I ordered white 3 gallons of white semigloss paint a few days ago. When I went to pay for it I noticed the can was labeled gloss paint. When I told the salesman I asked for semigloss he told me that it would be semigloss despite the label. Although I was skeptical I trusted him to be honest with me. Because my painter was painting over an old previously painted surface with many paint layers gloss paint would show the unevenness of the surface whereas semigloss would help disguise it. I was not present when the painter opened the can and painted. I asked him whether the paint was indeed gloss or semigloss and he said definitely gloss. As expected the unevenness of the surface shows. Very disappointed in the lack of honesty.

The only reason for my one star is because every time I go in there and the female older woman is so not customer service friendly shes ignorant shes never welcoming and this is my third time with her so I decided to leave a one star and write about her solely. I hope management reads these product is great send her to customer service class she needs to get some.

I tried to get a specific color of paint at 3 different stores in Hanover and was finally told to try Sherwin Williams. They got it for me so quickly and were very friendly and helpful the entire time. Definitely earned my business for any future paint projects around the house!

We bought paint to paint our kitchen here. We normally went to Lowes for all our paint and bought the cheapest paint we could get. Thats fine for walls, but when doing our kitchen cabinets, we wanted the best. We bought the Extreme Bond primer and Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel paint for our cabinets. Time will tell how they hold up, but the paint was much nicer going on than were used to with the cheap paint and even to the touch feels harder than the cheap paints. So far were very happy with it and will keep this in mind for future projects. You do get what you pay for. Both the primer and paint were not cheap; however, they often run sales. As much as I like the quality of their products, they run sales too often to pay full price.The bonus we found was that they have an interior designer that will consult for free, by appointment. We werent certain of what exact colors we wanted and how wall, cabinet, and back splash colors would match our counter tops. The designer came to our home (I believe shell also meet in the store if you prefer) and was wonderful helping us pick out our final colors and even with suggesting paint/primer types and how to go about a few other things.The only downside I found was that the original associate we dealt with in the store was a big gruff with us. He told us immediately that he doesnt pick colors (and followed up about the designer), but he just wasnt overly friendly. I asked him a few questions about some product durabilities and he kind of said, some like it, some dont, it is what it is...theres a reason cabinet makers get big bucks for that. I appreciate honesty and not wanting to promise too much, but I was asking for an opinion of quality and not really getting one. Thankfully, the designer weighed in an eased my concerns on the matter.Again, well see how the paint holds up, but so far were very happy with how it went on and are very optimistic that this quality paint is just what this job needed.

I like Sherwin-Williams products. We just purchased a house and intend on paining just about every room, as well as, doing some work in the kitchen of the house were selling. My husband dropped my daughter and I off at Sherwin-Williams on Eichelberger Street at 6:30 last night to pick up paint for the trim in her bedroom, paint for kitchen cabinets and to get an idea on what we want to do in the other rooms. The employee working last night was incredibly rude and disrespectful and he made it very clear that we were imposing on him. The employee told us that he had an appointment at 7:30 in York. The store is open until 7:00 and the employee was getting paid for his time. We ended up leaving the store at 6:45 without any paint because it was too much of an inconvenience for him to mix any colors for us. Im very upset by this employees attitude and I will never go into this Sherwin-Williams again. Sherwin-Williams paint is more expensive than going to Lowes or Home Depot and I feel that is isnt unreasonable to expect decent customer service when shopping there. I’ll drive 30 minutes to go to a different store where the employees are considerate to their customers.
