Everyone I encountered at this store were friendly and helpful. Tom in the tool rental was exceptional. I rented an auger and he (respectfully) taught me how to put it together and use it. Jeff helped me load it into my car and he was so helpful. I love home Depot And Frederick is lucky to have 2 great locations

The cashier at the store in Frederick, MD on Mcain Dr deserves a raise, her name was Heather (White lady w/black hair). My husband and I purchased tons of items for remodeling our new home and there were a few issues with the checkout machines. My husband and I are on the same credit card and I scanned some items while he scanned others. He checked out before me and my card declined. My husband was furious since we were there for so long. Turns out our credit card thought the card was being used fraudulently. She offered to apply me for a Home Depot card to check out my items, which I did. She had to rescan everything and although my husband was being rude, it didn’t faze her not one bit. She was so focused (and fast) on getting our transition done that I was super impressed. I experienced the best customer service at a Home Depot ever this go around!

I left another Home Depot feeling a bit frustrated because the water softener that showed was in stock was not. I arrived at the one on route 40, was able to find it easy and headed to checkout.The reason I’m writing this review is 100% based on the experience I had with “Riley.” As I was waiting to be checked out I heard Riley thank the customer in front of him for his service (based on his hat). When it was time for me to checkout, Riley asked if we would like to sign up for the Home Depot Credit Card to which I replied we would be putting our purchase on the card. He thanked us for having the card and being a loyal Home Depot card holder. Riley was even able to double check that we were able to get the right salt for our softener. Please give this young man some kudos, he is 150% the definition of phenomenal customer service.

The HD on the Golden Mile (McCain Dr. Off Rt 40) has a very young staff. All of them are willing to look up inventory on their phone but only about 1 in 3 in my experience understand the department well enough to have a discussion about what is the best use of your money for your project. The store is clean things are stocked in the right places and check out was quick. There is also a large number of willing hourly workers standing out at the end of the parking lot 7 days a week. I cant speak to anything about them because Ive never used them.

Always a great experience. My favorite place to visit. Rates up there with the grocery store and the liquor store.

This is the Home Depot to avoid in Frederick. Today, as one example, I went there 10 minutes after they opened and the store manager/shift supervisor was still giving the morning speech. I heard enough of it to know that she likes the sound of her voice. I walked through the meeting and waited a the paint counter for 10 minutes and then left and no service. They knew I needed help as I asked someone where the paint counter was and they yelled out to the group for someone in charge of paint to help me. When I go to the south Frederick store at opening, they are all ready to help and not stuck in a longwinded meeting.

For todays trip, this home Depot had it all going on. The workers inside were able to point me towards the shop vacuums, and they had a very nice selection. I was able to find what I needed and I did it so quickly that I had a little time to browse Palm sanders. I did get the shop vac, but not the palm sander. But the price was good the service was good and I was very happy with the amount of time needed in the store. Location of this particular store was also very good for me as well. Very much worth the trip two thumbs up.

I really like their exceptional customer. I go there for all my household DIY projects. All the staff interactions Ive had, have been great from them knowing exactly where an items located to them finding someone in a specialty department to assist me with an order or purchase. Most of the staff members I see are alway happy to be working there as well as helping out their customers.

The paint department at the Home Depot on McCain Drive, Frederick. was extremely helpful in choosing the right paint and stain for multiple projects in my 100 year old house over the last several years. They are always extremely courteous and professional.

Google claims I was here recently, I was not. If you need cheap labor then this is your place to go. The parking lot is always full of individuals willing to take on on a job.

I love home Depot but I have to check with my super first to see if I can put a toilet toilet in my bathroom cuz I live in a townhouse and I dont know if I could replace it but I bought two of them about 2 months ago for the house out here in Frederick and I love them

They had friendly staff who were open to giving assistance! My recommendation is that if you are unsure of what you are looking for — know what you need! If you are making a repair, know the spec! Know the size of what you’re doing, or even an approximate! I watched an employee with great patience trying to help a customer who had no clue what it was she wanted. He was patient and tried to get details, but ultimately was unable to help her because there were too many unknowns that contributed to what it was she needed! Be conscious of your time and the employee’s! It’s not fair to them to grow frustrated when they are unable to help because of your lack of foresight.

Today at 5:25 pm, I called to speak with Michael from Kitchen department. Someone answered the main Home Depot line and said they would transfer me to the kitchen department. When the man answered I said Michael and he said assertively that it was “plumbing”. I said oh the person I spoke to said they were transferring me to Kitchen. The man explained to me that Michael was not in. In the middle of me asking if anyone else could help me the man in plumbing hung up on me. I think I’ll choose another company to remodel my kitchen.

I like HD stores in general. Most of the times I visit a store I find what Im looking for. Also the personal is very helpful when need any help. Still there could be some improvements to be done. The logistics could be probably improved in merchandise shelf ordering for easier finding - it might be good idea to have a store map schematics at the entrance or some sort of an electronic navigator about merchandise locations in the store.

