Over priced and not the greatest selection. There is one nice cashier who is contsantly nice, everyone else is a hit n miss on service. They need to drop the just for you and digital coupons as not everyone gets on-line. My grandparents spend way more there then most and deserve the same prices but do not use the internet...shame on you Safeway!

Safeway on 18th has always been a nasty place, but walking in there and seeing all the unmasked individuals breathing their germs into the air while the rest of us follow the rules. Employee are not encouraged to ask them to wear masks so I now know where I won’t be shopping

I’ve lived in this area for two years and I noticed a few disturbing things about this store. They price gouge because it’s located by the university. There’s also a high turnover rate and I’ve been told by several employees that the management is rude. As a customer, I come by every morning after work but started shopping elsewhere because I’m constantly followed and harassed by employees for not wearing a mask or they think I’m stealing. I wear a see through mesh backpack, and why would I show my face if I was trying to steal?This Safeway has lost my business for life, and I would rather shop at Fred Meyers or Winco for the experience and competitive prices.If your in the university area and have access to a vehicle, shop elsewhere.

Next time I’ll just go to Walmart, because at least there I expect to be treated like garbage vs Safeway who tries to pretend like they’re better. Whoever the white, frizzy dyed red hair girl is who was working the self checkout around 2:30pm on 10/14/21 is she needs to check her attitude. Completely rude and unprofessional.

Wonderful employees @ customer service! Fantastic floral depth, Christian the florist is a true artist! The pharmacy staff is wonderful @ very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this Safeway!

Tried 4 different grocery clerks, I even went to customer service about where an item is located. Nobody new, nobody offered to find out they just made a guess but didnt want to walk down. I eventually just used my phone to try to locate it myself. Wow. Safeway at 18th, Eugene,OR 10/17/21 6pm

It was good. Im in a wheelchair and I requested an employee to help me shop. Hopefully its ok to say his name, Jack was so kind and helpful. He made my shopping experience a pleasent one. I hope I get him again next time. The only thing I didnt like was the high prices. It must be cause its close to the college campus. Thank you Safeway for your professional and kind employees, especially Jack!!!!

They have pretty decent deals at times but their regular prices can be a bit pricey.

Bathrooms hard to locate but rather then i suppose overall 75 out of 100.Cons :-No public Bathroom(Politely ask customer service for the door code.)- Obvious High prices (Its Safeway not Walmart)-Uppity Crowd somewhat. But will coward quickly if a conflict happened to occur..Pros:- Solid Ratio of attractive Woman shop at this location. For every 5 Shoppers 2 of them will beautiful Females

Well stocked. Friendly staff. But some cashiers are insecure at busy times. Monday and Friday special for dark meat chicken is great.

Given what this store has to endure because of its campus and downtown-periphery(ish) location --- especially on a Saturday night --- it is pretty amazing, the degree to which they keep a helpful and upbeat attitude. Not to mention how they have navigated the pandemic, that cannot have been an easy task in the slightest, and we all appreciate their efforts!

Exceptional customer service and a very clean facility. Conveniently located on West 18th Street a very busy area just outside the University district. Covid-19 compliant and plenty of parking

This Safeway doesnt even pretend to enforce the Covid-19 indoor mask mandate. When I was shopping, about a quarter of customers had no mask on at all (even improvised masks). When I wanted to check out, all the check stands had maskless people, and no social distancing was enforced, making it impossible to check out without being in the breathing space of a maskless person. This is all in full view of store employees and managers. (If you have compromised immunity and you want to end it all, this is the place to go-- suicide Safeway!)

Store is always clean whenever I go and th staff are helpful. Services are good, if pricy. What keeps this from five starts is how they usually only have one or two checkout lanes open and the lines for both this and self checkout spill over into isles.

As expected. Although be sure you dont have to use the restroom as you can get stuck in line to the only restroom they have that someone was using for 20 minutes😬

This particular store has super employees. They are very helpful and the store is kept so clean and well stocked. This can be a challenge for them too as they are very busy with college and high school students. They also clean up a lot from homeless individuals who frequently come by. I would give them 5 stars but dont because of corporate reasons outside the control of this branch site. Their sale prices frequently dont work through their apps. Their overall prices are a little higher than WinCo and sometimes Fred Meyers but usually lower than Whole Foods or Market of Choice.

Helpful and attentive staff. Love their seafood selection.

I tried to blow all the smoke up the vent in the bathroom but by the time I was ready to go the whole room was filled with smoke n I was feeling it. Then I got myself something to drink n some munchies, and I was good to go. One stop shop.

My favorite Safeway in Eugene..Always clean and well stocked and a great variety of everything.....But maybe one more register open after 7 A.M..

I got a really good deal on some really good steaks here last week, cooked em in the park along with a ton of grilled veggies and potatoes then I fed all the bums who were hanging out there and played some music with a few hobos then I hit the road again. Great times.

I am a senior citizen and NOT COMPUTER LITERATE.. I am soooooo TIRED OF NOT GETTING MY PURCHASES AT SALE PRICE. ex. Mac and chez kraft 17 cents a piece. I paid near 5 dollars. Highway robbery. Happens EVERY TIME I GO. Iget rides from neighbors and cannot go back to get refund. Cant you do something about this. Bet it happens to a lot of people. DEFINATELY NOT FAIR TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.

The deli has a wide variety of hot food I like the chicken dinner meals they also great deals on most every kind of food that is offered

Really big store with a lot of offerings. I live closer to another one, but I come here every so often when the one close to me is out of something or straight up doesnt carry it. The produce is always fresh and seems rotated often, and the self-checkout is a definite plus, at least for me, too.

