I just purchased a Dodge Challenger from Courtesy Dodge yesterday and was absolutely floored with how fantastic my entire experience was with this dealership. My salesman (Kyle) was professional, friendly and totally customer oriented... as demonstrated by the excellent communication we had during the course of our working up the deal. In addition to the superb service I received from Kyle... the entire staff... from the front office sales team through the finance manager... treated me like a member of the family. No pressure, excellent communication and a sincere interest to providing me with the best deal possible all added up when making my decision to purchase my new car from Courtesy Dodge. This place is amazing! I’m in town for the weekend, and my Jeep was sputtering Friday night as I was driving into town. I live about 2.5 hours away, so I had to get it fixed to be able to drive home on Sunday. I called Saturday morning, explained my situation and the service guy (Kevin?) told me to bring it in so they could run a code for me but they were booked solid for the day. I got here, they ran a code and were able to get it in to fix it so I wouldn’t be stranded. I can’t thank this place enough for their superior service. If you live in the area, you are lucky to have such an amazing dealership in your back yard.

Huge thank you to Kris at Courtesy on 28th st for his amazing service. Kris went beyond our expectations! We were looking for a new Grand Cherokee L but it was hard to find the color and all of the features we wanted in the model we were looking for and he met all of our expectations. Courtesy overall had way more options than any Jeep dealership from Grand Rapids to Fremont. We typically don’t go through a dealership for trading in but Kris was able to make the process so smooth. He was exactly the kind of sales rep you would hope for when going to a dealership; he knew his stuff, helped to reason and make the best decisions for our family, and was a a balance of all that without pushing into things we don’t need just to up a price. (You were even able to talk my husband into an extended warranty without being pushy and out of the crazy amount of vehicles he’s gone through i’ve yet to see that happen) Thank you for all of your time yesterday Kris. I traded in a 2017 two door sport Wrangler for a 2017 four door Sahara in December because I needed more space. Matt was a wonderful sales person and very personable. I enjoyed his company during the process.When I purchased the vehicle I knew it would need new tires probably a year out. However, I already need new tires and I haven’t even had an oil change yet. One isn’t holding air and they are all dry rotting. I also noticed a squeaking in the breaks.I’m very happy with their service. They are meeting me in the middle by replacing the breaks and one tire free of charge. I only asked them to pay for one tire. While these things shouldn’t have happened in the first place I respect their response. I’ll continue to shop here knowing they will own their mistake and honor their costumers.

I have worked with the same service advisor, Jason, for a number of years now. I manage a small fleet of vehicles at work, and have trusted the service and level of care Courtesy Dodge provides. It is a dealership so naturally you will see that reflected in the pricing, but with that higher price comes trust, attention to detail, quality certified parts, warranties, and reliable service. They will provide an honest assessment regarding the work needing to be performed on the vehicle, and a realistic timeline for when they are expected to complete the service being performed.They do have a quick service area that can be a hit or miss in terms of how busy it is/availability, which is why I call my service advisor to schedule appointments ahead of time.They offer a shuttle so if you are local and need to return to work or go home while the vehicle is being worked on, that is an option.

This has been my first time going to Courtesy service department. My 2011 Grand cherokee (overland) air ride compressor went out. End of May they confirmed this. Giving me a quote. And was ready to repair it immediately. After we agreed that I bring my own new parts and pay to replace it. (Which they guaranteed the install and not the parts of course). I was told no appointments available until July 7.I had the repair done early July using my part. And was told that they preformed an update to the air ride module software.However Ive noticed since getting it back that the compressor is loud when its in operation. (I suspected maybe something wasnt put on completely right). Then my biggest problem is when I drive over bumps, potholes and sometimes even seems in the road at any speed over 30mph my truck kind of shutters and skips to the side. Its worse at higher speeds (which i found out while driving from Grand Rapids to Columbus OH. Where a few times I thought I was either going to slide into another vehicle or off the highway... This is extremely unsafe.I have since called Courtesy a few times. Sitting on hold for 20 or so minutes before the phone abruptly hangs up without speaking to the service tech (Kevin) which was assigned to me. Or being sent to his voicemail. After leaving a message 4 days ago Aug.9,2021. I have yet to hear back from them. However I have called and heard back from other jeep service departments in much bigger cities. And within a day they contact me.Speaking with service technicians in larger cities theyve told me that as long as the part isnt faulty, that it sounds like the part wasnt installed correctly. However Courtesy hasnt given me a call back in order to rectify anything. Im thinking they knew this when they installed the air ride compressor.Ill have to find a way to get this repaired soon. Before Im in some accident.My advice is if you need your vehicle serviced use caution when having Courtesy Dodge jeep on 28th and Madison do it.Not happy or satisfied!

