Went today to have truck keys cut and programmed , but was refused service because I did not buy their $230 key. The keys are exactly the same as the ones I could’ve bought from them except they were $20 for the pair . Because they wouldn’t program them I asked if I could have the physical keys cut and I would program them myself, they still refused service once again because I didn’t buy their key. Oh well I spend the $100 on the programmer and take my business elsewhere to have the keys cut .

My wife and I went there Saturday . I was looking for some very small bolts. My wife had a key she got from HOME depot that was not cleaned right had a lot of sharp edges. the young man was able the clean the key even when we did not buy the key there . that is great service. nice store very friendly people. you will also find stuff there you will not get in the big box store.

I normally love Ace Hardware for all my gardening needs or getting odds and ends done. My experience with getting a transponder key for my vehicle cut and programmed did not work out so well. First of all it took a week for them to get my key in. Once it showed up, after they figured out where my key was, they had it cut. We went out to the car, and the key would not fit in the ignition. We went back in, they cut it some more, and went back out to the car. The key only kinda fit. We went back in for a third time, and they cut the key again. This time, the key fit fine in the ignition and they programmed it with no issues. Unfortunately, the key would not fit in the door. The tech tried WD-40 to get the key to fit in the door to no avail. To say the least, I ended up leaving empty handed with no key because it would not work in the door. The tech even suggested that it was probably the door lock that was faulty. Uh I dont think so, since the original key works just fine in the door. This whole process took about an hour so I was pretty frustrated because this process should have taken no longer than 10 minutes. The guys helping me were very friendly though and were apologetic.I ended up buying a transponder key on Amazon and took it to a local locksmith that cut and programmed the car key in under 5 minutes and it worked flawlessly to open the door as well. The price was cheaper than what was offered at Ace to boot.I am pretty sure the key they tried to cut me at Ace was not done properly, hence why it wouldnt turn the lock on the door.Moral of the story is get your automotive keys cut and programmed from a locksmith and not Ace Hardware.

Best customer service! My husband sent an online order to the wrong store. They helped me cancel the order and get what I needed.

They couldnt program our truck key so afterwards asked if they could cut it for me and then I would just program it later and then they still refused because we wouldnt purchase thier key that was exactly the same. Dont go here if you want to bring in keys of your own. They wont be able to help.

Lot of staff walking around seemingly concerned with customers hitting on them or something. Totally bizarre atmosphere. Be prepared to ask for help unless you are a hunk or hot babe. Ill shop at the Ace on Nickerson even though its out of my way.

Ill never shop anywhere else for hardware supplies. This store is very customer focused and really helpful and courteous. Ordered store delivery and they hand delivered and called when they were on the way. The other big box hardware stores cater to contractors that buy cheap bulk stuff to fill houses with low quality products. This ace hardware cares about quality products and goes above and beyond to serve their customers and it is definitely noticed! Thank you!!!

Even though you might pay a little bit more at Ace hardware than you would pay at the chain stores the customer service here and helping of a awareness of tools to garden Care is priceless. Keep up the great work I appreciate it.

We received absolutely fantastic service this evening (9/22) from Zac. After schlepping to other hardware stores across the city only to be told their saw is “broken” or even outright ignored by employees, we stopped by here as a last effort. We picked out the wood we needed and an employee named Zac immediately asked if we needed help and was able to cut it to size for us. We never had to wander the store to find help and everyone was very friendly!

This Ace is the best as far as customer service. Youll never leave feeling like you werent provided any service. Even if they arent sure of something, theyll find the answer for you.I recently purchased an outdoor wooden bench and had to leave it at the store because my husbands car wasnt big enough for it. I came back with mine, and the cashier who helped me literally lifted this bench over her head to get it on the roof of my car. I so wish I remembered her name but management should know they have an incredible staff.

This store is becoming my go to store for all of my hardware needs. The store is always clean, aisles are spacious and the merchandise are well displayed and invites the ability to touch and feel. Unlike, the other big box hardware stores ( H*D* and L*), there is always someone friendly willing to help you when assistance is needed.

Great place. Ive probably gone here over a hundred times. Every single time somebody always ask if I need help within seconds of walking in the door. Very knowledgeable staff are willing to order something in if they dont have it. My only reservation is that they have a limited selection and are often more expensive

Ace hardware is great. They always have helpful people. Although I would say that I liked the old one I came from in Pulaski better because their people would come right up to me and ask me if I needed any assistance. But theyre still very helpful.

I really needed a key to be made and they had given me the wrong blank originally, so I had to come back. I explained to them what happened and they took care of everything efficiently. Apparently the key was very odd. The didnt charge me for anything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will be going when I need something.

I recently purchased a Traeger grill from this Ace Hardware. I drove all the way from the Williamsburg area because it was the only store that had the model I was looking for in stock. Once I got home I realized that the grill was missing a part and called the store to see if they could ship it to me. Jim, one of the store managers went above and beyond to make sure I got the part, he personally drove the part up to Williamsburg and met me. I was in shock of the level of customer service that he provided and highly recommend supporting your locally owned Ace Hardware!

My experience at Ace was not up to Quality. I was with my brother who is he loyal customer. That was the first time I ever been to a race. The guy who attended us was paying more attention to him then me and I was the one spending the money.

Ive gone to this store for a couple of Stihl products as well as miscellaneous hardware. Always helpful. They went above and beyond to help me figure out if my blower could convert to a vacuum by calling an expert and them getting the parts they had and reserving the one they didnt at another store not far away. I was able to vacuum leaves same day thanks to their efforts and research.

Ace hardware has nothing special to justify some of their outrageous prices. Granted, they do have items others dont, but again, I dont agree with laying their prices!
