Love this place, cant believe I didnt know about it until now! Such a great supply of wellness products alongside having staff that treats you like a friend instead of customer. Needed raw shea butter for skin and hair, found what I needed and more at House of Health. Definitely a gem in Greensboro. If you need quality wellness products, this is the spot. Also love being able to easily get in and out with kids!

I’m a new customer and so far so good. The customer service of the fella at the register was excellent. He was very informative and friendly. I’ve only been twice so far, my second occasion was a little different because he was training someone. The guy was great as before and spoke when I spoke to them. The young lady seemed a little timid so her customer service wasn’t great like his, she didn’t speak back when I said hello to them or told them to have a nice day and she seem hesitant to take my money from my hand. Like I said it could be because she was new so I won’t hold it against her this time, hopefully she won’t always be that way especially on her own. Overall great so far, I will return and I do recommend because they have a large variety of herbs and health items. Looking forward to visiting again, will update after more visits.

Yesterday afternoon, during an event that was not located in front of this establishment but three doors down, the owner went out of his way to be very rude to my mother and others that were there to give back to the community. He profusely lied in an obscene manner, telling everyone that they were not supposed to be there, their vehicles were in the way of his customers, and much more.I, myself previously spoken with the owner himself, out of respect to ensure him about the event and even posted two different flyers inside of his establishment. Before the event started, I spoke with one of his team members to make them aware of the event. Our vehicles were parked in the far left section of the parking lot (closer to Beef Burger). The tables were placed directly in front of Botanically Rooted, and there was no crowd.I do not appreciate the disrespect, misogyny or discrimination that was presented to my family, friends, and the owner of Botanically Rooted. We were out there to give back and love on the community. And that’s exactly what we did despite his efforts to police us.

Stop wasting your money at GNC and other mega-corporations. While it may not look like much from outdoors, once you step inside, it opens up. Its extremely well-stocked. The staff was cordial and fun to talk with. They patiently answered all of my wifes and my questions. They helped us pick the best products for our budget, and believe me, nothing in there is really expensive. These guys and girls rock. They will help you boost your immune system, increase your health consciousness and point you in the right direction. Affordable, local and wise. This is NOT a paid review. I really had a great experience.

The products sold here are good but the customer service could use some work. The staff does a good job greeting you but since COVID started, they are EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS & soooo EXTRA when it comes to the social distancing with their customers, so much to the point where they make it awkward to shop or even ask a simple question. Even before COVID started, this one particular staff member would always stare me down as I shopped almost implying that he wanted me to hurry up and leave or just watching me as if I was going to steal something. Id rather shop at the House of Health store in Winston Salem. Their staff is waaayyy more friendlier AND welcoming. They definitely are no where near as extra as this staff. Plus they sell their bulk herbs by the ounce so you can get as little or as much of an herb as youd like.

The owner is rude. I guess he likes to hear himself talk. I called the day before to ask about the return policy before I came back for a return. I was told I could so I return the items & he keeps talking about the return policy which wasnt what I was told (so thats a communication issue between you & your staff!) & once the item leaves the store its no longer organic well THATS WHY I BROUGHT IT BACK BECAUSE IT WASNT ORGANIC IN THE FIRST PLACE! The labeling on the product box that hold herbs are not whats in the bags smh anyway either u give me the money or not! Just that simple... I will continue to buy from Deep Roots..I know Im getting the real deal there

Drove 30 miles from Madison, N.C. to get something for my Mother, who has cancer. The lady asked me to put on a mask. Even though I have a medical condition, I thought it would only be for a few minutes, so I put one on. Then the owner approached me and was extremely rude for NO REASON. WOW!!! #DONTSHOPHERE!!!

I have been here twice in a 5 year time frame. First time i came for herbs and was pleased with the selection and prices. The second time i came for herbs as well as an supplement. The enzyme i purchased cost twice as much as it is EVERYWHERE else online and offline (same brand). I could have gotten three times the potency for the same price everywhere else. I am not sure if all supplements are overpriced but i was dissapointed in that. .. Over all the store is pretty good and the staff are pretty positive and it is a good place to go especially for hard to find herbs.

