We had heard great things about Spichers but we got to experience their great reputation first-hand this week! We found ourselves unexpectedly in need of a refrigerator (our LG broke after only 6 years and the repair was so expensive that purchasing a new refrigerator made more sense). Due to a flat tire on the way to Spichers we arrived 20 minutes before closing time. Our salesperson, John Steinla, could not have been more gracious. He patiently guided us through what was available given our wish list and was totally transparent with stock situations and lead times (2021 is not a great time to need a major appliance). We walked the Spichers floor more than once while John helped us weigh our options. We left that evening with three models we were considering and all of the paperwork we needed to make a fully informed decision. The next day we decided to move ahead with purchasing a floor model (so refreshing to find companies who are willing to sell their floor models) and the 5 year warranty. The make things even better Spichers was able to deliver and install the refrigerator 2 days later. The installers were friendly, professional, and competent and reassured us that if we should experience any issues Spichers would immediately send somebody out. From start to finish we could not have wished for better service. We have a new refrigerator but more than that we have a trusted source for future purchases.

Great service and great prices! Our 26+ year old dishwasher finally gave in, so we decided to upgrade it-along with our microwave and fridge. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for, and didnt stop researching options until we could find matching appliances across all 3 that fit perfectly in the spaces I have available. I had originally ordered washer and dryer through Lowe’s and my delivery date kept getting cancelled by manufacturer.. cancelled that order and went to Spichers on Thursday they were super helpful. They had inventory in stock and since they do their own deliveries was in my home Wednesday of next week.. that’s with Labor Day being that Monday!!! Delivery folks were great and very polite as well. Will get all my appliances from them from here on out!!!

Salesman Mark was super nice. Answered my questions and knew the products well. Pointed me to a better option that saved me a little money. It was delivered and installed a few days later. They were also nice and efficient. Will go to them for my washer and dryer.

Rob Smith did an excellent job with communicating when the appliances that I ordered were available, and also did a great job coordinating the delivery and installation (there are 2 steps!) with my tenants in my investment property in Inwood, WV. Since the property wasn’t local, it took a bit more coordination and it all went very smoothly. The quality of the appliances are top notch as well as Rob’s customer service. Our freezer stopped working and I called them the next morning as soon as they opened. We had a service technician out that same day. Our freezer was not repairable so we purchased a new freezer over the phone that same day. Less than a week later the new freezer was delivered. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the entire process was fast and easy.

Our experience of replacing fridge, stove and microwave went so smoothly and without problems, I couldnt believe it. Our salesman (Old John) was knowledgeable and went out of his way to help us find what we needed. We knew in advance that retailers are having a hard time getting inventory in appliances, so we expected that it might be a million years from now that we would have our stuff. As it turned out, everything we wanted was in stock and in less than two weeks, new appliances!The guys who delivered and installed the appliances were likewise knowledgeable and helpful. The previous owner of this house must have had someone with little know-how install the appliances. The Spichers guys had to do a lot of electrical work to get our things installed, but they did it and the work was well done. They were courteous and helpful and we appreciated their comments and observations.A first rate experience for us!

Salesmen were great. Greeted quickly and then referred to a colleague that had helped me on the chat line. Andy was perfect- low pressure, very informed, friendly and helpful. Really nice show room with lots of selections and online services. Way better than big box stores and NOT more expensive. Delivery was on point and those guys were great also- called on their way, took all the packaging and old unit.

I just left the store. I am in the market for an electric cooktop and came to spichers. My wife and I walked around the store for 10-15 minutes and we recieved a single hello. The store is set up in a way that pretty much requires a salesperson to help you navigate to a purchase of a cooktop. We recieved no help ,greeting or anything. There was a woman at a desk that saw us and we walked past 2 or 3 salesmen. I prefer to shop local but after this Im not sure I would take an appliance for free.

Excellent experience at the Hagerstown location. We were in a pinch and needed an affordable washer and dryer within a week (at most) and they did not disappoint! The prices were comparable if not better than the big box stores like home depot and lowes. The offered free delivery, and they came with a warranty. They were sure to inform us that we could purchase the extended warranty, but it was not forced on us and we were not pressured to pay for it that day. Absolutely excellent quality of service!

I have furnished two homes with Spichers Appiances and used their service. They have been for years the only place I have gone too , I did not comparison shop. Sadly that has ended . I purchased a part to fix a problem , used the make model when purchasing the part , the gentlemen behind the counter agreed it would fix this common issue. I took it home , it wouldnt fit , my refrigerator apparently is an oddball. Lost my receipt. Went to return the part which the salesmen remembered selling me. The person behind the counter looks at the unopened part and said no receipt no refund.Spichers integrity bought my loyalty, their inability to make good on a part , eventhe salesman explained the situation . Well they lost my loyalty. The cost of that same part online is almost half , what I paid for was their sevice , my trust , my loyalty not anymore. I recently purchased a microwave and stove elsewhere. They are now just another place that sells stuff I may consider.

We got expert help in selecting which appliances would work for our home from John, who was friendly and prompt in returning emails and phone calls. I ordered a GE dishwasher and it was delivered about 5 days after ordering and for an extra $15 they hauled off my old unit. Spichers does not install dishwashers but they do have plumbers they recommend to help you out.The website is a little frustrating to sort through but the text to help service was great, for example I couldnt add an installation kit to my cart on the website but the text help recommended I include that I need one in the comments. After placing the order they called me back and squared up the installation kit and added it to my order.The delivery went well but they couldnt schedule a time block so I had to wait until the day of at 8:30am and call them for the delivery schedule to get a better idea of when they would show up.

