I have been shopping at the Barger Ave., Eugene, Oregon Winco since it opened. Before that, I shopped there when it was called Waremart- at the corner of Garfield and West 11th in Eugene.Winco is not going to give you a pretentious boutique grocery experience like Market of Choice or Safeway will. It doesn’t pretend to be anything other than it is: an employee owned warehouse grocery store. You can pay with debit card, check, or cash. They will not take credit cards. You also have to bag your own groceries. This is part of the reason that they are able to offer dramatically lower prices than any other grocery store in the Eugene area. Another convenient feature is the fact that they are open 24 hours a day. So no matter what shift you work, you can go to Winco and get your grocery shopping done ANY time of day.Another unique feature of Winco is the massive bulk section. I’ve checked, almost every single time on every single item in the bulk section that I buy I save significantly over prepackaged items and products, and I also really appreciate being able to buy the exact amount I wish to have. They have a decent bulk spice section that I just love. Huge savings to buy my herbs and spices that way. Also, they have a great selection of bulk roasted coffee, Red Brick brand. The last time I looked it was $6.98 a pound. That’s an ACTUAL 16 oz. pound, not the pre-pack 12 ounce packages that any brand of coffee is now generally packed in. You can buy whole bean and grind it right there in their machines, or take it home and grind it in your own grinder. You can also buy red brick coffee prepackaged and pre-ground… And I’m pretty sure their pre-packed coffees are 12 ounces but I can’t swear to that.If you go at peak shopping time which would probably be starting at about 2:30 pm and running until about 7 pm, it can be pretty congested. But if you shop outside those times, it’s not bad... oh, also, I try to avoid doing my grocery shop at Winco on or around the first of the month, and especially on a Sunday. It’s a madhouse then.Whatever annoyances there are about the atmosphere of shopping at Winco or perhaps the crowds/traffic congestion at peak times, the savings makes it worth it to walk in there and get the shopping done. You will save money, and it will be a significant savings. The sale banners below were taken by me in March 2021 at a local Winco. These are examples of the kind of pricing you can find at Winco.

Mary Valentine, I wish it was still Waremart on 11th & Garfield, they had a lot better food... Live Lobster tank, Fish market & Black Tiger Shrimp... Impeccable wine selection... Everything was good Quality. Great import Cheese selection.They have deals now at lower prices, and you can find decent stuff... but their is a drawback in service and quality... Not many people remember Waremart... its sad.

Good store, freindly, always has what I want, and Lots of checkers to get you checked out.

This is my go-to market when it is available it is a warehouse type setup but the produce is very good and the meat I have never had an issue with the prices I think are very good. Usually the people are very good and caring, they are part owners I think the longer they stay the more they own. You have to bag your own groceries and they do not take credit cards but the prices reflect that give it a try

Just your typical Winco foods grocery store with everything you love. It has everything youd need as far as foods go. All pretty cheap too and you can get things in bulk. So its a good place to shop of you want to save. They also have nom-cheap items there too, of course. Id highly recommend!

I will be doing a price comparison between WinCo, Safeway and Market of Choice after my last trip to WinCo. Im sure I saved easily 25% or more on the items I purchased. Other than the checkout Lanes being kind of a fiasco when I can use the self check Lanes its the same experience as Safeway with great prices, clean store, plenty of room to roam with a shopping cart.Anxiously awaiting the new store on Coburg road yes in my backyard.

Employee owned! Great values. Huge selection of name brand and hugh quality brand foods. Lots of produce. Giant selection of bulk foods and great cooking ingredients. Cash, Debit or EBT only though.

3 star rating because of the fact that they stop selling alcohol at 1:30am. A bit of an anomaly. The service here is exceptional and facility is clean. Always super market low price leader.

Employees are always nice.Great selection of groceries.But, we have had issues lately with box knife cuts in our groceries.

The lady in the deli was so nice and helpful. I wish I had caught her name but Im pretty sure she was new. She gave me tips on how to cook my salmon. Her positivity was downright beautiful.

