There must have had at least 10 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing arms folded chit chatting with each other . While watching as I loaded 40 or so 25 lb block on to my cart and push it through the store with much effort . John who has been with home depot 27 years was the only one who physically helped or even acknowledged I needed help from the time he first seen me (the guy in lumber did direct me to the block) 2 of the garden area employees walked by me 3 or 4 times and still not a word and John found me and came to my rescue (it was 90 degrees out ) he and a man that was waiting in his care loaded the block in my car . I didn’t realize how heavy or how many I needed till my boyfriend sent me there sent the text I apologize for the amount and that all the other places closer to home where all out but want to at least say thanks John and stranger in Hanover . You two definitely made my attitude change as I left:) thanks a bunch

I recently rented a loader tractor for a project at my home and I was impressed with the quality of the new equipment in sock at this store.

I needed wood. They had it. I got it. But I think I got a splinter, so -1 star. Also -1 because there were no Halloween decos on the 26th, but they had plenty of Christmas stuff.

I enjoy the friendly help and shop here often. The pro desk employees are great to deal with and go the extra mile to give great service and great pricing.

Walked in and asked an employee leaning on counter looking at his phone where an item was, without him even looking at me he says row 9. I go looking up and down with no employee in site,then next two rows, still not finding item,then finally find another employee who I ask which takes me three rows down from where I was sent. Then I look for another item , find someone to help which walks me to a area of item, but they had nothing in a simple plug for cord ,no inventory to choose from. The store sucks.

Took 3 and 1/2 hours in store just to book a carpet installation. It was like nobody knew what they were doing, a very chaotic and exhausting experience. During installation, they took our bedroom and closet door off and never put them back on, said the doors needed cut down and they didn’t have the tools. I called HD and they said they could come back out in a week to put doors back on for an extra $200!

Nice store, can sometimes get a better deal than Lowes, other times I go because Lowes doesnt have what I need. Was over charged for something and had to go back in to get that corrected, bit that can and does happen at any store

Home depot usually will give you a military discount if you ask for it.

Atrocious service, lack of service, 0/10 stars recommend getting an appliance here.I ordered the dishwasher weeks ago, it was delivered one week ago, the follow-up installers havent responded to two calls and have not come to install it.Over a week of an uninstalled appliance and zero return phone calls from the installer. The guys who dropped it off were nice and efficient, and the customer service from the appliance phone line has been nice. But no results whatsoever and Ive already made two calls over a weeks time to ask for someone to come finish the install. I already paid for the install and the additional installation parts, as you can see in the picture, but its just a hunk of metal taking up space in the house.

I am a Vietnam veteran and at Lowes I receive a 10% discount on everything I purchase by showing my Lowes card. Its scanned and 10% is automatically deducted, no questions asked.Home Depot doesnt offer me the discount so most all my shopping is done at Lowes.

Inventory Control is excellent. Already had researched the products in advance of purchase and the Aisle Location, Bin Number and Quantity on hand were SPOT PERFECT. Doesnt get any better than this. All store personnel that I interacted with were friendly and polite. Truly a FIVE STAR experience!!!

To the sales associate in appliances today 1-9-21 “ the man wearing glasses” that I stood within 2 feet staring at while you were on the computer and you never looked up. You may wish to change your career path, your bad for business. I will not come back to this store I will go to Lowe’s from here on. It only takes a second to acknowledge someone.

Ok...this is the story. I got an email this afternoon from Home Depot about Special prices in several departments. I found flooring that looked just right but its hard to tell actual colors on the computer. The deal is for internet sales only and you have to order it by the pallet, so naturally I wanted to see a sample of the flooring at my Home Depot store. Guess what? They dont have samples in the stores for the internet special items. So Im going to order pallets of flooring for thousands of dollars, plus delivery charges and have no way of returning it if I dont like the color? NOT!!!Home Depot, you need to get your act together if you want to keep me as a customer.

They ran out of seed trays in the beginning of spring and online says they had it. I walk up to a group of workers at least 5 and 4 of them completely ignored me while the other was on the phone. I literally had to raise my voice at them for not helping me. Maybe they’re prejudice

I used to really struggle here because of the terrible electric carts. Now they have very nice ones that hold their charge. Everyone is really nice and helpful. I love the plant selection, especially succulents. Great store.

As a contractor, Home Depot is my go-to place for my remodeling needs. My experience is usually good at the Hanover, PA location; however, working with Abe Lippy and the other associates at the Pro Desk has been the best experience Ive had yet with the Home Depot. Abe took my items list, which consisted of over 200 items, and turned it into a bid room list; which saved us approximately $2,000 on our bill. Delivery has gone smooth because Abe reaches out prior to each delivery. When communication is key make sure you use Hanover Home Depot and ask for Abe!

For being so late into planting season,I didnt think my choices were gonna be really good. But I got EVERYTHING I was looking for except marjoram and teragon. And that was just fine! My herb garden is splendid due to this one stop shop!! Rock on Home Depot!😆

I guess you can chalk it up to covid, but we had multiple no call no show deliveries as well as partial deliveries. This was back at the end of June. Dont schedule a lumber delivery if you dont have the stuff in stock. I took my vacation around my deck build and didnt have any wood to work with. Had to go pickup concrete to pour footers and luckily it only delayed me a week, but wasted my vacation and had to work late into the evenings to finish by my deadline.

I had an issue here recently, but the Assistant Manager, Lauren, not only fixed our issue, but also saved us some money for the inconvenience! That deserves 5 stars!

Always A Good Experience At The Hanover Home Depot!

We found exactly what we needed for a repair project.

I had recently purchased a lawn mower here at the Hanover location. (John Deere zero turn) when I went to the store I spoke with the garden department manager and we looked at the lawn mowers out front. They had one on display but it had corrosion damage and was extremely dirty like it had been outside for at least a month. I told them I did not want that one and asked if they had another. He explained that one was coming in and needed assembled and inspected first. I agreed and they sent me to customer service to complete purchase. When the lawn mower was delivered I quickly realized they had given me the one from out front. They didnt even have the common sense or decency to clean the seat. It also would not start because the battery was dead and there was stale gas in the tank so who knows what kind of carburetor damage there was. Well I immediately called someone and they agreed to ship me another one. They send me another one days later and when I start it and try to drive it only sounds in circles because the right arm doesnt operate. So they had me call Finch and get them to pick it up and fix it under warranty. Meanwhile they left the other mower in my driveway for three weeks. After all this they gave me a measly 5% discount but they said I had to go in to get the discount personally not over the phone. When I did they said I had to return the other mower first and it would credit automatically. Then when they picked up the mower and I received no credit they said I have to go back in again. Also they promised me 24 month financing and I asked them the times about it and they said it was on there. When I received a bill it was 6 month financing so now I have to go in and change that. The customer service is pathetic and uncaring to say the least when I talk to them its never anyones fault apparently.Lowes is next door to this location just go there.(Dont have picture of dirty seat because my information tag is in the pic but it was ridiculous)

Needed carpet for 2 bedrooms and basement, got several estimates from several places including carpet/flooring dealers. With Home Depots free installation, it was the best deal. Same carpet/padding offered by the others. Installed yesterday by the best group of guys..very professional, thorough, polite, hard-working. I recently had interior painted was concerned removing old carpet, not a scratch on anything. cleaned up nicely. I cannot say enough good things about them!

You can always get help if you need it.
