A great place to go, practice and have fun. Everyone is always super helpful and extremely friendly. I highly recommend checking them out, and keep in mind that if you have one of their T-shirts you can shoot for free on Tuesdays. One of the best places in Houston to practice without question.

The staff are super friendly and nice, targets are you 2$ each. Lane fee 17$ I would definitely visit again. As well as I recommend this place. Worth the visit and the money.

If you are a novice / totally inexperienced with Guns, this is the place to visit . They actually have an introduction class. Friendly service, and prices seem reasonable. Instructors seem very professional and well experienced. They have handguns that they rent, as expected you buy your own ammunition. Will be back again.

I visited this range August 2014, first of all this is where I learnt how to shoot, I most say it was Anambra amazing experience with the best instructors. If I’m ever in Houston I will definitely visit again.

The staff was amazing!! Very polite and informative individuals. The gentleman at the front desk was very patient even with the small line that was occurring. Ana (one of the Managers) at that time had help me with a FFL transfer and dropped some knowledge bombs about stuff i didnt even know about. The location is very clean, properly maintained and straightforward with the signs of where everything is. Definitely would recommend this location.

Amazing Customer Service. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a warm welcome by Ana and Anthony. I asked them about the retail area of the store and they guided me over to Chris. During this period of time do not go here on the weekend unless if you have a reservation for range.Waited more than an hour when I was told every 30 min that I will be next. After almost 2 hours I decided to ask for a Free voucher to go back another day since I wasn’t going to get a refund. It used to be one of my favorite ranges because I would go in and out no with no problems and no waiting for a lane to open. Also the range doesn’t open till 12 please udpate the time you guys are open.

Awesome place. Staff is friendly and will answer any question you have. While at the range I was sweating, there needs to be more ventilation. The location looked very nice!Price is a bit higher than I am used to but its reasonable.Kind of sad that this location and the Katy location share name but they do not have the same system.

Took the handgun essentials class to get ready to take my LTC test. Anna was an awesome instructor and her style of teaching is really effective. She helped me get a much better grasp on the fundamentals when using a handgun since I only had experience with shotguns and hunting rifles. I wouldnt recommend any one else, even if you are completely new to shooting Im confident Anna can get you where you want to be.

Yesterday I went to Boyert shooting range for the first time. It was a great experience to learn to use a gun safely and correctly. One of the instructors Naomi showed me everything I needed to know since it was my first time using a gun. She took me step by step. The atmosphere was clean, a good selection of guns and the instructors are very professional and friendly.

I bought rifle from Boyert today. Chris was super knowledgeable and helpful. I was not familiar with the rifle platform at all. He helped me take the rifle apart and assemble it. He also gave me cleaning, maintenance, and upgrade advice. Chris ordered cleaning supplies for me as well. Lastly, he did all this while helping other customers and answering a phone call.I am super impressed by this place and Chris. I well be coming back soon.

Went to the range earlier today. Very professional and courteous staff. I appreciate the military and veteran discount for the range. The prices for buying firearms and accessories there is more expensive than some other places but I appreciate a staff member explaining different firearms to me even though I didnt end up buying from there. Though, I will definitely go back here periodically to use the range. Very clean, A/C, adjustable lighting.

This is a great place to learn how to shoot a gun and the staff is a amazing. It not like most gun ranges in Houston. They are very welcoming.

I have been to Katy and Westheimer, like both locations. Good collection of guns to rent, buy and target practice. Carry license and other training/classes available. I target practice my handguns, shotguns and rifles at Boyert. To the best of my knowledge use of Steel casing is prohibited. Unlike many other ranges I can shoot Bird or Buck shots in shotguns.

The staff here is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and involved in ensuring the best experience for everyone that walks through the door. My LTC class had to be rescheduled and Will called me to explain everything and help me rebook. He was very helpful through the whole process. I refuse to shoot or purchase from anywhere else!