Andy in Service puts in the effort to make sure customers get the quality service they deserve. We had a known issue arise just a bit over our warranty limit. He made the call to get it covered for us. Even though Courtesy is 40 minutes from our home, we buy from them and we go there for service, because they take care of the customer. Another dealer 2 miles from our home has been given multiple opportunities to earn our business over the years and has failed miserably. After months of browsing new and used vehicles, I made my decision to purchase a 2021 Jeep Compass. I already have a 2018 Compass in my household, so I knew what I was getting into. I called ahead and talked with Brittany and laid out what options were a must have. They found an 80th Anniversary Edition that had everything I wanted and more! I went in on a Wednesday morning before work and test drove one of the new vehicles and told her I’d be back the following day to make my final choice. The sales team wasn’t pushy and didn’t continually hound me after that. Thursday came and I got my approval and finance details and made a decision on the exact vehicle. Friday morning, bright and early I went in and signed the papers. I had my keys in less than 2 hours! I’ve purchased several vehicles from dealers and this had to be one of, if not THE, fastest times in and out. The car was clean, had a full tank of fuel and they went over any questions I had before I left the lot. When it comes time to get something new for either myself or my family, we will be going back!

I stopped into Courtesy after calling about a Pacifica Hybrid they had on their lot. A gentleman named Chris Engelter talked to me when I called, and he was my sales guys in the dealership as well. Updated:After finding out my car bought from Courtesy would need quite a few things fixed, I was clearly upset. Courtesy ending up stepping up to the plate and did several of the repairs for me, more than they promised actually. I’ll still be left with around $1800 worth of repairs to fix, but I bought a used car and that’s a risk. Jeff, general sales manager, and Kevin, service technician, were amazing at fixing the issues once it was brought to them.If considering buying from Courtesy, just know they stand behind the vehicles they sell and will make sure the customer is happy after the sale as well.

