I cant say enough good about Steve and the whole crew at Tuffy! I found this shop about 12+yrs ago and I havent taken my car(s) anywhere else since then. Every single time I have had any kind of issue come up with my car, I simply stop in and Steve will always fix it right then or make an appt for the very next day. I stopped in on a Monday after my dad noticed that my tires were dangerously worn and Steve would not let me leave and insisted that I leave the car so that he could ensure it was safe to drive again. They were able to replace all 4 tires that very day and within a short time I was driving away on 4 new tires! Needless to say, I have had nothing but impeccable service and would highly recommend Steve and his team to anyone that needs a reputable and reasonable auto shop. I think it says a lot that a young woman can feel comfortable that theyre not being ripped off by an auto shop too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great service from Chris at Tuffy. These guys are honest and did really good work. I received an estimate from another shop for brakes, struts, and shocks and Chris beat it. He kept me informed as the work progressed and was able to explain everything that needed to be done. All work was completed the same day. Went to these guys after a bad experience with a different shop. After having my tire pressure light still on even after spending $500 to have all 4 sensors changed and being told it would go out after driving 30 miles (and driving way more than that), I was frustrated. Steve was quick to tell me what should be done but that I shouldnt have to pay Tuffs to fix the issue the other shop should fix free of charge. Which immediately sold me on Tuffs. They took care of the problem for a very fair price and were always up front about the issue.I am new to town and grateful to have found an honest shop and am looking forward to bringing them my business from here on out. They are very good service automatics. I have been going to them for 5 years every since I purchased my car. They have treated my car very well. They let me know what needs to be done and give me the opportunity to get the money if I dont have it at the time. I wouldnt take my to no one else. I tell my family and friends, but they say it is to far for them. So they have more issues.

I’m a 20 year old kid from NY, not to sure about which places to go down here yet for my car. I went to tire choice because of a low pressure signal my car displayed on the dashboard. I needed an oil change so I let them do that and went about by day. The guy called me at tire choice an hour later and said that the nail in my tire was to close to the side wall and that he was going to put a new tire on my car. I wasn’t to sure what to do so i asked if I could come down there and see the nail before they put a 200$ tire on my car. As I got down there the nail was nowhere NEAR the sidewall they were trying to scam me and thought I would have no idea. I went down the road to tuffys and my problem was fixed for 10$. They told me that TIRECHOICE does that to everyone. For now on TUFFYS will be my go to place when I need anything for my car

Perfect diagnosis and excellent work. Id gone to walmart for an oil change and tire rotation and ended up having a bit of a wobble in my car. Ive been using Tuffys for a few years now and have always been very satisfied with the work done. I had the power steering fixed on my car and a short while later it was acting up a bit. I took it back in, they found the problem and there was no charge. They stand behind their work and go the extra mile to locate hard to find parts.Recently my daughter, who lives half way across the country called because she took her Honda Odyssey in to the Honda dealer where she lives because it suddenly started to shake. They told her it would be a $3200 fix. The information she was getting from the Honda shop in Kansas didnt sound right so she called and talked it through with her dad and I. We were at a loss as how to help her. I decided to go to Tuffys and talk to Steve. He was very helpful looking information up, listening to the problem and callling the Honda shop to help figure out what was happening. Long story short my daughter picked up her van and had it fixed else where saving her thousands of dollars. Thanks Steve!

Ive been over to Tuffys with minor issues to my vehicle and more recently assisted one of my friends who needed other repairs on her vehicle. The guys over there are honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable, and from this reviewers perspective have my respect. In this day and age of unscrupulous repair shops I believe these guys give the straight goods. They are courteous and respectful of ones time, and their prices from what I can tell are reasonable and fair. They give options related to repairs and do look out for the customer when costs escalate. Highly recommended for service, albeit they are a very busy shop.

I have been a customer of this Tuffy location for years because of the excellent level of service I receive every time I go there. There is no other mechanic for me. Steve, the shop manager, consistently goes beyond what’s expected, not only when it comes to price, but also with accommodations for me related to schedule and rides to work. The integrity of each person who has done service for me at this location has been excellent! The work that has been done for me (replacing transmission, motor, countless oil changes, brakes, air conditioning, radiators, several sets of tires) has always been quality, guaranteed! I came in to simply get some muscle help removing my two license plate screws because I couldn’t get them and I had just moved to Florida and didn’t know anyone, no family or friends yet. I stopped in and they ‘tried for a minute’ then told me that I would need to make an appointment and it would take an hour to drill them out and probably about $100. 2 days later I happen to see another garage and gave it a chance to see if they’ll do it for free. It took him 2 minutes and he told me how loose they already were... he used a crew driver and an adjustable wrench. He also then gave me 2 new screws for free. He refused a tip and wouldn’t take any money for this. Sean’s total car care saved me $100!! I will never even consider Tuffy Tire again for anything I need done on my car because clearly they’re all about money.

