I schedule an appointment three weeks in advance. While making that appointment I asked several questions. I was told that the Atlas is going to be in the shop for a few days! So I asked for a loaner car. I clarified that I needed an SUV because I have kids. I was told that they’re going to have an SUV on this day! But instead, I got an attitude and a Jetta. My fiancé also told the girl on the phone that, I’ll be dropping the car off and picking up the loaner if that’s OK! she said yes. When I got there, I cannot pick the car up! My fiancé had to leave his work to come to get the car with a car. Now I don’t have space for the car seats.

They refused to give me a loaner car when I took my car for warranty repairs because I am under 25. First time I’m hearing such a thing. My friends with other cars get loaners from their dealerships all the time. Terrible customer service. Just because I am under 25 I’m not a valuable customer? I bought my car for the full sticker price and I expected good customer service with it. Completely unacceptable. How am I supposed to get service done when I need a car every day.

We have a 2020 Tiguan. In the one year we’ve had this car, we’ve had to visit this place one TOO many times - from software updates, recalls to a broken sunglasses holder - which we don’t even use. Problems are minor but the amount of time needed to address them is RIDICULOUS. In person customer service is fine - smiles and courtesy - but if you want a car with no problems in the long term, you won’t find it. Making an appointment takes forever. They made one appointment during a holiday when they were closed and it took numerous calls and emails to get another appointment. Waiting time to fix even a sunglasses holder took 5 hours. They’ll advertise a free car wash - which in theory is nice but will you really wait another hour or two for it? If you value your time and want a car with minimal service visits in one year - don’t get this car and don’t come here.

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change August 19,2021 at 820am. I booked the appointment online for an oil change price at 100.95. I get there the advisor tells me that the price changed to 150. I looked up the prices online again and stated 100.95 for an oil change. I showed it to the advisor he stated that the prices have changed. I told him I’m not paying 150 when it says 100.95 . Then the advisor told me he spoke with his service manager and they can do an oil change for 125 I told I’m not paying 125. He stated they only have synthetic oil available I told that my car use synthetic and the 100.95 price is for my car oil. I called another dealer they said the will do the oil and offered me a coupon fit oil change. When I was talking to them on the phone the advisor tells I can honor the 100.95 price I told I want my car I’m going somewhere else. He stated I think they are working on the car I told give me my car I know your aren’t working on it the job was for 3 hours. Because of this practice of being dishonest to your customers you lost a customer. Now I have to waste a whole without my car because you wanted to rip me off for 50. I hope it was worth it. Horrible service and service manager didn’t even talk to me at all. I would stay clear of this place.

Through the years i have own different brands of cars and took those cars to the proper agency for service, Bayside Volkswagen is hands down the best of all, throughout the service they sent me video of the entire inspection of the car this one was the first time any agency have done anything similar.Great service great personal great attention to the detail.

This is a genuine review from my personal experience at this location. I am usually one not to leave a review, BUT in this case they left me no choice. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at any location bringing my car in. I brought my car in cause it stalled on me and they weren’t able to diagnose or help me fix the problem. They seemed just as unsure as I was. Matthew, seemed incompetent to know anything about cars and services required. He told me my car was normal again and ready to pick up, mind you I took a $40 cab ride and once I get there literally the car stalls within 30seconds of test driving and my car started making sounds (which it wasn’t before when I brought it in) I informed Matthew and he acknowledged the sound and said would check on it. Days later they said they’re still working on it and tryna figure it out. This place doesn’t care to do their job, they don’t reach out to you. You’ll waste your time, money and energy here. This place cannot be trusted with your car. From my experience they made my car worse and I wasted 2 weeks for nothing. Please avoid this place at all costs. The vibe in this place is off and I wouldn’t have brought my car if I met Matthew and the service manager Danny beforehand, but unfortunately I had my car towed there. Please save yourself the sanity and peace of mind and bring your car elsewhere. I’m leaving this review so nobody has to suffer or experience this situation again. This place doesn’t even deserve a star. Lesson learned, I will never come back to this place, nor would I ever recommend this place.

