If I could give this store a negative 5 I would the store in reference to is located on 4020 Sam Houston Ave, Huntsville,tx , this store is so trashy , you cant get down the isles because they have boxes everywhere but yet there shelves are always empty , this store is so disorganized is sad ,its a shoplifters Paradise they hang clearance signs and pile stuff on the shelf but yet when you go to purchase it they will tell you its only on select items but yet you dont know what the items are because they are all piled together and the Manager is Rude and dismissive towards you if you have a question she doesnt have time to speak to you even though they have several people working they will only have one cashier and the lines get so long even though the other employees see the line they act like its not their problem. Bottom line if you can find another store to go to do so unless youre a shoplifter then this store is for you

This the The Dollar General on Hwy 15 North in Sumter,SC. Stopped by for a few items and thought I would share how disgusting this store is. You could smell the garbage from the dumpster when you opened your car door. Cashier was playing with their cell phone while customers were in line. All of the clutter in the aisles is a BIG liability as well. I know this has been reported before but nothing has changed.

Store #00765 is the nastiest Dollar General I think I have ever been in.The door spring hinges are broke. The door will hit you if you are not careful.The air conditioning is out. This has been going on for 2 years now.This store is always a mess. The store in Hudson has got to be the saddest excuse for a dollar general and I have been in several I’ve been there for the past two weeks and this is all the time this is not just once or twice occurrence they have all the bins filled up stuffed with things that need to be put on the shelves and the shelves are bare Pretty sad when you can’t get a box of Ritz crackers or toilet paper or cat litter or cat food

Not shy & not apologizing either. Ive worked at store #13056 for a couple of months now. When I first got their I was genuinely excited to come on board. Now I have since realized what is the only thing that matters to the executives at DG. The bottom line aka money. They run freight at exceedingly high volumes. We have those large shipping containers ALL over the back half of the store. The receiving room is over filled. We just got a very extensive remodel. They installed 8 freezer /cooler units. Being that the A/C has not worked in months, we thought the installation crew was going to also fix the A/C. Nope. Two days ago a brand new compressor burned out, completely junk. Why? Because it is so unnecessarily hot. Now they all of a sudden care about fixing the A/C. This company is scandalous. They do not care about their customers. They do not care about their associates.

This is the store on north fist that has been open a couple of years. Whenever it first opened we were thrilled. It gave us a change and we did not have to drive to wally world but over the last year it has went to the dogs.shelves not stocked never any product and if there is it is in containers sitting all over the place. I was passing through Calvin Oklahoma. I stopped at the Dollar General store there. I have been in stores all across Oklahoma. This was the cleanest and best organized store I have ever been in. There were no boxes blocking the aisles. The shelves were well stocked and organized. The employees were also very helpful and friendly. I give this store 100 stars.

The DG on Dalton Pike in Cleveland, TN is pathetic, EVERY SINGLE time we go in there which is at least 3x a wk bc its the closest to us, the shelves are empty, in literally every dept. There are carts stacked with stock sitting everywhere, if u need something & dont feel like running across town to another one then u just have to fend for urself & cart shop thru the stock in boxes. Its ridiculous. If u want to hire me & my husband to come in there & just put the stock up on the shelves then just reply back to this. Matter of fact we would go to all the ones here in our hometown & stock the shelves in every store. As a team we would get it done.

Began using their online service recently and it is a true blessing! Most all of the same products as in store but without the hassle of leaving home lol. They do charge shipping however, its well worth it considering the savings and convenience.

Get with the program, DG! For two years I’ve been complaining about the shelves being empty in stores all over Florida, Georgia and Illinois, and it’s always the same. Last year I was told the store staff weren’t allowed to place orders; that corporate did it based on popularity of items. Is that why the store in Palmetto, Florida was out of garlic powder for ELEVEN weeks! Today I was at the store in Greenville, Illinois. The store is brand new….maybe a couple months old. The smell in the store is horrendous! There were seven empty coolers on a whole wall of ten coolers, and huge containers all over the store. I assume they were waiting to be stocked, but the employees were too busy socializing to actually do that.I have shopped at Dollar General for years, and in that time have seen quality of help, actual stock available, and cleanliness of many stores drop way below acceptable. If your goal is to put yourselves out of business, you’re doing a great job. Family Dollar, here I come!

