Awful! Isles blocked by skids of product in such a way that you couldnt turn up an isle without going all the way to the end. No cashiers open except self check out. Poorly stocked shelves although plenty of employees milling around. Open half eaten bag of chips on the shelf in the chip isle. Nearly got a contact high when turning an isle (not sure if other customers or employees but horrible either way). I had spent nearly 2 hours in the store picking my items only to leave them in the cart un- purchased. I had too many items in my opinion to use the self check out. I would have had no where to put the products once scanned. I was in the store from approximately 7:30pm to 9:30pm. I realize that it may be off peak hours and is during covid but there should be at least one cashier working a register! There was plenty of employees in the store.Attached is pictures of the chips isle. Ridiculous!

I hadnt full y shopped for full groceries since the pandemic but I found it safe & shopped away. So proud of myself.

Tried to purchase two tires in automotive but cash register was broken. Went around store trying to get other departments to ring me out but they wouldnt. Im posting this so others are warned to just not shop there. There are plenty of other stores who actually want your business and will help you ring out your purchases.

Well stocked (at the time I was there 😊); the check-out lines were not too long; the associate was pleasant, efficient, informative and helpful.

I pick up medicine from here and the pharmacy is always helpful and fantastic. Then I pick up a few things and overtime the customers have gotten rude which has lead to the employees becoming frustrated and short themselves. Not the stores fault but what IS the stores fault is that they have no parking lot security. I am approached, on average, 2-3 times a single visit by people impersonating programs like the boys and girls club or faking fundraisers. Today there was someone right outside the entrance asking for money. Usually I say I dont carry cash (I dont) but now get asked if I know about Cash app as Im trying to walk away. Its not that I feel unsafe but with other options I would rather go somewhere I dont have to avoid eye contact and deflect people asking for money every single time I go. I am switching pharmacies to avoid this location as a direct result of this.

This location is frequently utilized and is often out of stock on items. Also they are possibly closing the deli and refuse to fix the rotisserie chicken machine so if youre looking for that dont bother. Still a good location for non-food items.

It would be nice if they didnt allow employees to park in the front of the store and make customers park in the back of the parking lot. Its kind of insulting being a paying customer and having to watch employees hop out of their cars parked right in front of the store as I walk past them from parking my car way in the back of the parking lot. Do better....

I came in to return a footbath that stopped working. They gave me a gift card. I was trying to purchase somethings because they no longer had what was returned. The card did not have the refund on it. Was told that they dont work in the self purchase.

Bad experience, for not being able to sell us gloves for children, because it does not appear in their system, how absurd, they only excite children, it is the second Walmart that gives us the same answer👎🏼

Went looking for water balloons for a major water fight. There was only a few balloons they didnt have a large variety of water guns or water balloons. Im looking for a super soaker and water gun with a backpack for my grandkids

The place can be a little crowded but thats to be expected being Walmart.. But I will say they usually have everything I need so Ill always come back.

This walmart has everything, its a big store and well stocked. They had exactly what they said online. When I rang up product it rang up a different price, I called over associate and it was taken care of with no problem! Great customer service

Hit or miss. Walmart is a cheap store for odds and ends. Go in with 6 things on your list and leave with 3. Great prices on items that they do have. The parking lots are filthy, the stores are in disarray and it is a great place to people watch. 😀

Drive thru window. The workers were great. They checked on certain ingredients to make sure that it didnt have an item in it that Im alergic to. Great Job. Food was delicious.

I didn’t want to give it one star, this place is ghetto, they never have anything in stock, ABC’s I hate that they replaced the cashier with self check out that don’t even take cash half the time then u have to wait in a super long line because they only have like two real cashiers! It horrible I always try to avoid the one in Hammond at all cost I rather drive 30/45 minutes away to a better Walmart!

