Wonderful place! I’m a new rider and got referred here by a trainer for their beginners package. A sweet lady named Glyn guided me through everything. She picked out a helmet and properly fit it to my head, helped me find the perfect pair of boots, and even made sure my clothing fit comfortably. She is really the best! They have a great selection, from gear to even jewelry. The dog they have is super cute too! Overall, I had an amazing experience and strongly recommend shopping here.

Great place to shop for all things equine for primarily English style riders, specifically dressage and hunter jumper. New and used tack, bits, stable supplies, clothes, boots, helmets, jewelry, Breyer models, etc. Some saddles available on trial basis. Everything you need for the show circuit. Excellent and knowledgeable customer service by Glyn, the owner. Plan plenty of time to peruse this pleasant and well arranged store.

A wonderful tack shop conveniently located in Greenville! I loved shopping there as a customer before becoming an employee. Glyn is so knowledgeable and eager to help everyone, from beginners to advanced riders!

Misleading advertising- Google should remove this shop under results when people search for western tack shops in Greenville SC. This is very misleading about what this shop offers. It should be made clear that they DO NOT carry Western tack. It should really be advertised truthfully.

Terrible treatment by the owner. This used to be one of my favorite recommendations, especially for new riders - not anymore. I took my 10 year old to shop with her own money - she’s an avid rider, and a big Breyer fan (Breyerfest + shelves and shelves of Breyer models). Sadly, the owner accused us of shoplifting simply because we were feeling / crinkling the packaging for the Mystery Horse Surprise horses. There’s nothing in that store we can’t buy online and without humiliation. As business owners, we go above and beyond to take care of folks who make the effort to shop in person with us - especially as so many shoppers migrate to Amazon and such - there are more than enough online equestrian sites to pick from. We will not be back.In response to the owners reply - while I do appreciate a business owner taking the time to reply, I have worked with retailers for more than 20 years, and there was certainly a more tactful way to handle the situation if you were simply curious about the noise. We were the only people in the shop - you had us awkwardly stand at the register waiting on you to take our money as you stayed back and counted the inventory on the shelf - even my 15 year old son knew what you were doing. Definitely not ok.

This was my first visit to the store. Young lady by the name of Bentley helped my daughter. As she is a beginner we were able to find a helmet that fit her perfectly and as this is an expensive sport was kind enough to show me the gently used section where I was able to get my daughter a pair of pants and boots that fit her perfectly within my budget.The owner was extremely nice as was the other lady that worked there. I apologize for not getting your names. I have a feeling We will be shopping here a lot more in the future.I really appreciate the guidance and knowledge that these ladies had for someone that is totally clueless. I will disagree with some of the other reviews as I was not up sold in fact I was told about the gently used section which I was very grateful for

We have been going to the Tack Shop for many years. Its a mid-sized shop with very good customer service. If they do not have what you need in stock, the owner is always happy to take the time and help you find or order items. They also buy and sell saddles on consignment, a service we have used several times. They also cater to a lot of the local Pony Clubbers.

The staff here is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a great selection and if they don’t have what you are looking for they can usually get it for you. I would definitely recommend shopping here.

Glyn and her dedicated, as well as horse savvy team, never fail to provide superior service. Im talking about the kind of service people say does not exist anymore. It is alive and well here! Rarely is there an item I need that is not available but in those rare instances, the team is quick to see if it can be ordered or even advise where I can get it locally if needed quickly. With three riders in our household, we know there are other options in the Upstate but NOT for us. I will continue to shop here and if something is priced a bit higher, its worth it because of the service. Thanks to Glyn and her team for always making me feel welcomed and a part of the family, not just another consumer.

We are from out of state and pulled into the parking lot to run into the coffee shop next door. On the door of the coffee shop was a sign that said you can’t park in the Tack Shop’s empty parking lot or you will be towed. Not wanting to be towed, we ordered and I ran back out to move our vehicle. The lady from the Tack Shop had already slapped a tow sticker on our window. Took me 5 minutes standing out in the rain to scratch it off. We are hikers and I would have enjoyed walking through their store after ordering our coffee, but you couldn’t pay me enough to step foot in their establishment now. Maybe she should try putting a coupon on the window of vehicles in her parking lot instead of tow stickers. It might help encourage shoppers instead of drive them away.

Great selections, friendly and very helpful staff

I went in to the shop with a specific need. However the shop owner didn’t leave me free to browse. I said “ok, I’ll just look here,” but she stayed by my side pulling out expensive suggestions. When I made my choices, I wanted to browse a little more, but I felt escorted. She wouldn’t leave me be, she Handed me anything I looked at. I quickly made my purchases feeling uncomfortable and left. Later I decided I really didn’t want the last minute things she handed me and tried to return. She would only give store credit. I likely will spend that eventually and not ever return.

Such a neat place. Some things were good deals but, some too pricey. My favorite thing was when Lexi their mascot greeted me and welcomed me.

Great prices and the girls were very helpful. Found everything I needed and recommend visiting. Equipment for beginner and and experienced riders. Would definitely come again.