Just because it was your day off, We are still customers. You need to be accountable and be nice to ALL of your customers.Our money is green not black!

I was referred by a friend to go there and get some items to help me with a stuffy nose and sore throat. Everyone that worked there offered to help me and was extremely nice and helpful. I ended up getting more things than I actually came for. The Mr. that works there recommended some things for me ro get and all of it worked just the way he said it would. Im from Kansas, working in Greensboro for a while. This is my new favorite spot. Ill definitely be stocking up on items to take back home with me. I love a great first impression when I go to new places and they nailed it. Stop by and experience it for yourself.

Ive been coming to this store for about 2 years. I buy alot of my health food items here and they give excellent tips and advice on just about anything. Ive lost almost eighty pounds from some of the tips and advice they have given me. Anything you need to improve your health they have it. The prices are reasonable and so is the location. They have apple cider vinegar. All kinds of teas and snacks. Etc.etc.i love them.

This place of amazing... Huge inventory, and the most helpful staff I have ever seen. They will stop what ever they are doing to explain things to you. Will not go anywhere else.

This has been a store that my mother had taken me to as a child. Since being an adult Ive gone there for several things off and on. Today, the black woman did acknowledge me but the tall white guy never said anything to me but was watching me as if i was shoplifting. I did not have a purse, i was carrying a wristlet. I did not think that i appeared to look like a shoplifter. The cashier also stared me down as if i was going to steal. I made my purchase and only to show that i have money to purchase things. I will never step foot in that store again. I will tell anyone who asks me about a health store my experience and will suggest not supporting this local business. The stigma thatis placed on black people causes our own brothers and sisters to treat us unjustly.

I was very pleased with the store and the employees were very helpful in pointing me in the right direction on supplements to take for my conditions. Its nice to have a family owned neighborhood store where the people genuinely care and are also knowledgable. I live in FL, but I would certainly order from this store and have it shipped to me. I look forward to visiting again when I go back to Greensboro.

Rob was extremely helpful in suggesting a herb that would be beneficial for me. I was truly thinking that I was going to be wasting my money, because prescription strength medicine had not helped me, however I was wrong and saw a difference withing hours of taking the herbs! Staff and store was awesome, it was worth my drive!

A great place to shop for all of your health needs and a great selection of products. The staff at this store are great and are very knowledgeable about their products. All of my questions were answered with no hesitation and reccomendations were made for what I was looking for. Very knowledgeable about their products. I missed the store closing by about 15-20 minutes one day. The owner who was already in his car, getting ready to take his daughter to a game, got out opened back up and allowed me to make my purchase. Wow! About 3 yrs ago & Ive been a loyal customer every since and always will because I cant name another store who would have done that for me. Just left this place and the black Woman didn’t even acknowledge us. She walked past us twice. The white guy only said hello and nothing else. Then some white customers came in who are regulars and the staff was just oh so friendly towards them. I would have made almost a $200 purchase but I felt like I always do when I go to any store... out of place and ignored. Shame on you House of Health.

I enjoyed my experience at HOH the other day. My massage therapist recommended that I go there. I enjoyed the friendliness and welcome of all the staff there. I also appreciated the service and one of the owners personally answering all my questions, educating me and making recommendations. He was patient and attentive. It would have been nice if he thanked me for shopping there that day especially since I made a huge purchase. But I think im appreciated. Perhaps he was overwhelmed because he was ringing me up and helping someone else at the same time. In any event I will be going back. Thank you guys. Oh and im a black woman and was sad to read the reviews. Just glad that I had an overall positive experience.

I love House of Health. I live in Houston, but every time Im in Greensboro, I visit the store to find good, effective natural products to help with any ailment that ive been experiencing. They are extremely knowledgeable and always offer accurate information on what supplements and products will be useful. This is by far the best health food/supplement store that ive ever been to.

