Called on a whim needing old tires dismounted and new ones put on + balancing (just the wheels didn’t bring entire bike in). J told me come on by anytime only needs an hour at most to get done. Stopped by his shop right before “lunch” time to drop off with hopes it’d be ready in the hour but understood if not because, well, it’s lunch time people need to eat! He got on them RIGHT AWAY no hesitation and finished within 40minutes. Very fairly priced and extremely happy with his service and dedication. A+

I was having a hard time finding a shop that would work on my bike (2000 Kawasaki Vulcan) until I came across jb cycle works. It was definitely a good find, great service, fair pricing and just cool guys in general. 5 stars would use again.

Had to stop here to get my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis back rolling with some new Wheel Spacers. I had 20 inch rims but didnt like the ride and bought some Mustang 17s. Looks mean. Great, knowledgeable staff.Update on my Review---Some D-Bag from JB Cycles is acting all tough.....its not my fault that Google picked his info for a business I used, when in fact the business I used and JB Cycles must use the same address as the wheel shop I used has that same motorcycle inside.If the D- Bag from JB Cycles doesnt remove his comment I may just have to give them less stars. Took my Honda Shadow Sabre VT1100 to Jay to get the exhaust header gaskets replaced.. And am I glad. One bolt sheared off while being removed. It was basically fused to the aluminum of the engine. The other three bolts came out with no issues. Jay had to extract what was left of the one bolt, and do some welding on the flange of that header. Otherwise it was not going to fit right. He does first class work at a fair price.

Honest, skilled and friendly. Jay has been repairing my motorcycles for years. He has never once cheated or even slightly overcharged me. When he has returned my bikes, they have always been fixed. His advice is sound. Hes the ideal mechanic and a good guy. I highly recommend him.

Took in my new to me 2008 Kawasaki ninja ex500d to get the front tire changed and wheel rebalanced. Ended up needing new brake pads, which he had in stock and provided immediately.Amazing and quick service, he treated my bike as if it were his own.Would recommend to friends and family.

Unfortunately, the Houston area is littered with motorcycle shops that aren’t very professional and don’t perform quality work. After scouring the city and internet reviews last year, I came across JB cycles and gave him a call to explain the problem I was having with my bike and inquire when I could bring it in. JB seemed very friendly on the phone and asked that I check back with him later that week. Later on that week, I called back and JB informed me that he’s a one man shop and his shop is still full. Thanksgiving holiday came and left so I thought I’d try JB again since he has great reviews, was very friendly on the phone, my bike still needs repair, and he possibly had an opening. JB answers the phone and I reminded him about the bike not starting and he let me know that he’s still unavailable. A week goes by and my second bike that was my daily rider will not shift from 1st to 3rd gear. I call JB again and tell him what happened and he asked me to call him back on Saturday and he should be able to get one of the bikes in. I call Saturday and he says that some of his customers asked for extra services while their bike was in so he still had no availability. Understandable, so Christmas and New Year’s holiday pass and I give JB a call hoping that by now I can finally get one of my bikes in. Same answer, no availability but check back. I do so and now it’s February, so before Valentine’s Day and the lady breaks my pockets, I check with JB. This is the exact text I sent On Feb 12 @10:37am : Hi JB. I was checking to see if today is a good day to bring my bike in or if you’re still unable to get it in like last week. Feel free to give me a call at your earliest convenience. JB responds: Ken, The shops still full. There are people that have waited longer than last week to try and get their bike in here... Im a one man shop and can only get done what I can. You may want to try a another shop if your in a hurry. Thanks JayJB Cycles. So then I responded by texting: No, I’m not in a hurry. I actually called you last year and spoke with you several times on the phone and you asked me to call you today. I’m the guy with the 2 bikes, one that will not shift from 1-3rd gear and the other that won’t start. So today, feb. 20 @ 11:38am I text JB asking again: Good morning, JB. I was checking to see if you’re still full or if I can bring one of my bikes in for service? He responds by saying: Sir after our last conversations I really dont want to work on your bikes please find some one else. I replied by saying: You must be having a bad month. I text nothing that was wrong and was just inquiring when you would have an opening.In my opinion, customer service and a professional attitude should be every business owner’s number one priority. Maybe it’s time for JB to seek out ANGER MANAGEMENT classes or hire someone with BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. IF YOU DECIDE TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS GUY I HOPE YOU CATCH HIM ON A GOOD DAY OTHERWISE HE MAY GO POSTAL ON YOU FOR ASKING WHEN YOU CAN BRING BUSINESS (MONEY) to him. Ive been going to JB Cycles for almost 3 years now, and my experiences have been consistently superb. Jay is an excellent mechanic, honest businessman, and great personality. I always have fun and learn something new when I take my bike in, and he charges very reasonably.

Great fast service and reasonably priced

Jay is knowledgeable and I found him to be reliable, upfront and trustworthy. I have a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja EX that was dead as I hadnt ridden in 10 months. Jay cleaned it up and got it up and running, without taking advantage of me or hitting me up with a lot of miscellaneous charges. After the new battery he put in died within two weeks he took the time to figure out what the problem was -- the phone charger that I had previously connected to the battery was always live and so was draining my battery whether the bike was on or not. As Im a relatively new rider, its a huge gift to have a knowledgeable bike mechanic around whom I can trust. I will definitely be returning to JB Cycles for any bike needs I have moving forward!

Great guy. Looked at my bike right away, fixed the loose part that brought me in, took it around the block, diagnosed my secondary problems, and sent me off. Twenty minutes total. Since he didnt have any parts, he didnt even charge me for the help with re-attaching my gear shift rod.He knows what hes talking about and he cares about his business, which is a sole proprietorship. This is the type of person you always want to hire. Go here first.

I took my my 1984 Kawasaki ZN700 to Jay and he was the only one in town who would even look at this old bike. There were carb problems, and also compression issues and he was able to order the parts (took a little while) and was able to rebuild the engine and carbs in 2 separate stages. All in all, it took over a month to get the job done, but I was super happy that my bike was salvageable. I will definitely be taking my bike to JB Cycles in the future and loved that the price in the end for all that work was very reasonable. Highly recommended if you want the job done right, but have the patience to wait it out (Im generally impatient, and Jay managed my expectations reasonably). I ride 3-4 times a week now, thanks to Jay. Definitely the first place to take your bike if it is a vintage model. Ill be looking for some other classic bikes to buy now and will take to Jay to get them running smooth down the road. Two thumbs up!
