Good supply of fishing gear and outdoor clothing. Helpful floor staff, but they seem to be limited in number and hard to track down at times. Their cashiers are friendly, but wait times to get checked out can vary depending on the number of cashiers available. Unfortunately, they have a very limited fly fishing section so if you are looking for fly fishing gear, you’re not going to find much selection at all.

Went to get fishing gear for an upcoming family fishing day. The workers were nice and polite. I just wish there would have been someone in the fishing section. They could have been stocking while we were there though cause several other departments were stocking at that time. I love going to academy.

Its a good quality store but it needs to expand.

I went on a Saturday and only saw two employees that werent at a register or counter. No one available for assistance and there was no sunscreen by the pool toys, I only saw it at the register. Usually better service.

We shop here frequently. Today was an ok day.My complaint is that we live in Southern Louisiana and are still under a mask mandate. Please for the love of God turn the AC DOWN. Its 86 degrees out today and I was sweating like a pig in that store.

Son got a new pair of running shoes and they were on sale too!!. He wears a 12 and its hard to find on sale.

They don’t even deserve one star!I ordered a swing set 4 months ago and they emailed me and said they were out of stock my money will be refunded and they have not refunded they say everytime that it’s in the mail or we should get it in so many days. Even cooperate says the same thing now a high call volume so I don’t recommend ordering from them.

Just purchased this woman pull that was 20 feet wide 48 inches deep and very very satisfied because it only cost us $299 when you compare that to Walmart big lots etc. academy sports seem to have much better deals especially when it came to above ground swimming pools.

Only place I could find that had curing salt in stock so I didnt have to order online. Also picked up one of the Cap 100lb barbell sets while there. My local store showed they had one but couldnt put their hands on it so I could buy it when I went.Store was clean and the staff were friendly. All in all A+

Wonderful selection of everything i’m camping to swimming pools the fishing poles to guns and ammo. They even have different types of bass boats and lawnmowers.You’ll never find an unfriendly person to help you or assist you with your inquiries more selections.

A little bit of everything here but youre mostly paying for the names.

I shop here all the time me my husband and kids but for some reason today while checking out another worker came too the cashier that was checking us out and said something to her then when we got to the front door the doorman/women went thru all of our bags and count every thing we had it was a very uncomfortable experience for us we wont be going back ever again

Love this store they have just about anything you need from camping, to mountain climbing, to swimming, fishing, everything....or items to make just relaxing out in your yard more enjoyable.

Biggest joke. You cant refund my item because your computer is down while I see people laying cash and seeing it put in the register. Academy no more for me you guys are a joke and the lady in the front entrance of has nothing ever good to say. Why is she your greeter. Big joke of a store.

Been a while since I had been in there. I like the layout. Trying on ladies shoes and they were very helpful in what was needed.

Always have what you need, equipment sports,clothes,shoes, summer or winter stuff reasonably priced.

Tried to purchase a gun here and there iPad that you feel out your info on obviously messed up and they told me I could purchase a firearm for 30 days!!

Shopping for school uniforms. Dressing rooms are closed due to Covid 19 restrictions. Disappointed that I had to return uniforms that did not fit. But I had no problems w/returning and I was able to use a $20off coupon for every $100 I spent. Store has a great inventory in mutliple sizes, colors, styles.

Not as much on sale considering its Xmas. Good choices on slides.

Very clean store need people on hand to help customers need shoes for people that have wide feet women and men need a bigger area for their snacks beef jerky and candy and chips bad design if you trying to look at all the different snacks they have you are also in the line to be checked out you are all in the way if you are will looking for a snack. Then worse if you are wheel chair-bound and trying to look for a snack but I like the idea they have with showing you what register is available remember people in a wheelchair some areas are very tight.
