It was our first time coming in, saw the sign for the shop while walking around. staff is wonderful and very friendly! Lots of things to choose from. Very delicious! Was a big hit with my boys(of course they got decaf) definitely will become regulars.

My wife had to be in the Hanover area yesterday morning. She decided to stop in to check out the Cafe. We had passed it a few times and wondered what it was like. Since she had some extra time, now was good. She was greeted with are you visiting and she confirmed that was. Now to preface there was a diversity festival happening at the Square, so maybe this is what she meant. She ordered her food and coffee drink and sat down. When it was ready, she got up and went to the counter, retrieved her food and sat down. Another couple came in and ordered there food and drink, then sat down. When their food was ready, they brought it over to the table. Now my wife is Filipino and the other couple was not...kind of strange how people of color are treated differently especially with a diversity festival around the corner. This is isnt the first time we have been treated this way in Hanover establishments...they have a long way to go....better service would raise the star level with this one.

LOVED my first impression of Ikigai Coffee! My siblings and I enjoy visiting cafes, breweries, bars, books & brews, etc., and admire the unique character, aesthetic, vibe, and details of each. Our first visit to Ikigai was a DELIGHT! The spot is modern, “industrial chic,” - simple, and very attractive! There were two baristas there when we visited - including Sasha, the owner. We were greeted quickly and warmly, and my brother and I began chatting with both women as we studied and appreciated the pleasing menu. My brother ordered a latte, and me a pineapple coconut smoothie - he was happy with the latte, and the smoothie was phenomenal! (With an eco-, turtle-friendly straw too!) Both women were lovely and we so enjoyed chatting with them! As we prepared to leave, Sasha sent us home with complimentary cinnamon buns!!! She began preparing two, and then generously asked “how many (people) at home?” Not wanting to be greedy, we just said two, and they were scrumptious! And beautiful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT!!! Local small business with a stunning shop, yummy treats, and super courteous staff - what more could you want? (Plus Sasha’s charming South African accent to boot!)

Truly, what more can you ask for in a coffee shop. The atmosphere is relaxing. Everything is clean with a modern design. The coffee is FANTASTIC, as are the baked goods. Honestly the fresh baked cinnamon bun was out of this world. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Family owned by down to earth people who are also a pleasure to talk to. A welcome addition to Hanover, and I am truly happy we have a place like this. Really looking forward to them adding more bagels in the future! Shout out to Victor for being a swell dude.

This is the BEST coffee shop around!! Family owned, friendly staff and excellent service. They are able provide fresh weekly catering orders and great holiday specials to surprise your spouse and children. There are no other businesses in the area that offer the same level of service as they do!

Moved to Hanover recently..just found and visited Ikigai Coffee...now its truly home! Quality and pricing is impeccable...love permeates from each sip and the cinnamon rolls are also yummy!

Enjoyed a true wet cappuccino at Ikigai, what a delight. I am very sensitive when it comes to coffee and am grateful that there were no ill affects from having this tasty treat. There seems to be a wide variety of drinks and homemade snacks available, even some gluten free. The coffee beans are from Lancaster but I didn’t ask for additional details. I chose a toasted bagel with cream cheese but there are additional varieties of each available. It seemed like my bagel was toasted in a panini from the squish, so if you don’t want a squished bagel perhaps mention that!This modern coffee shop is below ground though accessible via stairs from the sidewalk, under a hotel and tucked beside an underground parking lot. It is clean inside with ample space for a handful of folks to meet and chat with others. You will not find huge tables here. You will find a peaceful atmosphere, even the music was low key and just the right volume, not too loud, not too soft. There are plenty of accessible electric outlets which is key for a great cafe. You will find the internet password at the bottom of your receipt, so don’t forget to ask for one!It was a bit chilly and damp for my old bones today, but I liked having a hot coffee and warm bagel in this environment. I do see a unit on the wall so I am sure that under certain circumstances they are providing heat or ac - I did not ask for any adjustment as my visit was cut short due to personal engagement.I will definitely return.

Went here for the first time today and I was not disappointed! This place lives up to all of its good reviews. I had an iced toffee coffee and it was DELICIOUS! Also the art and vibe was beautiful. I will definitely be making this a regular stop 😊

Today was my first visit to Ikigai Coffee. Everything was excellent from the decor to the taste of my coffee. Customer service was great. They heated up my cream for me.Be aware the coffee shop is located at the McAllister Hotel, but it has a separate entrance thats down a flight of steps from the outside sidewalk.I would have given 5 stars, but they dont offer any sugar free syrups.

Ikigai coffee has the best coffee in Hanover. The drinks are great and priced right. The baked goods are delicious and hand made. My son loves the chocolate muffins. This place is in the downstairs of the old McAllister hotel. The atmosphere is very cool and friendly. The owners are very kind and remember you when you are a repeat customer. We try to go as often as we can.

Really discovered a new brand of excellent coffee here. Am going to be back for more

We started our morning with an iced caramel Latte and a black coffee and of course some bacon quiche and were amazed at how delicious everything was! The customer service was outstanding and this gem of a coffee shop even took time to congratulate us on our little baby boy and made sure he left with a smile as well! Check this spot out it’s going to be the highlight of your morning!

They had a really good Americano I usually take my americanos black and sometimes people make them too watery or way too intensely strong this was right in the middle which was great. The space itself is really cool there was a lot of thought that goes into the decor it could be a fun place for an intimate coffee with an old friend or even a good first date place. usually places like this have pastries that look fantastic but arent that great this place has really good pastries you can see all the equipment they use to make it from the checkout counter and I had one and it was very fresh and good. They are also covid compliant. Overall very classy coffee shop in Hanover a nice mellow space with good coffee and great service

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious coffee! My 4 year old dropped his drink within seconds of getting it, the staff immediately helped clean it up and remade his drink while balancing the rest of their customers orders. ☺️

My co-workers and I went over to ikagi for coffee during our company’s time of not being allowed to be open. May I just say kudos to the owners the decoration and the space in general was adorable and very hipster and fun !!! The coffee was amazing and they were so sweet and kind they made us feel at home !!! I will defentily be back !!!!!
