This is the cleanest, friendliest, and most well stocked grocery I think I’ve ever been to. I wish this was in my neighborhood, but it’s at least close to my work address. The cashiers are SO friendly, as well as the baggers, even the nice man who cleaned and gave me my shopping cart. I noticed they have a staff that also included quite a few individuals with disabilities, and THAT is a huge added plus. This should be your neighborhood store of choice!

Love this store, its so clean and their produce is always amazing. The ONLY drawback for me is that they dont have much of a seasonal section like a Frys Marketplace.

A little disappointed that they didnt have any canned tea besides Monster Rehab, I was planning on getting some for my friend. Other than that, very nice. I love that its not too crowded so I can get in and out without waiting in line at the self checkout.

Convenient location in Gilbert. Seems to be a medium-sized Safeway from the ones Ive seen. It was actually very quiet on a weekday evening and I loved that. Probably only saw 5 people in there in total.Love how the produce was fresh and lot of healthy produce snacks like yogurt parfaits, smoothies, yummy!They had some issue with the registers but the service people there were very friendly and helpful and within a minute two everything was fixed. One of the cashiers even stood by to make sure my register was working properly.

Friendly and had just what I needed. Not to expensive but within the budget. Not to mention finally some black Forrest gummy worms that my wife craves.

I visited Smiles by Hanna recently. I was surprised that she was requesting info about my sleep. I know sleep apnea is a big thing right now but why is a dentist pushing it? That bothered me right away. Then I saw Hanna and she didnt care so much about my appliance. She just handed it off to an assistant while she tried to sell me on dental implants. I had a CT scan done of my lower jaw and the machine hit my shoulder as it went around me. Hanna acted as though it was my fault, admonishing me not to move the next time. During the CT, the assistant placed cotton pieces in my mouth. In trying to remove them it took several layers of skin and gave me a fat lip. I have to give this office a pretty low rating all in all Im afraid.

Very clean store prices a bit higher then others buy overall a good shopping experience

K usually have good experiences here but today I bought chocolate covered for $10 and I got 6 strawberries that were rotten and had mold on them I am disgusted! If you go there don’t buy there they were located by the flowers.

Three stars might seem a little harsh but, I think my visit earned it. It almost got two however, the young courtesy clerk outside, who asked if he could help load my groceries, because I had a brace on my wrist, was very helpful and polite.I had to buy charcoal and some other things and couldnt find the charcoal. The first two people I asked didnt know where it was. The third person said to try isle 5 but wasnt sure. It was isle five... towards the back, on the left, and on the bottom for anyone else needing to find it.Right after I checked out, I happened to see the Assist. Manager. I told him how it took three people, while asking around the store, to help find it and that I was surprised the employees didnt know where things were. His reply was, Yeah, we dont place emphasis anymore on employees knowing where things are in the store.Thats unfortunate Safeway as your competition, Frys, has a store more customer friendly, and with lower prices, just a mile south of you, and a brand new mega store a little over three miles east of you. Loyalty only gets you so far in retail.

Very friendly staff and helpful.Plenty of stuff and fresh bread and baugette in bakery.Went for vaccination and the pharmacist explained everything clearly and they make you wait for 15 minutes to see if any allergic reaction happens.

Extremely disappointed to see the installation of new automated machines and a reduced number of checkers. I have been driving farther and shopping at this store for years for the main reason of more checkers. This policy literally removes any benefit or reason for me to shop Safeway! Pathetic!

Christmas Day 2016. This Safeway is CLOSED. Looking for last minute baking supplies and Christmas gifts. Google says their Christmas hours are 8am to 5pm. Google also says theyre OPEN NOW. Ive been sitting in the parking lot 20 minutes looking for another store. In that time, Ive seen at least 25 cars drive by the doors wanting to do last minute shopping like me. Its too bad people are wasting their time here. I have better things to do today, but hopefully this review helps someone else on their way to this store today.

Great day shopping....... but there was an advertisement marked incorrectly and the store clerk called the Manager to assist..... that changed my experience a bit. The Managers first words were, Im not even on the clock yet; and then he ignored me and was completely irritated he was called to help. Im thinking, tough day maybe.Putting 2 stars in case this was a one off; but feel that if its not it should be addressed.

Not the Safeway I remember will not go back

Fresh foods, store is clean, well stocked and organized. The florist representative greeted me with a warm welcome when I was in that area. The remainder of my shopping experience was rather quiet. However, other customers were being greeted 😕. My cashier ( Dominic) ended my day well. He was plesant, informative and efficient! Kudos to him for doing what the other staff should have done.

I feel bad I wasnt as prepared for my dinner and the employees had to work Christmas. Everyone wS in a cheerful atmosphere. Thank you.

Cashiers and baggers are friendly and courteous. Produce is usually excellent as are meats and fish. Store is always clean.

Just went for a air pressure check. Had to wait a few minutes, before someone came out to assist. Once the young man arrived, the service was great.

Dont bother bringing fed ex drop offs here if you can help it. Jenny at the counter was not only super rude but isnt helpful answering questions or giving any help at all. Theres a ups store next door that is super friendly and very helpful in comparison. Theres zero need to be rude to people.

I brought a issue of a broken safety seal on a yogurt I purchased and discovered when returning home, informed the store manager May 2 approximately 7pm of the issue and we were concerned for people’s safety and I felt he was very belittling and wanted little to do with our concerns.My wife mentioned we are in the store almost daily and spend over a hundred per visit, he immediately replied we have customers who spend a thousand?This was a very poor experience and totally inexcusable.

My son bought several under armor drinks and one of the drinks was missing. The cashier didnt even say anything, he looked right at it. Also quite a few people even a manager who wasnt wearing a mask. The manager had it around his chin. What is the point of that, Im still recovering from when I had covid months ago. You might lose customers.

At least half of the customers were not wearing masks.

This is a small Safeway, but its really well organized. They have special places reserved for takeout and all of the good takeout food is arranged together and easily found. Plus they have staff who is actually available to help you..

My favorite thing to get is their breakfast sandwich. You get to pick all the ingredients and they heat it up. You cant beat the price.

My safeway app say I have a free salad dressing..So I went there for grocery shopping..There was no open nature dressing..Show cashier my app..She say they were out and didnt offer a replacement! Also went there for $.25 watermelon, they dont have that too. False Advertisement! Waste my time shopping there!

I have never been to a nicer grocery store. I went to this location on a whim and was blown away by how nicely organized and clean this store is. The produce section is amazing and all of the fruit and vegetables are incredibly fresh. Every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. There are at least 6 grocery stores within 5 minutes of my house, but I will still drive 30 minutes to go to this specific safeway from now on.Edit: I may have been a little hasty with my initial 5 star review from my first visit, Ive been back to this location several times and my experience was mediocre at best.

We shopped in the Safeway store today on Val Vista Drive, and aside from the store being clean and well stocked.. we can’t help but give the butcher Chris Lopez a proper shoutout! He was unbelievably helpful! We have been looking for boneless skin-on chicken thighs for about 2 months... we ask the meat department/butchers in every store we go into, and no one ever has them. Chris immediately offered to remove the bones from a large prepackaged pack of chicken thighs. We’ve never had a butcher offer to do that for us, and we’ve even asked in other Safeway stores. We can’t wait to finally try the recipe that we needed these for, and are so grateful that Chris went above and beyond his normal everyday job requirements to help us out with this. It’s a small thing, but it was very appreciated. Thank you Chris Lopez! :)
