It was a fun experience finding this hidden coffee stop. The service was great and the coffee and food amazing. The vibes are very chilled and the mood is just right to spend the whole afternoon here. Bathroom was clean and I loved the outdoor terrace. Parking was free and the location easy to find. Recommend it!

Last of the bohemian venues-please don’t expect a mega Starbucks environment-or you will be disappointed. If you are appreciative of younger vibrant people discussing politics, watching movies and reading old used books among kooky lamps and old chairs you will love it. Reminds me of the old Greenwich village days. Friendly staff and great large coffees including decaf.

We stopped my in the middle of the day during the week and were the only ones there. Our drinks were very good and the service was good as well. Theres a lot to look at and take in but its really for a younger crowd I guess (Im going on 50). I would have liked a better selection of books and games and maybe neaten the place up a bit. Overall, an interesting stop.

This place is off the chain cool TV going with cartoons outdoor outdoor patio looks like it’s for smoking but not sure the vibe here was amazing got there about 7 o’clock only a few people on there and then it got very busy then emptied out a little bit and I wondered why they were having a comedy show in another room they do it a couple times a month I will be looking for it next time oh I forgot to mention the coffee that I hadThe grasshopper wow delicious

Although technically above ground, and by above I mean on the second story of the building, underground’s sports a cool original and strikingly independent take on a tea and coffee experience. The local Emo scene has made it their home but also some other great groups. In addition to complementary WiFi they have a great collection of fun books and some great coffee and tea creations at way lower than Starbucks price point. The meditation classes held here will no doubt help you find your center! #coffeehouse

Thats the type of coffee shop I like!I came here with a friend for a cup of coffee, but this environment almost forces you to stay longer.The place is also a book store and has individual tables to work a balcony and my preferred place, a comfy couch by the TV that was exhibiting Young Frankenstein and after that (yeah thats how long I stayed there) spirited away.I cant wait now for an excuse to come back here, even if it is only to read a book of mine. My visit was around 5 pm; I believe they might get crowded later on the day.

The peaceful vibes, the amazing coffee and the homey feel. It’s place if you want to try an alternative coffeehouse vibe that isn’t Starbucks. Prices are super reasonable and affordable. Love coming here to study and spend time with my friends.

Old fashion coffee house unlike any Ive been too, even for NY city. Very nostalgic and vintage in the best way. Love the style here. The balcony is my favorite spot to pause and reflect or even just day watch drinking my latte. The owner is absolutely amazing and down to earth. Im taking the time out once a month to come here, not just for the coffee or it the immersive experience but to support this amazing business.

Undergrounds Coffeehaus in Fort Lauderdale is a unique, fun and relaxing place to enjoy coffee and tea. I finally visited for the first time last night. Theyre open late which is great for meeting up with friends. They have a large selection of tea as well as different toppings for tater tots.Bring cash as they wont charge your credit card if the bill is under $10.

Underground’s is one of those coffee shops that makes you hunt for it. It’s not underground, one the second floor, which makes it more exciting once you find the “secret” entrance. There’s millions of diffrent quirks around the coffeehouse adding to the hunt. Coffee is good, but I would enjoy coming here for the experience and the people.

The reason the staff dont seem to care about their jobs is because they get paid breadcrumbs under the table. Thats why theyre so insistent on tipping, they dont get paid an actual wage.

I found out about this place while searching for unique coffee-spots in Fort Lauderdale and Im so glad I did! From the moment we walked in, Aileen was ready and willing to assist us. She was so friendly and warm, made us feel right at home. I even had the Aileen Special, which was a drink she whipped up just for me after asking a few questions to gather info on what I like and dont like.. and let me tell you - it was amazing!The atmosphere is so cosy and welcoming! I love the walls of books, and games for you to play. Its a great spot to just go chill with your friends, go on a date or even just by yourself to enjoy some time alone. They will definitely be seeing me more!I highly recommend Undergrounds Coffeehaus!

This little hidden gem is amazing! Headed there late Saturday night for a game of scrabble and some coffee. I had the Almond Joy Latte, delicious!! As far as the ambience it is very laid back and chill, plenty of books everywhere, board games, and cool people! I do suggest you bring your own board game if that’s your thing since some of them may have missing pieces.

