I had to leave my belongings in storage during COVID while I traveled back to Canada for over a year. Austin was very accommodating at facilitating payments and helping us with UHaul rentals. The actual facility is always very clean and secure with a personalized gate code for each owner.

Austin the manager is very helpful. Had a short term storage need and he set us up quickly. Really appreciate his communication when we had questions. He responded via calls and email when we reached out. Weve used this place a couple of times over the last 6 or so years and am always impressed with the 5 star service. Highly recommend their storage facility and use of U-haul trucks primarily because of our interactions with the staff there.

I kept a storage unit at Hillsboro Self Storage for over a year. I have two different friends (possibly more that I’m not aware of) that still maintain storage units here. The units are well maintained and the security far trumps other places I’ve been previously (public storage comes to mind). In fact, the security system is active. I once had to get into my friends unit to get my lock when I was storing some stuff while swapping units to a smaller one. I put in my code to get into the gate, but went to his unit to get my lock which was right inside his unit. By the time I had gotten my lock and locked his unit back up the on-site manager was walking up asking what I unit I was getting into. I explained the situation and everything was good, but it really showed me how seriously they take their security here. I cancelled my unit because I moved into a place with more room but if I need storage in the future I’ll be back.

I have a storage unit here. Staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous.I recently rented a car hauler trailer. One of the tires was a bit worn but serviceable. A friend indeed when you have a needJust a few weeks ago, I was stranded in Roswell, New Mexico not able to find a U-Haul 6x12 trailer available. Roswell, NM people was moving out of town in record numbers. After weeks of waiting, and calling U-Haul to learn that the nearest place with a 6x12 was some two hundred miles away from me and I had to go get it. I reached out to Austin Young manager of Hillsboro Self Storage of Hillsboro, Oregon where I have used their services in the past. Needles to say, miles away and with zero advanced notice Austin Young, Manager of Hillsboro Self Storage in Hillsboro, Oregon, located and reserved a U-Haul 6x12 trailer for me in less than 24 hours at a U-Haul less than 5 miles away! I was able to move out of New Mexico with our van pulling the trailer.Our route was to drive north through New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, and Oregon. However, once in Utah at the small town of Green River, our van broke down and we now needed a 15 ft. U-Haul van and an auto trailer to continue our journey to Oregon.After two days of waiting and getting no results on our own, again I reached out to Austin Young manager of Hillsboro West Storage, and he located and reserved a 15 feet U-Haul Van and auto transport in Green River, UT for us in less than 24 hours!Austin Young is an excellent human being, always happy to help, reason why we reached out to him on a hunch he could help us. I chose this storage facility, out of allllll the many self storages out there because it was convenient to me at the time. I have not once regretted the decision. Manager is super kind. I can be somewhat forgetful with my life in chaos as it has been. He sends me reminders so I dont have a late fee. Which is fantastic.And I actually forgot to slide the locking mechanism closed before putting my lock on and leaving. He caught it on the weekly walk thru and let me know in a very timely manner.When I need to rent a vehicle larger than my lil car, it was available right there. No going to one place to pick up and then drop it off.And I can always find a cart to take my stuff to my space. Ive rented from larger facilities before and those are never available unless you get there super early.So yah, highly recommend!!!Oh, I almost forgot...they let the police dogs train there. So if you are planning on forgetting your cookies in a box or doing any other illegal activities in your unit, this might not be the best place for you.

I love this place. Secured. Heated in winter and light ac in summer. They have a couple of units with 15ft ceilings. I needed that with my 15ft rack shelving. Only thing I dont like is the restricted hours of access. Good online payment system. Rarely changed rates. Had been good management up to now.

Very clean, helpful and friendly staff. I had my belongings in storage for just under 3 years here and never once had any issues. My items were in great condition still when I moved everything out recently. Definitely recommend if you are in need of storage space.

Quick and easy.

The facility is very clean and the temperature is just right. Ive used other places and my things always had a smell after being stored for a few months. The parking lot is very conducive to many cars being in the facility but not a bottleneck.

I rented the space when there was a senior couple managing the business. They were really great it was a pleasure to do business with them. They do so many customer friendly things like having an area where people could leave items that they could not fit in their storage space or did not want. I was able to leave some items and took other items. The also would freely grant extra time after hours which allowed me the time to rearrange items in the storage area.The person who replaced the couple did not do a very good job in fact he was terrible at his job and he had a terrible attitude. I stopped going into the office when he was there and I sent my wife to pay the storage rent.The people they have now is a vast improvement over the last person. The staff is friendly and the manager will do things to try to please the customer. The manager is a younger person and perhaps in time he will learn how to do extra little things for the customers.Will

Our experience with Hillsboro West Storage has been nothing but wonderful! Weve been renting a unit at this location since 2013 when we put all our worldly possessions in storage for a move abroad. When we return a couple times per year, we always find our things are safe and secure. The building is always clean and dry, warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The staff at Hillsboro West Self Storage are very friendly and always quick to help with anything. The units are very clean. Our unit is the upper floor but there is always a cart available and the elevator is good sized so it makes moving our stuff in and out very easy. Price is reasonable and location convenient. Would not have any reason to go any place else for our storage needs.

Staff is friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The grounds and storage buildings are clean and free of dust, and well lit. There are a lot of push carts to help you get your stuff into and out of your unit. The parking lot has a lot of space, perfect for pulling in with a trailer or large flat bed truck.

I’ve used Hillsboro West Self Storage off and on over the last couple years during my numerous moves. The units are always well kept, perfect sizing, and cheaper than any other facility I’ve had to use. And the staff have always been helpful and kind on top of it all. As long as I live nearby I will continue to use them in the future.

Thought it was a nice place at first, the staff are very friendly, however the manager Austin is 2-faced. Shortly after moving in I went there to reorganize my storage so that it was accessible to me as I had pretty much just thrown everything in there when I moved in & everything was buried. I was only there 3 hours when Austin came up to me & said Youve been here for about 3 hours now, you cant be living in your storage unit. I was shocked. Throughout the 7 months that I was there he constantly made threats to evict me anytime that he didnt get his way. He is a stickler & I wouldnt recommend anyone get a storage unit there. The staff I will say are very polite & friendly & I have nothing against them, Austin on the other hand should be replaced.

Wonderful, very secure place. You have to have your gate code coming in and going out, which makes me feel my things are more safe. Decent prices for the space you pay for. The freight elevators and carts at every door made moving so easy. The only downside is, Im a scardey cat, and going inside and upstairs alone with the motion lights freaks me out! Other than me being too scared of normal stuff, this is the best Storage Facility Ive ever been to!
