Had the pleasure of working with the fine folks at Volvo Cars of Exeter, and I cannot recommend them enough! Each interaction with the staff there was always positive and you can tell theres a lot of pride throughout the team. Oliver Strattner (Ollie) especially stood out with his patience, professionalism and personable nature. Though he was thorough and informative, his down-to-earth approach was so refreshing.I had heard that these folks werent your average dealership, and after working with them, I can certainly see why! They truly are a shift above.

This was my first-time experience of the technician sending me a 2.5 minute video of my car with his recommendations of the service needed and why. It was impressive to see what was actually wrong with my tires prior to inspection instead of simply being told by the service manager (whose job is to increase the dealership’s business) that I need a new set of tires. This transparency increased my sense of trust with Exeter Volvo and made my experience that much more personal and exceptional. In addition to that, the customer waiting area was comfortable, clean, warm and inviting.

Our family has purchased 3 cars from this dealership. The first was such a great experience, we went back for two more. When my son had an issue with his 2009 XC70 and couldnt get the key out, Dan (the owner) drove to him on his way home and helped him. THE OWNER DROVE TO MY KID WHO WAS AT WORK AND HELPED HIM WITH HIS CAR like it was no big deal!! The staff has always been above and beyond helpful - Pierre is fantastic; I love their communication system when your car is in for service (video to see the issues/walk around, full write up, etc. right to your email or text). I have sent friends, family and anyone else who asks where I got my car to this dealership. Not just to Volvo because I have had not so great experiences elsewhere - it is this dealership with this staff that makes it so great.

Talked to a not very knowledgeable employee about an issue I had with my vehicle. It seemed I knew more about my car after 2 minutes of looking online than he did working in the trade. I was told the shop foreman would give me a call. I have not received a call as of yet. Very bad first impression, I will not allow for a second.

I purchased a CPO 2017 S60 Inscription and 10 Year/100,000 Mile VSC from Volvo Cars of Exeter and it was an excellent experience. Paul N. was responsive by email and telephone, and he had the car waiting in front when I dropped by for a test drive. Everyone I worked with was helpful, consultative and friendly. No high-pressure tactics where employed at any time and I walked away feeling like I got good deal. The dealer website not only shows the Carfax report, but it also has a link to the Monroney Label (widow sticker), which makes it easy to know the exact options on the car.

My husband and I purchased our first Volvo (an XC 90) from Rich and Oliver in December. Every person we dealt with from walking in to test drive the vehicle to finding the right configuration that we wanted to driving it off the lot was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Oliver spent a while with us going over all the features. It was a breath of fresh air not having to deal with high pressure sales tactics when buying a vehicle. We love the XC 90, so Im thinking this wont be our last Volvo. Well definitely go back to Exeter Volvo when the time comes. I highly recommend them!

I was interested in trading in my vehicle (which I loved) for something with more current safety features. I drive ~100 miles/day for work, in traffic, so I need something safe, reliable, and comfortable. I’m now in a position where I am able to afford the next level up vehicle, so researched and test drove the GMC Acadia, VW Cross Sport, BMW X3, and Volvo XC40 and XC60, as well as looked at Audi and Mercedes.My experience at Exeter Volvo was by far the best of the bunch, which is saying a lot because I’ve bought my last 3 cars from the same salesman at GMC, who gave me his family discount last time. VW was so disinterested in selling me the car. BMW was super hard core pushy.My husband and I stopped by the dealership on a Sunday, thinking the dealership was closed. To our surprise, they weren’t. We worked with Mike Hart, who has extensive experience with Volvo. After discussing what I was interested in, we test drove the XC40 and then the XC60 Inscription T6. My trade-in had ventilated seats and we test drove on a 95F day, which made me realize ventilated seats are now a must feature for me. Mike spoke with Adam about stock availability and they had one demo available with the seats I was looking for. We returned 2 days later to test drive the XC60 Inscription T5 and I was instantly impressed. (Massage seats! Driver AND passenger?!?! 😍) My husband has been a mechanic for 35 years and worked on race cars. In 21 years I have never heard him say “I love this car” until this test drive. When we got back to the dealership, I signed the paperwork and scheduled the sale for Saturday.The entire process was friendly, informative, and supportive. I felt like Mike and Adam truly wanted to find me the car I wanted and didn’t try to sell me anything else. I also feel like I got a fair deal and was treated respectfully during negotiation. Adam even saved me an extra $1K because of the company I work for. They had an opportunity between test drives (Sunday and Tuesday) to sell to another customer and gave me first dibs. That spoke volumes to me.The car was a demo with 500 miles. Not driven much, but did have some interior scratches and blemishes. They put the effort in to make the car brand new again, to my complete satisfaction. I was really impressed with their commitment to making sure I was a happy customer.The finance experience was great. I probably could have gotten myself a lower interest rate through my credit union, but it’s was good enough and easier to go through Volvo. Leo was fantastic, straight-forward, and trustworthy. I did end up purchasing both an extended and tire warranty, and I feel good about that decision.Yesterday was my first commute to work in the new car. I am in love with this car! It’s amazing, has everything I was looking for and more. I’m exceptionally happy with my purchase and the overall experience. I plan to bring my car for service to Exeter and foresee myself being a repeat customer. My co-workers, family and friends are already aware of my experience and I will be submitting additional feedback online on Yelp, etc.