For 39 cent a gallon I refill my water jugs with reverse osmosis water purification via the machine at House of Health. When shopping alone I normally carry my jugs of 10 or more in increments and utilize their shopping cart. Today I had them all in a huge bin to make carrying them one trip. After filling them all up, there were heavy in the bin. I dragged it through the store because it was too heavy to lift. 2 white men were working there. I stopped midway because I could no longer pull the bin, and asked the cashier could I get some help to my car. His response was something like no, I cant have anyone help you to your car, what if my employee hurts their back. A slight smirk seemed to be on his face, so Im smiling and paying my money thinking hes clearly joking in a cynical way. Sure enough, after receiving my change, Im standing, waiting on some man to assist me. He proceeds to berate me by telling me to get the cart and take them to my car on my own, while the other man come and lifts my bin and takes it to my car. All the while this man is walking outside telling me about the cart and asking how do I plan to get it into the house if I cant even get it in my car. I saw my emotions risings as I shooed him out my face and told him his point had been made, he could return to the store, because I sure wont be.Even after calling the store and speaking with the owner Randy to discuss my disapproval of how our interaction went, I learned a few more things.1. Perception is everything. Being of opposite races in this day and time can cause one to feel or react in a certain way based off how they are feeling2. I never received an apology (the customer isnt always right)3. I did learn about the lawsuits and why this precaution is necessary to take by not having employees carry out water to the car because it will be expected every time and its simply not the stores responsibility4. On the flipside, my suggestion was that Randy watch his tone and demeanor in how he approaches customers, particularly African - Americans (who happen to be one of the biggest demographic of customers keeping this store running.)5. I was typing while Randy talked and these were 3 quotes I heard verbatim“I’ve been in business for 35 years, I’m an expert in making people happy in a health food store” (i wasnt feeling happy)“I can’t make a store for everybody, I’m too damn busy.”“The 1 unhappy customer out of 120 happy ones I literally don’t have time to worry about it. The recipe works.”6. I posted this review on my personal facebook page (because Im heavily connected in promoting shopping local) and a plethora of people commented on other times they have visited and felt unwelcome or was spoken to rudely and some have personally boycotted based off their experience.If my African-American community are one of the biggest spenders in that building and can feed their family for generations, then we deserve and should be treated with respect and when an owner feels he has done so and the customer admits how perception may have played a part in emotions but then explains what the owner can work on to improve customer relations and theyre then told that the situation is all about them personally and doesnt address your suggestions, then you take your business elsewhere and make sure to pull as many other black dollars out of circulation

I was reading the reviews from various customers. I really feel that race should not matter in this case because we are speaking of customer service, but if we must. I am african-american and I have to say that I never felt that my money was unwanted. I must say that I have not had any negative experiences from the HoH. The customer service has been almost superb (almost because I feel superb=perfection and none is perfect. IJS). I have been patronizing this store for over 20 yrs. , faces have changed but I have always felt welcomed. Keep striving to be Best in Business and Industry!

I have very little knowledge about eating healthy. Most of what I know is all learned from the internet in the last 6 months. So... when I walked in, I expected the same kind of crap you get at GNC or The Vitamin Shop. Wrong! These folks were nothing but helpful and provided a very relaxed environment. They also explained anything I needed to know in detail. I would recommend this place to anyone I know. I get the feeling that they only want to help you and that is rare now-a-days.

The owner is verrrry personable, knowledgeable and oh so friendly. I visit HOH for all of my internal needs. The crazy thing is (they WORK) who says you need Xanax, Prozac and all the other crazy medicines. We have all natural plants and berries right in our own back yard. They carry nearly everything that you would need from healthy breakfast foods to energy powders, teas, tonics vitamins, body soaps etc. Everything that GOD has made ...they have turned it into something exciting or delicious. I recommend House of Health to everyone I meet, I urge anyone to just give it a try you will not be disappointed.
