First visit. Very unique way to make ice cream made to order. Customer service was great, it felt like they appreciated we came in. Ice cream was awesome! Will definitely be going back.

You have been reported for identity theft and fraud for the second time now and youre not gaining any traction from this. The businessowner, Jack Walsh, is an excellent businessman and leader in this community. His business and products are outstanding and he has never treated anyone poorly in any way - whether it be in his business, community or family.

For our end of year Celebration, and to work on our SuperNova Medal, we brought our CubScout Den here. Our Ice Cream Chemist did not disappoint! He was friendly, patient, engaging with the kids, talking about how the liquid nitrogen works. Even put some in a bowl to show our Cubbies, then to their amazement poured it on the floor to show what would happen. It was FANTASTIC! Thank you for having great people working here!

This ice cream has no flavor. We got one pumpkin and one strawberry and both tasted like cream. Don’t waste your money.

The staff are friendly, the place is clean. My Dad is an ice cream connoisseur and says this is the best ice cream he’s ever had. I will continue to support this business and its patriotic owner.

Their website is very misleading by letting the customer fill out the order and select ANY TIME and DATE but end up calling us to say they cant fulfill it. Please fix the website and correct this bug. Customers maybe in the planning phases of their event, some will check your website and see all the openings in the selection as available. Then when theyre ready to order, youll process the payment only for it to be cancelled later. Were first time customer to this brand and the website behaving the way it is... only breaks trust. Only reason why Im giving 3 instead of 1 is they called and was honest with us. Its a shame that the website is basically lying. Nowhere on the website does it say how much time is needed to make an ice cream cake. For anyone planning to order one, it takes a couple days.If you were a hotel, itll say all the rooms and times are open on the website. Then receptionist would call each customer to cancel later. Makes absolutely no sense to offer a broken/fragmented online ordering experience.

My kids and I have been here twice. Last week was our first time ever. The girl at the counter greeted us as soon as we entered and explained to us what it was and what everything meant. She was patient with the younger kids asking as they asked questions. We got one of each level to see what they were like. Most of us LOVED the brain freeze level. They have lots of options or you can create your own flavor combinations do it does not get old going here. We will definitely be returning. It was a great experience.

This is the first place that Ive found where I can get lactose-free ice cream! You might be thing there are places that offer lactose free options, but these come in the form of a coconut or almond milk base. But its just not the same for me. Sub Zero offers many cream options along with flavorings and mix-ins. The special effects of vapor flowing over the counter is an exciting and wonderful experience for all ages.

Fun experience for all of the senses. Lots of flavor options. All the dietary needs of my group were easily accommodated. Try the brain freeze for a really neat experience but take them seriously when they say not to take too big of bites!

Lots of flavor choices and combos. I was going to pick the most frozen texture but was recommended to get between the second and most frozen level since Ive never tried it before and love the outcome. Its too bad I live so far away but will def stop by again if Im in the area.

Its cool place to take your kids on a hot day . They make the ice cream right there and the dry ice affect will wow the kids for sure unless they have seen it a few times. But if most of them know the value of a dollar they wouldnt be so excited. For a company who makes ice cream from scratch which might I add maybe very very cheap theyre way overpriced. I mean the ice cream man is way cheaper so but the ice cream is good

We decided to give this place a try since it had high ratings. There was a long line, about 10-12 people, but we we’re determined to stay, because we figured the line would move quickly. Unfortunately, it must have taken 30 minutes for us to give our order. The process is incredibly slow. Then if you order 2 flavors, they blend the 2 flavors together instead of giving you separate scoops in a cup totally changing the taste of chocolate and strawberry ice cream. A total negative experience for us and we won’t be returning.

