This is the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had! Cristian was so pleasant to work with, was helpful without being pushy, and I left the car lot with a new-to-me car that I’m so happy with! From driving into the lot, to driving out of the lot was only a couple hours and was so chill and effortless. Signing paperwork with Mike was great… he had a great sense of humor and easy to work with. Such a fantastic experience across the board. When we’re ready for a next vehicle, we’ll definitely choose Ray Skillman Kia again!

I cannot give 0 stars out of 5 or I would.My girlfriend and I have received the worst customer service I have ever had at a dealership. We were notified of multiple recalls on our 2020 Kia Soul requiring a replacement of the engine (the pistons were not installed correctly, so they leak oil and cause the engine to fail randomly and can also cause a fire) and they gave us a free rental for the duration of the repairs.They required proof of all oil changes for the repair and we sent in the records we had (we could find three of our records over ~55,000 miles, nowhere enough to cause engine damage) and after multiple attempts at contacting them to hear back about the repairs they inform us that we did not provide sufficient records and that they wont fix the car despite the multiple recalls unless we did a $300 engine flush (which we decided we would do at a Meineke for less than half the price) and notified us to return the rental as they would no longer pay for the rental. We went in the next day to return the rental on top of them refusing to fix the car despite all the recalls, they slap us with an $1,800 rental car charge because they werent going to fix the car for us (we never signed anything saying we would pay for the rental if they didnt fix the car). On top of that, the customer service rep refused to give us the keys to the car until we paid the $1,800 for the rental we were told was free, which we then requested to talk to management.We were threatening to call the police and get them involved at which point we were able to talk to management, who continued to attempt to strongarm us into paying an $1,800 rental car fee we were told would be free which we refused to pay, at which point FINALLY he told us he would send the invoice back to enterprise and made one last attempt at coerce us into paying the fee by telling us it would be going to collections (despite us never agreeing to paying for the rental or signing any paperwork stating we would have to, we read the fine print). When he realized we werent going to budge he finally went and got us our key to the car and we were able to leave without having to get the police involved.Horrible customer service, terrible communication and zero efforts were made at even an attempt at accommodating us despite the fact that CLEARLY Kia built the engine wrong and refused to come up with any solutions. 0/10 would not recommend.

I want to commend the staff of the Ray Skillman Kia on Shadeland Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana on Monday, October 25, 2021 under the lead Manager Dave for super service and hospitality in my untimely desperate time of need. More specifically, J.B. Liddle., Service Advisor, who showed compassion as well as concern for my well-being. I am an out of town visitor whose 2018 Kia Soul defogger malfunction causing safety issues while driving. I contacted three other Kia dealerships in the area which were much closer to my venue but only J.B. offered to squeeze me in their busy schedule to ensure my safety while here and to return home safely. It took all of thirty minutes or less to analyze the problem, to identify the problem, to correct the problem and to send me on my way home. Shout out to Phil and John also who actually serviced my car. Again I appreciate you all for your individual time, gifts of skillmanship and concern for my welfare. KUDOS TO YOU ALL!!! Weve bought 3 KIA automobiles from Ray Skillman. 1 on the south side and 2 from this location. Overall Ive had a good experience there. A tad above the average car dealer. Service has been above average. Ron, in the service department, is a bright spot for sure. Im definitely impressed by the KIA brand. My suggestion to all KIA dealers would be to step up to overall experience. I think it would be a good opportunity to win over undecided to give the brand a better impression. If you are interested in a KIA, I definitely would recommend checking out Ray Skillman Shadeland Ave.

