cost, they told me they wouldnt have it done till Friday!!!! Once again... They probably do great auto work, but it doesnt really matter if they never get around to it...

I have been going to Grewals for 3 years now for car services. I used to own a 97 Toyota Camry and now own a 08 Toyota Prius. My 97 Toyoto Camry had 150,000 miles on it when I bought it and I had to use that car for regular commutes from Indy to the east coast. In all, I put 50,000 miles on the 97 Camry during a 2 year period. Mr. Amreek made sure that the car was in excellent condition for me to drive long distances without the worry of breaking down in the middle of nowhere. Over the course of two years, besides routine oil changes, he performed several repairs on that car (timing belt, water pump, oil gasket, brakes, wiring, spark plugs, etc; pretty much anything except for tires and battery, which I would buy from Firestone and Walmart) and there was never a problem noted after any repair - the car would drive like a Maserati. I would feel safe driving that car on the freeways overnight because Mr. Amreek had looked at it. When I sold the car, I got what I would get for a car in very good condition (per KBB estimates). Oh, did I mention their price quotes which would typically be 25-50% less than Firestone quote for the same job? Also, he would never ask me to repair anything unless there really was a problem. In all, Grewals is highly professional car services, and Mr. Amreek is a very honest shop owner. I would highly recommend them.