I had an issue with the prices on some items I was purchasing so I asked to speak with a CSM. When she approached me even before talking to me she already had a nasty attitude. I got even more attitude because she had to actually walk back to the area to check the price herself. Why would she get angry for having to do her job?? Go to another Walmart. DONT spend your money here. They have so many items misplaced and wont honor there mistakes.

Lately they are out of a lot of different items...like one week it was whole milk which I needed for my baby. Also went to get lunchables one week to take to the zoo and they barely had any to chose from. Also during the week lately they dont have the checkout lanes open only do it yourself.

Door greeters say hello, but pay very little attention to what is going on around them. Though, if asked a question, they are helpful.Lady I dropped off my prescription with asked me about allergies, I told her I went into anaphylactic shock when I took the med that I was allergic to and she said What is that?One of the toy aisles had been so decimated, it looked like the store was closing down. It was a mess and had more empty space than filled.The bathroom left a lot to be desired. There was toilet paper, which was a surprise considering the messy state it was in.Overall, its not a terribly pleasant place to shop. Its close, which is convenient and that is why I continue shopping here.

I will never call or patronize this particular Wal-Mart location. They have young rude inexperienced staff. I called and was left on hold for 30mins. So I hung up and called again and the line was busy. I went to the store and they laughed and joked with each other while I am standing there waiting to get what asked for. My time is very valuable to me I dont have time to waste.

Was paying last night around 10:15pm and stores closed at 10:30pm per loud speaker announcement. Website says closes at 11pm. But the issue is wanted to buy an item which wouldnt scan lady at self-checkout says it was recalled why it didnt scan or pulled off shelves. I asked to call the manager on duty she said manager is busy and they dont have walkie talkies. Dont understand why they cant go call a manager really quick or get a price check. Lazy! And, poor customer service. Just go to Target way better customer service!

Shopped at garden center and grocery store. The garden cards enter had a small sele tin of indoor plants. The grocery store had a good selection of food.

Every time I come here for men’s T-shirts, the shelves are all messed up. Nothing in its place, open packages of T-shirts strewn all over, it’s like there is no one in this section. Do better!

I don’t like that this entire store is self checkout only. I did not come here to spend my hard earned money and work for free. I’m not a cashier and shouldn’t have to operate as one because this Walmart is not wanting to pay employees.

Dropped my moms truck for an oil change at about 3ish on Sunday Oct. 3, 2021.. Picked it up at 6:30 pm... They employees left all windows down. It poored bad earlier and when I went to pick the truck up it was drenched, water everywhere!!! All the rain got in!!!!! They resolved by giving oil change free. What the heck is this kind of irresponsible performance??? Sad.... And pathetic!

Man I had a lot of bad experiences here with other workers but GINA that works in the deli department is amazing her customer service is unmatched. I was very pleased with how she handled everything and she was the only worker there in that department.

They need to open registers. Have cashiers ready and presentable. And they need to have more help with the self-checkout for people that do not know how to do it. People in the store are rude. They are not willing to help.

This store is stocked and has a wide variety of items. The electronic department wasnt full but adequate.

I am not a huge fan of the fact that its all self checkout. Its 1 big long line. I dont go there for grocery shopping anymore. Thats too much to do at self checkout.

Always my go to place for certain items but this store like others needs better floor managers inspecting products on shelves. Ive noticed and brought to the attention of staff certain products that have either shown signs of mold or opened and put back on shelves for sale. It seems the most basic rule of retail stores being Clean and Healthy Appearance is being ignored along with the contribution of younger managers and theyre absence of social skills and pride of product for which they represent.

