My catalytic converter was stolen off my car. Charged $400.00 to their product on but only with 1 O2 sensor. I was told that they had everything that my car needed. Well my car needed 2 sensors Upstream and Downstream. My check light never went off. I had to end up paying someone else to complete the job that they didnt do. I had ordered both sensors and catalytic converter from the start but was told I had the wrong one (converter) that was to let him put the right parts on. So I was lied to. Not good for business. People seem to think that women dont know anything when it comes to cars. I will never do business with the company and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone else. They ripped me off

I visited this location to have my exhaust hanger fixed and to have a slip fit connection welded. The guy I spoke to was pleasant but didnt seem like he wanted to work. He informed me because my exhaust was stainless steel he didnt have anything to work on it with which didnt make any sense. How does an exhaust shop not have the capability to work on a stainless steel exhaust setup.

Phenomenal shop!!! Steve and Jason are great guys. They tackled my muffler/dual exhaust install in less than 30 minutes! They were like a pit crew team. One was cutting/welding while the other was bending. The welds were solid and everything looks even. I took their recommendation on choosing a muffler for my 5.0l and Im glad I did. And with a combined 40 plus years of experience between the two, you cannot go wrong using them. Friendly, knowledgeable and experienced!

WOW! There are not enough words to how satisfied I am with this shop. Brought in my car expecting to pay hundreds based off what other mechanics would charge.. and this guy did it for only 100$. Now not every muffler isn’t the same nor are the problems, but this guy is worth going to and seeing what he can do. And on top of that, the job was done in 20 min. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience today at this muffler shop! My 2010 Ford F150 needed a new muffler and end tail pipe installed. Service was very professional, quick, and affordable (albeit I did not shop around to compare prices). He made the job look effortless! Most importantly he seemed VERY HONEST as he did NOT try to upsell me (another shop did). I am a very happy customer! I will be referring all my Army buddies to his shop. 5 STARS!!

Took my vehicle in that clearly has an exhaust leak. They put it on the lift looked around and said they didn’t hear anything. Then stated it could be something else but he’s not a mechanic. At least I wasn’t charged to have it looked at.

Knocked my tailpipe off and came in to have it replaced. Jason made me a replacement and had it all welded up in a jiffy. Very satisfied with the service I was given and how reasonable the total cost was. Ill never go anywhere else for muffler repair. THANKS!

Its a really great place to get any muffler work done and some good prices. The owner was really proficient and very knowledgeable I was in and out in about an hour he has been doing this kind of work for about 20 and some years.

I went to American Muffler after going to another shop across town who had quoted me an incredibly high price! Jason @ American Muffler is a straight up, knowledgeable and competent guy! He looked at my truck, quoted me a very fair price and did the work incredibly fast!! Very poor service prices are very high and the guy that did the work did not do a good job seemed like he was on drugs. Checked around for price comparison after the fact should have been between $80 -$100 dollars I had my own part from American Muscle. I was not patient and wanted it done before Monday I thought it was pricey and should have walked away will never visit this place again and will stick with my personal muffler shop. I will be putting a jeer in the Fay Observer and visiting the Fort Bragg PAO to see if I can get this place put off limits for soldiers. Charged $200 dollars for 30 mins !!!

Fantastic service . Drove in with my Chevy silverado 2007 and Steve asked me what I wanted. I explained what I had in mind for exhaust and he said OK got up took my keys and they had the new system put in, in less than 30 MInutes and its sounds great. I definitely recommend this shop.

I was new to the area and heard a lot about kens muffler, i spoke to mike over there twice and he had such a attitude and was so rude to talk to!!!! he even started getting loud about me asking questions!!! so i called American Muffler Shop, and to my surprise he was so much easier to talk to and wanted to help fix my exhaust. I dropped my car off and got caught up in a meeting for my son which was going to make me late to pick up my car, and to my surprise they waited for me to get there so i could get my car back!!! now thats customer service!!!! Went in on a Friday afternoon to have muffler replaced. Hurried and cut it off and did not support the pipe to the manifold correctly. The collar is busted and has to be welded and supported properly. Will not even consider returning.

Tried selling me a knock off flowmaster muffler, lies to me saying it was flowmaster did my research and if its not stamped, its not flowmaster and he wouldnt come down on the price after I told him j knew it wasnt real. Wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone. Drove down to Kens Muffler and they did s fantastic job, great pricing and many options on mufflers and tips.

After checking around local muffler shops american muffler is almost half the price than anyone around. i got dual exhaust put on dodge ram and it only took them right at 30 min. if need any muffler work dont hesitate to take here. best around and Jason that works there nows his S---. will recommend to anyone that ask about exhaust and will be doing business again. thanks

At the time theu were open on a saturday. I needed exhuast joinys welded up...somthing simple.... 20 bucks a joint to weld and it how welded it was with a torch and brazing rod. It looked like crap and the exhuast still had leaks from the work that was done. Got two stars for just being on saturday..only reason why i had it done that day.

I have been here 3 times with 2 different vehicles, and I always felt like I was being ripped off. I recently paid $266 for a universal catalytic converter model CATCO 2505R for my late model ford. Bull of it is that he charged me $200 for the CAT, and $50 for labor. The converter alone I found on summit racing for $98.97 with free shipping. He charged me over double so that he can lose one but buy 2 more. I also had a ford ranger that I wanted a flowmaster installed on and he installed a universal muffler that sounded like flowmaster. Never going here again, you should not either unless you want to be ripped off.

Well, at first hand he seemed nice, knowledgeable, quick and worth the money, but after some investigation, I found that the Flowmasters I paid for are NOT flowmasters at all. I had my doubts, called him and he assured me they were, called flowmaster and they were skeptical so I took my vehicle to another place (a certified flowmaster dealer) to find that they are, in fact, NOT flowmasters. I have been in touch with flowmaster and they told me the going price, about the knock offs that most people try to sell as flowmasters, and what the difference between the knock offs and real ones is. Needless to say, if you didnt receive bumper stickers, if the color seems wrong and, most importantly, if they ARENT stamped with FLOWMASTER and their information, with their serial number, they probably ARE NOT flowmasters. Take a look before leaving the shop, or if youve already had work done there, take a look at the mufflers you have on there if you paid for flowmasters.

I stopped by on 9/26/12 to get my exhaust repaired on my 85 mazda rx7, american muffler did a job that was not only efficient, but astetically pleasing, the welds where perfect. I drove the car hard all day to make sure no leak would develop later, and due to the 1200-1600 degree exhaust temp. from the rotary engine I would say it was a abusive test. I have no leaks and no complaints. The price was also very fair considering the quality of the work.

Fast, inexpensive and well knowledgeable. Steve (owner) dualed out my toyota tundra with the origianl 40 series flowmaster and it sounded great. This time I had a glasspack put on my 09 silverado and still I received the same quality as before. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF!

I had a muffler put on my car and 2 days later the hangers break off because he didnt weld it on. He soldered it on. I wouldnt recommend anyone going here for any repairs.

Be cautious. Was told he put on flowmaster mufflers. Several years later when the muffler went bad and I had it replaced, the guy told me some cheap knock off mufflers were put on.
