The last mall in the area. Its still great though, full of fun stores. The major improvement over the years has been the addition of great food places. It is hard to review a mall without mentioning stores but I can tell you it has a roof, has heating and AC, something the Springfield mall is now lacking under its joke of new investors.VRC is a great place to take your whole family.

Many years ago, this used to be the classy mall. A gathering place for youth and olds alike. These days, like something out of time, it is a remnant of a different era. They still have a food court, a theater, a few big anchor department stores and plenty of room for mall walkers. Whoever is running this place has managed to keep it afloat during the Age of Decline of the American Mall and keep it relevant (at least to the bougie white folks who enjoy such things). It is comforting to know that, should I desire it, I can get a mall pretzel or a cell phone case or a cheap weird knife between the hours of 10 and 8, or a little later on a Saturday.

I love the Valley River Center. Ive been going to VRC since the 70s . I hope they continue to stay open forever. I love going there for clothes,movies, video game, people watching. Thanks Mom. The only thing I can think of is the food court needs better restaurants. The food is poor. Not Good. The whole thing needs to be redone. I hope this criticism helps in a positive way. Good shopping experience. Most shops are filled and although theyre mostly the standard stores it still has a good variety. They seem to be doing well. The customer service. Actually had an employee asks what we were looking for as we came in the door and were looking for a map. He guided us right to the food court with his instructions.

If you have kids they now have remote control power wheels you can drive your kids around in. Awesome. 20 bucks for half hour. My son loves cars

Loads of places in the store and a decent food court. But some of the closes stores were really stuffy and needed better ventilation.

Has cooler places than it did 7 years ago. Still nothing SUPER cool but for eugene its a good mall.

Nail La Belle located. In the Valley River Center is a great place to get a mani/pedi.I got a gel fill and Tracy was the technician she was polite and careful when removing the old polish before filling and shaping and polishing. Professional and the wait was less than 15 minutes. I would recommend this place if you want to get pampered.The Valley River Center is mall with a variety of stores for your shopping convenience. They have a play area in the middle for kids to play and parents to take a load off and rest in between stores. They also have a great food court. A fun place to be if you ever visit Eugene, Oregon.

Soooo good and fresh, and the breakfast burrito is the BEST breakfast burrito I have had...and it is good for lunch and dinner...so, I buy 2!!

Had a decent selection of clothing stores, including an American Eagle, H&M, Forever21, Pacsun, and more. Wasnt too crowded on a Saturday afternoon.

Its a good place too go but the ladys at the soup bowl the last time I was there were laughing at customers while pointing fingers not very respectful

I miss coming here so much, Ive been living a few cities away the past several years but whenever I do come back to the valley I always have the urge to visit the mall. Valley River Center is also an important part of history here in Lane County to me, its a huge iconic place.

It was easy to get done what I wanted to do. Its clean. Im dont like going to the mall so it was nice that its so clean and easy to go there.

Its a nice shopping mall in Eugene. Visited this mall while traveling to Portland. Its has many standard brands. Went there for Macys. There are many other shopping stores and restaurants around this Mall. Definitely worth checking out if you are in that area for shopping. Easy to find parking spots.

The clothes at the mall are just so ugly and expensive for plus size people. I will have to find something online.

It was ok. Panda express girl was a bit stressed because their freezer was out and they were having a transfer food between the place next door and them. We ordered the 2-3 item plates before noticing they barely had three items prepared. The items that were out there look very old and there wasnt even enough to complete an order, again probably being due to the freezer being broken. The highly stressed girl was very short and snippety and had had her fill Im being nice to customers for their day. If you go hopefully youll have a better experience.

Very small shopping center with a smaller food court. But l did have fun shopping with my nieces. But we had to settle with Panda Express for our lunch. I guess Im just spoiled with big shopping centers in Arizona with big food courts and lots of choices.

Its nice to still be able to go inside a mall, has a play area for little ones, nice selection of stores.

I would give it more stars but the karaoke wouldnt work and it took forever for assistance and there was an employee who kept following my group around at random making sure we were over 18 which would be fine once but happened a few times and seemed weird.

I love Valley River! I have been going there since it opened. My first mall experience ever. There is a nice variety of shops and the customer service is very good!

Lane Bryant and Cinnabon; or Lane Bryant because of Cinnabon. Great service at both stores during a weekday mid-morning errand.

Just went to get badly needed glasses ordered. The mall required masks and people were for the most part compliant. But its a mall, and I dont like malls.

My favorite place to go on any given day, whether it be with friends, family, or just for a me day. I rarely leave empty handed.