Tyler and Dominic’s customer service and patience this afternoon to my husband and I was beyond the call of duty. These two men are keepers :-). Thank you Dominic and Tyler for your help today.So we bought a gazebo that came in a long and heavy box. Loading the the gazebo into our van was a challenge. Tyler was patience yet very determined to help us get the gazebo onto the van. He tried several options before finally getting everything loaded onto the van. All this was done with respect, kindness and no complains. Dominic was keeping it light with jokes and laughter.We came all the way from Clarksburg and may drive there again because of Tyler and Dominic’s Services. Everyone else was very kind and nice in the store as well. Thank YOU

This is a decent home depot location - mainly due to tool rentals. Also, always seem to be busy and seems like you can usually get help when you need it. Kind of a crowded parking lot but still good.

Home Depot has lost an order. According to their FedEx tracking number on their website, they cannot give the correct address to FedEx for their West Frederick facility. Their telephone people will hang-up on you repeatedly, or put you on hold without being able to express the issue fully. This is totally unsatisfactory customer service provided to me. This started at 10:28 AM and lasted through 1:29 PM today 4/9/21.

Picked up a curb side delivery of boxes. Lady was very nice and polite.

So I was have an extremely hard and low day and had to pick up something. I needed help and someone to go the extra mile to help me, especially on a day like today. And I encountered a young gentlemen that was extra nice and helpful, but also courteous and professional without being pushy. I intended to give him credit and recommend him by name, but must admit Ive forgotten his name in the mist of chaos of life. And now I feel kinda bad for forgetting his name. It started with an S. I wish I could do something nice for him and a couple other people who helped me while I was in the store. Idk buy them lunch or something. Might have to go back and do so when timing is better. If anyone goes there and encounters him let him know that his kindness is not unnoticed.

We love the West Frederick Home Depot. We moved here just under a year ago and have been so impressed with how pleasant, friendly, and helpful the associates are. We do curbside pickup and its been a fantastic experience every time - they are quick to fill our orders and they never leave anything out or forget an item. Every time we call the store, whether to track an update on an order or to ask a question, the associate is friendly and goes above and beyond. We love this store because of the people who work here!

Wow. Im very impressed. Ive worked hardware retail for over 20 years and the experience was absolutely delightful. I was helped by multiple employees in a few different departments. I got the know-how and everything I needed was in stock. Love that they keep one register ran by a person as its a major part of the customer care experience. Ill be back soon without a doubt. Store was fine and the employees were helpful & professional. The new corporate policy of not accepting a MD drivers license with Veteran endorsement to receive a veterans discount will have me shopping elsewhere from now on. Apparently, the State of MD saying Im a veteran isnt good enough for Home Depot, they now require a special ID off their approved list. Thankfully, there are other options to choose from...

6/1/2021My friend and I went to home depot in Frederick MD. We both have used this store and lowes for years.Now that we are both widows, we are trying to do home projects our selfs. Very hard to find someone to hire. We found Candace!!!! She is fabulous, she stopped and asked us if we need help. She asked questions about my friends project then walked us around to show us options, in the end we decided on rental for her needs. It was so great to find a person who took time to help us. I dont go to lowes anymore and its in my town of Waynesboro PA, because they are rude and unhelpful. So I drive Frederick MD. We hope Candace will alway be there when we need her.

Been working on second bathroom and home depot can do it all day long.

I depend on Home Depot for a lot of my DIY projects. Theyre pretty good about online ordering and in-store or curbside pickup, at least regarding manufactured items. Lumber or wood products are another story. Basically you must personally sift through lumber/wood to find acceptable pieces. If you take delivery you run the risk of getting the culls from the in-person shoppers. I dont know why the HD staff wont eliminate the junk, but its always there. Also, real inventory doesnt always match the on-line inventory. Nothing like driving into town to get that must have item the App shows on the web, only to find its out of stock. Overall Im pretty happy with Home Depot and their system, they just need to work out the kinks.

Had a great experience , even for 2020. 😀 I went to buy a refrigerator. I had already been to another store and came with a price match in mind. I walked into the appliance area and happened to find Jim(bo) from the garden department in the area and asked him to help me. I had no idea until later he was MOD and key holder because he never mentioned it until the end when he needed to do a price adjustment. He helped with the entire process even after finding the appliance employee which was also very helpful as well. And they both assisted me to get the fridge I wanted at the price I wanted. It was a pleasure - even in an appliance shortage....of 2020. 😎

It was ok the pricing is a little bit higher then Lows sorry to say. But some things are ok.

Workers dont know much usually, or generally try to avoid customers. When you do catch one, you might get point towards the aisle you need, if youre lucky.

Even on a busy Saturday Hardware Bob is helpful.

Never hurts to ask cant find something, can also use the Home Depot app comes handy also when you are in a rush. Its set. App has the ability to tell you what location its going to be at.For example. The shot vacuum was located near the plumbing location Which was #6&7 for plumbing. ( Locations may change)

Just get out of the with the manager Allen very rude, he didnt want to help me with a Dewalt deal. Beside when I asked to talk to someone else and nicer, he laughed and said, I am the manager.