Honestly i hate coming here when its busy. I get suuuuuuuper anxious coming here when there are a lot of people. But the prices and quality of food are unbeatable. They sell some things in bulk which is nice when needing to stock up.There are always employees in every aisle which make it easier when youre needing help to find something.The best time to come would probably in the evenings Mon to Thurs and NOT weekends.

Great store! Pretty friendly & helpful staff. Stocked well, with fresh products. Pricing is great on most things, competitive on others. Store & the restroom is clean. Employees are always busy, not standing around or goofing off like the ones at the JC Safeway do. We drive from Harrisburg, which isnt too great a distance, to shop here. We would drive farther if we had to.

My favorite local grocery store. I can find everything I need. They have the best bulk foods section in the area and the prices are lower than other stores. Employee owned stores are the best ones to support!

Need to shop here more often. Prices usually beat anybody else. The store atmosphere is actually nicer than Fred Meyer. (Why did Fred Meyer turn their stores into aircraft hangers? Cold and loud.) Watch for the green sale tags.

So dirty in the store. The workers stocking leave no room to shop. A couple aisles I could not get a cart through, just barely my body. The stockers make it clear the shoppers are in their way. Why dont they sell laundry stain remover? They have oxy clean and thats all. Other than laundry stain remover the selection is good. Prices vary. Some things over priced and others reasonable. If you are not shopping for just the well priced items youll spend as much as a cleaner store where you do not have to bag your own groceries. This store will not be where I shop very often.

Have some pretty good buys there. Staff are usually always super helpful and my favorite you can recycle and get money for cans and bottles until 11pm at night.

WinCo is the holy grail of grocery stores. So many options at cheap rates, and the WinCo brand itself is decent. Their bulk section is unparalleled. Only downside is no credit cards, which I can live with.

Have to watch what you buy to make sure you are getting a good deal.

Apparently we only follow CDC guidelines when it represses people. Im full vaccinated and still hassled to wear a mask. If the goal is to get the county and state vaccinated then we need to see a light at the end of the tunnel with these bleeping masks! If you want to require something other than the CDC guidelines you diligently followed for the past year and a half, then require all to wear masks during your at risk hours. I wont return. Your competitors are happy to take my money and not stop me for following CDC guidelines.

Its a decent bargain grocery store.

Parking can be difficult. There is handicapped parking and they are ADA compliant. If your able park some distance away from entrance to avoid parking lot traffic and door dings! They stock meat with labels past expiration date and the employee insisted to me “that’s all we got. It’s probably fine though.” Just because it expired only 2 weeks ago. Check out their deli meat & deli egg rolls to see what I mean.Barf.Only buy prepackaged food that’s not expired from Winco. They literally don’t care about expiration dates.

Your in arizona winaco go figure all I can say is their for real and have been in the Orans Oregon family history for longer then any.So then its employee owned and their stock options are limited compared to the older employee stock options very six figure returns.I now this since my deli manager brother in laws reap rewards heavy from his thirty plus years.Still whatever the employees returns winco has established a fair.pricing system were as its the volume of sales to customer that drives their low pricing.Im not at home in Oregon when I return until I see my dollars spend wisely, while enjoying the green label discounts.And rewarded with multiple bags of groceries for a c-note!Wish we had their presence in the philippines, It would virtual make our life complete.

Had been shopping on and off at this location since 2000. Noticed a huge difference in employees and the way I was treated last week when I took in some cans to recycle. Funny , because Id been into that store about 30 times since the lockdown. Never once do I wear a face diaper. I believe in breathing clean , healthy air. Not trying to have an upper respiratory infection from wearing that face diaper will increases that chance by 13 times just by wearing one. Anyways the day I take in cans however ( not spending hundreds on food ) I was refused service. Literally. Yet go in couple days later to buy food, guess what, no problem.

I usually come in late at night, and you cant beat the prices compared to other local 24 hour mass-market grocers in the area. This location is also employee-owned, and it shows in the great customer service offered here. Josh, (the front cashier with red hair that works graveyard) is awesome, and seems to always remember me when I come in.