Had a great time on Saturday with friends and want to give a shout out to Faith and Chris for there great customer service. Faith is very calm and well inform about weapons and very patient. Chris is very friendly and amazing in customer service especially having a great understanding in communication, especially kind hearted. Will be visiting more often now.

I’ve been to Boyert on Westheimer several times in the last few years and they are always stocked and convenient. The last time I went Chris helped me find everything that I needed in a timely manner. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable. I will definitely return here.

My husband and I just finished our LTC class. Our instructor was Miguel Rodriguez (Mike) he was awesome, super nice, answered everyones questions, great sense of humor, very knowledge and made everyone feel comfortable. The place itself also has great workers, all were very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. Great place!

The one in Katy is infinitely better. I dont need to be treated like a second class citizen nor do I need to be mocked by the older janitor for being an immigrant. Settle your affairs, its a business, not a pub.

My first visit to Boyert this past week found the staff helpful, professional and quite courteous. A good selection of products and accessories for a showroom of their size with products competitively priced. Their willingness to volunteer to order items they do not currently have in stock was refreshing. The facilities are modern, clean and well lighted. Considerable thought and planning is evident in the design and layout of the uncluttered and well organized retail area.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have guns to rent and staff to help if you have issues with yours.

I went there because I was impressed by their state-of-the-art facilities but the reason why Ill be back is their customer service! I inquired about self defense ammo and Chris at the Westheimer location took his time to explain the differences and which would be ideal for my firearm. I was greeted at the front by Sidnee, she was able to answer all of my questions and sent me in the right direction to get gear I needed for my pistol. I visited here in December 2016 and think Boyert deserves a five star rating on several accounts. Firstly, this facility is very clean cut and proves trustworthy to do business in. This was my first time shooting a hand gun, so I took the Handgun Essentials class with trainer Nolan and he was a great teacher- he was professional, skilled, and down to earth which made me very comfortable. I had so much fun learning and shooting with Nolan that I stayed another 5 hours and rented another 4 guns! Callie at the front desk was helpful and professional in helping me discern what guns to try. On another note, I appreciate that this is a local small business preserving jobs for so many bright young Americans. I respect the effort Boyert puts in to standing up for our second amendment right and their voice of reason on social media. Very cool place! I look forward to coming back soon!

This is not okay. I spoke to the manager and he was combative word for word and Never apologized for how poorly he handled the situation. The experience was a little traumatic for me and possibly my son. The business practice your manager made a false allegation against my son he turned around a situation around to make it seem like it could have been very life-threatening to other individuals.I couldnt sleep that night and I was very stressed. As a mother Im just concerned with how my son is perceived as a young African American man, I feel that the actions were a little extreme. We both absolutley respect the rules of your business. I paid $140.00 for a one hour experience and I was told if I was told anything one more time I would be asked to leave. This was not a good experience.Please have the owner call me I would like to know how to file a complaint.

This is my go to place for shooting pistols every time. The facility is clean, up to date, and staffed with professionals who arent wanna-be special forces types that think they are Gods gift to firearms.Prices are always on spot and they dont gouge on ammo when I need a few extra boxes. Plus they let me recovering my brass for reloading which is a major plus. A lot of ranges wont let you do that. Their sales dept has a pretty decent selection and will score you a weapon if they dont have it on display.

I signed up at the Katy location and I asked if my membership would be good at both locations and they said yes. So, me and a couple of friends go this location on Westheimer. When I checked in, I told the lady at the desk that I am a member of the Katy location. She disgustedly told me, that is only good at that location. We only share the name, not the memberships. I asked her why would they tell me that? That makes no sense. She then sighs and looks for me in the computer and responded with your not in the system. So, Im like ok, whatever. I ended up paying for 3 lane rentals, 4 boxes of ammo all at full price because my membership benefits are not honored at this location. i paid over $125 for lane rentals and ammo. I dont know who came up with that policy, but, I for one as well as my friends will never go back to this particular location. I will tell all of my gun loving friends about this location and have them go elsewhere than this place. If this is how they treat a member, I wonder how they treat walk-ins or non members? VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WONT BE COMING BACK!