The GM greeted us with a smile and willingness to assist while the sales team was in a meeting. Then came Julian. Julian immediately made me feel like no matter what, I would buy my car from him. His friendliness and personality was amazing. He did everything he could do to work with my stiff budget. Hopefully I wont need a car anytime soon. But when I do, I would love to have Julian sell me my next car if he is not sitting behind a desk with a window. If he is which I hope for. Ray Skillman. I had an appointment at 1:30 on Friday 22nd. I got there and I realized that , this location is not my appointment location. I was so confused and couldn’t figure out where my appointment location is. An employee who his name is J.B.Liddle took care of me anyway. He said “ you are our customer, and since you are here and you said you have and appointment, we will take care of you today.” I very much appreciated him. Their customer service is great. Outstanding experience with Ray Skillman Shadeland Kia purchasing a 2021 Kia Telluride SX V6 AWD Prestige and Nightfall Edition Packages.We visited Ray Skillman after looking for this SUV at other Kia dealers unsuccessfully! We were told at two different dealers that such car had a huge demand that it was going to be practically impossible to get one, or if getting one it was going to be ~10K USD at least over sticker price!!!!Well, we decided to go a bit further (we live in Carmel) and stopped at Ray Skillman - Shadeland. There we met Bob Silvey and Shawn Salinas (Sales manager). They did confirm the high demand for this SUV but started working with us in finding options to order a new one, giving us good options to get it and at about the expected price.We were able to customize our Telluride the way we wanted it (interior and exterior colors, packages, accessories, etc.) with the help of Bob and Shawn, agreed on a price for it, and conditions, and they ordered it to Kia.Our Telluride was ordered, and after a couple of months it arrived just as we wanted it. Yesterday I went to the dealer, closed the deal, and came home driving our beautiful Gravity Gray, Dune Brown leather seats, SX Prestige Package and Nightfall Edition package Telluride.Negotiation was simple and easy, conditions were the expected ones, so overall it was a great experience getting this car. I can say that after dealing in Indiana with Mazda, Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Infiniti and Lexus dealers, this has been by far the best and most positive experience. Kudos to Shawn and Bob for their customer-oriented service, something you dont always see easily in this type of business, and kudos to Kia for bringing to the market a very nice SUV at a pretty convenient price.Thanks to Bob and Shawn, great work with our car shopping experience.If you are looking for a KIA, dont hesitate and drive to Ray Skillman at Shadeland Ave. for a positive experience!

He knew that I was displeased, and made the effort to see if he could get a waiver with it being so close in time. I bought my 2018 10/2020 Kia Soul from Ray Skillman. I had been shopping at multiple dealership looking for the right vehicle before coming here. Greeted by this wonderful salesperson Kayla.I told her exactly what I wanted. I told her that I have been to other dealership Avon, Carmel and Fisher. Those dealership were pushing me into a vehicle that I didnt like. Very disappointed.I politely told her that if she didnt have what I was looking for, please not to waste her time or mine. Finance Dept is a joke. Purchased in May and have had five screwups. They completed my paperwork incorrectly, twice failed to submit my paperwork to the company that financed my purchase, and forgot to pay off my trade-in loan. It took three weeks and three follow ups to get the old loan paid. All of this after arranging 0% financing then later calling me to advise that I wasnt allowed to have that financing because they included a rebate. Also said that I HAD to purchase a 10 year extended warranty to get the 0% financing completely negating the savings in the interest. Completely dissatisfied.

I would give zero if I could. Have had nothing but a terrible experience with Kia for the past month and a half. Took my car there on a recall notice, and they managed to find a way that costs won’t be covered by the recall, even though the letter only says that all diagnostic work will be covered and gives no reasons it might not be. They’ve never called me with a single update on my car, I have had to call every time. For the PAST MONTH AND A HALF! And today I find out my car has just been sitting there waiting for me to pick up but no one thought it was a good idea to call me and let me know. Complete bait and switch and rip off.

