Been coming here 1 or 2 times a week for breakfast, always done right never a complaint. Showed up for lunch and Patrick pickles (gave him the name after another customer was raving about the pickles here) looked at me and said your a morning guy. I never had lunch there in the 4 months I have been going there. I was impressed he picked up on it. Great good, good value (for the neighborhood as its a pricey town) and excellent customer service from all the morning staff! BTW grilled herb chicken was awesomely delicious. Will be going for lunch as well.

I have been coming here for over 10 years (I think that should say something). Depending on the day of the week and the time of day that you go you may end up waiting online for 10 or so minutes or there may be only 2 or 3 people in front of you; but regardless it is definitely worth the wait! It definitely has a local New York bagel shop vibe with a good selection of various types of fresh bagels, bagel flats and good iced coffee.I normally get tuna, onions and tomatoes on a sunflower seed flat with a bag of chips (shown in picture). If you’re lucky you can get one of the few street parking spots that are near the front of the bagel shop and if not there is a parking lot located behind the bagel shop that is used for local shop parking. The parking lot is almost never full but be aware that it is Muni Meter parking (not free) so have some quarters on you.

This is my first angry review ever bc I’m annoyed so here we go -First off I wanna say that I worked in delis and bagel shops for ten years while in school and eventually when I’m less poor I want to open one. So when I say “it’s not hard” I can assure you. - It’s not hard. It’s hectic.The place was slow and yet I had to repeat myself to the chick behind the counter bc she obviously wasn’t listening. Then a third time when I saw her pick up the wrong bagel. This is burnt, tastes like charcoal, soggy from the quart of CC and the bacon is like rubber.RIP $6.

This is my new go to spot for breakfast they did not disappoint. Person who answered phone spoke and understood perfect English my order was delivered hot, the delivery driver was awesome… they didn’t have one thing I ordered but they called back in an expeditious manner to apologize and offer another solution!!! Great business and I would not hesitate to spend my money here!!! Good was beyond good!!! Wish I ordered two 😅

Spectacular bagels. Besides bagels they have many other stuff like amazing sandwiches and much more. Overall one of my favorite places for bagels.

It really pains me to post this photo of careless bagel making. This is my hometown bagel shop but on principle I need to share this photo because...... look. Listen they have amazing tunafish, whitefish salad, and egg salad and their bagels are really good... but 4 out of 10 times you get a bagel maker Who just wants the long line of bagel eaters to end as quick as possible and you get something like this. I will only be coming here to purchase half pounds of tuna and I am taking my business to Ace bagels on Northern Boulevard.

They have the BEST bagel flatbread!!! A sunflower flat with walnut raisin cream cheese is heavenly. No other bagel store in Long Island (not even another store in Great Neck has these amazing flats)! The coffee is good too. 👍🏼👍🏻👍🏽That was then: TODAY I called & asked him to please save me 2 flats. We go there & my husband goes in at 3:20 (while a a woman is leaving)& is told they h CLOSED!! When my husband asks why she was able to get her food the guy is “because she’s pretty “!!! He left empty handed.BTW the hours posted on the door and website BOTH SAY THEY CLOSE AT 5:00pm

If you want fresh and good bagels this is the best place in manhasset/great neck. Line can be long so I would recommend to order in advance. Prices are decent. I usually find a parking spot on the street.

The staff here is unbearable. Almost as bad as the clientele. If you want the truly obnoxious customers creating an uncaring staff, then you need to check this place out. Send your partner here if you want them coming back in a bad mood. The owners need to incentivize their employees - this place is a slow slog of hunger every time!

EDIT: Ive gotten bagels delivered from them several times over the last few months. They have really improved in quality and quantity. Not sure whether the in-store service has changed, though.----------------I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and they have really gone downhill. Service and food quality are both hit or miss. Some of the staff are efficient and provide ample portions, and others frequently give me incorrect orders and/or skimped out on cream cheese. I’ve given them more than enough leeway, to the point that I’ve personally gone back to get the correct order. Recent reviews seem to echo the same message, they need to be more consist with the quality of their food and service or I won’t be coming back.

The owner/manager can keep a line waiting for 5 mins. while he shmoozes with what appear to be regular customers. Moreover, the lacks any sense of respect. Today a woman on line ahead of me asked a customer who had just purchased a cup of coffee and was talking to the owner/mgr to please wear his face mask. The customer said he had taken it off to drink his cup of coffee, and reacted rudely to what had been asked nicely. I politely indicated that he was obligated to wear the mask inside, to which shouting and insults followed back and forth. Unfortunately, the owner/mgr sided with the regular customer. When we explained that face masks are obligatory inside, the owner/mgr said he wasnt going to deal with this and walked away, leaving the entire line waiting. I walked out. Shameful.

Careless monopoly in Great Neck. Support other places in Little Neck if possible. Owner is a POS and luckily we do not have a shortage of good bagel joints in town.

Bagels are good. Services were poor.Assisted by a girl at the counter. She was a little absent-minded that I had to repeat my order several times. it was off busy hour and there was just one other customer. Upon swiping the card, without providing a receipt or asking, she already moved on to something else.

