Mary and her coworker were more than helpful while I shopped around the store. This was my second time at this location and each time was equally satisfying. I went in to pick up my La Mer product and was helped by Mary who gave wonderful suggestions for other products to try. If you need a place to go with pleasant, knowledgeable, and overall great employees this is the place for you!!

Blue Mercury is a great place to be. The one at the Rio is small but it is packed with everything you need for your makeup and skincare needs. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to products you need. They literally had all the NARS makeup i needed for an event and they personally helped me find a concealer plus a powder for my dark circles that actually worked! This is my go-to for makeup before I search for it anywhere else. Keep up the amazing work you guys!

Incredibly rude staff and absurdly overpriced merchandise, which can be found much more cheaply at Sephora down the street at Downtown Crown. I wouldn’t normally post a negative review in such hard times, but this place is a racket. Run!

Incredibly horrible service. We felt discriminated by the two white older women that were working. They immediately treated us like we were about to steal something. Watching us every move, being verbally rude and condescending. Don’t waste your time going to this place.

Walked into the store saw two ladies talking behind the counter . Nobody acknowledged me when I walked in and to the time I was ready to go to the counter. I am African American and I know this store isn’t for my skin because of the makeup that was displayed I still expect my questions to be answered. PUT BATH AND BODY WORKS BACK.

Lousy customer service. Tried to chat with someone named Kalila on their website. Asked her to please help me stop receiving so many emails. Told me she couldnt do that - that everyone needed to receive surveys afterwards. She also said that I didnt have an account, even though I had placed two BlueMercury orders in the last month. Then she disconnected me at five minutes after 9:00, because thats when BlueMercury closes and she wanted to leave work. Sorry, Im done with these guys

Yesterday I needed to buy facial cleanser. After reviewing many cleansers on Blue Mercury, I came across the reviews about this super amazing esthetician, Michael, at the Blue Mercury store at Rio in Gaithersburg, MD. Thinking to myself this is good to know for future reference as I would be needing a facial. After work I went to purchase a cleanser. After browsing and just getting a few samples of cleansers, I see a young man fetching someone for a facial. I immediately went and asked if he was Michael and so it was. I immediately asked if I could book an appointment for a facial and the only available time that accommodated my schedule and his was an hour from that moment. Ladies and gentleman, all I can say is WOW WOW WOW!!!!! The best and I mean the best facial I have ever gotten in my 52 years. Michael was first and foremost so polite, knowledgeable beyond belief from what products to use on me to giving suggestions about my personal skincare needs, to diet, to giving me a massage that took me to another dimension. My skin looked so pristine and firm that I cannot wait to have my next facial with Michael. Truly blown away with Michael and his magical hands. You will not regret booking with him. Go ahead and treat yourselves. Totally worth every minute. THANK YOU MICHAELL!!!!!!!!

I called the store today at 3 pm and spoke with Tracy. I asked her if they carried Nars foundation and she told me yes. I arrived to your store at 5:15 pm only to find that the store was closed and there was a sign on the door that read, “back in 30 mins.” I waited until 6:10 pm and no one showed up. It’s Sunday, August 5th and the store closes at 6 pm.Not only is this unprofessional, it is a complete waste of my time. I came to this store because it is closer to home. I could have traveled a few minutes further to Nordstrom, Ulta or Sephora. However, I chose to patronize this establishment.Now I am frustrated and without a product that I needed tomorrow morning. You lost customer!!Please note: There were 3 other woman waiting. Ridiculous!!

The Worst Blue Mercury in the area, ladies who work here seem very snobby, rude and unprofessional... You are scanned up and down when u walk in the store, and if u came in with your gym clothes on and without an expensive purse or a watch on ur hand, you most likely won’t get much attention from them, they seem extremely judgmental and you can feel the negative energy in the store, it’s very uncomfortable... Me and my friend have been shopping at Blue Mercury for years and some stores are better then others, Bethesda location is pretty good, but this one is awful... Last week I went to return something I have bought online and the manager of the store had charged me again for the item that I was returning actually... I wouldn’t even realize it if I haven’t checked my credit card statement... I was in a shock!!! I mean if the manager can make such a mistake, I’m speechless!!! Super horrible customer service... Stay Away!!!

When i first arrived at the store the cashier kept staring at me and watching me, it made me feel very uncomfortable. I felt very unwelcome especially when workers were discussing how the store was already closing ( they kept staring at me and my friend) but there was about an hour left till closing time.
