Very good store a lot of different products. Prices are not quite as cheap as Costco but it’s also not as crowded so it’s still a win win. Store is very well organized and team is extremely kind and helpful.

People are always kind here. I get some good deals and I get bulk of things I need for my big family.

Cost U Less is a warehouse type store. They have a wide variety of bulk grocery products as well as fresh vegetables, fruits and meats. Large bags of coffee you can grind yourself or purchase in whole bean or ground. Large boxes and multi packs of snacks, canned goods, cereal, chips, and crackers, to name a few.

Good place, especially if you need to buy bulk for a larger family. Lots of great & varied items. Have some pet food & treats as well. Adds up fast, so shop wisely my friends.

Cost-U-Less is great its like a concentrated version of Costco / Cash-N-Carry but more local. Awesome selection! Super friendly staff! They had the biggest container of cheese balls Ive ever seen!

Really good selection of caned goods and misc for a beach day. Flashlights to minibikes. Get it and go! Aloha love to All! Its alive here. If you see a stranger down on luck. Maybe share. I gave half a cheeseburger from Kens. Buddy gave some cash. I hook him a few sodas. He was so grateful. Remember to be grateful. We are all blessed 🙌. Peace!

Great option for those of us who likes to support local businesses.

An informed person should be able to purchase good products at very competitive prices. You should do some math and make the affordable choices. It helps me and no EBT card for me. It is fine. It helps me be real.

Store roof currently under repairs, no sign to let customers know about the darkness in-store making shopping a little hard to navigate; did not have the oatmeal raisin cookies or cheese balls I wanted to purchase as a gift for kids snacks. Had what I needed unexpectedly, new pet collar!

Cost-U-Less... I could say in one word what I could spend a lifetime regaling... Timeless. Cost-U-Less takes you in a beautiful open-air design. The lounge could use more refreshments, I found the 24 pack of Bang!© to grow stale on the palette by the 15th or 16th glass. Otherwise, it is a fine establishment. 10 out of 10 would Bang!© again

Although they may be limited as to how much stock is left by closing time, their prices are very fair and the staff is always obliging. I just witnessed a cashier pay out of pocket to help a couple complete their list. They also have a discount rack for non-perishable items with minor paging issues. One of my main-stay stores.

Its awesome you can go shopping and buy bulks of food for cheap. Great service. Alot of selections. I shop there every month.

They dont have all grocery products but usually close to warehouse price. Costco is one of their suppliers.

I love Cost-U-Less! It feels like a more accessible and enjoyable version of Costco, and I LOVE being able to buy the frozen mango chunks for an affordable price! I would love it if there were more frozen and fresh fruit options. I love their customer service, and actually look forward to the interactions Ill have as I approach check-out. It feels like an ohana and I shop here regularly because of it!

Called to ask about if they carry cakes and the guy said no and immediately hung up on me.

Good selection and a reasonable alternative to driving across the island for a costco run.

Went about 4:30 pm and it was not busy at all. Got my shopping done in 30 minutes checking out no line.

Mini Costco and only cost a bit more than the original.

Purchased $190.01 worth of merchandise on Friday April 2nd and paid via bank card. On Saturday evening I received a text from my bank that my card was charged $380.02.I called the store Saturday night re:overcharge. I got NO apology and I had to go back to hilo to get my money.Because of their error, I had overdrafts and had to find someone to loan me $190 to cover my bank account.I got my $190.01 on Tuesday and was told that I need to get a printout of my account through the bank. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I would have to go to the main branch and wait in line. I am physically handicapped with walking and standing limitations.Cost u less offered NO competition for my mileage, time and overdrafts.I left very very angry.My point is they could have offered a $10 coupon ANYTHING. No even a sorry!Make sure you not only check your receipts but the card printout....or they’ll screw you tooHave to mention that the staff was great, it was the management that was totally incompetent

This is the small kine equivalent of Costco for the Hilo side, but with no membership fees.

Warehouse shopping, not everything you want but most of the things that you need. Nice butcher shop, small selection of liquor but good prices; some of the same Costco items but a dollar or two more. Its worth a visit.

Cost-u-less is my go-to Costco substitute while in Hilo. They specialize in a number of specific products including coffee, dry goods and limited produce. The selection of potatoes is one of the best on the island from the ubiquitous russets to both red and white potatoes. As well, yams and sweet potatoes. I have never encountered a line-up to check out at this store. Very friendly check-out staff and they are quick to get you on your way. Visa credit friendly.

Cost u less is my favorite store because every package of food comes in bigger quantities than Target or Walmart.

It may have great things to find but it has been getting more expensive.

Wide aisles, decent prices especially for hilo, wide selection, not 100s of choices, just what you need in bulk. Meats are good, i know a few of their butchers from long ago, they had not great but not bad yhings to say which in my book is really good for a butcher shop setting. Cashiers are fast and friendly.

Always love going to Cost-U-Less. Its like a mini Costco, minus the crowds. Good deals on some things. Freshest hamburger Ive ever bought was from here!

They have many food buys here in larger quantities with some Costco brand items. I love the good cheese selections. They have many organic choices too. Fresh ahi regularly too.

Shopped on 7/22/2020.Found what I needed and store looked well-stocked with inventory. Also, filet mignon looked really good and priced reasonably too!

Good option if you do not want to drive to Costco in Kona. No member fee. Only thing is that they will have items there sometimes, then do not carry it at other times. But a good choice.

Great place.. watch the prices on things like paper plates, etc.,. But overall SUCH a great place with helpful staff... Be sure to get a box for your cart before shopping as there are no grocery bags given... Hilos own version of Costco!!

CostULess is a great place to pick up large and regular sized products and quantities of all kinds, people call it a mini Costco and it is. I want to give it 5⃣ 🌟 but the prices are still pretty high,, unless you shop carefully. The employees here are really great, so friendly and helpful. I love to come here for seasonings and party snacks.

I love this store.. When I was badly injured and couldnt walk..I drove right up onto the front entrance..waving money out the window. The great associates..went and loaded big bags of dogfood into my car..as I couldnt walk..I was given my change..then I went to emergency. Any other store would have me arrested. These people give it their all..I love Cost U Less...

Similar to Costco, but way less offerings. Even still, its a decent selection and comparable prices. Parking can be a nightmare when its really busy, but that is generally around holiday times.

Everything is two to three dollars higher than Costco but you dont have to drive to other side of island.

Prices are pretty good for bulk items, but sometimes you have to compare prices to walmart or other low priced stores. But other than that, store is always in order and hardly ever runs out of items I need

If you cant make it to Costco this is a good place to fill in with some favorites, but its hit or miss as to the items they will have. Good selection of cheese, but where are the lemons, beets, cookies, blueberries and bread flour? Good meat here also.

The check out crew is the best!! Always happy, upbeat and good fun. We always find something to laugh about. A true pleasure to shop here!

Everything I was looking for, they had. I particularly like to get the family sized Grape Nuts and the natural chunky peanut butter. I also get the Elmonteray frozen bean burritos. Theses are the best deals around for these items. Unfortunately, the Grape Nuts boxes were either a little crushed or coming apart. The cart, after wiping the handle down, was quite dirty - the cloth was clearly darkened by the filth. They typically dont have much of anyone on the floor to get help from. You have to go to the front and ask a cashier or something. However, once you learn where your favorite items are in the store, you usually dont need to ask for assistance.
