My visit began the same as arriving at any grocery store, as there is nothing that separates Market of Choice from their competitors (other than the overpriced selection). I found the products I wanted with the exception of a few name brand items that this store did not carry.When I arrived at the check out line I placed my items on the conveyor belt and the cashier began to scan them in the slowest manner I have ever seen. She began to tell me about all the bad customers she had that day and how annoying working there is. I understand that people have bad days, but I am there to get my food for the week and leave. I do not care how rude your manager is to you, or that someone was upset with the way you talked to them. In the future I recommend hiring people that talk less and work harder.I have been coming to this store on a weekly basis for the past few years. I think I will be taking my business elsewhere due to the fact that I’ve seen the overall customer service of the store go down recently.The prices aren’t worth the money and the staff is obnoxious and incompetent.I know this review won’t change anything. This is just how Market of Choice is.

Well-stocked and staffed by very pleasant and helpful people!

The prices are a bit higher than some other stores, but they have an amazing selection of healthy alternatives. They also have air conditioning, which is nice in such heat. The water fountain is shut off due to Covid, so theres nowhere to fill up a water bottle as I found out after walking for a few hours in the heat. Would recommend if you are looking for food to fit a certain diet or to generally browse, but maybe not if youre looking for something that you could get elsewhere

The bakery here did my wedding cake and cupcakes and they were amazing!! The cream cheese frosting was delicious. The bakers were kind and helpful. We had poppyseed with lemon filling and vanilla with marionberry and both were great! Very much recommend this market of choice bakery.

Best place in town to get a to go breakfast. A little over $5 for a scrumptious mushroom, ham, and cheese frittata and four slices of bacon. And you dont have to wait! Its hot, fresh, and ready to go!

Great location to find sustainable, delicious and allergy friendly foods. Looks like a Fred Meyers and Whole Food mix

Not crowded, no employees pestering you or trying to sneak ( follow ) you around like youre going to steal whatever in their head, register has no lines really, anytime I wind up going there.

I got lunch from the deli, everyone was very nice and helpful. Tha cashier was also very polite.

Great sausage options and some good beers. Enjoyed the sauces and add-ons especially. Not the usual stuff you find at other places that sell dogs and sausages.

Very expensive but has almost everything. I actually got Mirin that doesnt have weird artificial stuff in it. The only grocery store that has sushi worth eating. Also their coffee stand has very good mochas and hot chocolate thanks to their use of ganache. I do recommend the pastries (especially the Sailor Jacks) but do not recommend the cakes as they tend to make them too sweet for my tastes. But then, so does Sweet Life and they certainly do a lot of business in town so maybe thats just me.

I tried the Shelby sandwich for the first time today and Im so glad I did! The combination of the blackberry jam, basil and cheeses is phenomenal. They cook it to the perfect crispness. Its absolutely delicious. 10/10!

Carries a wide variety of products I cant find at other stores. The bakery produces some really delicious breads. Like the vegan croissants with their fruit filling. The meat dept usually has the cuts Im looking for. Lots of drinks and snacks to be found. The everything Ive tried in the deli is delicious.

I used love shopping here.Today I saw a dog (not service) walking down the isle. At the register I told them about it and they said it’s normal and dogs are welcome.Edit: Manager said that it was a mistake but I keep seeing dogs in the store like it’s a pet shop.

I am a vegetarian. The organic veggie section is top notch here. Most people complain about price. I look at an organic cucumber for example and think to myself, How can they grow, harvest and present in the store to me for that cheap? Found everything I needed, excellent help at the seafood counter. I love the tiny bites of cheese they have in the very back of the cheese area. So cool to try a few bites of a new kind to see if you like it. This one was soooo good!

It was a bitter sweet vibe there the food was how should i say overpriced a bit of a downgrade since 2011 with the food i mean there micromanaged my dad when he was looking at the pizza 7 dollars a slice BTW they would make false accusations about him stealing plus they pay workers like 7.50 a hour plus i had to pay 7.22 dollars for a ounce and the 12 year old employees does not keep the place clean however i love the fish pizza coffee steak cake and veggies and they have some nice employees but they arent always perfect that is just my experience

My special treat is to go to Market of Choice for cheeses, olives, cured meats, a bottle of wine and a slice of black and white cake. It always picks me up on a bad day.

Clean store, super friendly staff, homey type environment and beautiful interior/exterior. Down side is the super high prices for everything. All foods taste great, great quality...etc... its the best quality of food on the market...however you have to pay through the nose for it. hence the down grade by two stars. if they were really about the locals....could help by dropping prices a bit...little less profit...more local friendly.

A great place to shop. I visited from our of state and was treated like family because my brother is a regular. Large selection of items at reasonable prices with solid hours and friendly employees. Couldnt recommend it more.