Has wonderful seating (an abundance of soft couches) and a good atmosphere to hang out with friends, play board games, and cuddle.They have their own chess set and Cards Against Humanity set for free use, and also a variety of used books to browse through or purchase, with most books at _good_ prices! (I think Ive gotten three books there!)Some people are bothered by the credit card minimum limit, but Im not since I only use cash. Occasionally, the serving can be slow: depends on the person on duty.Their websites currently down since their domain expired, though. They should fix that. Thats the main reason this review is four rather than five stars. (Im a sysadmin and could help with that for free, though, since I like the place so much)All in all, a really good place, my favorite cafe of all time so far! :D

I love this place. It’s a great spot to go get some writing or home work done, or just relax with your friends. The coffee is not always great, but they make up for it with the atmosphere, live bands/open mics and meditation groups.

We actually came here for the comedy night. If you have a handicap, beware that the place is located upstairs. I dont know if there was a different handicap accessible entrance. We ordered both hot and cold tea. I cant judge them on that because it was during the FLL Waterman break.The comedy area is small with some couches and many metal folding chairs. Air conditioners are in the windows. We had a good time because we loved the headlining comedian. I would go again with lower expectations.

A go to place for anyone looking for good coffee and a great ambient. It feels very cozy and has a setting where you can relax quite easily. The coffee and tea choices offered are amazing, my favorite being the grasshopper and it never disappoints. The tater tots also make a great, silly pair to the coffee but it makes sense with the place to serve tater tots and there’s no denying that they are amazing. All in all fully recommend for a great place to sit and talk and relax as well as even study.

I received a room temp latte that was less of a latte and more of just espresso with milk. I was upset, but open to a new experience. The place makes a good hang out for a chat or board game, but their coffee game was very, very off that day. I would have appreciated the atmosphere more if I was 14-16 years old again. It has a cool vibe... if and only if you can dig it. I would not go back, but you may like it. I am open to different things, but this place was just messy and the coffee was not even hot. The staff was not very welcoming either. Plus side: they had almond milk and I can appreciate that.

I went to see a comedy show at this location. The comedy show was good. I think the concept of the place is good with the different couches and books around. I love the idea of it. But the drinks and cookies we ate werent that good at all. It took forever to get served I felt bad for the girl because she was taking orders and trying to fulfill them as well. The one hit was the tatertots. But be ready to wait 30 minutes or more for them.

I love this place. It was around when I was a teenager and I rediscovered it through some new friends I recently met as theyve moved locations. I swear its like youre in your living room at your own home. Honestly vibes are so great you could kick off your shoes and really create. ✨ Ill be back again and again. Glad south Florida has a spot like this.

My first visit here was very enjoyable, the cashier was very friendly and talkative, the drinks were good, and I loved the atmosphere.Second visit (tonight, 1/24) I was greeted upon walking in and ordered a chai. The cashier was counting his drawer and asked his coworker Myranda to make my drink. She was visibly disgruntled that her tarot-card reading was interrupted, but got up and went to make my drink and then rudely suggested I tip my cashier. As someone who worked for tips for 7+ years and always tips above and beyond when I can, I was taken off guard by her passive-aggressiveness. The chai tea latte she made was passable, but could’ve been so much better if she cared about the quality of her service.I felt like a burden and like my character was insulted. I understand maybe she was having a bad day but it has really made the entire night unpleasant and is not fitting for a job in customer service.

Place.I come here alone for relaxation, fun conversations, and used books, all blended with good coffee/coffee drinks and tea.I bring my kayak group here once a month for an off-the-water get together, and despite the fact that we can fill about half the establishment (weve had over 20 folks show up) we are always made to feel welcome and at home.As a bonus for groups wanting a unique experience but needing a more focused space, Undergrounds can arrange for use of the Gallery space - we usually dont take advantage of this, but have from time to time.Altogether a great place - go often, the coffee is calling you....

I have been coming here for years now, even used to go to their old location that was smaller and closer to the beach! It’s not perfect but hey, what is? A lot of different people have worked here over the years so sometimes customer service can leave a little to be desired but honestly that hasn’t stopped me from stopping by even once lol! It’s very unique and one of a kind in terms of cafes here. You’re never gonna find another spot like it at least in this area! It’s super cozy on the inside, feels like someone’s living room almost. Sometimes they have movies playing or small events going on, I really do appreciate this spot :) Stop by if you’re open to new experiences and great drinks!