From our purchase to the delivery and install, everything was perfect. This is our 10th appliance purchase from Spichers. Every experience is top notch!! Kevin, our salesman, was awesome!!! The installers were great. The entire process was efficient!! Always support and buy local!!

I knew what I wanted when I went in. It was nice because no one tried to talk me into something different. Told me about the maintenance plan, but didn’t try to force it on me. I also changed my delivery date and everyone was very nice about it. Delivery was made early so I wasn’t sitting around all day and could get started with my new washing machine.

Clothes dryer quit heating up for my wife while I was stuck at work for 48 hours. Once I got home I found that everything else was working fine other than that. She had already ordered another one by the time I got home which would have been about $600 if not more meaning I pretty much worked the last 2 days to pay for a dryer. However I asked her if I fixed it would that work and she said that would be fine. We called Spichers Appliances to see if they had a heating element for our particular dryer which they did and said they would have it waiting on the counter for us when we got there and would also test our current one. I took ours out which only took a few minutes. When we arrived at the store and went to the parts counter we were greeted by a friendly lady behind a desk asking if she could help us and once we told her she went to get someone to help us. Another employee an older gentleman then came out of the office and took the time to show us what was wrong with our element and then put the fuse from ours which was still good on the new one. I then informed him I needed a new dryer vent hose and he asked how long. I let him know it was just a short piece and he gave me piece off of his van free of charge. Thanks Spichers and employees for saving me $600 BIG ONES. Highly recommend this business.

I went there because my husbands coworker recommended Spichers. He recommended that we speak with John. I went there and ask for John but John was not there that day so Jim approached me and ask if he could help! I said yes sure. I left from there with some information and told him I would look around and compare prices. Last Saturday my husband and I went back and decided we would purchase some appliances. We were in the process of filling out the paperwork and I ask Jim if we could get a discount since we were purchasing 3 major appliances?? He’s response was “we are not Kmart”!! He then good very rude. He then went on to tell me that they charge 15$ for each appliance that is hauled away. I ask him after he said that if they could wavier that 15$ per appliance fee he very rudely said NO. I said to him ok then I will walk away. He then rudely got up with my papers and walked away from me mumbling. I looked at him and told him you are very rude and I wanted my papers back and would go somewhere else. He tried to not give me my papers back but I grabbed them out of his hand and took them. They had my information on them and he had know right to try and keep them. We did go back and spoke with John another salesman which was an awesome salesman. The moral of the story is. If you go to Spichers do not deal with JIM. Then yesterday 2 of my appliances were delivered and he called me and said I had to pay for the 2 removals which I already paid that to John. He said you never turned in the application I said yes I did. I went through John and not you!

Our refrigerator died on Tuesday afternoon. Called Curt Spicher at 2 p.m. He had a serviceman here by 3 p.m. Compressor and condenser shot. Estimate of $1000 for parts and repair. Decided to buy new one. Met Curt the next morning at the store at 8:15. Selected a new refrigerator which matches the rest of our appliances. It was delivered and installed by 9:30 that same morning and the old one was hauled away. NOW THATS SERVICE!

I searched high and low for a new fridge when mine was on its last leg. I called every appliance store in the tri-state region all to be told they were all on backorder until at least March or so. I called spichers and spoke with a gentleman named Brent and he was wonderful! Answered all my questions, was honest with me about inventory totals and even worked with the delivery driver to have my fridge delivered ASAP. Was in the market for a refrigerator and a new stove. Checked a couple of the major chain stores along with two local appliance stores. Took some time to do my research and read reviews and finally settled on Spicer‘s appliances. My main goal was the ability to have knowledgeable sales people and then most likely good servicing after the sale. Both of the local appliance stores did their own servicing which was a plus. My final visit was with Jim in the Hagerstown Maryland store. He was very helpful and we ended up buying a GE stove. We are still in the market for a refrigerator when they become available, which probably won’t be until January 2021. Will keep in contact with Jim until that time.

My wife and I have dealt with spichers for 30 years and have been very satisfied with their products and services.

Have had a washing machine from there since April 2019 and have had someone out here 6 times to try and fix it. It still isnt fixed and we have tried to get a replacement but they say its up to the manufacturer to fix and/or decide if this is considered a lemon. On good days the washing machine works but thats very seldom. We now have a load of laundry stuck in the washer and the door will not open and they say they cant get here until 2 days from now. This experience with them has been nothing but a nightmare.UPDATE: We have since received a new washing machine from Spichers(same brand and such just a different machine itself) and it works SO MUCH better so far.

Spichers salesman, Jim South, was very knowledgeable of the various refrigerator products.I needed a specific size in order to get a new refrigerator into the house. He found several models that would work and I decided on a Haier.Delivery was arranged and their crew handled the delivery and set up exceptionally well.All the appliances in this home have come from Spichers over the years. The GE refrigerator being replaced, was purchased from Spichers in1987. Their excellant sales and service reputation continues to this day.

Was searching for a new refrigerator and over half we were looking through smelled and or had food marks or actual food crumbs in them. Total turn off. Was asked if we needed help roughly 15mins after arriving but the gentleman appeared to be busy.

Spichers is the place to go if you want an excellent service even when you bought appliances there 15 years ago. Can we say the same thing from big box or online retailers? Absolutely not.I recently had an issue with the oven door. This is the oven we bought from Spichers in 2005. I called their service department. The service manager Mike quickly figured out the issue. I took the door over, they fixed the issue free of charge. This I call true service. I highly recommend Spichers for their competitive pricing but more importantly their top notch service personnel.