I recently purchased a 2018 XC60 and simply had the best car buying experience ever. From the moment I stepped on the lot I was treated with professionalism and courtesy from many employees within the dealership. We were fortunate to work closely with Gael and Adam from the start and being in a customer service industry myself, these people have it perfected. You can feel the culture they have created and the feeling they truly care about what they do in their jobs, which in turn makes you feel very comfortable and not pressured in any way. We were considering Audi and Acura. The quality and costs were really impressive comparatively.Updating now to include the service dept. Bryan in service is great. I had some minor cosmetic issues after delivery and they took care of everything and service guys are all really good.

Ive driven Volvo for several years, and began servicing at Volvo Exeter a year or so ago, and am very impressed with the overall service and experience theyve provided. My interaction with the service team was always that they go the extra mile to make service appointments convenient and flexible to me, to keep me updated on the status, and to make sure Im not stuck without a car. And having just purchased our new Volvo there, Im also equally impressed by the Sales and Delivery team. There were a couple minor issues the first couple weeks in our new car, but the entire Volvo team- Sales and Service- was responsive, available, and truly went above and beyond to ensure the situation was addressed to my satisfaction, and with sincere interest for the customer. I continue to be impressed with how responsive Adam and others at Volvo Exeter are- even well after the sale is completed! My sales rep answered all my questions. I had the typical bartering back and forth, before agreeing on a deal. When I picked up the vehicle the purchase process was quick and stress free. He spent a good hour reviewing all the options and technology on my new vehicle (which I really appreciated). He offered to do a second or third review if necessary. Bought a year old 2019 S60 T6 Inscription last week from Ollie. Very rare combo of options. Had been looking for months for just the right car...incl BMW, Audi, MB, also. From my first email to Rich the Sales Mgr, thru all follow up communications and visits with Ollie, Don the Used Car Mgr, Dan the owner, and Pierre in Service everything went perfectly. Pricing was excellent (2 other nearby dealers werent close on lesser cars), everyone was very professional and friendly, and of course observed all COVID protocols to a T. I am new to Volvo of Exeter, having just moved to the area. I am thankful to have found them. First of all, the dealership is very nice with an ability to hang easily. My first experience was with the servicing of my 2011 Volvo s80. This experience was a step above anywhere else I had visited for service. When I decided to trade the s80, I looked at other brands just to do my due diligence. I only visited Exeter for a Volvo. They were patient and flexible with me (especially my sales consultant) to the point that I became comfortable sticking with the Volvo brand. They guided me to the best fit. I LOVE my car and the decision I made to work with this dealership. This will be a long-term relationship - service, sales, accessories, everything Volvo.

When I arrived I was told to drive in to a covered garage to protect me from the weather. Upon entering the dealership I noticed how spotless it was. I purchased my vehicle at another dealership (huge mistake). The service manager Cliff could not do enough for me. Cliff looked up my vehicle and found that it had a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty. Upon inspection it was determined that both rear springs were broken. That was covered under the warranty (thank God). There were several other issues that were rectified and I can recommend this dealership with the highest praise possible. There were all the amenities (coffee snacks even treats for your dog.) Again if you are buying a Volvo Exeter is the place to go.

Two words that can define the folks at this dealership - honestly and transparency. Everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable and upfront about vehicles and their costs and I never got the feeling that they were trying to screw me over. Cant say that for a lot of other places.

My experience Leasing my new Volvo XC40 was nothing short of pleasurable. I worked with Adam (Sales Manager) and he came with his best price upfront. I shopped this with all dealers in Maine and Exeter Volvo beat them all in price. I live 1 hr away and there is a Volvo dealership down the road. We worked out the pricing ahead of time so that my trip to the dealership included e no surprises. I arrive and took the car for a test drive and they hd me out of there in just over 1 hr of my test drive. Every staff member that I talked to was courteous and friendly.

Outstanding customer service! Just moved to the area and was unfamiliar with the dealership. Every step in the process of buying my new car was second to none. The owner is hands on and the team is not only experienced and professional but go out of their way to foster a positive customer experience. When I brought the car in for a software upgrade the owner saw it was taking a bit longer than expected so he offered a loner car and even offered to drop my vehicle off at my home. Thats really going out of the way to build a relationship. I feel valued as a customer and will be loyal to this dealership for years to come.