We decided to go ahead and place an order for one so we could get just the color and amenities we wanted. Everyone was extremely helpful at this dealership. Best car buying experience ever.My husband and I drove to Indy from for Wayne to test drive a Kia, Telluride. The one I wanted was not in stock but I have never driven one before so we decided to make the trip! Keep in mind we also took our 8 month old son. I was immediately greeted by Oscar the dealership dog which seriously was the highlight of me and my sons day! We were helped right away by hunter a salesman through Shawn the sales manager. Right away they warmed up the car we wanted to drive and got everything situated all we had to do was move our sons car seat. Shawn and Hunter both were very nice and didn’t pressure us at all for ANYTHING. Even the general manager came over to us to see how we were doing and chat. My husband was very clear on what he wanted and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. My husband surprised me with the exact car I wanted within our budget! When I say the best car buying experience I mean it. It was relaxed easy and quick! Not only did we seal the deal quickly , remember I have a 8 month old who couldn’t sit still, THEY DROVE THE CAR TO MY DRIVEWAY AS A SURPRISE!! Fort Wayne to Indianapolis isn’t far but traveling with a baby can be challenging. Seriously the sweetest most easy going group of men to work with. I told my husband we will continue to buy from them because not only did I enjoy the experience I am IN LOVE with my telluride.

The WORST experience I’ve ever had at a dealership. I’m very disappointed. I brought my car in for recall and diagnoses. Ron quoted me $700 for repairs. $300 for engine repairs and $400 for tires. I told him to just do engine repairs. When I came to pick my car up the engine was LOUD and the car stopped only 5 minutes of driving. Literally as I was driving. I started the car back up and I drove it back to Kia. I couldn’t drive over 25 mph. I spoke with Eva and Ron. They had me waiting for my car in lobby for 6-7 hours while they’re trying to figure out what’s wrong with my car. I had to take an Uber home because they weren’t done diagnosing my car. Ron admitted that my car never had a full diagnosis which is why they couldn’t figure out what’s wrong with my car. He said they never lifted the car for diagnoses. The next day I went up to Kia to see if they can fix the car. Mind you already PAID $314. They quoted me $3,200 for repairs. THATS $4000 TOTAL IN REPAIRS KIA QUOTED ME. I told them I just want my car back because now I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Ron and Eva admitted they didn’t diagnose my car up front yet took my money. Ron and Eva were VERY RUDE with me. When I asked for my car back the car was extremely loud. Ron told me that when the service team finally inspecting my car after the third day they had to leave enough air in muffler so it can drive. My car was so loud it was embarrassing and not to mention my car still wasnt fixed. I couldn’t drive over 25 mph. I went to another shop. The owner fixed my car in 40 minutes and only charged my $502 for Cadillac converter and filter. My car drives 100% better! So I called GM at Kia and told him I want my money back. Dave Everett told me no refund. Please be weary of Kia. There was absolulely no accountability on their parts!!!

I found the vehicle I wanted online at Ray Skillman East, submitted an online application, and received a call back within an hour or so. What happened next can only be described as terrible and lack of concern for customers of all backgrounds. When talking with the representative I mentioned some challenges I was experiencing and he told me he would still be able to help get me a vehicle. Sounds great and I was excited a dealership was actually going to work with me. Well too good to be true - apparently after looking more closely over my background I never heard a word. This location demonstrated that talk is cheap and wasn’t truly willing to make things happen for their potential customers. Will never shop Ray Skillman ever. Sad story that a dealer the size of Ray Skillman with access to multiple resources couldn’t deliver on their commitments.

The last two times I brought my car in, I had long wait times, and once they even lost my case and couldnt find anyone to tell me the state of my car. Last week, I took the car in after I had some brake issues. I was quoted a price to fix of almost $1400. When I asked the service center employee for more details about the work, he quickly asked if I had the car paid off, and if I would like to speak to them about trading it in for a new car. I was confused, as the car is definitely worth more than $1400, so I asked why he was recommending that versus fixing it. He said he didnt want to steer me wrong, and would have a sales manager call me. Why would a sales manager know better about the pros and cons of the services needed? Confused, I said I would wait for a phone call from the sales team, just to see what my options were. I waited two days and after not hearing from anyone, had my husband call the service department back to let them know we would be coming to collect the car to get a second opinion. The service department employee told my husband that I had consented to them doing the $1400 repairs and they had already taken my car apart. We said that we had not at all consented, as we were still waiting to hear from the sales team. We went to retrieve the car, took it to another mechanic, who fixed the issues for about $400 less, and of course, didnt try to sell me a new car. I wont be returning to this dealership service center, as this experience was the last straw.