I’m editing my review because of the Manager. I liked the way he reached out to me to rectify the unpleasant experience we had. I appreciate his customer service. Hope to visit this facility again some time. I hope we have some good experience. Also i’m increasing my rating because of this customer service.My experience: The lady at the front desk is very unprofessional and made our experience here unpleasant. Her condescending behavior is uncalled for. It looks like she is substituting her inefficiency with rude behavior towards clientele. If she is incapable of dealing with people i suggest she should not be at the front desk.I understand gun business is serious but that doesn’t mean you have to make customer’s experience at the range very unpleasant.Apparently the common complaint in all their reviews is about her. I hope the management trains her on this aspect.To management: Please hang a sign at the entrance saying “only for professionals”, if you can’t help newbies.

Today was the first time I went to this shooting center. The facility was clean and well laid out. The people working here seemed nice and knowledgeable. The down side is they seem to scan IDs to a shooting range which is a red flag for identity theft. At the end of the day it is a shooting range...

Great place to shoot and train.They are always very nice and friendly. If your a LEO or have a CHL its a great place to sharpen your skills. Much better than the other rang I use to shoot at down the street by the Galleria. Its amazing what a difference an owner makes.

Incredible facility and amazing staff. Youll be impressed from the minute you walk in. I met with Chris Shultz and I gotta say hes one cool guy. I got to watch him install sights on another customers Glock 17 and had some great conversations with him while I was there. Chris is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I ended up leaving Boyert Shooting Center with an M17 Bravo and I couldnt be happier. I will definitely be returning for my next firearm purchase and range time.Thanks again Chris, I couldnt be happier with this purchase.

I dont shoot much, but went with a friend. The place is very nice and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Took the time to explain the rules, and encouraged us to ask for help if we needed any. Not like the other two places I have shot (Top Gun and ASC), where they act like they are doing you a favor to let you shoot. After shooting, a member of the staff was kind enough to demo their simulator shooting room, which was impressive. We will definitely be going back not only to use the range, but also to use the Simulator, and will take some friends who would enjoy the shooting experience but are a little nervous about being around actual firearms.

First time there it was a family affair me and my two sons age 34 19 had a great time. The staff there were very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you to the staff dont change we will be back.

Pretty cool place, but wish there was more than one option for a target. Otherwise its 1.50-1.75 more. Not a bad price but most ranges give you different selections then you pay if you want a second target. Also the first time I had to fill out info such as address , phone # etc. . FINALLY an enjoyable place to shoot. Staff is friendly and non-pretentious and the facility is well kept. You can rapid fire because they understand you might have to do that in real life. No safety nazis in the range but they do go over safety precautions before shooting. The merchandise (non-firearms) I purchased was priced lower than Amazon if you can believe that!One request is to allow steel cased ammo. Please dont make me have to use my military grade brass 7.62x39 ammo just to shoot my AK47 there. I need it for ISIS. Id likely just go to an outdoor range. Find a way to make that small but critical change and you guys will be untouchable!

I want to start by saying that if you have never done this before this is the last place you want to go ,the young girl at the front desk is very unfriendly and if you dint know how to use a gun she makes you look stupid because even though I told her that my son who is 15 and me had never done this she wanted us to show her how to load and lock a gun ,or we were gonna have to pay 35.00 for to someone to show us how .i thought why if I already bought the entrance,the equipment rented the gun and emmo why was a small lesson not included for new customers like us,anyways after telling her to return my money she call s guy and that person took us to the shooting lane and may be show my son for one minute how to load and left us there ,we were confused not even knowing how to move the target ,it was our first time going I will never go back ,very rude people there ,i think this place is for professionals ,it could be dangerous,these are real guns and they don’t show you how to use it if you dint know how you are screwed and by the way is very expensive . And this review is for the Katy location.