Was just in Dollar General store 12089 Huge line of people we thought there was only one employee come to find out the employee Ariel’s working all by herself while her manager is in the break room please explain this to me when you have this many customers why is the manager not helping out I don’t care if it’s there lunchtime or not it’s their job!!!! No customer service at all in this place. And besides that they lost a $53 customer due to the fact that he didn’t have his ID with him don’t understand this because he was clearly about 68 years old. So he walked out and left all his groceries I would too good for him.

The store in Terra Alta is a complete disaster! As a former manager of 15 yrs this is the worst of them all! U can NOT go up any isle in the whole store all full of roltainers , Trash , l try to stay loyal but u get signs at door reopen in an hr?? Closed temporarily?? The portersville pa store, as nice as it is to have it so close to my home...they are always out of EVERYTHING! and the price tags on the shelves must be years past because they are NO WHERE NEAR THE ACTUAL PRICE. Im just posting this here because this is what came up for headquaters. Our town is small and our close proximity shopping choices are limited to 2 stores. The dollar general and a small market that closes at 7pm weeknights and whenever they want on weekends so I would think dollar general would want to make this place one of their nicer stores. Ive been to others that are never empty like ours is and have cute displays, this one since day 1 has had buckets on the floor under the holes in the BRAND NEW CEILING. as much money as I spend here, I think Ive paid for a new roof at least 3 times over :(

The store on feild of dreams in port st joe Florida is very nice except the weird old lady that runs the register.... Shes always looking at me very very oddly.... I seen her smoking pot in the parking lot outside few times, and she always looks soooo nervous..... shaking and making mistakes one after another. Customer after customer. Store #10352 is awful. Ever since you did the remodel 6-8 months ago or how ever long ago it was . The shelves stay empty. The pet food section stays empty. The milk and bread sections stay empty. My 85 year old mother went to the store in northern cambria. The clerk checked her out and walked away. My mom asked for a bag and clerk said we dont have any and left my mom standing to try to carry her purchase unbagged to the car. What a piece of work. She should be fired.

Today was a very frustrating day for me! However the crew in Wardensville WV made my day! My car broke down in their parking lot. Little did they know that I was on my way home from a third doctors appointment where I was told that all they could do for me was try to keep me comfortable! I was losing my faith in life that day but they gave me back Faith in People!💝 The cashier let me use her cell to try to get family. I was there for hours with it not looking like anyone was coming? The young man stocking offered to set up a chair and table inside if I was cold. We had snow flurries that day! The cashier found an off work mechanic, the stock man brought up what I needed and opened a line for me! Thanks to all 3 I finally made it home safe! Thanks 💝

Dollar general in Edmore Michigan is disgusting. Dirty bathrooms and there wasn’t one shelf organized anywhere. They had all the merchandise everywhere and mixed on the shelves.You couldn’t shop for a certain item because the shelves were mixed with various items that didn’t belong together. This store is a hot mess. Boxes everywhere!! Nasty,they for sure need new management!!!

My store in Richford vermont has no food itams or bread on shelves. Because you guys do not make your schedule delivery. And keep the employees waiting for the delivery. The floors are nasty.

For reading the only store in Meriden Kansas that is open past 8:00 p.m. They sure have been closing a lot at like 4:00 p.m.. They are supposed to be open until 10:00 p.m. nightly and on the 1st day I guess corporate took over, The people running the store I guess from corporate had bragged 2 people in town that they would be open until 10 that night for the 1st time in a long time. Sad to say I went there at 9:20 to get a soda and the doors were locked. I was not the only person that showed up Between 920 and 930 there were like 4 of us and we honked our car horns and knocked on the door, But yet no one came to the door to unlock it or to clean what had happened For them to lock the doors so early once again. I do hope that Dollar Generals corporate office does get this situation under control and and get the store back open to its normal hours. For some of us who cannot afford to drive into town 12 miles away.. Its hard to go without.