Returned one item (bought more than I needed); bought two items; & they do not carry the last item I was looking for. Pleasant staff at the returns counter. While I was walking around an employee actually stopped, made eye contact, and asked if I needed help finding anything! A good trip overall.

I was greeted nicely walking into the store, it was neat and organized, parking was easy.The workers were sitting at their desks, watching people, walking around or conversating with each other. They did not seem to want to work. This was the worst Home Depot experience ever. I dont like going to Home Depot, its too masculine Lol.. so I count on getting in and out of the store easily with the help of the workers. This did not happen and I walked up and down the whole store several times for a couple of items. Where was the kind courteous help I was used to getting? Check out was easy and the worker at the register was nice, so was the heavy guy in the washing machine section.

James with glasses in the tool rental needs to be removed from customer service. Heres why...I simply came in to rent a steam vacuum. Went to the rental place and an older gentleman with glasses was working on 9.25.20 at 5:58pm and he by far has one of the worst customer service attitudes. I first asked Hi, Im looking for a steam vacuum. where can I find one? He brushed me off so I asked about 4 more times until he replied On the wall....really? How about can you show me. Then, I saw a steam vac online for upholstery and asked if they have one and he replied I dont know. Again...really? You work here and you cant help me nor know anything. Then I asked I need a steam vacuum for small areas for like pet messes and he replied Well, I dont know and I dont have a pet ....Again...you dont have to have a pet to know the supplies in your little tool rental place.Then a white female approached him and his whole persona changed and was friendly. Then it was my turn to check out. I paid and just wanted to leave...went to open the door and the buzzer made a noise. I went back with the last ounce of friendliness I had and asked Can we exit out of this door? His reply Well.......I pushed the buzzer looks like you didnt make it. Never coming back. Not pulling the race card but he sure was friendly to the white lady but not to my brown skin. Only time, I wanted to just throw some curse words out. Never coming back and I hope I see him and he gives me the same attitude when I return it because I do have some positive constructive things to say back smh

My experience is friendly and knowledgeable staff they go out of their way to help you and they do know what they’re talking about as long as you make sure you’re asking the right person. LOL

Made an order, it was for in store pick-up (took over 2 weeks) and I receive an email saying its in the store and ready. Get to tk the store, and no one can find it or have any clue where it is. They pretty much told me oh well, its not here horrible service all around from this location.

Like Home Depots everywhere this is a home owners mental playground where ideas may come to fruition and dreams are a checkout away! The only challenge with this store is that they may not happen as quickly because the store is smaller than the others and doesnt keep as large of an inventory. They can order what you need, call another store to check their inventory, or you can go to its big brother Home Depot on Buckeystown Pike. Very polite and courteous staff, some senior employees really know their stuff and can provide great direction, management is on point, and what they do stock is usually in stock. More than fair prices and a great variety of items offering a working man/womans price range up to the richer persons wallet. Ultimately, with the exception of building an underground bunker, just about all of your home care needs may be taken care of here! Single sealed drinks and snacks sold here, handicapped accessible, parking lot is a bit annoying, but if you have questions you can call because they will actually answer their phone!!!

I am not happy at all with my experience today at Home Depot. The one on 40 in Frederick will not let me return my charger that I got two months ago and all the sudden it doesnt work no more and I cant find my receipt for it cuz I paid cash. She said she couldnt find it in the system I do believe their serial numbers on them products.

Smells, feels, and is your normal Home Depot with experts and amateurs who can show you around the place really thoroughly. The people were kind and also kept 6ft apart even if it might have been inconvenient which was really nice.

Like many others stores, sadly, Home Depot may have signs up to social distance and to wear face masks, but they do nothing to actually make shopping safe. Many people walking around with no face masks on, and even employees with their face masks below their noses. Out of all the stores we went to today, only Lowes seems to be making an effort.

Its a typical Home Depot.....using their Behr paint products for a project. During weekdays, Ive had no problems. On weekends, Ive found them understaffed, in particular, the paint dept. Be prepared to be patient at the busy times.

Picked up some nuts and bolts for a project at work and the associate was helpful and attentive

My opinion of Home Depot has been peaked and waivered over the years. They came around in the early 90s and put Hechingers (remember Hechingers?) out of business. After that, the variety of tools and hardware seemed to wane. Their customer service took a hit as well. But I must admit things have improve greatly over the last couple of years (at least as far as the service is concerned) and lets face it, where else are you gonna go?

I liked that they dont bug you and let you look around, they have a LOT of various items, it is difficult finding help though.

Had to wait 45 minutes to get a gallon of paint. There was 7 people in line and only one associate helping. I called the store while in line and asked for a manager. I told who was one the phone that they needed help in paint and they said ok. I was 7 employees walk by, all of them looked at the the, but no one ever can to assist that one employees. Not great or even mediocre customer service.
