Always shied away from Big Lots because of a visit to one store that was dark, dingy, and dirty. But this one on the east side of Escondido is a nice little treasure. Food items you dont see in any grocery store, seasonal stuff (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, for example), and furniture both inside and patio. What an absolutely wonderful surprise of a store, and the employees are so courteous and helpful. Who knew?!

The cashier Chelsea was very sweet and very attractive but thats not why Im giving a testimony... its because she not only helped me find what I was looking for but explained it in perfectly english I might add i never really liked bigots because it was known to be ran by Mexicans but this biglots is evenly spread out by ethnicities proper English helps you know

I really like this store. Its not in the best part of town and the plaza has a couple of vacancies but this store is always clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful. Always a pleasant shopping experience!

I had a bad experience with the cashier and overall workers there. They look at you as if you’re nothing or something. They act as if they are better than you and if you ask something they make you look dumb. I never experienced this treatment before at this location, but it was awful.

The store is really cozy. It had the products I was looking for. I specifically was searching for winter socks and indoor shoes. There was one particular employee at this escondido location that was very professional and friendly. He treated me like a family member when I asks him some questions. Ive never encounter an employee like him before at any store. He made my checkout experience memorable. I regret that I forgot to take down his name.

The store has such a variety of goods. If you are expecting a fully stocked store with items are in the back ready to be restocked, this is not the place. They have so many different items for gifts, and household items that rid you the need to do multiple stops elsewhere. The staff are helpful and friendly. Almost all items there are priced cheaper or at least the same.Examples:Beverages -$.75Spaghettios -$1.00Phone cords and accessories under -$5.00 or premium ones for under $10.00 Iphone/USB C or MicroCat litter, although limited supplies - $11.00 for 26lbsThey have great furniture as well. Sofas, beds, futons, couches, love seats, lougechairs and fireplace fixtures.Thanks for being a fun place to walk around and seeing what I can randomly find.

Cleanest and tidiest Big Lots Ive ever been in. There was actually more than 2 employees in the store and one of them even offered to go and grab me a cart. If it wasnt for the big sign out front i wouldnt have been sure i was in a Big Lots.

I purchased a mattress last week from this location it was almost a $1,000 mattres the guys that helped me out were nice and left the store happy. About a few days ago I asked someone with the name of Veronica I think she was the manager. About a product. My first impression was how rude she was definetly wasnt trying to help with my question and made my visit very unpleasant. I didnt even want to ask her more because I can tell she was in a bad mood . most likely wont be returning again. I would like to know where can I put in a complaint.

My 1st time in the store in 2 years.. and now I know why its been so Long.. the Staff & Values are Great... But the Store Format is Disjointed & in areas of the store is non ADA compliant due to aisle width

This particular Big Lots is, at least in my experience, the Flag Ship of their stores. Clean and well lit, Simple merchandising, and attentive customer service sets this store apart from her sister stores. I will definitely be back.

Big Lots has stepped up their game guys! They are now fancy and well organized. I loved going before, but now its just so much nicer. You should definitely pop and see what they have now.

This store offers so many great deals and values but still has good quality. I can always locate new and different items, especially for the kitchen and bathroom. They also have a nice assortment of office supplies and hygiene items -- all at an extremely low cost.

Definitely looks much better would the new renovation almost a year ago thats how long its been shown side went there last but its a bit pricey if youre after great deals not the place if youre after Pan normal prices I guess its pretty competitive Over all the places clean fresh remodeled But I would definitely ask about their return policy just in case you are not satisfied with something that park Im not to sure about

Never know what youll find, but it will always be inexpensive. Its difficult to find help on the sales floor. Register lines can be long. Employees are friendly. Still, you can sometimes find designer items, and the whole experience is usually fun.

They were very good at varying Big Lots of just about everything the average Escondido or for that matter every consumable disposable consumer goods for the entire globe trotters team of 1969 and every basketball trick move teams both past present and future. I highly recommend this retail establishment to all.

I always enjoy my visit at big lots.prices are good for the most part. Some things I can find cheaper elsewhere, but usually they are priced well. Quality is good.

They did a good job on the store renovation and is very clean and organized. Things seem a little pricier but they are now carrying some better quality items. Check the expire dates on foods because almost walked out with crackers that were about to expire in a few weeks 😱

This place is great. They recently remolded it and it is very much an improvement. Ckean well organized and friendly helpful staff. I also feel like their selection and quality of products has been upgraded as well. They have removed the bargin basement type items they used to have and it has made the place look more upscale. The prices have increased some but Im willing to pay a little more for better quality products.

Its a big lots, mix between a mini target and a dollar tree with furniture, better than I remember its been years since I was there.

Be careful of the Big Lots 20% discount club ; if you dont come in for 60 days you LOSE alol your points and discounts. I bought a Trash can on sale for $10,,,I peeled off the $12 sticker to see what the ORIGINAL retail was.....It was $10 as partof the sticker from the factory!!!!

This particular store and maybe others is notorious for not having the price marked on the merchandise. You usually have to wait a long time for the cashier to find it if there is no sticker at all. I find this disrespectful to the customers and I am furious that I went to pay for an expandable folder today because the price on the shelf said $2.50 but I was charged $3.76 at the register. I am finally going to take action and report them to Consumer Affairs. The cashier simply shrugged off the difference as if it was nothing. She said someone put it in the wrong place. Duh...A box of folders was on the shelf, a customer didnt just randomly put it there. They are, I believe, breaking the law and can be fined for doing this. Well see after the Consumer Affairs Department investigates.

Best place in town for paper goods, canned or well sealed non-perishable food. Never get boxed food, unless you want a herd of moth millers.