I went to Volvo Cars of Exeter last weekend to lease a new vehicle and I couldnt be more happy with my experience. My lease was about to expire on my old XC60 and I knew exactly what I wanted for my next one. I went online and found it at this dealership and contacted them to make sure it was available. That weekend, I drove up from Boston, and in a few hours, I drove away in the exact car I wanted.I got the exact car I wanted with a price I was happy about. Thats what a car shopping experience should be (getting the car you want at a price you can afford). This was one of the most simple and straightforward deals Ive gotten in my car shopping history. Everyone from the salesperson, the managers, and the finance manager had my best interests in mind when putting the deal together.I typically dont write reviews but, I was so satisfied with my experience that I feel like I have to spread the word.

Got a brand new XC 90 T6 SUV and the air conditioning doesn’t work correctly. Exeter Volvo refused to fix or exchange the car, and treated me poorly and disrespectfully while I tried getting the car fixed.

Exceptional customer service. Went in with an issue for such a new car and it was fixed under warranty. They go above and beyond to give you a top knotch experience.

TRUSTWORTHY SERVICE DEPT!!Brought my 2006 XC wagon in today for a $2200 replacement of a leaking ABS unit, identified during the State Inspection. Although I did appreciate service advisor, Pierre Belperrons, candid honesty when he told me unfortunately failing ABS units are uncommon (just my luck!!) I did emailed Service Mgr. Cliff Cote to inquire about a less expensive repair. Cliff called back and reassured me that if it wasnt needed, they would not replace the part. Guess what? The leaking brake fluid was coming from a loose fitting. Outstanding dealership!!

The service adviser Bryan Richardson has always been very knowledgeable and answered all my questions about my car and the Volvo cars in general. I learned things I didnt know about my car and as a car enthusiast this usually is not the case when I go to dealerships :-)

Im surprised to see so many 5 star reviews. I have found the wait times to always exceed what they tell you. The complimentary car wash is rarely done. The only good service that I have received is being offered a loaner car when told ahead of time that services will take over 2 hours. Very disappointed, since I have had very different (and very positive) experiences at other Volvo dealerships.ADDENDUM: Volvo was very quick to address my concerns, which I very much appreciate.

Beside being expensive, they really dont diagnose the problem. Instead they suggest to remove and replace whatever is suspecious. However the staff are really polite and the environment is really clean and cozy.-------------------------------This is a response to your reply. First of all the problem was not the aftermarket parts at all. I had my car be checked by a local mechanic and they diagnosed the problem to be the failed CV axles. They replaced it and my car now is running even better than the day I bought it and guess what? These axles are also non OEM parts purchased online.

I want to commend Joe Lemieux for the extra effort and kindness he displayed in helping us today. Volvo of Exeter is fortunate to have an employee like Joe!

I was on my way to an emergency vet appointment when my 1996 960 Volvo suddenly shut down, all dashboard lights flashing forcing me to immediately come to a halt safely at the roadsides edge. With my hazard lights on I proceeded to notify my husband of the situation and to call for help from Volvo Roadside Assistance, who could not have been more helpful or comforting for the next 2 hours. They told me the coverage for hookup and towing and any overages that may occur. With all the necessary information at hand they walked me through what was to happen with my safety always firsthand, proceeded to call my dealership in Exeter, NH speaking to Mike in Sales to apprise them of the situation and to expect to see my car towed there later in the evening. They called a tow service who also called me to let me know his arrival time and Corey from Als Automative in Exeter NH arrived at his expected time and carefully hooked my Volvo up securely and safely delivered her to Volvo Cars of Exeter. Volvo Roadside continued to call throughout to make sure I was safe and all was proceeding smoothly. The next day I called Cliff Cote (Service Manager) at the dealership and he was going to assess my disabled vehicle and within just a few hours called with the main fuel pump as the reason, the cost of repair and as always for many many years Cliff at the helm came through for me. I had my most precious vehicle ready to be picked up within 36 hours. The service team at Volvo Cars of Exeter has for over twenty years been professional, honest, respectful and timely in providing me with the most efficient care for a vehicle that has always been there for me keeping me safe and enjoying the excellence of craftsmanship that only a Volvo can do.My sincerest thanks to Cliff and his team and all those at Volvo who understand the quality of a Volvo and its relationship to its owners.Keep up the very fine work. Expensive. Should have more and/or better signage for parts department. Need to pay more attention to details, as they messed up receipt by billing to wrong account.

Parts department pulled extra parts I MIGHT need for me just in case I needed them, and got me the right sunglass holder despite me getting the color wrong. Service set me up right away for a new key with no appointment and for less than quoted.
