Ive been a customer of Security & Sound Systems since my first college car. That was a long, long time ago. And Kent has been there the whole time, crouched behind the counter of an unassuming space under a walk-up apartment building. I once spent more on speaker upgrades than I did on the car that I put them in.When Apple Car Play became a thing, I went to Kent to put a basic Pioneer aftermarket head unit in my 2013 Mazda. As a Mililani to town daily commuter, it was probably the best investment I made in my car. So when I got a 2017 Honda, he set me up with a Wireless CarPlay unit from Kenwood. I asked for the most basic model, but since he only had the one-step-up in stock, he put that in for the same price.The install techs, Im sure, are great people, but its Kents low-key style, local vibe, and knowledge of car tech that makes the difference.When I get my next car in 10 years, Id like to think Kent and Security & Sound Systems will still be there.

Sure most people focus on the item(s)/service(s) that theyre spending money on, but would you go back to that same place if the service was poor or unsatisfactory to you? I bet not. They carry brand name products and the prices are very reasonable. Their service just capped off the entire experience. Easy check-in/drop-off, as well as, the picking up. They explained all my options and have very good product knowledge to best help with my decision making. Upon picking up of my car, they gave me all the info I needed to know about my alarm and even took the time to walk me through the alarm settings. With the time duration, quality of work, and customer service...you need to give them a call IF you want the same experience I got when doing business with them!! I seen Kent and his team before. They did my install for my alarm on my truck. So I decided to go back to install my truck power tailgate lock. Very professional, clean and they are very customer orientated. I think the best sound and alarm shop on the island hands down. This company is INCREDIBLE! Kent absolutely provides the best service and always courteous! I have armed two vehicles with them and they go above and beyond to accommodate my schedule struggles. They offer rides and options to drop and pick up your car. Their service is prompt, they take care of your car and treat it like their own. The products for alarms are top notch, work so well and they explain everything in detail! Prices reasonable and well worth it! I wont go anywhere else!

I just went 8n this morning to ask about reverse camera prices & installation. I was not impressed. No customer service skills...at all. Everything in there is overpriced. I dont know if I spoke to the owner or not (looked like he was) but he discouraged me from buying anything on the cheaper end. To me he had a bad attitude. I am a small business owner myself and I dont treat any of my customers the way he treated me. Even if they do good work or have quality products I will never go back there. Bradah needs to work on his customer skills!

Not all stereo shops are equal! I wanted some work done to my car, and after researching/talking with friends, I chose Security & Sound System. Kent answered all my questions with professionalism, asked me what I was going after and suggested 3 different ways to get there. Everything was explained clearly to me after the install and I am happy with my choice.....so happy I had them do my alarm a little while later too. This is the only place Ill take my car.

Superb customer service. Came in for a flip up double din unit they did not have in the store, but not to worry, Kent the owner made a phone call and had the item delivered and installed the same day! Kent even called to see where I wanted the usb connector that came with the unit.The technicians were also very helpful in setting up my phone along with showcasing all the features of the unit itself. I highly recommended this stereo shop.In addition, they are very responsive on their yelp page and will provide price quotes.

The staff at Security and Sound Systems were awesome. I wanted to get a new stereo system and the staff easily picked out the perfect system for me based on my budget and needs. They quoted an hour in a half worth of labor and I was presently surprised that my vehicle was finished in 30minutes, a full hour early! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get a new sound system!

Kent is the man! Hes Very helpful. Call in advance though, so he can make you an appointment. He helped me both times and I really appreciated the help. Installed my car alarm and fixed an issue when I needed it the most.

I have been doing business with Security and Sound Systems for over 15 years. And throughout those years there has never been an absence of excellent customer service. Kent and his team go above and beyond the job to make sure that the customer is completely satisfied with the job requested and understands every aspect of the installation.I went in to get an alarm installed as well as some other goodies, and the sub woofer from my old vehicle. But to my surprise my old sub didnt even fit behind the seat at all! I asked Kent what my options were with regards to getting something updated so that I could add some bass to my music. Kent worked with my budget and even had his team bring out 4 subwoofers to my vehicle and had me sample each one. The installer even gave me his honest opinion regarding enclosed and ported boxes which I really appreciated. The install was clean and professional in every part of the job and done with extreme care. The job took nearly the whole day but I came well prepared and watched videos on my phone in their showroom.Mahalo to Kent and his team at Security and Sound Systems for all their hard work!!! You are truly #1 in my book for all of my car stereo needs.

Excellent customer service and fast installation. I installed an alarm system on my work truck with sensor on cab and bed. Absolutely love the blinking light feature on the steering wheel. If my alarm is set off when Im not near my vehicle. When I get inside and my light is blinking, certain amounts of blinks tells me my alarm was triggered while I was far away. Very happy with my purchase of viper alarm systems.

I just needed a deck for my car and I heard this place was known as a good place. So I had called them and spoke with Kent. Right away he was very helpful and proffessonal. When I came in, Kent walked me through all the options and was more than willing to help. The installation was fast with no problems. Overall I was more than satisfied with the finished product. Just got my sounds installed by Jackson. Both him and Kent were VERY nice and very helpful. Sooo helpful that after I got my sub installed, he even let us sample another sub to compare & we ended up buying that sub! I highly recommend them!!! Gone to these guys a number of times now and always had a positive experience! Ive picked up everything from amps and speakers, and most recently, a car alarm. They help me get everything i need to do all my own installing at home because im a diy kind of guy. I let them handle the alarm install though, and they did a quick, clean job. Very knowledgeable and helpful people that will get it right the first time, or will make it right if youre less than satisfied!

Had a problem with my alarms window controller unit that was installed somewhere else. They help put the windows wiring back to stock in an hour. Still working great. Thanks guys.

These guys were great. Had them install a Viper on my wifes (Cherry) 1981 Jaguar and they removed the existing crappy engine disabler and installed the viper. Very thorough in explaining the features and functions. Then I had them install front and rear cameras and Laser Jammers on my 2015 Jag F type. They did a fantastic job on both cars. Will definitely recommend them to friends and family. Very professional work

Very knowledgeable and helpful sales people and the installers are top notch. They work on lots of exotic cars so I feel safe letting them work on my vehicles. They carry Alpine, Kenwood, pioneer and JL Audio. They also carry Viper car alarms as well as other things like Lazer Jammers, dash cameras, parking sensors.

I heard good things from a friend, so i came in to check it out. I told them my stereo was working perfectly fine one day then all of a sudden out of the blue...... It said miswiring, so i assune a wire came loose. The guy inside, quoted me $80 just to look at. Wth???? Mibd you he just got off the phone quoting a customer a brand new one installed for $250??? Thanks!!!
