Purchased a chair within the last 6 months. It was a swivel glider and a family member sat on it and it broke. I contacted Talsma and sent them pictures of the damage and they had someone I it here to fix about a month later. The tech that came said the wrong work order was put in by Talsma (which I told them was wrong long before he came out). Talsma response was “it’s not our fault not every company is as prepared as our techs are” so wait... you mean to tell me that every tech has every tool and every part for every piece of furniture you sell on their trucks? Give me a break. Not to add insult to injury, they’re offering me $50 on top of Best Furniture who is also offering me $50 (upon sending them a receipt of the tech to come fix that I now have to source) who in the world is going to make a house call to fix furniture for $100 let alone have me figure out who to get here and fix it??? Then I have to waste more time getting a receipt back to you? Nope. Oh and we furnished a whole house. You would think much better service from them with the amount we spent but oh well! I guess they’re just the new “Art Van” of furniture...

Great furniture selection, overstuffed couches and chairs, dining sets, barstools, bed frames, pillows.. Classic, contemporary, beach house, its all there. The best part? Staff extremely freindly and helpful!

Ordered online a mattress set Worked with Justin. He was able to look up my history and recommend a similar mattress set, to what I was use to sleeping on I would recommend Talsma Furniture. Very helpful and great communication with Justin.

We purchased a beautiful Flexsteel couch from Talsma, along with a warranty through Talsma from a company called Montage Furniture Services. After a few months our couch did have a dye transfer problem and we followed the protocol with the warranty company, but had some challenges with the warranty company responding and resolving the problem. Tim Talsma did get involved with our challenge and we were ultimately successful in getting the affected pieces replaced. Thank you.

We worked with Hope Prins during his crazy pandemic. She helped our family order a sectional in April, and then two side chairs in October. She did a great job communicating throughout the process. And although our couch came almost 6 weeks late, she took the time to keep us informed. I would highly recommend working with Hope and Talsma!

Experience at the store—good. Experience post-purchase—terrible.While shopping for my furniture I decided to go with models that were pre-made so I didn’t have to wait 15 weeks for a custom order. Just bought a house and don’t have any furniture. Placed my order, and discussed delivery with my salesperson. They said that my couch could be in right before when I was hoping to get it delivered. I asked how quickly we could get delivery set up once they knew it was in. They said next day delivery is no problem. The timing for me would be perfect. Fast forward to now. Was hoping to get furniture by Saturday. Still hadn’t heard anything for delivery setup by Thursday, so I decided to call to check in. Turns out my all furniture was in except the ottoman, which is not totally consequential to the delivery. My desired timeline was stressed when I made the purchase. No one contacted me about my couch being in—I don’t even know how long it was in before I called. I asked if we could set up delivery for Saturday. I was told Saturday was full and it was too late in the day to schedule for Friday (and regardless they wouldn’t schedule anymore bc if the weather). I tentatively set up delivery for Monday—earliest possible, but not ideal. After thinking about it, I then call back to ask about potential pick up instead (renting a Uhaul). I was told that would work I would just need to give them a few hours notice to pick up. Call back next day to give notice, well in advance, that I would be picking up. Was then told by my salesperson, who was not the person I talked to the previous day, that I would have had to have called by 1pm to get it moved from the warehouse to the store, which for me is 2 minutes away instead of two towns over. I called at 1:04, not knowing the policy, and I was not given any sort of alternative or explanation for why I wasn’t given this detail before. The lack of communication from the store is incredibly infuriating, especially due to the fact that the couch was already in and then I now have to drive two towns over instead of in my neighborhood. Now I’m preparing to pick up furniture Saturday morning. We’ll see how that goes.

Have limited hours because of pandemic. If you Work for a living buy the time you can get there are close.

This is by far my favorite place to shop for furniture. When you walk in the door, a sales person greets you, asks if they can help point anything out, answers your questions, and lets you know theyll be around if you have any questions. Then they leave you to browse and shop in peace! No uncomfortable hovering over you. No overselling every little feature of every price that you look at. No trying to fill every possible moment with speaking about their great products. They give you space to shop, room and privacy to discuss pros and cons with your spouse, but remain available the moment you need them, and are very knowledgeable and helpful once you are ready to make decisions.Seriously, if you are an introvert like me and usually hate shopping in commission based stores, give Talsmas a shot.You wont find super cheap Big Box store prices here, but you get quality for the price. If you want furniture you can customize, enjoy and pass on to your children, this is the place to shop.

Good displays, variety of furniture. Prices are too high. We explored the entire store, prices on the floor, were there well over an hour and were approached once by staff asking if we needed assistance. I was looking for a sofa, end tables and a set of night stands, enjoyed looking through the store, but walked out buying nothing.

Excellent, patient, detail-oriented service!We visited twice this year to put together a complicated order. Katie Overweg assisted us both times. She even price matched a few items we found online. She was polite and did not rush us. She helped us think through what we were trying to achieve and was great making changes when needed. Very detail oriented. This is not the first time we used Talsma, but we will continue with them--even though we live outside their delivery area, it was worth the extra charge for such good service.

We recently visited this showroom (were new transplants to Michigan and saw their billboards) and were 100% pleased with the friendly service. We knew what we wanted and Greg was completely responsive to our needs. We bought them at a 2-for-1 sale and the transaction was exactly as promised, no hidden charges. Delivery of our two recliners was on-time and efficient.Ill add that while we are delighted with the recliners, were very unhappy with ourselves that we bought them. We miss being together on the love seat and, had we realized this, wed have purchased a double recliner instead. But Ive no doubt that when we shop again, it will be with Talsma.

Hope was so easy to work with. She was very patient and really sought to understand my style. She pulled out some fabrics I wouldn’t normally have chosen, and I loved them so much I ordered pillows in the fabrics.