I think its safe to say that we all carry anxiety whenever we shop at a new dealership but at Courtesy, you can leave your worries at the door. I cannot explain how great of an experience this was to get a new car here. First of all when you walk in the doors your greeted by almost all the staff up front welcoming you in. Most importantly though, the one thing that was number one seller for me was being able to work with Chris Engelter. This guy was a great sales man. He sat down with me and got to know me more as a person rather then be pushy and go right into cars. I ended up leasing a Jeep Rubicon from him after a few days of thinking about it. Chris, then walked me through all the features and asked me if there was anything I was worried about that I wanted to know. He simply listened to what my want was and fulfilled it. Certified Used: 10/5.I had a great experience with Todd looking at Certified Jeep Inventory at Courtesy. We found my Cherry 2017 Jeep Patriot High Altitude Edition. Todd was wonderful. Kind, knowledgeable, and while a salesman, I found him attentive and low pressure. Unlike other dealerships or younger tactics (hounding texts). He built a familiarity, allowing me to feel comfortable enough to speak to him candidly and, more importantly, confident in returning to a Jeep post a rollover accident.Service Department: 1/5.The service department took out Jeep Weather-Tech-Mats from Patriot after purchase. It seemed a little unusual at the time, but Todd got the mats back when I made a note.My Jeep had broken glass in the backseats from a previously popped window on the convoy. Broken glass in the window slot prevented the back window from rolling down, and this brought me for the first time to the Service Department. On April 9th I scheduled with Sydney for an April 19th, 8 AM service, including a request for a replacement mirror for the 2017 Jeep Patriot.I opted for early-bird service on a Sunday night before the 8 AM diagnostic. Morning of the appointment, Sydney at Courtesy called me promptly to authorize the diagnostic-examine.However, I could not reach Sydney for the remainder of the appointment day, 9 AM on. I was connected with Rylee and often Sydneys voicemail. It was not until the following day I was able to reach Sydney.Courtesy operated post-appointment date 4/20. I was happy with the work executed: back window free of glass and driver-side wheel bearing adjusted. I was disappointed to find Parts had not ordered a mirror, but I understood, and were in Covid times. Plus, I appreciate solid work; it lets me trust my Jeep when driving.Courtesy ordered a replacement passenger side mirror and said theyd be in contact with the parts arrival 5-9 days out to fit me in promptly.Radio silence.On May 9th, I called and reached Sydneys voicemail, left a message for a callback. The following day I called a few more times. Eventually, I connected with Sydney, who said there was no entry the mirror had arrived but checked upon request! The mirror was there. Sydney kindly scheduled me out two days for a 1 PM appointment.May 12th, I arrived at Courtesy. There was confusion over whether I had an appointment. But, Courtesy successfully replaced the mirror: again, solid work. Still, quite a trouble to coordinate. Mirror had been in for 15 days with no sign I was going to be called. The service department was not happy to provide me the date the part arrived in the shop. Unlike the comfortable transparency with Todd at purchase, I felt deliberately distanced from the work being done on my vehicle.Speaking with Andy, the head of the Service Department, I was hoping I could gain insight. We could find a solution for future maintenance. Instead, Andy was apathetic and avoided eye contact with me. Bothered, he explained even if Courtesy called when the part arrived, I would have had to wait for service anyway. It was a doubtful answer. I suddenly felt strange about being a female patron in the shop and weird for advocating for myself ...I presume I will be returning to Zeigler for the Jeep. We purchased our previous Certified Jeep at Zeigler of Grandville in 2017, serviced through 2020. They had an outstanding Service department, and I always felt comfortable as a patron regardless of age, gender, and experience.

Stopped in today for an oil change and was greeted right away. Normally at other places I’d have to wait to be helped, but they were on their game here! I truly CANNOT say enough good things about Aaron! He was AMAZING. He was kind, friendly, understanding, and helpful. He made the process so smooth and he was SO PATIENT with me.I will say the gentleman in finance was nice, but I did end up purchasing an extended warranty that I did not want, which I didnt realize until I saw my loan come in for $3,500 more than I was expecting. It felt a little sketchy... so be careful of that!That being said they were very helpful in getting that removed for me. Additionally I had some concerns about the breaks when I purchased the car. I thought they would just replace the pads, but they gave me ALL NEW RODERS. I thought that was very honorable.I would HIGHLY recommend Courtesy to any of my friends and family- Especially Aaron.

I came in for my 1pm appointment for a recall which I was told involved a software update. Over the phone I was told a half hour for the appointment, when I got there I was told an hour. I was on my lunch break, and it ended up being two hours. I asked about it at 2:15pm and was told it was just being finished, yet it took another 40 minutes. I drove the vehicle away and noticed my oil change gauge was reset and that I had a new oil change sticker, even though this service was not supposed to be performed. I had to call and ask about this, the mileage on the sticker did not match my Jeep either. I was told that one was done, but when inquired further due to an upcoming trip Im taking, I was told it was not done. There was a mix up with my Jeep and another and it was prepped for an oil change but did not have one. I was also informed about a mix up with my keys being lost for a bit of time in the beginning. After this call I did get a call from someone else explaining again what happened and to apologize. The four stars is for the lack of communication while I was there and the extra time it took with no explanation of why while I was there. I have been a customer for a long time.