Awesome range. Clean. Employees are well informed and helpful. Not too pushy or hanging around you while your walking through the store. Not much of an experienced shooter, but I feel like I can ask questions no matter how dumb it may seem, and get a straight forward answer.Recently took a CHL class and enjoyed it. The instructer (and owner ) John was great. I was a little skeptical of taking the class but I will definitely refer others. Kept the class on track and prevented the students from hitting him with too many what-if situations and going out on tangents. Also very well informed about the laws (as any instructor should be). Very inviting for questions. He wants to make sure you leave the class with no doubt in your mind of what you can and cannot do.

I have no idea what the range is like because they did not answer their phones a half-dozen times in a row, an hour after they opened.Memorial Shooting Center on Witte st. is excellent though, I was looking for a place a little closer to home but a business that picks up the phone is a million times better than any business that doesnt.

Been there couple of times , When I registered at Westhimer location for LTC class before a week , fees already paid, I asked them clearly if something happen make me not able to attend they said NO problem , We will refund your money . After few days I realized I will not be able to attend , called them on June 11,2019 at 4.35 PM , The manager told me to come with your credit card and you will get your money back . Today June 13 , 2019 at 4.25 PM the lady over there refused to refund my money and even not well cooperated , I am wondered how those people working as a customer service ! , they just lost a permanent client who will advise a lot of friends to avoid going there . I DONT KNOW IF HER NAME IS RUTH OR SHAAG

My current favorite place to shoot. They dont charge by the hour, and theyre not as restrictive on load size as the next two nearest gun ranges are. The only problem, and this was really a misconception on my part, was that I thought their range would be bigger. For some reason I was envisioning 15 or more lanes, each in excess of 30 yards or more. Dont know where I got that from, and like I said, it was no fault of their own. They do have around I believe 8 lanes, which max at 15 yards. They also have other attractions like simulations, and of course a sprawling gun store. All well and good, but if youre just looking for a place to shoot that isnt as restrictive as its next closet competitors, Boyert Shooting Center is for you.

Today was our 2nd time here (July 5, 2019) and it was absolutely horrendous. First we were told there was an the hour wait (by the most unfriendly young girl at the sign-in counter in front of the guns) which I get, but I assume they expect you to sit there and wait rather than take down your number to call you when its ready...but Im getting off track.We wait an hour and get assigned lane 22. The hour timer starts as we get into our assigned bay. We find that the previous shooter used a shotgun which shredded the cardboard backing into tissue paper (unable to hold a target) and the black binder clips used on it to hold targets were shot and destroyed. I went out front to ask for a new cardboard backing and new clips. We were told no one was available but they would be with us as soon as they could (our bay timer is down to 50 minutes remaining). Second trip to the front desk to get someone to assist us is met with someone will be right there.Guy shows up with a new cardboard backing when we have 45 minutes remaining on bay timer...buuuut he doesnt have new binder clips. He leaves and returns and now we have 42 minutes remaining. We have to ask to have the timer reset.Our shooting goes without incident until we have two little boys running around next to us on bay 21 and whose parents dont do anything to control them. Seriously, this is a live fire range. Then about 20 minutes later, as we were packing up our gear, a couple arrives on bay 25 and he is clearly teaching her to shoot. However, they have zero gun control and at one point his handgun is on his shooting table and pointed into the plexiglass and the other shooters (I walked over to ask him to point to weapons downrange). The lady he was with wasnt keeping the handgun pointed downrange when handling it either.Altogether is was like a playground in there with the workers monitoring the shooters in the bays through video monitors instead of walking through the ranges to correct unsafe behaviors.As I stated this was my 2nd visit but it was also my last. Good luck if you visit this establishment.

Had a gift card went with a buddy shot my pistols and rented their full auto AK. The staff were nice guys had an issue with my lane they took care of it right away.

Came in to take a shooting test to renew my instructors certification and found everyone at the range to be super friendly, and very accommodating (often times ranges arent very nice to outside instructors). Highly recommend!