Best dealership experience Ive had so far. The process was easy, convenient, and staff was great. Cristian Alvarado helped find the Stinger gt2 I was looking for. Shawn Salinas helped me get to the best price without too much back and forth negotiation. Mike Evans provided me with best payment options and helped me get financing. David Everett, the General Manager, made sure I was comfortable and I was not pressured into anything. David said I could contact him directly if I have any issues at all or need help with anything. Will definitely recommend Ray Skillman Kia to a friend.

I have been a customer of Ray Skillman Kia for a few years now. I needed a car during an emergency situation and Peggy came in snd saved the day. I have actually purchased two cars from this location. I initially had a Kia Forte and I wanted to trade up to a new year and I sent Peggy my wish list snd she was my fairy godmother and gave me more than I could have ever asked for. The cars they have are all reasonably priced and the purchasing process is flawless snd takes no time to complete. I have not had ONE ISSUE with either car I have driven and one of my fondest memories is my granddaughter laughing and smiling with the sunroof open with a car Peggy personally picked for me. It was one of the last-times I saw her so happy before she passed and each time I get into my car I remember that moment and it makes me smile! God bless Peggy she was my angel in a time of need TWICE and I could not have asked for better customer service. Give them a try I assure you it will be one of the best decisions you ever make!

Had my eye on a hybrid SUV and wanted to get a good look at the Kia Niro. I made it very clear that I was not ready to purchase. Bob was very understanding and showed me the Niro. I loved it so much that my wife and I went back on Saturday. He let us look at all the different classes of Niros before making our decision. The financing was as quick as it can be. We were in and out in just a couple hours. Will most likely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend

This place is amazing! First off the cutest dog, Oscar, greets you and makes you feel at home. I was referred to this location by Dion Crenshaw. He is the real deal, I never thought I would get a car and this location made it HAPPEN! Kevin Evans was my sales person, he was amazing!!!! He was so nice and he explained everything with the car to me. Michelle was the person who first reached out to me and she was soooooo nice. Like she was so transparent and made me feel comfortable and kept up with giving me updates. My finance manager was Mike Evans, let me tell you, he made it happen. I wouldn’t be writing this review without him because I wouldn’t have a car. Mike was AWESOME! Literally I am just so happy !! The general manager I think his name was Dave? Anyways I forget but he’s Oscars owner. He is AMAZING TOO! He was so nice to me and my friend and kept checking in with us and just wanted to make sure our experience was amazing and YES IT WAS! Service has had our 2020 Telluride twice now for the same exact problem. (Heat- apparently this is a known problem with the tellurides to not heat up while idling and even after the vehicle is warm it will blow cold air while idling) We are on day 16 of them having our telluride and the only communication we have received was when we called to check on it on day 7 when we were never contacted. On day 7, we were told they were going to “burp the lines” fast forward to day 16 and still zero communication. I called in to be transferred from person to person to find out any kind of information. After waiting on hold for someone to know where my car even was in the process I was told “burping the lines didn’t work... so today Kia wants us to try something else” Basically, they haven’t touched my vehicle in 8 days! Service is awful. When we dropped off our telluride they forgot we were waiting and we sat in the waiting room for 2 hours “waiting for a car they had available to be pulled around” After waiting so long I went back to service desk where they told me they had completely forgot and could we wait just a little longer because the car needed to be washed. Service is slow! I do NOT RECOMMEND using their service or even a telluride at this point since I can’t even have heat in the winter!!!!

I have had great experiences every time I am in. Bob/Nolan in the sales department were great through the buying process and listed to what I wanted. The service department has been very helpful both times I was in. Once was warranty work and the other to have an oil change. Will continue to use this dealership.