I really wanted to share a review on this place because it was fantastic but Google maps is a little off on its location by just a couple shops. It sits in between Best Buy and Olympic Sport and Spine (youll see those stores before you see the shop for Sub Zero). The gentleman serving us (I regret I didnt catch his name) was quite charming and very pleasant to talk to as he explained how this place works (customer service through the roof!). There were several flavor options and several more options on top of that.Unfortunately I was too busy inhaling my ice cream before I realized I hadnt taken a photo yet to post here and I didnt think posting a photo of an empty bowl of my girlfriends or a 90% eaten ice cream cone of mine would have been too helpful :)This place is delicious.

We drove almost 40 mins, thinking it would be slower at night. Arrived at 9:45PM, when we confirmed their hours. Place was popping with a line out the door, we walk up and are told they’re closed and were asked to leave.Edit: Bing lists their Friday closing hour at 11:30PM, Trip Advisor lists it at 11PM, Google and Yelp list it as 10PM. Updated my review. We’ve been here twice before without issues and everyone was nice. Tonight they may have been too busy and understaffed.

Consistently awesome ice cream, plus good options for sugar free and lactose free. lots of options available for flavors and toppings. just one star short of 5 because the wait can be a little long some times, depending on the time of day

Fun location for the kids. Be prepared for a LONG wait. Today, it had a rancid, sour milk smell. I used to work at Starbucks in my teens and the smell honestly reminded me when we would pick up the rubber mats to mop, sour milk smell. I almost left from the PTSD of the smell but knew what it was. The line was out the door and others noticed the odd odor too.Any other day, I would rate this 5 stars but bad smell, long lines, lack of friendliness from the staff or even a smile is getting 2 stars. And they are ALWAYS out of custard base. This is the 3rd time in a row.

I had an excellent visit at SubZero today. The young lady working there was by herself but handled all the customers in a timely manner and very professional. This is a great Twist on ice cream, Ive never had anything like it. All ingredients are poured into a bowl and liquid nitrogen is used to freeze it and you choose how cold. I picked up for my coworkers and had to drive this 15 minutes to the office in 90 degree weather. The employee added a little extra nitrogen so it would be Frozen when I made it there, it was!

Fun atmosphere like the science references in their flavor suggestions was pretty busy at 9:35 on a Friday evening line out the doorBut only took 25 minutes to get our selections. Not inexpensive but good. They charged me for an extra mix but didnt add it to my selection.

Such a fascinating experience. Similar in many ways to ColdStone Creamery. Youre in for a show and a treat when you get ice cream here. And they have a firmness level for all kinds from soft serve tongue tingler to normal numb tongue to hard brain freeze. The price is fair for the amount you get as well. Ill definitely be coming back here with some friends next time. You see the entire process from start to finish.

Went here for ice cream with my mom and grandma today. Huge selection of flavors, service was friendly, and the ice cream was some of the best I’ve had. It’s literally flash frozen right in front of your eyes. Prices were not bad for a premium ice cream.

New experience for me. You pick a pre-made recipe, or milkshake, or make your own concoction. I made my own. You pick the size ice cream you want, the kind of cream(i chose vegan coconut milk cream), the flavors you want(i chose chocolate), the mix-ins if you want(i chose peanut butter cups), and lastly you choose how much nitrogen to freeze the cream at a different level(i chose medium). Mine ended up tasting amazing

The place was off the hook. I cant believe they dont have 1,000,000 of these joints over the world 🌎. I enjoyed the whole experience.

There was a long line but it moved fast. Good ice cream. Got the brain freeze style and it was still good ice cream consistency when I got home an hour and a half later.

I am happy to say I have a new ice cream place to take my kid for a treat. This has been a pretty awesome summer and nothing helps beat the heat better than great ice cream. Being lactose intolerant, this place gives me more options and my kid gets a cool mini science lesson. I cant wait to come back with my kid.

I have been coming here for years absolutely my favorite ice cream place EVER.... but recently they have been losing quality in the ability to make the right “chill factors” and the portion sizes. I find times where I order a regular and I get the the amount of a small... or I’ll get a sensation with no waffle bowl but still get charged for it ... I’m upset because the last couple times I have been here I have been let down in those aspects I don’t know if it is because of new Employees that need to be taught better or just simply because they do not care enough. I love sub zero but I don’t know how many times I can keep paying for something and not be satisfied...