The manager Steve is really bad. Wanted me to agree beforehand to do whatever he recommends and refused to work on my car when I wouldnt. Well last time they got the diagnosis wrong and would have cost me an extra $700 down the drain so no Im not gonna agree before he looks at the car that were on the same page. I think these guys, or at least the manager just want easy money and gullible customers. They just hook up the computer and replace whatever part it says. And the manager Steve has an abrasive and difficult personality. I think the staff have problems with him too.So heres the whole stofy. They got the diagnostics wrong my last visit, said I needed a new compressor. Ok fine they made a mistake no biggie i brought it somewhere else and it turns out I just needed a new radiator fan problem solved. But I figured I could still use Tuffy for a straight-forward repair. So I schedule them to replace my fuel filter. Manager Steve calls and says that after the last incident he wants to make sure were on the same page I tell him last time they were wrong ... he cuts me off and says he respectfully declines to repair my vehicle.

I am not a car guy so finding a mechanic you feel you can trust can be a daunting task. I was referred to them by a neighboring shop who has a history with them. They have exceeded all of my expectations in all my dealings with them. Another mechanic was surprised by what a great price I was given.for my break job. Last night my car had issues and had to leave it at work as I deemed in undrivable. I called them this morning just trying to figure out how to get it there.. see if they had a tow company they could recommend. Nick told me to explain the problem and he personally came down with another mechanic, looked at my car and took it to the shop himself. This is truly going above and beyond the call of duty. They have earned a loyal customer and will be recommending their services to anyone with car problems.

Been going here for 3 years for my 05’ Ford Explorer. Great service, but when I compared my 3 years of invoices to other car shops, I realized that they are expensive. They easily charge 20% more than most competitors. Quick and good service? yes.Cheap? Absolutely not.

I dont usually write reviews but this shop deserves one.I had a quote from another shop and not only did Steve beat the quote but my car has ran better and smoother than it has in a while. Steve is seems to be a very honest guy and made sure to go out of his way to make sure that he is upfront about everything that he does. It is obviously important that having a good reputation is important to Steve and his crew.It is a very busy shop for a reason but he still gets things done in a timely manner.I would highly recommend Steve and his employees to anyone.

I read the bad reviews first and all seem to be miscommunications because whenever I go there Nick and Steve always help me. They do say it may cost me but they want to clarify that they cannot predict what will happen while taking things apart. Initially they told me my repairs could be expensive. Nick said he would help me no matter what. The repair went smoother than projected and he took 3 hours off the labor portion of the bill, and the unnecessary parts were not installed saving me even more. Steve said that although the car is running good now, I should keep up on my Maintenance. I plan on changing items on my car like the radiator hoses that arent necessarily required but Nick taught me the importance of being proactive in car maintenance. I really appreciate the honesty and the different scenarios that the repair might entail. People just seem to forget that automotive repairs can be unpredictable. If they quote you any price its worst case scenario. Most the time the repair is cheaper than expected! Nick and Steve are by far the best in the industry. I have lived in all different places in the country and they are hands down the best.

The guys here have always been so polite and helpful, walking me through the steps taken, and helping me understand what my vehicle needs and why things cost what they do. I’m moving to Colorado in the coming Spring, and I can honestly say I’m going to miss this place, and this team’s integrity.Always will recommend this garage!

I brought these guys my Jeep Wrangler. Lost brake fluid, low brake pressure, no rear brakes. Saw brake fluid on inside of left rear tire. Obviously the left rear wheel cylinder had blown a seal. I told them the symptoms, and that I had recently replaced the right wheel cylinder and had the same symptoms when it had gone bad. They looked at my Jeep, and found all these other problems other than the one I had brought it in for, and insisted it all needed fixed. They then insisted that my wheel cylinder was fine, and that the issue was my front brakes. They convinced me to replace the front brakes, rotors and all, for 525$. They gave me my Jeep and told me they had driven it to test it. The moment I got in my Jeep the brake fluid leaked out again and I lost my rear brakes. I replaced my left rear wheel cylinder on my own in less than a couple hours, really easy, bled the brakes, problem solved. Part cost me 33$. These guys ignored me when I told them what was wrong and had me pay 525$ to fix something that wasnt broken instead. If they cant make an easy diagnosis - and the customer is right about what needs fixed.. and these pros are that far off.. something wrong here. Plus they insisted that my diagnosis was incorrect.. when it wasnt. Thieves.

Went to this place thinking they would give me an over priced quote and not really know what the problem was and boy was I wrong. These guys saved our weekend. We were on our way to Miami from Tampa and had tire issues. They closed at 6pm we got there after hours and they helped us with great new tires at a discounted rate. Would recommend them to anyone!

Unlike many, I am a year round resident of the area. Last summer I had 2 tires I needed mounted that I bought online, walked in and got them done for $25 each same day no problem. Today (mid snow bird season) I do the exact same and am confronted with a terrible attitude and told it was cost a minimum of $40 per tire, can be done sometime next week possibly. Very disappointing knowing prices and service are relative to how busy they feel. When they’re not busy the service was fine and the staff was pleasant.PS, went down the road to a non-chain tire shop and got it done within the hour for $15 per tire.

Very honest guys! I started bringing my car to them 5 years ago when I moved to the area and Im glad I was able to find a straightforward mechanic, that didnt want to just take my money. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for an honest place to bring your car.