We recently took our Jeep Cherokee in for a recall per Jeep itself. We dropped it off in the morning and planned to pick it up after hours. We had asked the dealership to lock the keys/FOB in the car (they claimed they had a way of doing this) and we’d use the spare upon pickup.When we picked it up after hours, upon initial inspection, we did not find our original set of keys/FOB anywhere, but obviously assumed them to be in the vehicle somewhere. Once we got home, we looked a little deeper: glove box, visor, floor mats, gas tank, hood, etc, but could not find them anywhere.We called the dealership the next day (this took about 5 attempts since our assigned service person never answered their phone, nor returned our messages) and when we finally got ahold of someone- which took me insisting being transferred to a person and not a voicemail- and they said they could not find our keys/FOB in their possession. Their search lasted about 5 minutes of us being on hold and then told us to check our car again claiming that they left them under the floor mat. Obviously, they did not.These keys included our house keys, rental house keys, and a dog tag from our dog who has since passed. So, not only do we need to replace the locks on our homes (since the dealership has access to our addresses), but they also lost a valuable keepsake from a dog we recently lost.The dealership never bothered to contact us regarding the issue, nor looked more in-depth for the keys/FOB. It took us consistently calling for over a week (due to their lack of answering phones/responding to voicemails) to finally get them to, at least, order a replacement FOB.Highly disappointing. We would love to not do business with this dealership ever again.

Our sales rep Aaron was amazing, kind and helpful, we were ready to sign the papers and met with Michael W. - about half way through, the conversation turned to my husband not being sure about the payments(well over $200 from what was first mentioned to us) anyways, this visibly upset Michael, so he said “it’s very obvious to me you can’t afford this truck, not sure why you’re here.” Incredibly disrespectful and not true. Everyone has a budget. Just thought we’d warn others. If you want your hard work to be talked down to, go here.

Excuse the length review, but it is worth the read.My review highlights a few individuals at Courtesy (CDJR) that really stood out as stellar. Todd Whittaker (sales), he was hands down the best salesman that I have ever had the pleasure of working with when purchasing a vehicle. He was honest in word and deed; he listened; never tried to up sale; his level of integrity was refreshing, and he understood customer service. Believe me, I understand what the word integrity means as a former U.S. ARMY officer. He has high standards, that aligned with what I was looking for since I tend to have exacting standards and prefer to work with people of the same caliber. I was not a local customer; I came in from the Lansing area. He was involved every step of the way to ensure my satisfaction was Job #1. I had a few issues on my newly purchased vehicle, but this was one of the places where Todd shined the brightest. He organized resources and ensured the issues were addressed in a timely manner to my standards. Brett Bowman (Finance) was knowledgeable and did a great job answering questions and ensuring I understood things thoroughly. Kevin Gizowski (service advisor) was quick to determine what was going on. He quickly got my vehicle in and addressed the issue in no time at all.This dealership and Todd deserve 5-stars. Ok to start this review off. I gave it four stars because of one reason in particular. Unfortunately my vehicle was a lemon that I got from this dealership. Now I purchased a used 2012 chrysler town and country from the dealership and it worked fantastic. The fatal flaw was that it had a bad transmission.I called the dealership and thankfully they covered it for me. Now I cant say that will happen for everyone, but I got lucky. Also the buying process was amazing, Dale and Matt were the two people who helped me out. Dale being the salesman and Matt being the finance guy. Other then getting a lemon at first I would still say this dealership is a good place. I would maybe recommend purchasing from a dealership in your own city because grand rapids was a bt of a drive for me. All in all though 4 stars.

I showed up for a set appointment with Rick, the used sales manager. I was met at the door by another sales associate, whom I told 3 times I have an appointment scheduled with Rick. Each time I was met with thats my boss, but no explanation as to why he was unable to fulfil my appointment. He told me no one else was available to help me, but he could attempt to juggle me with the client he was currently with. I said forget it, and walked out. After leaving, Audrey, the person whom sent my info to Rick to set up the appointment, attempted to get me back there by claiming she would send someone over from the other building. I denied the attempt, and I am so thankful I did! I ended up driving out to Wayland, to the K & M dealership. I drove away with a beautiful Compass that has less miles and more luxury features, for 2k less than the one I was scheduled to text drive at Courtesy. And I didnt even need an appointment! K & M will have my business for years to come!