I ordered a custom lg w custard base, mint with Andes mint mix-ins brain freeze. I was expecting the taste of mint but it was bland not even a hint of mint. Past visits have had no issue. Was a bit disappointing for what I paid for. 🥺

We recently moved from Texas we’ve been coming to sub zero on a weekly basis for the past 8 months. My daughter said that she wanted a cake from nitrogen ice cream. Her Birthday was today on Valentine’s Day. They are closed on Sunday so we made arrangements to pick it up on Saturday so I pre ordered the cake. We were not expecting this severe weather. The owner Jack called me and told me that even though they were closed on Saturday they were going to make my daughter her cake. They went above and beyond with their customer service and delivered it to my house . You now have earned a lifetime customer thanks Nitrogen ice cream team

The Ice Cream is some of the best I have had. However, when I went this time there was a long wait and the employees seemed overwhelmed by the line, and we ended up waiting 45 mins for it.

We enjoy Sub Zero, but this time the owner was there and he took great care of us, was able to answer dietary questions and even reduce the sugar in a base.

It was a beautiful experience. The Brain Freeze option is mind blowing, I would recommend a small size for the 1st time!!!

A bitter waxy disappointment. I had ordered the #3 Bernoulli Brulee that is supposed to be caramel and vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, dulce de leche, twix, heath. They ended up putting brownie in it accidentally and the brownie must have walnuts or they added a bunch of walnuts that I have an intolerance to. Dont think heath or twix made it in definitely no caramel taste either. The ice cream isnt even brown like caramel in the picture, its yellow and bitter tasting. The chocolate covered cone is waxy chocolate that had almonds but the almonds had a terrible taste also. In all it was a terrible ice cream experience and we even drove from the Tacoma area. Had I realized they messed up my order so bad I wouldve returned it. But we got it to go and took it home. Never will we be back.

Great family place. Open late, open till 11pm Friday and Saturday. I wish they had more variety of flavors particularly the tart flavors. They are also closed on Sundays. My kids like the show of the nitrogen cloud. Staff is always friendly here. I like stopping here after running errands at the nearby pet stores or after late dinner in the area.

I got the peanut butter bonds and it was delicious! There were 5 people in front of me when I got there and it took about 10 min with 2 employees to get through them as they make every single ice cream from scratch. It was worth the wait though!

My favorite parts of my experience was not the actual ice cream, which had a lot to make up for, but the staff. My interactions with Yuliya and Archie were very good, and they were amazing! I definitely be back to try some new combinations of flavors. Thanks guys!

Nice novelty but its only good in theory. The ice cream lose flavor because of the nitrogen. I got the lactose free and it was unateable. At least the dairy had some flavor but not much. I will stick with regular ice shops from now on.

Amazing ice cream, huge selection of ingredients, and a great show. During the day, the owner works behind the counter and he puts on a big show of mixing and freezing and interacts with the customers more, especially kids. The evening shift is a little more focused on getting their job done.

Sub Zero catered at a wedding in Des Moines, Washington I photographed! It was like dessert and a show! Their servers were so sweet and the menu featured the cutest flavor combo titles. If you are an ice cream loving couple, I would definitely recommend them for your wedding! I have photographed weddings with other ice cream vendors where guests waited in long lines talking and bored having people hold their spot or trying to rangle their kiddos while waiting. With Sub Zero, waiting in line for a treat is made more fun by watching their entertaining process! Everyone enjoyed watching while waiting and the kiddos were mesmerized!

First time here, and was confused on how it worked. The lady helped me through it and was simple and easy. This is the best ice cream i had in a long time. Definitely coming back, she was amazing. Very helpful and friendly workers.

Not too busy which I guess is expected for a winter night. The two girls working, Brook and Fiona were very kind quick and efficient. I didn’t like my ice cream and Brook was quick to replace it with her recommendation, that time it was delicious. Will be back for the friendly conversation and great ice cream.