Great fresh bagels and salads. Lox, salmon salad, whitefish, egg salad - everything youd expect in a busy bagel store. Terrific location right in the center of town, walking distance to the LIRR and all the shops. Even their coffee is delicious and fresh. Always a line on the weekends, but lots of staff busy filling orders keeps the wait manageable. Delicious bagel flats in many varieties as well as all the regular bagels. Never disappointed here whether its for eating in, taking out, or catered orders - this is the best bagel place in Great Neck.

Convenient location on a major street, ample parking, good amount of seats for eat-in. My only complaint is the order/cashier area is all the way inside and converges into a small area where customers stand to order. It’s a bit hectic when it comes time to order/pay/pick up your food. I saw some flies inside the store, which is one of the reasons I took a star away.

Zero respect! A customer asked about the hours posted on the door and the response was “I don’t know if you have noticed but a pandemic hit and as with other businesses, we are not operating on those hours, we are operating on whatever the city rules”.$7.95 for a flat with 1 strip of bacon and 1 egg!!!Never again

The best bagel place in Great Neck. The wait can be a but long (5-10 min) at peak hours but its worth the wait. They have coffee, a grill, and AWESOME muffins for cheap. Their pastries are amazing. 200% would recommend. I go there daily.

Great bagels, an incredible range of options. You know its good when your kids tell you “this shops bagels are the best!” Plus they have some nice bakery sweets, Oreo brownies are also a kid favorite in my house.

This place is super delicious in everything they serve. Patrick is super friendly and very accommodating! If you need a great spot for lunch, this is your spot.

I pick up bagels every week for my office staff, and the regular bagels and the flats are fresh and delicious.

Their service is friendly and great interactions but for some reason I always felt overcharged compared to other places, it’s because their breakfast requires you to get coffee.

This is a local staple to the Great Neck community. I encourage others from nearby areas, or even those visiting to also stop in. My go-to is an onion bagel with egg salad and a side of macaroni salad. It is absolutley delicious. In addition to their bagels, Best is also known for the Flagels which I also encourage you to try.

I USE TO LOVE THIS PLACE UNTIL RECENTLY. MY COWORKER AND I ORDERED FOR PICK UP AND WHEN WE GOT THERE OUR FOOD WASNT READY SO WE DECIDED TO WAIT , WHILE WAITING I SAW A ROACH CRAWLING ON THE COUNTER TOP AND ONE OF THE WORKER SAW IT TOO AND DECIDED SMASHED IT WITH HIS HANDS WHILE SERVING A CUSTOMER AND WENT RIGHT BACK IN THE KITCHEN AND STARTED MAKING ANOTHER ORDER. I seldom write a review but I did this time. I wish I could give 0 star to this place. I want to find a new breakfast catering service for my company as the old one closed. I found this place according to google search. The man who answered the phone was absolutely very rude. He seems very busy and he doesnt speak very clear, he has no patience for even 1 question, the quality of the call was really bad, he cannot hear me either since it was noisy in the store. I told him I would call him back later with my cellphone so I can speak much louder, guess what he said: I know who you are, I remember your voice, do not call me back! And he hung up on me! If he is just a employee, the owner should fire him. If he is the owner, well good luck with your horrible personality and attitude .

I am picky about my bagels and they are my favorite on long Island. Awesome variety of bagels and flats in both white and whole wheat. They also have salads, sandwiches, and paninis. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

They wear their masks under their noses and dont tell their customers to keep their masks on.I was served coffee without them wearing gloves and I rejected the coffee until he put on the gloves.

My go to place every year when I visit Great Neck. Great bagels and olive cream cheese. Staff is wonderful and friendly.

I primarily come here for the bagels which are really good. Wide variety and fresh. But they also have really good coffee and pastries as well.

Worse service ever, this is the second time Ive gone there and its just horrible, they couldnt even get my order right. They just dont care about customer service, today I waited 7mins before someone said can I help you and it wasnt even crowded when I asked someone for help I got a blunt Im busy and point to someone that was on the phone.

Tried this place out on a whim. Line went from the register to the door which I hoped was indicative of the quality of bagels. The line took at least 20 minutes alone. I got my bagel with bacon egg and cheese. It was only 11am and bagel was stale, on the smaller side, eggs overcooked. I guess I just have higher standards for hand rolled, homemade bagels in New York. Wont be coming back.

The bagels were berned and the food tasted nasty. The owner is a very disrespectful person and didnt want to give us a refund. Never go there. Not even the bagels taste good. Instead of the restaurant being called best bagels it should be called worst bagels in history. I rather eat garbage than this food. Remember to never go there.

The eggs on my breakfast sandwich looked and tasted like it came from a box and not fresh eggs and it was thinner then paper for the price they charge you would think they would give you a decent sandwich. The bagels got hard within a hour . They are going down hill.

I went in for a egg, swiss and pepper sandwich. It was so good. Most places just throw eggs on a roll and a slice of swiss. But Best Bagels put the egg and cheese in layers. Im getting hungry just thinking about it!

Over weekend i ordered burger and fries and some wings for delivery to my job. It took about 90mins for it to arrive. And they didn’t send any eating utensils. Not a napkin in sight. And NO KETCHUP. so i called back and same girl who took my order answered. I explained to her what happened. She placed me on hold someone else picked up. I asked him did i have to ask for napkins ketchup forks. He said no and would send someone back. They never came. I didn’t wait. I rather have dry fries then cold. Both workers i spoke with were rude. Y’all got my last $20. Would not recommend to any one.