Was a nice stop as used to shop her when I was a teenager brought back memories of fun time there with family that have passed.

This is a must place to go for all your rock and gem pieces. Friendly helpful staff and prices are reasonable

It was just a quick trip to gamestop to pick up some plush pokemon that we put on hold. But a good experience. It seemed like a nice mall with some good stores. Clean not too crowded for a Saturday and alot of people wearing their mask. Not impressed with the bathroom I used,I wanted to change our sons diaper, but the changing station was just a belt on the bathroom counter. Not changing my son on a wet, hard counter, rite next to the sink. They might have had another, more family friendly bathroom somewhere. Dont know.

Usually go there for the movie theater but when Google searching my other favorite places I didnt see them and am not sure if they are gone.

Lots of stores, but the arcade their is amazing.

Lots to do here, and they have my favorite arcade: Round1! Don’t come here on a low budget, there will be lots of things you’ll want.

I met a friend for lunch at BJs bar and grill. Was decent food, kinda boring deco... Normal bar fare.

Great place to take the kids and walk around. Childrens museum on the 2nd level. Fun for everyone!

Clean and bright. Just a disappointment that the Lids is always closed. I mean...theyre open....but theyre ALWAYS closed. Not very good business practice. And I wish the food court was a little nicer and had more options. Only complaint. Super friendly staff is every store I visited.

Geez I havent been to valley River in 10 years its kind of empty and its mostly just places for teeny bopper fashion now but its still there and you can still go to JCPenneys or whatnot. I havent checked out the food court but if sarku Japan is still there that place is pretty yummy.

Not much out of the ordinary here.If you need general mall shopping its a decent mall.Nice that they have a theater here too.Not too noisy, good food, places for kids.I stay for the pretzels.

I go here for Visionworks, but it is a clean and safe experience to look around. My younger friends always find nice clothes; and remark on the number of sales at any given time.

Just a shopping mall. Didnt do any walking around. Was in a hurry and had to do what we had to and get out.

Website says masks required as per local ordinances, yet there are plenty of Kens & Karens NOT wearing masks, mall cops are where?, and admin says they rely on customers to follow state rules to keep each other safe. So, why have rules, then?! Happily boycotting VRC.😒

Lots of greats shops, great food options even for just a stop in.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon looking for the Body Jewelry Company which is now called One World with an enormous selection of amazing jewelry products from bracelets and earrings to 6+ inch plugs, necklaces and tons more. The overall VRC is a great mall that is clean and not over crowded. 👌

Its a pretty great mall they have all the clothing places you need they have plenty of food vendors they even have a big round one arcade

Verizon Store very efficient. Installed new sim card and phone is repaired. Picked up take out at Panda Express - delicious. No friendly faces in mall. Wouldnt make for a fun shopping day!

Pennys was the only store I was in. Very impressed for a Pennys.

Has alot of my favorite places there including hot topic, fuego, Boba head, gamestop, and many more

I enjoy looking and buying things in a place that is local but everything has raised in price in my opinion and makes it more difficult to purchase. The jobs here for me dont pay alot so I think I actually did more looking then buying. I Wanted a hat from the store called Lids but I thought 35dollars was a little to much.

Its lost some business due to covid and it shows.Its sad to see some old favorites gone but hopefully some better stuff will be showing up eventually.

Not many stores for adult clothes. Need more type of food in the food court. Cinnamon rolls are the only thing I buy in the food cart. I cant eat anything else. I love Hallmark and The Elephant Trunk. Build a bear too. Wish it had its full size store back.

Smaller mall, which I like. They have several shops I frequent. Love Journeys for crocs, Vans, Docs and Birks. Plus Jamba Juice!

Prepare for a line due to capacity on weekends and Friday night. Go early on those days otherwise you might not be able to get in before closing. By the time I got in I had 20 mins to play and leave, had to wait an hour to get in.

Im much more beautiful well put together facility than it was 25 30 years ago. Very clean very elegant and so many beautiful things to buy. As a teenager I worked here 25 years ago and it was a great place to work and its always been a great place to shop

Love the VRC. Nice place to shop and eat.

Most of the food court is closed, everyone I encountered seemed stressed and overworked (one girl at Wetzel Pretzel looked like she was Seconds from tears), all in all just an unhappy scene. Im sure its all to do with covid, will update in future months.

I didnt hang out very long in Valley River Center because I just popped in for a minute to get me a box of delicious Cinnabon cinnamon rolls with five containers of extra frosting, mmm mmm good!

Bathtub clogged up and Toliet overflowed at 4 am. Went and complained and no one really seemed to care. I can get this kind of place downtown for about $200 less. DONT STAY HERE