We love Winnco. The prices are cheaper than the other stores close by and we love the bulk item section.

Love that its 24 hours. I can take my time. Always the last stop before heading back to Florence. Also has working clean bathrooms.

Open late for night owls. Cheapest prices on Simple Green cleaner. I get most of my food here! Its pretty easy to pay using debit and they knock off a few cents if you bring your own bags.

Its a great place but I have to say I want specifically to buy a 2 and 1/2 gallon water jug that they used to sell their long time ago and they didnt have it so Im a little disappointed but they still is a great place to shop.

I can always find what I need there. The people who work there always work hard, especially when they are stocking the shelves at night.A really good deli. Sure, you might not find super fancy things, but you will find what you need at a very reasonable price.

Huge store, employee owned company, great prices, fresh produce. The bulk section is my favorite, so many different selections. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I shop here very regularly. They are doing an excellent job keeping the store safe and clean during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Great Job!

The staff are awesome, they are quick to respond and the store is always well cared for. The prices are phenomenal. The foods always dated and stocked properly. The carts are always taken care of and accessible. The store is the perfect temperature. The deli is amazing. I seriously couldn’t say enough about this wonderful store, even the parking lot is great for old timers like me.

WinCo is still my favorite place to get groceries. Though not a fan of bagging my own groceries I appreciate the way they take care of their employees, prices are still good, and they remain focused on food instead of trying to branch off into other things like other places.

Very well stocked but didnt have enough cash registers open. The place was packed and there was 2 checkers and the line all the way to the back of the store almost.

Great service and the selection is very good. The quality of their produce has improved as well... that used to be a problem for me and kept me from shopping their for my overall grocery needs, but Ill be giving them more opportunity going forward.

I had gone to winco to shop for drinks for my members of a car group that i was in. I didnt know that a couple had decided to be unruly revving their engine or one of them had skidded in the gravel parking area. So instead of telling the unruly ones to leave the premises like normal people. They had decided to tell everyone to leave lumping me within that group and publicly humiliating me. My family and i had gone to winco food stores across oregon for many many years. After what i had told my family. We have decided to no longer shop there. Trust me my family and friends will no longer be bringing them any business. Goodluck guys.

Everything was good except not enough cashiers. So the lines were long and we had to wait around 10 to 20 minutes to get out of the store.

I walked in with my service animal, she has a clean blanket that she sits on in the cart. They told me I cant have her in the cart even on her blanket. This is the first store that has done this to me. How am I supose to shop when I have to hold my dog. So people putting their kids in the basket with poop diapers is supose to be cleaner than my blanket. Humm.. will never ever come back to this dirty store. I gotta say the personal was very rude with attitude .

Our favourite location for now at least until the new Coberg Road location opens up. Friendly staff, well stocked, the best prices on 97 percent of all items. 24 hours so one doesnt have to ever rush to do the dreaded grocery shopping. This location always seems less crowded during peak times compared to the Springfield location on Olympic.

Shopping at WinCo is always a joy. Besides having the best prices and super large selection they also are great because the staff is always in a great mood and super helpful. This is probably because they are employee owned. I recommend WinCo to everyone who wants to save on their Groceries and maybe doesnt need the large amounts one gets at Costco. And to that end WinCo has an extensive Bulk foods section so you can get exactly how much you need. Their store brand products are always of very high quality and the store organization is well thought out. One quick note, as part of their method to keep prices down they dont accept credit cards. Just something to keep in mind. All in all WinCo has my recommendation.

Winco has always been great for me. I love the balk food section. They order me 4 -25lb boxes of unsalted peanuts for my 80+ squirrels I feed daily. Great selection. Great helpful friendly employees.

WinCo has great prices and its employee owned. Comprable to Walmart but from a company you can feel good about supporting and with a better selection locally. Be prepared to bag your own groceries (not so bad if youre expecting it).

This is a 24hr location. Ive been shopping here for years and havent come across anyone being negative.The employees are always pleasant and willing to help!!! Always worth the trip in.They also have motorised wheelchairs available to use-there is often always one available.
