Lovely customer service and an awesome fabric selection!I came by to have someone take a look at my Brother sewing machine, they were so helpful! Thankfully it was nothing more than a threading oopsie.Will definitely show my friends this place!

This store is amazing have a good selection of sewing machines, and the fabric choices are beautiful.

I called ahead of time to see if the issue i was having was something they could help me with. I talked to Stan and he said bring it in and we can take a look at it. When I got there he came over right away and was very friendly. I am brand new to sewing and no nothing about my machine. He sat and showed me how to thread it and let me practice. He even found me the correct foot for it. He went above and beyond and everyone I interacted with there was very friendly and helpful. Stan did an amazing job explaining things to me and I will recommend this place to my friends.

Nice store, went over fabric section, it was complete.Didnt look over machines or notions.Low selection of precuts.

My wife has Brother sewing machine and has been plagued with a recent issue. After three trips to a shop on north River Road without a solution, we visited Paramont. Associate Banner diagnosed and fixed the problem in less five minutes. FIVE MINUTES! My wife got excellent advise on how to avoid the same problem in the history. On the whole, it was delightful visit.

Great fabrics and supplies. Just wish the ladies were more friendly and helpful. I tend to not shop here because of that.

My 25 year old Viking broke down for good and I had to replace it. I bought a Viking Sapphire because it came closest to meeting my sewing needs. I don’t plan on using decorative stitches, and didn’t use them beyond trying them out in my old Viking. The new Viking immediately have me problems: The auto thread cutter only works 1/4 of the time, the needle threader rarely works either, and isn’t helpful. The worst issue is that the bobbin jams or the upper thread breaks regularly.I called after owning the machine a week to say that I had tried it out and was having difficulty with its functioning. I was told they don’t accept returns and to sign up for a class, the first being there weeks off, during Covid. I don’t need a class, and I follow the directions exactly as in the manual. Many features are the save as my old machine. Of the ones that are new, sometimes they work, sometimes not. I would say this is another case of a manufacturer adding too many unnecessary features and not ensuring the basic features work well.It is extremely bad business in my opinion to not offer a return (especially within a week or so of purchase) on a machine that costs over $2000 and is something the buyer needs to be comfortable with. No matter how much you try it out in the shop, it will feel different on a different surface, and it’s impossible to ensure it will run well once it is used over time.

Best customer service! The lady that help us answered every question we had with great knowledge. Showed me different options. A homeless man walks in and was over the top rude, in her face rude. She handed that really well. I was blown back by the whole thing. Again great service. I will definitely be giving this shop my business. Thanks again Banner youve been a great help.

They have a lot of sewing machines but the are NOT friendly. I did buy a machine from them but they didnt seem to care one way or the other and acted like I was bothering them. I wish I had given my business to a different store but they were convenient and my old machine was broken.I will not return.

Havent sewn for years. Received a new machine as a gift and went in here to find some project components. My daughter and I were greeted warmly upon entry to the store. Diane assisted us (while taking care of others) and helped educate us on some basic knowledge we are lacking. She was great at helping everyone at once! Thank you Diane. Hand down, the best service I have ever received at a sewing shop. I went in once and told them I was just researching for my next machine and they showed me everything and more that I wanted to see but didnt pressure me to buy! When I was ready to buy they helped me make sure I was getting the right machine for my needs and future growth. I was able to sew on the machines and really feel confident in my decision. The added discounts and perks of purchasing from them is a plus too! But above all I know that I am working with knowledgeable people who want to put my needs first!

Knowledgeable, but not very friendly

Great place. I sent my sewing machine to them. They just fixed without charging a penny. Told us that it needs only oil. The other place we took our machine (Richs sew & vac) was going to charge us $140 for the same job. Thank you Paramount. You have good business practice.

WOW - what a difference a salesperson can make! I am currently in the market for a sewing machine and found the one I wanted. I got the grand tour of the brands and features of each in the price range I was looking for. No one is working on commission so I felt like my salesperson was more interested in getting me into the machine that met my needs (and exceeded my expectations) rather than the most expensive machine available. Banner was an excellent salesperson and I will be returning soon to take home my new machine. A nice little selection of quilting fabrics, extensive selection of thread and notions made me feel like I had definitely selected the right dealer to move forward in my sewing projects after 20 years of being away from serious stitching. Cant wait to get started!!

Paramount Sewing sets a high bar for excellent customer service and friendly, knowledgeable staff. After sale service is just a great as before sale and there is no pressure to buy anything. Now the new owners have brought in additional lines of machines so all the top machines can be found in one place in town.They want happy lifelong customers. They got one here!!

Sells vacuum bags for over twice the price of other retailers and wouldnt return less than 5 minutes after purchase. My fault for not checking online but was told I dont make the prices small business doesnt choose their own prices? Quite ridiculous in my opinion.

While the website say Open from 10 a.m. today (Saturday), the store is actually closed for the ENTIRE LABOR DAY WEEKEND. Think maybe that would be a good thing to put on the website? Same thing occurred on 4th of July weekend.

I had been hunting online for an inexpensive machine (after previously having a viking as well and selling it years before). I was concerned about shipping a machine and if it was plastic inside rather than a metal frame.I decided to check in at this local store (after seeing their booth at the Home and Garden show). Amelia was the kind employee who took her time to answer questions I had about the machines and was very knowledgeable.They didnt have a machine in my lower price range, however, one of the Vikings was on an amazing sale, but what REALLY sold me on the investment: The 3 years of free cleanings/maintenance and the free classes of get to know your machine. Cleanings are probably what would have saved my previous machine and my relationship, and the cost of the cleanings (even at once a year) will exceed the price I paid for the machine so its completely worth it.After having it over a week, I was able to find some great videos on youtube of how to do everything on my machine and it works better than I could have hoped for (BUTTON HOLES FTW).I really look forward to going back into the store, for supplies, for maintenance and for classes. I was really pleased on how kind everyone was and willing to help me regardless if we would purchase or not.

Ron (repair guy) has gone above and beyond for my companies sewing machines. He keeps my Bernina machines running perfectly. Thank you Paramount!