Depends on what time you go will determine whether you get great customer service or not. Subway is a nice bonus after you get done shopping. One of my favorite things about coming here is that they ALWAYS have my favorite coffee creamer. That is always worth the trip here 😀

Today i stopped into this location and to my suprise it was stocked and clean. I stop here every once in awhile but not recently due to poor staff service and not a wide range of stuff but its gotten a lot better now. Keep up the good work guys

Basically this Walmart has everything you need, however this store run out of goods pretty quickly I advise to shop there upon opening they carry Gentle Giant dog food which is hard to find at most Walmart. Happy shopping,

Hooo boy! Ive seen some iffy Walmarts before but this one was pretty bad. A lot of shelves were mostly empty and checkout was crazy long. The floors were dirty in some places and there was trash from the stockers all over the floors. Probably not gonna go to this Walmart again.

I dont know what Walmart these people have been too? but the Walmart I like going to is the one on cabela drive I never had any problems looking for the items that I need I always have good customer service every time I enter and exit Walmart I am always greeted with a smile I have no problems at all with the Walmart on cabela drive! Maybe sometimes the days that you people do go there are different employees not all the employees are the same youll get some bad ones and youll get some good ones! 4 stars

Selection and prices are good. Inventory is in need of an improved supply chain. Organization and customer service could use some improvements. Still my go-to store for much of my shopping needs.

A simple tire exchange for road hazard warranty turned into an adventure as I had go to Hazelcrest for exchange , was sent to Hammond because they didnt have the tire , Hammond had no technicians to install the tire so I had to go back to Hazelcrest to get the warranty satisfied and the new tire installed............ 😤

I waited with a gentleman over 25 minutes after pushing the button several hundred times for someone to unlock the baby formula case. Several people went to get someone. She never showed up. Im waiting to speak to a manager now and never showed up. A fifteen store took over an hour.

Understaffed. The staff they DO have are unhelpful and/or rude. The store is always a mess. Anything I am looking for is usually out of stock. The app never knows the actual location or price of things. Just always an unpleasant trip.

Shelves as usual mostly empty. The rest room was z mess. No hand paper towel and air dryer not working. This store has consistently gone down in quality, cleanliness and helpfullness.

I came here to buy camping stuff I needed asap. One of the items were in a glass door with lock (for security) no one around to help. I went to the register to pay for some items and ask the girl at the register for help, She said she was going to page someone and meet at the sports area. I waited for around 10 minutes and NOBODY came to help.If youre in a rush dont come to this location.

It is getting worse than ever at this Walmart. To start, the management doesnt care about anything. Second, the employees are disrespectful, argumentative and as non-caring as the management. Third, they use off duty police from many of the small cities around the area and also state police as security. These officers think they have the right to park in the handicap hash marked areas and do it regularly. Ive brought this to the attention of management, corporate and even the officers themselves. Still they continue. I use a power wheelchair and have a van with a ramp on the passenger side to enter and exit my van. These hash marked areas are for me to get in and out of my vehicle, not their parking spaces. I am offended by this. Because of the police vehicles being parked in the hash marked areas now everyone else is parking there. Police officers are supposed to be an example to others, what kind of example is this?

I got the fat burrito and for over 10 dollars only one burrito of steak, I wasnt impressed. The melted cheese on top tasted like white American cheese

Not sure why I even try to come here anymore. There are NEVER any motorized carts available. Im on crutches for months & physically cant hobble around the whole store. Ive tried to come in non-busy hours/days... Doesnt matter what time of day or day of the week, though. All the carts are always gone. There are only 3 motorized carts that work for the ENTIRE store, and its the only Walmart w/ full grocery store in a big area.

Very crowded but nice quality of products.

They only allow self check out here which I found really odd. I also only saw one clerk for the 20 some registers. Made for a long wait for A register. Also EVERY cart was in the parking lot or already in use. The person at the door did not mention it nor did they send anyone to get carts. Zero carts coming in and going out.

The experience was okay. Employees could be a little more knowledgeable about the food products that are sold there and where they are at. Beef bouillon and dry beans shouldnt be so difficult to locate.

This is the worst Walmart in Northwest Indiana. The shelves are always bare, the store is a wreck, and the associates dont do much of anything. They are, by far, the worst...I definitely would NOT recommend this location to anyone.
