A little off the beaten path but definitely a gem among rocks. The atmosphere here is unbelievably pleasant, I feel like Ive been transported to New York with the bagel options, which this place is known for.Ive been here before but not in the morning like my last visit. I ordered the granola and fruit bowl, as well as the con panna. Both of these were excellent!

I absolutely love this place. The food and desserts are always so consistently good, as are the staff and customers. Parking lot is small but have never had difficulty finding a stall. Their scones are what make them famous, but I always need to have a breakfast burrito if I go in the morning. Whats in their display case always changes, but has never let me down. Even their yogurt and homemade granola is never a disappointment. Long live Sure Shot Cafe, Makikis neighborhood gem :)

Still serving great coffee after all these years. The toddies are always a good, satisfying choice especially with a touch of milk. Their pastries - like a slice of pumpkin crunch - never disappoint. They even have breakfast favorites if youre looking for something more substantial.

I worked here for about a year and im noticing a trend of people saying caramel machiato was bad, keep in mind a machiato isnt a sweet drink like they have at Starbucks but espresso topped with foam, I will let you know that all the meat and cheese are just microwaved, and the waffles are just plain waffle mix, pastries are your best bet here because most of the staff have no idea how to make coffee (especially non dairy) kiko people have been saying for YEARS to stop using the Styrofoam cups but it seems like you just want the cheapest option, compostable plastic cups are easy to find and present a lot more proffessional

My experience at the Sure Shot was tasty and satisfying. I have the ruben, and my wife had the salmon bagel sandwich, both were amazing! And oh, the scones were unbelievable, so much so that we purchased a couple for the road. The customer service was quality and the woman at the register, I believe she was the manager. Well she was engaging and generous as she gave us two free scones when we purchased the two for the road because she thought they were too small.

I ordered a melt. They toasted two pieces of toast and then on a separate plate they heated up deli turkey and a slice of cheese in the microwave. Then they put it together. That is not a melt. I ordered it on white bread, no mustard, turkey and Swiss...that isn’t what I got. I got it on wheat bread, with mustard, turkey and cheddar. It’s like they weren’t even trying. Also get a bathroom for your customers! My husband needed to use the restroom and they sent him to a building (two buildings away) and gave him a code for the door. When he got there the entire building was locked. So he couldn’t even get to the coded door. When he came back to tell the barista she told him that the property owners didn’t open and they didn’t have a key to that door. So when they’re gone they don’t have a bathroom. Rather than offering my husband their employee bathroom they suggested he go outside somewhere.

None of any hotel waffles get close to the one I had here - reminded me more of the ones I had in Europe (Poland, to be precise). Coffee was strong and strong tasting (even though it was an iced late). I would add it to one of Honolulus must visit places, though its 5min drive from Waikiki beach (about 30min walk).

I really enjoy this coffee shop, the customer service is always great. Some of the food is mediocre. I recommend the sure shot shake, its a blended espresso/ice cream drink super good. The pumpkin crunk is wonderful and always fresh. Its a little weird inside and seems like they never finished unpacking but it has charm. Its nice to just sit in there and eat your food and drink your coffee. This is one of my favorite coffee spots to go to. As far as the coffee is concerned, this place actually has real half and half/cream and its nice and cold. They dont have those gross mini moos or artificial creamers. A lot of coffee shops on the island dont have real cream, this one does and I love it. It has a great atmosphere. I usually get a toasted bagel and cream cheese it nothing special but it does the trick. The oatmeal is pretty good too. On the weekends they have waffles. I was expecting them to be gross, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, it was actually one of the best waffles I have had on the island, and they make them to order. I would go with the waffles if you are going to try it out, they only serve them on Saturday and Sunday and I believe they start serving them at 9 a.m. They also have a variety of sandwiches, I have never tried them but they actually look pretty good. The prices are good unless you are getting baked goods, like the slices of pies or cakes, then its easy to drop $15-$20 bucks. Overall everything is fresh and the customer service is great, its a little hidden and has that cozy feel to it. Its my go to place!

Sure Shot Cafe is a pleasant unassuming Cafe with vegan friendly food options, simple yet delicious lattes with scores of flavor options, a small but decent selection of teas, and wonderful service. My girlfriends and I are at this Makiki hole-in the-wall cafe every Sunday morning for 4” high waffles w fruit and whipped cream on top (only on Sunday). During the week I’ll drive over for a tuna bagelwich ( other flavors available) on da best bagel. Lox and bagels always available- lots of cream cheese, capers and tomato slices. Regular sandwiches, oatmeal and granola always there + fresh baked scones, muffins, pies and fat cake slices. Always adding new items. And of course teas, coffees and more drinks in various sizes. A very comfortable atmosphere but small tables. Small place

The staff are okay and the coffee is hit or miss - sometimes hot sometimes Luke warm - my last visit, the entire place was beyond filthy dirty (it’s usually just filthy) - none of the tables had been cleaned or wiped down all day. I asked if some one could wipe down a table for me to sit at and nobody moved - they looked at me blankly. I said, “How do I know you guys even serve your coffee in clean cups?” The staff of young women looked at each nervously. You can bet that this place doesn’t do a good job cleaning their machines or other food handling equipment - I will not go back and I would advise others to not do business here either.

Oh boy! Cream cheese browny, a large cafe latte and a reuben sandwich ... covers all what I want to eat for breakfast. I like sweet and savory food for breakfast - yes, I know this is a lunch meal, (haha) but its just the way I eat. Actually, after eating these for breakfast, I was not hungry for the rest of the day. It was pricey though approximately $15 [my budget is usually $10 for breakfast. I know, I know, I am a cheapskate 😝

Great coffee, food, and staff.A WORD OF ADVICE:If it looks like its packed and crowded, DONT LEAVE! Because of the physical make-up of the old building, 4 or 5 patrons will make it look packed, but it is not. The wait wont be long, but if it is, it will be worth it.Giving yourself a little extra time will be a good idea. The best time is between 6 & 7 am, before the rush. That way you can enjoy your coffee and fresh-baked-that-morning scones, and chat with some of the great staff. This is definitely Makikis diamond in the rough.

This is a true hole in the wall. if youre not careful youll drive right past it. Parking is on the side and is limited, its shared space with other small businesses. Only a few tables inside so seating is limited. There is usually a line to get coffee and snacks. I have other favorite coffee places in town but this is a place that I will visit again if I happen to be on Wilder. The coffee was not as strong as I like it, so next time Ill talk to them and let them know what I like.