I had a yearly or 10,000 miles oil engine change on my at this place on Wednesday 4/7/21, and most car services I’ve been to, they don’t just change oil engine, but refill all kind of fluids on the engines. But this place didn’t bother to check it at all, until I got home and to see how did they do. I don’t think I’ll come back here.

After excellent experience with purchasing the car in VW dealership and than seeing well organized Service with the first 10,000 miles maintenance last May I came this morning so relaxed for 20,000 miles maintenance, but now I am so disappointed. Things since the last year changed rapidly for the worst. So unhappy and sad. Being happy to have reliable service and have a great confidence in their work and the way I feel now...

I have used his service center for over 10 years and I have always had quality service. Unfortunately, I am very displeased with the recent service I received from my assigned service advisor. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and the state inspection. It started when I was told that I needed to get the 10000 service check. Even though I only had 5000, I asked my advisor what the 10000 entail and I was toldan oil change. ??? I asked again for the specifics- I was then told it would include the checking of fluids. ? Why is that $ 149? I was also told that there was a recall and they would check it but I was never told what the recall was for. Im used to service advisors that communicate and discuss what is being done. My service advisor told me it was a 3-4 hour job so I left. 7 hours later when I called, my car hadnt even been touched. The advisor told me not to worry and that my car would be ready and if there was any problem he would call me. I asked him to call me to give me update. He assured me he would call and would not wait till closing to give me a call. Well, he never called me. I ended up calling him at 5:50 (the place closes at 6) and hes like oh, your car is ready. He told me that I can get my car the next day or that evening. I explained that this lack of communication is unacceptable and he laughed and said what do you want me to do?. Well buddy, youre staying late because I went to get my car that evening. While in the car ride to the center, he sent me a text, with the bill, called me (oh now you know my number?) and asked me to pay the bill via the link. Absolutely not. I told him that there was no secure Wi-Fi and I was not typing in my cc numbers. He played stupid and acted like he didnt know what I was talking about. When I arrived after 6, I got my car and again he didnt tell me anything that was done to my car. Service advisors always discuss with you what has been done to your car and what the next steps are. None of that happen. This advisor was uncommunicative and this is not the service Im used to. I expect better.

This is the worst VW service center I’ve been to. Every time I go, they take more than the original estimated time and they break something else while fixing another issue.I’ve been waiting to bring my car in for the 3rd time in 5 weeks because they broke my Apple CarPlay AND Bluetooth while fixing the blindspot monitor.They also broke the drivers side VISOR. When they gave me back my car last time, the hood was open and there were bug eggs all over the back of the trunk. They don’t return calls or emails at all, don’t keep your car in the condition you brought it in, and overall the level of service here is poor.Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place. I’ve been to other VW service centers where they actually know how to fix VW cars and care about their customers.I ended up going to a different service center and they told me all the issues Bayside caused in my car. So, wholly AVOID.

I had an awful experience with this service center. They never kept me in the loop of what was going on with my car and that my car would be there for over a week. John, the service representative was nasty and wouldn’t even go over the diagnostics or go outside and show us what was done “because it was too cold outside”. That I would have to figure it out myself. Mike, the manager, never had the common courtesy to call me back after I left him a message. I explained to the staff that all I wanted to know if I was getting my car back or if they can provide a loaner so I can go about my life. That was even too hard for them to do. Very disappointed and would never come back here again. They do not even deserve a one star rating.

