Ive used Dons Appliance in the past with good results but was shocked when I called today to set up a service call and the secretary refused to let me set up an appointment or speak with the owner. I mentioned its an older machine and appears the belt may need replacing because it smoked when the machine went into the wash cycle. She mentioned she doesnt know anything about appliances but they would not repair it because i attempted to find the source of the smoke. I told her I used a flashlight, I didnt touch a part. Again I was told by the secretary they will not work on because I tried to locate the problem myself. I explained I made no attempt to fix anything. I didnt move the machine, touch any wires etc. I just ran it through the wash cycle to see when the smell started and looked for smoke with a flashlight.. I thought this would be helpful, in the past the repairman would ask me these questions. Again in a somewhat rude manner she stated we will not service the appliance. I mentioned to several friends that used him in the past and they too were surprised by the secretarys response.

First, I called and spoke to a lovely lady. She made an appointment the very next day. Said they’d be there between 8-12.Don showed up at 10:30am. He figured out what was wrong within a few mins. He explained why and what needed fixed. Went and picked up the part and my washer was completely repaired by 1:00pm. Will always use Don for any repairs needed for my appliances.Thanks again Don.

I cannot say enough good things about Dons. We called and left a message two days before Thanksgiving (we left the message around 9pm) Dons mom called us back at 8am the next morning, and she was polite, friendly, and patient while I tried to find the model of my refrigerator. She explained everything to me and scheduled the appointment right away. By 9am, Don was here to look at my refrigerator.He took one look and knew exactly what was wrong. He had the part on his truck and was able to repair it right away. During the repair I was making Thanksgiving dinner (prep), and we chatted back and forth. He was nice and we had a great conversation.The repair went quickly, and our freezer runs great now. The price was much lower than I expected, too. Honestly, if one of your appliances breaks down, dont rush out and replace it. Give Dons a call and let them fix it- professionally, with friendly service!

Dons Appliance did work for one of my companies on a regular basis. Out of nowhere the receptionist called me and said that they would no longer service our calls because they could not understand one of my employees (he is Hispanic) I said I had no problem with relaying information if it made it easier, she said no I have to do what Don wants and that is to not do your service calls I asked her why was Don being discriminatory and racist? She hung up on me. I called her back, she picked up then hung up. This might end up in the Attorney Generals Office

I have used Don for years for multiple different appliances including my washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, and refrigerator. He is always professional, does a great job, and is very reasonably priced.

Said my compressor was gone and not worth repairing. Told me to replace my frig and left it taken apart after breaking my back cover. After cleaning the coils and running diagnostics myself, it has worked great. Almost cost me $2000 for no reason. Never use them.

My washing machine broke last night, going into a weekend. Wasn’t sure if it could be repaired or not, but I️ felt very confident after speaking with Don’s mother. I️ almost spent $600-800 on a brand new machine! Don was out within an hour of my call that SAME DAY and fixed the repair right away costing me $105. I️ am so thankful that I made the call and am very confident on using their services in the future. Please don’t hesitate...Thanks Don and Mrs. Johnson... you have made my day :)

Very upset and disappointed. Here 5 min and didnt fix the problem. 88.00 service call. Dont recommend.

Very disappointed with the experience with this company. Both interactions on the phone were very off putting with the receptionist and after being 5 minutes late for our appointment window, Don would no longer respond to phone calls. I then called back to re-schedule & apologize but was greeted yet again by rudeness. Both of our families have used this company for years and will all not be using them in the future.