Staff at the stores are friendly, but it seems that corporate HQ has outsourced their customer service jobs to call centers in the Philippines.I checked and found out that Dollar General doesnt any have stores in the Philippines and does not employ these workers directly,The district managers inconsistency for maintaining even minimal stock levels of normal high turnover products is also also be a concern for the local stores. Store managers say the system auto-calculates our order and the district manager is the only one who can over-ride the POS driven reports. Well .... it seems the point of sale register /inventory application lives up to its name because of recurring shortages for several months.

I like shopping at the one in locust Grove out of peebles or the one in Seaman ohio but the other ones in Adams County will not shop there.

Dirty, nasty store!!!Store# 650 - 112 W. 87th St., ChicagoAll of the shopping basket were either filled with items to be stocked on the shelves or broken. Customers had no baskets to shop with. There was only one Cashier on duty, on a memorial day Sunday (5/26/2019), and the other worker, wearing a sleeping bonnet on her hair, only came out to tell the sole cashier that she was getting ready to take a break. The aisles were so cluttery that I could not complete my shopping trip.

In my opinion Dollar General needs to have more healthy food choices. Many of their foods have harmful additives. Many low income people shop there, and it seems to me that they might be slowly poisoned by the additives in the food products, if they shop there on a continuing basis.

I spent $52.00 dollars at the Dollar General #08272 needed to use the rest room was told no because they had cleaned them for the night should have went to Walmart instead.

I was impressed the moment I open the door ,the floors were so clean and the store was so organized. The cashier greeted us .when we entered the store ,which made us feel welcome.. I got my purchase and went to pay and the same cashier waited on us. I asked the cashier if she was the manager and she said yes. I told her this is the cleanest Dollar General I have ever been in and the. friendliest. A customer first impression is when you open the door and it is so clean, most have filthy floors and not a good first impression.

Nothing is put on shelves, food rotting in carts on the floor, items scattered in the aisles and people stepping all over and around all kinds of junk. Leaking who knows what into the coolers and staff DOES NOT CARE about customers, items for sale, cleanliness. etc. 9/3/19 went in to check store again. NO CHANGES HERE. Still a disaster! Open food in cooler, isles littered with trash and other isles you cant even walk through. Health department will definitely be paying a visit soon.

Why is it my local dollar general won’t enforce mask wearing to customers! I will not shop there anymore. A year into a global pandemic and the company won’t stand up for what’s right and make employees enforce it. Was one of my favorite stores but not anymore.

The one here in Dansville, Michigan is stocked and cleaned fairly good, just wish you guys would sell ketchup flavored chips here and also wine and beer. You guys sell big bottles of wine i like but have to drive 20 miles to another store :(

Since none of their stores nearby, only using them for low value items cannot find readily elsewhere, even on Amazon at a reasonable price. Their terms of service for website orders item 29 says in bold print, unlike most major retailers, risk of loss passes to purchaser upon handing of package to delivery carrier and buyer responsible for making any loss or damage claims with the carrier USPS, etc. Glad my small package from them ordered during the height of the Christmas shipping pandemic showed up after 20 days here in VA shipped from their one warehouse outside Chicago.

I Frequently shop at Dollar General on Main St Butler Pa.This store is filthy dirty and the shelves arebare most of the time. I went in yesterday to purchase Air fresheners and cleaning supplies. The choices available were slim to none.. Somebody at the corporate level needs to get with the management at this location and address the issues mentioned in this review.

The store on Lightwood Road in Deatsville, AL is understaffed. The aisles are often blocked with merchandise, the shelves are not properly stocked, and the wait time to check out is ridiculously long. Of the two cash registers, only one is usually operating. Today there were over 25 customers waiting to check out, and only one cash register was staffed. The person in charge was the working cashier. He said the other employee was on break. There should be no breaks when there are this many customers in line waiting to check out.

They leave the carts that are full of stock right in the middle of the aisle and try to run you over with them going down the aisle. Its very dirty and nasty and so are the workers. I love shopping at Dollar General but the one in Durham, NC on Wake Forest Hwy is so dirty, and there is never any of the basic merchandise in stock or household products.