I am saddened to have to write this review. I received excellent service at this service center just one year ago. So good that I told my boss & friends who had VWs that Id found a service center that was superb. A hard find in/close to NYC! At least 2 friends brought their cars here and 1 decided to buy a new one at the associated sales center. Sadly, and to keep this short- I asked for a diagnostic on a malfunctioning lock, quick service check & state inspection. Service rep said Id have my car ready in appx 48 hours as he had an idea on the lock problem. 36 hours later, they hadnt even looked at the car. No one was transparent about this and gave me the run around until I just picked the car up untouched a few days later. They changed my car key battery and sent me away. I was still willing to give a chance bc sometimes businesses get backed up right? Asked the service rep to ask the manager for a makegood and contact me for a reschedule.The next day I got a text that said - Im writing to ensure you are happy with the service provided and your vehicle is running. REALLY??? Despite texting back, they sadly did not reply nor call me back. Not everyone will have this experience Im sure, but Volkswagen service centers do not take customer service seriously. Will never buy another VW for this reason and this reason ONLY. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when potentially spending a couple thousand on a service visit.

Mustafa K. is the Best Service Advisor I have ever worked with. I Have tried other Service Centers and left very disappointed. Volkswagen should consider your Service Center to be the goal standard for all other Volkswagen Service Centers.

They got me for over 2k worth of work. I will never be going back there again. Our Service advisor was not very knowledgeable about procedures. My car was shaking BEFORE AND AFTER being there. For over 2 grand this shop will be out of my life forever. Lesson learned!

I bought my Volkswagen get an engine oil change, water pump replaced and window master switch repaired. The mechanic replaced the master switch but there are a few scratches on it which is really unacceptable (pic). Theres tons of oil stains on my hood. I complained to them but they arent going to replace the master switch.A week later, I had a p2015 engine code. Not sure how i got this code but it happened a week after I took it to bayside vw. Instead, I took my car to Volkswagen at White Plains. They inspected everything and suggested the following:- rear window wiper spray did not work (covered under warranty)- drive belt need replacement soon- suggested to replace the fuel filter since it has never been replaced since day one.- they put my car on a wheel alignment machine (free) and informed me that it wasnt driving straight.- Manifold replaced (under warranty)- VW picked me up from my house when the car was done.bayside vw does not check or inspect anything on your vehicle even though they say they do. Very disappointed and this isnt my first time having a problem with this place.

Poor service. I scheduled 10k maintainance service 7:40 AM. Advisor told me that it took 1-2 hours biut mine took 4hours!! simple 10k service which was oil, filter changed and check nyc inspection. Advisor said this happen was unusual matter but I believed he took care Volvo customers first. Some volvo customers come in after me and than their service was done before me. They just waited 1 hour so. They dont even wash my car. I felt they were hurry to handle over the car to me because I asked progress status several times.

I was very concerned about having to have my car inspection, oil change and 10k maintenance service performed because of this pandemic.My mom who is 91, relies on me, so I have had to be extremely cautious.Everyone I interacted with at this VW service, was extremely professional, and took all the necessary safety precautions, which put me at ease. From Jose who checked me in, to my Advisor Mustafa Karimbaksh, really everyone working there were very respectful and took my concerns seriously.Kurt Palmer inspected my car and sent me a video to my phone of his findings. Everything was in perfect shape, so I was happy I did not have to worry if thy were going to make something up because I was a women at a service shop. Mustafa sent me text, so I would have his number directly in the event I needed to ask any questions. He quoted me an estimated time the work would be completed, and he got my car back to me 15 minutes earlier! I highly recommend Volkswagen Service Bayside.

Purchased my car from Bayside VW and they told me all of my services were included and told me to come back at 10k Miles. ( purchased in march). I drove more than the average driver and hit 10k by end of October. I called to make and appoint and i know i wont get a time slot or for the next few days. I called October 23 and was told the next available appoint will be November 27th..... For my first service. Was also told that i could keep going a little more and the oil just gets a little dirty. If im not mistaken, but the viscosity of oil changes as it becomes worn and used for a period of time which is a cause of sludge. When i asked what services were included ( i was under the impression it was routine services i.e oil changes, tire rotations, additional fluid changes) nope. Oil changes and a multi point inspection..... I like my car, but dont plan to buy from Bayside on my next purchase or lease. Called a competitor dealer and they were able to schedule an appoint 1 week from today.