My wife and I love going there on a rainy evening to share a dessert and coffee while playing a game of Yachtzee. Never disappoints. Yummy stuff and warm customer service.

Friendly cashiers, great organic foods, foods you cant find other places. Since I found market of choice years ago its been one of my favorite grocery stores. Another thing is that they have grass-fed beef and nice healthy portions that arent too big for their meats.

Love this store! I especially love the company size so if I forget something thats on the other side of the store its just a short walk. The quality of their merchandise is first rate with lots of variety and the employees are friendly and helpful.

Clean, good selection, maybe slightly higher prices than other stores in the neighborhood.

I love the store for the ability to go in and get what i need quickly. Meat counter has wonder ful meats ready to cook. Stuffed chicken breast with pine nuts and stuffing. Wonderful for 2 people. Fresh fish too.Bulk foods with great teas and fresh ground butters. Organic fruits and veggies.

OK! This store is the bomb! Usually 9-10. They are the only store i have seen that can handle the bombardment of students at lunch in the area. and they get bombarded!!! the high school is across the street and everyone get food here. they seem to be able to handle the load very well. Amazing staff, helpful, pretty fast at making food for the kids. GOOD JOB!!!!

With social distancing, seating is limited but the store is clean and sanitized well. Coffee shop is open for to go orders, good pastries, and muffins

Always helpful, friendly staff. Quality products, especially fish/seafood and produce. The rare times I have had issues with quality, it was made right with full refunds, once without a receipt. My favorite grocery store!

My go-to choice for bakery delights and bulk spices. I like that its a Northwest chain and that they feature lots of local products. Good selection of housewares, too. Try their deli when youre tired of Whole Foods, too. Some interesting choices.

Excellent store, with a little bit of the best of everything. I had been looking all over Eugene for lactose-free 1/2 & 1/2, and finally found it here. Great selection of GlutenFree and vegan products. Helpful staff and nice sales. This is going on my permanent shopping list!

Market of Choice carries a good amount of organic food although not necessarily locally sourced. They also have a great selection of other products food and otherwise. There are several stores in Eugene. The oldest and largest is on 29th and Willamette. They are all good about returns.

Market of choice always has great selection, decent prices, and so many healthy options. I would say that they have better food to eat in the store (pizza and tons more options) than any other grocer I know. And their pizza is good too.

Great store, my cashier didnt seem to be having a good day. He was a person in Charge. They also changed their chip reader, so you have to wait until the cashier if completely finished to enter any information in, so I felt like I was inconveniencing him.

The only problem I have is deciding which desserts to buy. A wonderful store. My kids love coming here.

No worries, drop into the Deli on Willikenze across from Sheldon High School; the store is open until 11:00 p.m. Their Deli servers take their time and get you exactly what you want from their large selection of freshly-made food 🍔🍱🍖 and they let you decide how much you want per serving. Upfront they have a seating area with microwave, utinsels, napkins, excellent 💯 % filtered water, and you can be seated in a quiet, windowed-area while you relax and enjoy the food 🍔🍱🍖 you didnt have time to prepare, but love 💘 to eat. Let them pamper you! 😀

Market of Choice is my adult toy store. I love everything about it except the prices! But everything, the ready to heat meal options, the deli bar, the wine, beer and cider alcoves, the gourmet cheese corner...love, love, love. Build one in Salem!!!

Bulk food variety is excellent. Produce is good as well. Deli/Bakery is One of the best around.

I have twice had to return food to Market of Choice because of mold. Once a box of scones, got mold before expiration date in room temperature; once almond bread ($8.99), kept in fridge. Both times just within a few days after purchase. They made it very difficult to return, trying to find excuses. I was shocked to hear the store clerk telling me that I should contact the bread maker, a third party. I told her that you are the one that sold it to me. For a store that is expensive, I am very disappointed with its customer service/return policy.

Clean, lots of choices, pretty average MoC (which is a good thing!). Appreciate the deli hang out is next to wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. Yummy sushi.

Great place to go with a wide variety of food products no when I ask for gluten-free products at the bakery the lady was a little snooty and just pointed across the store and said thats where the gluten-free products are had trouble finding them once I did there also was quite a variety of stuff there you might want to go in looking your best as they make you feel uncomfortable if you dont

My favorite MoC in town! Friendliest staff and fellow patrons. And the parking lot is so much easier to handle compared to the South Eugene location.

This store cannot grasp the concept of keeping items in stock. Ive been purchasing bulk nutritional yeast for years here, but within the last six months its hit and miss. Yesterday, I saw that its been removed from the shelf completely! I had already spoken with two different employees regarding this problem...and thats their answer? Just discontinue the item if its so popular they cant keep it in stock? Im done shopping here. DONE.