All depending on what Safeway I go to... For example the campus Safeway is okay I just wished it was bigger and had better selection.

Used to be my main stop but stopped shopping here because nearly everytime I go theyre dead out of all the produce Im looking for or I take home some greens that are already passed their time. Not the safe way if you need fresh produce but the meat department is solid.

I wish the aisles werent so narrow. It feels suffocating inside with how small and outdated it is. It could definitely use a face-lift.

Horrible customer service. Seems to me if there is a line four people back with full carts, then it would be a good idea to open up another register. Instead employees were just hanging out.

I went to safeways on my way to work to pick up some lunch stuff

Small store, narrow aisles, good selection, and an eclectic mix of students, hippies, business people, and chic downtown dwellers.It feels like the urban center of the neighborhood.

I used their online pick up option. I wasnt impressed. I ordered my groceries around 3. The only available pick up time was 7pm. I was a little bummed by hey, it is what it is. I arrived a little past 7 and called to let them know I was there. The young lady on the phone said it would be about 20 more minutes and Id get an email. At 8:49 I called back and the young man who answered couldnt find my order. I was put on hold while he searched. Finally, he got back on the line to tell me it would be right out. 10 minutes later my groceries finally arrived. At 8:04 I left the parking lot. At 8:15 I received a message that my groceries were ready. Once I got home I noticed quite a few items missing. No mention of it from the employee who brought them to my car. No mention of the missing items on the message. I finally looked at the receipt that stated those items were out of stock. Wouldve been nice if the employee had mentioned this so I could stop and buy the missing items before I got home. Im not impressed at all. Could be a great service if they get it together.

Way too crowded... long checkout lines..

Went to this Safeway yesterday and realized I should have used the self-check out. Apparently Safeway hires meth addicts as cashiers now. The checker on stand 3 had sores on her face, meth mouth, gross red skin on hands and arms. And I’m supposed to eat the food I just bought! Ridiculous. I expect at THE VERY LEAST proper hygiene from someone who is obligated to touch my groceries.

Have had issues with Deli staff. The store seems to always be out of the one or two items Ill go there for but if I go up the road to the Albertsons (same company) its flawless. Clean fully stocked everytime...Why should I have to go to your website? You should have given me an email or phone number...

My wife and I love this Safeway, we shop here almost exclusively.Great prices, especially with the club card.They have awesome produce here, wife approved.Every time we come here Im taunted by their bakery, the delicious donuts and breads are telling me to take turn home. Almost every time, they win.The staff is very helpful and make conversation, which feels welcoming and genuine.Fantastic service, splendid food, great location.A+ in my book.

The sushi is AUTHENTIC and made fresh, always tastes amazing. The fish they have in the sushi isn’t even sold in the store because it’s so high end. Every time I go in the same sushi chefs are there and they are always super friendly and willing to make anything you want.

Took my mother to get shots for international travel... she was happy with the place..

Most of the prices are pretty expensive but I got a club card since their member egg prices are one of the cheapest in Eugene

The employees are very nice and the location is convenient. Im giving it three stars because of the price. Safeway is much more expensive than alternative stores. You can save a lot of money by going to Winco instead. Save yourself some money and go elsewhere.

While I have never had a bad experience here, many of the people I work with have. I work with the unhoused and get regular complaints about being treated poorly while shopping. I understand that we have many people in our area that are difficult for businesses, but many of these people are just trying to get by and deserve to be treated like any other person.

Great store with a selection of items that I can not find other places. The meat department in particular is fantastic with selection and staff. Joshua is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Totally depends on the location but overall we like it. Make sure to check the weekly ad- they have killer deals on NY Strip, T-Bone, and Ribeye steaks from time-to-time.Check out the picture and let’s all collectively solve this riddle!!!

We just finished shopping at this location and, fact be known, were running late towards closing. We got there at 11:30 and rushed around and KEPT AN EYE on the clock to make sure we were out on time. The cashier was nice enough bc she was given at least 10 minutes to check us out. We also helped bag our food. There were several other patrons in the store after us too. When we approached the exit it was 11:56 and the RUDE manager had to aggressively, pompously, scolded us and reminded us they closed at midnight. Im sorry but if you say your opened until midnight~ your opened until midnight and we in no way felt we were imposing on their precious little schedule. I could even understand them being upset if we left at midnight or after but thats just plain rude poor customer service. I wont be returning to this location again. And Id expect his supervisor to have a talk with him regarding his ignorant attitude. This shouldnt go on like this.. Thank you very much.

This store seems to be more crowded than most. The isles seem narrower. The checkers are friendly and most things are easy to find.

Just wish for more inexpensive prices, not to mention how badly the employees are treated by management!

Went in to the bathroom to change my newborn no changing station bathroom had paper towels everywhere and it smelt like they never clean the bathroom never coming back again

Since covid scare, Safeway 18th street has been my market most of the time. It is far from my home but worth the drive. Smaller Safeway is very near me but they dont have all I need. Easier to one stop shop at 18th street than shop multiple stores.Staff is friendly. Shelves are stocked. Meat, produce and bakery are pretty good (5 stars from me). Sometimes very busy but i never have to wait long.Pioneer Parkway is actually my favorite store but it is so far away I have to pack a lunch to survive the drive.

Though I have mostly been using the pharmacy, being a fire victim and having to replace meds, the staff has been the best!!! Though busy at times people are good about wearing mask, you be good too and it will be a good shopping experience. 😎

Not the friendliest Safeway. Also, very slow! There was no bagger, so the cashier had to bag the groceries and he more than took his time doing so.