This vw service department is terrible, they wanted to charge me few thousands dollars for a simple fix where I got it done by local tech for a $150, thats how you know theyre rip off. Every signal time I visited the bayside service, young white guy ( izac?) provided me excellent service and advise! Everybody is thoughtful and very friendly professional! I think I’m a tough and picky person, and I’m very satisfied with this place. I took my car here to get under extended warranty part replaced per diagnostic I got from VW licensed mechanic. I was told they can’t really on 3rd party diagnostic test so they should run their own. After the trust they told me I need to replace the ignition coil instead of the injectors which was under warranty. Two weeks after I took my car from the shop I got the same misfire problem. I picked them only for convenient location and ignored all the comments here. Please don’t do the same mistake I did if you don’t want to waste your money and time.

This was the first time I was ever here and I brought my new Volkswagen Atlas for an oil change and I found them being very professional and friendly. My wait was about an hour which I felt was not bad at all . They had out free fresh coffee and other edibles for the customers. Also the bathrooms were very clean. So far so good

Hello I went to your store and I trust you, but this time I was disappointed. I paid $ 530 for maintenance and no one told me when the car was picked up. Just told me to pay for it under my inquiry. I just told me there is something wrong with the vehicle and your oil change service price has not risen. I did n’t tell us that I was really disappointed this time.

This is not a reliable place to service your car. If you have no choice make sure you check their work after theyre done. During the last time I was there, one of the guys backed up my car against a wall and damaged both the paint and bumper. Lost screws and missing screws.

My car had a dead battery that’s covered in warranty, called to arranged an appointment for Thursday, I ended up dropping the car off on Tuesday because I drove by there. They took the car and within the same day, they gave me a call saying the only problem is the battery. They said they don’t have one in stock so they need to order one for me, if they had the battery they would have done it in the same day. They told me it should be ready on Friday, and on Friday 9AM I received a call saying the car is ready. They also did a full inspection to make sure everything is fine.Honestly I don’t know what I can complaint. Maybe the fact that they don’t have enough loaner cars? But even that they arrange shuttle from Bayside Volkswagen/Volvo to here. Staff are pretty friendly as well.

The staff is friendly, courteous and honest and they do their best to make sure you get the correct work done at an honest rate. Owning a car is not inexpensive, and keeping a car in good working order always presents problems and difficult decisions. I find the service ppl at Bayside vw work very hard to make the process as smooth and trouble free as possible. Highly recommended.

Ive been going here for years since i got my 2008 vw jetta. It was originally a lease model and time and time again, they have overcharged for things that should be less. I go here because i had a worst experience elsewhere where they didnt know how to work on a german car. Recently they claimed to have done a throttle body cleaning, the problem i experienced got worst. They charged me almost 400 for it and as soon as i tried to get on the highway, the problem got worst. They refused to answer my numerous phone calls to the adviser and the manager. This place just wants your money , thats it! They do the minimal amount of work necessary. Avoid at all cost.

I would not recommend purchasing Volkswagens auto at Bayside nor receive service at Bayside VW, if you want headache-free life with your car. Poor service....I had an issue with my atlas, there was a noise in the driver side and they said it needs a part and they’ll call me when it comes in, but it’s not an issue....well 1 month later, no phone call and now my check engine light is on. I call to make an appointment and I get oh we don’t have any Gifu until July 2!....ummmm check engine!....and when I asked about the part to repair the noise, the reply I get is “I have to ask parts department about that bc I don’t know”....I said well can you check the notes and see what I’m talking about?...umm yeah I have to ask parts.... just ridiculous! And don’t bother asking them to wash your car...they won’t do it...they will say that they did it but, pretty obvious they didn’t...thanks! Glad I pay extra for such great service....take your car to jersey! You’re better off! Way nicer, they have loaners and they’re professionals

I own a VW atlas 2018, and recently encountered a very annoying issue, and felt really frustrated and disappointed before I went to bayside VW service. Fortunately, Andrew found the issue and fixed it very quickly. The service is key of the business.

