My partner and I visited Mattress Firm on October 29. Ken was so kind to us. He greeted us at the door, and was extremely attentive to our needs during our visit. We gave him an idea of what we were looking for, and he gave us several options to choose from. We were also honest and upfront about our budget and what we were willing to spend. Then, Ken worked his magic! We came in search of a new bed for our forever home, and left with a new friend. I highly recommend going to this location for all of your sleeping needs -- Ken is THE BEST!

Ken was the best! He sold me and my fiancé an amazing mattress that I never thought we would be able to afford at a great price. He was super open and accommodating when we gave him our budget and didn’t try to upsell us something we didn’t need, while also making sure that we were going to get the mattress that would give us the best night’s sleep. There were some issues with delivery/removal of our old mattress, but tbh that wasn’t anybody’s fault here and didn’t make me regret a thing. I almost made the mistake of settling for a ‘meh’ mattress somewhere else locally, but now I’ve got to tell everybody to stop in here first before wasting their time anywhere else.

My wife and I chose a tempurpedic mattress. I have had two major back surgeries since 2009. I was about to have a third. Until we bought this mattress. Within a week I was pain free. Our old mattress was worn out and so was my back. This mattress is a miracle. Today I am pain free!!! Great customer service at the Hickory NC Mattress Firm. They were so helpful and knowledgeable to talk to. They were not pushy and made the selection process so easy.

The gentlemen that helped me today was VERY helpful, took the time to research what I was looking for and got it ordered for me. Usually the staff is kind and welcoming. Today not so much. Went in to find a pillow to go with a $4,000 + mattress I had purchased a few years back and i was trying a few out and got kicked out by the owner and he said his shop was for “business only” (as if I was his only customer in a 4-5 hour time span) told me I couldn’t lay down on mattress’ and told me he thought I was lying when I said I was shopping for a pillow. The whole time he sat down on his phone ordering breakfast and gave 0 insight on his products.Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Also had his truck driver parking in a no loading zone getting deliveries which blocks the entire front parking area for other business’. Lost a paying customer today. Hope he enjoyed his breakfast!

He knew his products, directed to to what I was interested in, allowed me to move around the showroom on my own without hovering, and when I was ready to buy, handled my purchase with professionalism and courtesy. The only thing that could have made my experience better would have been having inventory closer to the store. I drove 62 miles to pick up the mattress because I needed it the same day.

I am so impressed with the experience I had tonight (12/30/19). Mr. Kendrel (Ken) Wilson was a phenomenal sales person. I walked in unsure of if I wanted to make a purchase (or if I could afford a purchase). He made me feel comfortable testing out some of the mattresses (I had been to three other mattress stores that day, this was the first time I actually laid down to test one out). No pressure to buy, and when I expressed interest he walked me through financing and payment options. Even when he had his sale, he continued to be helpful to me. I cannot say enough kind things about him.

Ken Wilson knows his product. I walked into the store unsure of what I needed. I just knew I needed a new mattress. In the past, I have always purchased a mattress based on cost, not comfort. I’m older and have severe osteoarthritis. I don’t sleep well because of my pain. Ken listened (REALLY listened) to me. He told me the pros and cons of each mattress that he recommended for my needs. He did not pressure me to buy the most expensive mattress. I did lay on the mattress but 5 minutes doesn’t give you a true sleep experience. I asked what mattress he owned and how he liked it. He explained the 120 night sleep trial so I had no hesitation about my purchase knowing I would not be “stuck” with a mattress that wasn’t comfortable for me. Ken told me that if I got hot at night that there were mattresses that addressed that problem. I had no idea. I never considered an adjustable frame but after talking with Ken, I decided to go with one. I am so glad I did. No regrets. I have experienced an issue with my adjustable frame. I’ll post a review on service once the issue is resolved. I would rate Ken 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for excellent customer service. I did experience a small glitch in the delivery but once again, received excellent customer support. The 2 gentleman that delivered my mattress and frame and set it up were extremely professional and courteous. I highly recommend Mattress Firm. I received my mattress June 8 and I’m very happy with it. I don’t normally write reviews - good or bad - but after this completely positive experience, I wanted to let others know that Ken is the person to see if you’re looking for a new mattress.