If you buy cereal at a Dollar General check the date had to return two boxes today because the best used date was May of 2020 damn near a year ago and you would think the cashier would have at least apologized nope she had a attitude and acted like we was wrong for returning an expired product. Location on Salem Ave Trotwood, Ohio across from Rally’s.

I just had the most aweful customer service at Dollar General at 2988 East Main Street in Waterbury, Ct. I went to the register to ask for assistance as they had a pack of lysol on there inventory cart. There were no other customer in the store at the time of my request. The Manager was extremely unprofessional and verbally aggressive towards me to the point point where he invaded my personal space and threatened to call the police on me to have my a** removed from the store. No need for the behavior sir, I was a customer simply asking for a product that you have available in the store. What has happened to good customer? The police did arrive and I have filed a complaint. I will be in contact with Dollar General Head Quarters as I would hope this type of manager behavior from their management or staff in general should not be tolerated. I have shopped at this store frequently but they will no longer have me as a customer!!The man(store manager) literally invaded my personal space, in my face threating me. Im am all of 411 and the man had to be over 6ft. I felt so threatened at the point and knew I had to call the cops. I dont understand why he felt that this was the best way to handle the situation. I hate to think that this is actually a corporate run company. You take no pride in the properties you hold nor do you ever inspect or care whether your stores are in order. I can tell you that the stores in Evensville, Wolf reek in Spring City , and the Newest store located off Hwy 30 in Dayton Tn are never organized the staff are rude and disrespectful and there is nothing ever stocked at all. They havent figured out signs on the door that mask are required, plexi-glass and floor markings are not just for employees safety and actually the law. I called corporate because an employee said they cant say anything to anybody not wearing a mask. It isnt a suggestion in my state, its the law. Corporate actually told me they are considered essential and, therefore, allowed to stay open. I get that. News flash...being essential means you didnt lose money and were allowed to stay open. But with that comes certain responsibilities and among those are keeping ALL your customers safe. Especially the ones obeying the law and wearing a mask.

Unable to go in the store after work and purchase what I need. They have workers all at once not spaced out so we can purchase during our comfort time.Very fusterating supposed to be open till 10 pm yet they lock the doors at 6pm.The Karlstad Dollar General is a giant let down for the inability to stay open till at least 12 hours so those of at that work can do our last minuet buys when we get home.

3/30/21 730pm NOT A SINGLE MASK was worn in the Merrifield Store, Mishawaka, IN., store EXCEPT the lone young man behind the counter. I already stopped shopping your McKinley location due to the utter lack of compassion and REPEATED local mandate violations, looks like I have to boycott you completely. I havent stepped into a chik-fil-a or Jimmie Johns in years due to their contributions to conversion therapy and trophy hunters. I can assure you that my intestinal fortitude is strong and you lost my business. Im also reporting you to the local health department because we took video.

I have called for 2 week straight waiting on district manager to call me. Now the number isnt working when they pick up it hangs up. I have been miss treated n threaten by an employee and I want this resolved

Worst customer service!! They have people answering calls, they cant speak english and cant solve it bc they cant understand!!!!!! They need there customer service in the USA were they can find people that can speak ENGLISH!Someone stole my online order and now I cant get my money back. I been calling for hours and is just going in circles! Hate Dollar General!!!

Absolutely amazing that a company can operate like this.. ! Product and rolling delivery carts in the isles, almost EVERY frozen / cold case is empty ? How can they operate like this ? Obviously they don’t notice the 2 Star rating here.. We should have never allowed them to build the store in our remote mountain town.

The store at 18 him springs road off of 36 said no one can use their restroom due to being down bit before we left we had to wait for her to get out of the restroom from using it to cash us out this place should not shut down their restrooms to the public. And not be lying to customers...

I wont go in the store on 29th and May! That store is a wreck! The manager is a spaz! Last visit I had to put everything down and walk out because he was at the cash register slow playing and not worried about me at all! I kept dropping my stuff and I swear I said theyre 20 minutes and he was still in no hurry to get me out of there.

At the location in Dickson Oklahoma, the back of the store is so full of product that no one can fit in there. Nothing is on the shelves because its all in the back just sitting there! This has been goingon for weeks. The town of Dickson is very frustrated.