Horrible service, these people do not know how to treat there clientele at all. The way the lady at the front desk talked to me as I was a pesent, made me furious! How dare they have the audacity to over charge me for a simple oil change($134.00) and a service to my car that was not needed at all. To top it all off I check my oil right after the service to make sure they atleast did the oil change right because treating their clients with respect is obviously to much work for them, they did not put the correct amount of oil, it was dangerously low. Going here was a complete waste of time I do not recommend going here at all. Better off at a gas station mechanic in my opinion...

The service center at Bayside VW was excellent. My father and I brought in a 2010 VW Jetta we had just acquired and needed some serious work done. Andrew was extremely helpful and aided us in finding out that some components, like the turbo, which needed to be replaced, were actually still under warranty. Without his help, we wouldnt have the beautifully working Jetta we have today. Service itself was excellent, we havent had any issues with the car since bringing it in.

Had been doing my VWs scheduled maintenance with them for couple years, itd been great, services on point, also provide shuttle service so you dont have to wait when your car being worked on. Until my last visit about a month ago. They now also have Volvos signs, and seems having a new management. Oh boy, they gave me a ridiculous quote for $600 (after hearing the quote, I immediately called another dealer for a quote, it was only $300), after telling them I was going to go somewhere else, they conceded and dropped the price by $200, still $100 more than Open Road in the city, but I didnt wanna waste my time so I stuck with them. Unfortunately its not the end of the story yet. After getting the car back, the wheels would rattle if I drive over 70 mph, which didnt happen before the service... Seriously, its a shame this once great dealership is operated by weasels now. Will not recommend.

2015 VW PassatDont go there,they are just a bunch of clowns and they will mess up your car like they did to me.Recall for Airbag & ECU reset done by them and my car cant pass emission inspection anymore so they where asking me to pay $140 + tax just to connect my car again to diagnostic and they will see what is wrong with the car...well nothing was wrong before with passing emission inspection...

Chris Albanese is GREAT but the Service Department is trash. I have a 2008 Jetta and I always take my car to dealerships for service (North Jersey, South Jersey, and Bay Ridge) and Ive always gotten phenomenal customer service until now. I made a 9am appointment about 3 weeks ahead of time and dropped off my car. They call me at 3:30pm the same day and told me NO ONE EVEN LOOKED AT MY CAR THAT DAY so Id need to wait until at least the following day to even know whats wrong with it. It finally gets serviced the next day and when I pick it up the cashier was rude and gave me the wrong car key. I told her that it wasnt my key AND that I gave them 2 keys since one issue was key re-programming, she just looks at me and then calls for someone to come to the desk. Chris comes around and asks her AGAIN if its my key, she tells him (with an attitude that it is). Sure enough, we go outside and it isnt my key. She actually gave me the key to someone elses car that was parked outside! Chris sorted it out, apologized profusely, and got my car for me...personally!

Bayside vw break down your car, wast your time and money. I came in for Jetta 2012 recall In April 2015 and they installed rear axle brace. On my way home the tire light turns on. I checked the tire pressure with the gas station and they readjust the tire pressure. The tire light still stay on. Today I am taking my car back to them.Three months ago I had rear break shoes replace with them that cost me almost 500 dollars and keep me waiting over 6 hours. At first they told me takes about 2 hours then a little bit more time.

I have never been happy with Bayside VW service or Bayside VW sales. Ive done business with them for 17 years and always hoped they would wake up and improve the customer service on both the sales side and service side. Doesnt look like it will ever happen. The only reason Im here today is to pick up something from the parts department. I will never buy another car from them or bring my car into servicing here again.
