I took my car to Import Performance Group for a check engine light issue. The owner Chris and his staff was very professional and courteous. I was very satisfied with their work and they will be my go to mechanic shop going forward. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Feel like my mom was over charged because shes elderly and female. She will not be going back. Had a leak on her car. they did things That should not be done if you have fixed the leak. Like coolant flush, drain radiator and power steering flush and break flush, that should not be $1300 dollars.

I took my 2004 car here because It would not past inspection. These guys made me proud with the job they did. They fixed my car and it did not cost me an arm and a leg. I passed inspection with flying colors and got my tag.

I took my Mini Cooper to Import Performance Group for some minor repairs the last week in March, 2018. I did not request repairs or mention my Clutch. However, each time Chris called to update info on my Mini, he mentioned my Clutch. The day I picked up my Mini Cooper, Chris mentioned that my Clutch would probably need some attention down the road but not any time soon. I drove my car home, about 6 miles from the shop. The very next day my Clutch went out completely without warning. When I called Import Performance, I was told it was because I was probably riding my Clutch. I have been driving a stick shift for over 50 years, I know how not to ride a Clutch.

Great staff of mechanics that are very experienced, honest, and determined. Specialize in european motors but they can work on any car due to their knowledge, backgrounds, and perseverance. Best quality in the Fayette County area hands down. I suggest an appointment since theyre in high demand. Thank you IPG for fixing my Audi S4!

Took my Toyota Prius V to them and they fixed the problem that the dealership was never able to find. They mistakenly broke my windshield in the repair process but they admitted to it and replaced it. I was very impressed with their honesty and thankful they were able to fix my car. Definitely will go back in the future.

These guys are amazing they are professional, friendly and honest. I have three BMW , Dodge truck, VW and a Mazda. They fit me in when ever I call and do an excellent job. I refer everyone I know there because I know that they will get great service and wont be ripped off. The staff is so wonderful that my high school daughters have no problem bringing there car there after school if something doesnt feel right . Would not recommend. Took my car in for a fairly low cost estimate to replace my fuel tank and a few other things and was hit with a 900 dollar bill. On top of that they called and told me my transmission went out when they took it for a test drive... its a manual that was just put in witj new clutch and flywheel with less than a 100 miles on it. How do you lose all gears in a manual i have no idea but ended up paying 2k dollars. Since then the transmission has lost 1st 4th and reverse. Ive been calling for a month and a half with no answers and no return phone calls. I dont see how this guy is in business. After reading other reviews i see others had transmission issues while in the care of their cars. I picked the car up oct 20th i believe. STAY AWAY

I have a 2014 Focus Sport with a manual transmission. I purchased a Steeda Short Throw Shifter and was planning on installing the shift bracket myself and getting a shop to install the new lever. I was recommended by people to come to this shop. I brought in my shifter to Chris for a quote and he told me it would be $350 to install it (the part itself only costs $200). I thought this was way too much so I called Steeda themselves and they told me they install both the bracket and lever for $135 and that it shouldnt cost much more. These guys were trying to charge double what the manufacturer charges. The only reason they didnt get one star is because they see like they know what they are talking about, they just charge an incredible amount of money to do the job. Beware!

One year ago, I brought my ML320 in for repair . I was told it needed fuel pump, filter, line, line 2 and shop supplies. a new battery and that vehicle had 5 different misfires from the catalytic converters failing . I was told the AC didnt work, that it would be another 100 to go forward for some reason? and the oil was dirty need 150 to replace that, perform a smoke test another 200.00 . all four 02 sensors needed to be replaced. they quoted me all together 3843 before taxes and labor that was just for parts! My husband made the decisions to go ahead and let them do half the work . BAD DECISION! when we got the car back, The engine rattled uncontrollably and when pressing the gas pedal the engine would cease. why? because they never replaced the oil nor flushed it replaced anything that had to do with the oil !! the also said they drove it.. HA that was impossible because the fuel pump that was supposedly replaced 400.00 cost to me mind you had a broken line inside which was causing another misfire! when a second mechanic i took it too told me the catalytic converter never had to be replaced, or the O2 sensors. They new it was an easy fix and they were going to rip me off. There was only 85,000 miles on this SUV ! how could it possibly be the Catalytic converter?? Dont take your import vehicle here unless you like to start a fire using your hard earned money. They charged me for Bosch parts and put on aftermarket parts they got off the internet!! After finding a real import mechanic My ML320 SUV was repaired for 1650.00 THAT WAS PARTS, LABOR AND DIAGNOSE AND TOW ! shop around dont believe the hype! These guys just want a quick buck they do not care about return business.Rebecca Siegel

I got my brake pads and rotor replaced in April 2015. July 2015, my brakes start making grinding noises and eventually a brake pad falls off. Of course my initial reaction was to take it back to the mechanics that did my brakes just a few months prior. I showed the manager the brake pad that fell off and he told me that they will take a look at my brakes to see what happened and if it is anything that they did wrong, they will fix it with no charge. He then comes back, before looking at my car that he thinks it could be something else but assured me they would take a look at it. I said ok and was given a form to fill out that required my name, address, phone number and for me to check a box stating that no work to be done on the car without an estimate on the work and then a signature. I asked before I signed if there were any fees associated with this and the front desk lady told me no. Another guy who was parking cars and pulling cars into the garage told me that the paperwork was just to get my information. I read over the form and proceeded to sign.Tuesday we got a call saying that my brake calipers on the left side needed to be fixed. They also told me I would have to replace both calipers and my rotors and pads on both sides. They gave me a price of $400 just for labor. My husband and I decided to just pick up the car and take it to another mechanic to take a 2nd look at it. When I went in on Wednesday to get my car she told me it would be $101 to get my car. I asked why, because nothing was fixed on my car. She told me it was a “diagnostic fee”. I was never told that I would be getting a diagnostic on my car nor was that the agreement. The paperwork I signed did not mention anything about a diagnostic or an agreement to pay any fees. The repair shop is holding my car until I pay. I believe they are throwing me a fee out of nowhere because I decided to get a 2nd opinion. I also believe when they fixed my rotors and pads, they should’ve told me about my calipers, if it is the calipers and not a mess up they did on their part. Driving a car with bad breaks is very dangerous.BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! They are Con artist. They know how to get their money whatever way they can.

I had 2 bad experiences where a repair was done and parts were not reassembled properly. The second time my accessory belt pulley and radiator fan were not properly attached to the engine block. They came loose while I was driving and damaged more engine components. Repairs cost me over $1000. Needless to say, I will never go back.
