A new battery was needed and they had one in the store. An employee installed it for us and took the old battery away. Great experience!

I was in and out with a new battery installed in less than 30 minutes. Que did a great job.

Bought a battery a year ago. It wouldnt hold charge and they replaced over the counter with my receipt.

They didnt have hardly any battery parts not a good selection. No one asked if I needed any help finding anything.

Found just what I wanted, it was a quick in and out.

6 employees present and not one offered to help me as I stood at the counter. I hope business remains great...I took mine elsewhere.

I dont usually take time to write about good service, but this store has been very helpful. Every experience has been good.

Was in this past Saturday to purchase a battery. Had to interrupt salesperson on the phone talking to his girlfriend. He just didnt seem very knowledgeable about the battery I purchased quoting the wrong CCA and trouble putting in my phone number and zip into the computer. Ive had good service from them in the past but will avoid him if hes still there the next time Im in. Left a little disappointed.

Always have what I need. The employees are helpful. Buy battery and they install for free. TIP: Usually their website will offer an online coupon code. Code not usable in store so order online to save the $, then pick up your order in store in 30min. Website accepts PayPal which really speeds up checkout.

Sean is the best and makes this place great to go to. I would not be a patron if it wasnt for him. Not because I have a problem with company, but just because I would shop wherever he is. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the place is organized and clean. The location is especially great and honestly by far the best I have ever been to. They are willing to help with questions and even have helped me install simply things in my car. I really love this hoover/vestavia (hwy 31) location.

I have been a loyal customer of this location for 2 years. The quality of service has declined to where now I will be taking my business elsewhere. Staff is unhelpful and usually they sit at the front counter and talk to each other instead of helping customers. Asked a guy stocking shelves if they have more of this gear oil in the back and he tells me, ask them up front. The past two times the cashier doesnt ask for my phone number, so I dont get loyalty points and coupons. So whats the point? Surely I can find another store that is interested in keeping good customers around.

Advance is my go to parts store. Make sure to sign up for speed perks and use coupon codes on their web site. Even if you are going into the store to pick up your purchase, order online to get the discounts and just go pick it up.

The service is horrendous every time I go into this store. I entered my order online the night before. I went in at approximately 11:15 and it wasnt even pulled. Whats the point of entering your order and paying for it if its not ready? I waited and observed and the gentleman behind me was overlooked twice while the other salesman was looking at his phone worrying about what he was going to get for lunch. I can go on and on. This same guy is patiently waiting and a couple walks in and someone walks up and they wait on them. Oh and on my order they kept saying they didnt have the cabin filter and finally after 10 minuets they found it. I would not recommend anyone go to this store.

It is hit or miss depending on how many people are in line and who you happen to get to help you. Seems like there is a lot of turnover staff wise. Selection is pretty good on stock parts and for bigger ticket items, if they dont have it they will get it. It is a safe bet youll find what you need for your weekend auto projects. They also have a small selection of motorcycle and small engine (lawn mower, weed eater, etc) parts.

Busy but good service

The staff here was very generous to me of their time and expertise. They spend time helping me despite the fact it became apparent after a while that I needed a fix bigger than what I could buy from their store. One employee even pulled his car by mine to jump it off after and jumppack wasn’t working. Then they invited me to wait inside while a tow truck came to pick me up. Very pleased with the service. Will definitely return for auto parts in the future.

Needed an oil cap for a 1998 Lexus. No way one is in stock. Wrong. Was in stock. Salesman does not trust computer for fit so he comes out to the car and we compare the two and decide it will work. Go back inside and it was like $9. Would have been at least $25 at dealership. Tried to tip the guy and he refused. Good to have an experience where they make time for you and are helpful. Way to go Advanced Auto Parts.

I recently moved near this Advanced and have been stopping here and there to grab small things for my truck. A team member named Kam really helped me out. Not only was he welcoming and kind, he had knowledge of all the products I needed to get giving me the best value. Also props to Kam again for being well groomed.(which you dont often see in the auto industry/ retail). Will shop here again and recommend to friends .

Great place to take your car for parts needed friendly and kind service

Stopped by to get my windshield wiper replaced. Got new Rain-x wipers and they were quick to install it for me. I was in and out of the store with brand new windshield wipers installed in about 15 mins or less.

Carried my wifes car to have the battery replaced after ordering online for pickup at this store. Staff was very professional, helpful, and service was quick and efficient.

I located the item I wanted while employees were busy chatting. I knew they carried the product because of my internet search, certainly not from any assistance in store.

Guys quickly identified problem when I was in trouble and needed help. Didnt have part in stock but suggested solution. Will return when Im ready to tackle next repair.

Some guy rudely answered the phone and put me on hold and never gave me the chance to say anything. Left me on hold for 4 minutes and I assumed he wouldnt ever come back to the line. Called back...same thing. Someone needs to teach this rude guy some manners.

So, I purchase an A/C compressor from Advanced to have it installed at Express Oil Change. Less than two months later the compressor goes bad. Because of the faulty compressor I get to pay 100.00 for Freon and 200.00 for labor or install the new one. Through no fault of my own Im out 300.00 and no one wants to take responsibility for it. Poor Customer Service.