Just came for a comedy show but its a great little place nice atmosphere

Im always looking for local businesses with character, so I was happy to find this place. The coffee is great (try an iced almond joy). I dont consider it to be a hipster joint as many reviews suggest, although there were a few there. Rick at the counter was very friendly and conversed with the customers. He also called me by my name, which is rare for South Florida. They sell local arts and crafts which I love, and also promote local music. If youre obsessed with Starbucks and Target franchise life you might have to adjust a little, but youll survive. Underground Coffeehaus is worth checking out. Note: minimum card purchase is $10, and if you pay in cash they dont take any bills larger than $20. I wasnt prepared so I bought a $10 gift certificate with my debit card to make the purchase.

I have social anxiety, so when my friend recommended the Undergrounds Coffehaus I kept putting it off. Now I regret doing so immensely! The parking is simple and you go up this set of stairs into a charming space that looks like the ideal nerdy living room/library. There is an event space where they seem to host comedians and other events to the right of the stairwell. There is a television playing movies, incredibly sweet staff that seemed to be well loved by the regulars, used books for sale, art of display, coffee and an assortment of baked tater tots of different flavors. We stayed and read for a while, it was a peaceful and cozy experience. I didnt feel anxious at all and am looking forward to returning sometime.

Very chill laid back vibe. Coffee is good but I enjoy kicking back one of the old couches and reading one of the numerous old book, btw they are for sale along with various forms of art from local artists. Not enough places like this in the area.

It was cozy, but the clientele was a bit off. I guess its not my scene or something, but there was only one person helping us and they lacked good communication skills. The coffee was sub-par or average home made coffee at best, and the tots werent up to the tot standard. Could be cool for events, but not really to just chill.

Felt like at someones dirty old house that didnt know how to make coffee. White Russian flavor coffee taste like instant powder International flavored coffee,and cold. Tater Tots where far from gourmet, dumped on a cookie sheet a placed in the oven. Web site totally miss leading.

This is an interesting place to say the least. The interior looks like some old apartment with a Bar stand where you can order coffee beverages from. If you are not squeamish about ordering your coffee from a not so sanitary place, this is a cool place to hang for what seems like an interesting crowd of teenagers and other questionable persons. P.s. the coffee is ungodly sweet, almost like drinking a syrup from pumps loaded with several table spoons of sugar.

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered my coffee but like twenty minutes go by and had to remind the person. Once I did get the coffee it was cold. A lot of the staff seem to not to care at all about their job. They seem more Preoccupied in being outside with their friends than taking care of their customers. Place is crowded and dirty. Maybe it’s because Iam not a stoner but this place had potential at some point but somewhere they lost their vision and gave up. I wanted to like this place but everything was terrible. Week old store band coffee is better than what they serve. Save your time and go somewhere else.

This is one of my favorite places in south florida. Really chill and friendly atmosphere. I come here as often as I can. I cant really do justice to the place with a review but its worth checking out at least once. It gets pretty busy on the weekends but the people who frequent this place are probably the best part about this place.

My first time coming to this grungey, homey, nerdy, spot and so loved it! Feels like going over a friends house as teens to play DnD and Magic the Gathering. Books, great drinks, nerds and geeks everywhere. Im a big fan and will be back! Try the French soda, I recommend Coconut flavor. Sublime!

This might be the only authentic bohemian coffeehouses in South Florida. These places exist in many other parts of the country, and the world, but my extensive searches in all of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties have resulted in nothing to be thrilled about... Except for this place.

I dont usually review places, but I feel this place deserves one. To start off, this is located up a very sketchy set of stairs which gives off some creepy vibes to start off your visit with. Next they have an ILLEGAL minnim card purchase amount, if youre familiar with the rules of credit card processing you would know its actually illegal to pass the cost of processing on to the consumer or require a substantial purchase amount to offset the vendors costs. Anyway, this caused GREAT embarrassment to both my date and myself. We sat right at the bar and it took way too long to get two shots of espresso that were actually ice cold by the time they were placed in front of us. We never got our desserts either until we were practically out the door and the server came running after us. Note, we sat and conversed for about 25-30 minutes, which was plenty of time for us to get two slices of pie. After we said no thanks they insisted we take our pie to go, but didnt have any to go packaging and had to make shift it.Anyway, the overall vibe of the place is very weird too. Super young hipster wannabes and burned out older people. Maybe we went on a bad night, but looking at the waitstaff, it didnt seem like it.Save yourself the trouble of finding this place and go take a walk on the beach instead.
