This is a tough review for me to write because its my first 1 star review!! But I certainly hope it helps you make a better choice in which dealership you purchase and service your Mercedes-Benz. The dealership staff at Mercedes-Benz of Escondido completely runs the Mercedes-Benz name, quality, service and professionalism down the gutter. They are beyond rude and have no problem wasting your time as they lie to you. They have used up countless of my hours without any success each time I have been there. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Given the amount of time I have spent there, I never actually saw a happy customer... its sad, disappointing, and frustrating. After speaking to Mercedes-Benz corporate offices, which confirmed that this dealership in Escondido gets plenty of complaints, they recommended I visit another local dealership. Keep in mind these are all independently owned, and they are all run differently. That said, I scheduled service at Mercedes-Benz of San Diego and they did a phenomenal job at servicing my vehicle which was still under warranty. Do yourself and your wallet a favor, drive south to Mercedes-Benz of San Diego off of Kearny Mesa Rd, that staff is GOLD!!!

My father went into this place to surprise me for my birthday the sales guy processed everything through the lenders and he had got approved they told him they would call him the next day didn’t call because the sales guy called out could’nt come in so another sales guy took his paperwork called him and told him he would be sailing it to someone That came in instead of just taking the time to call my father back and tell him he was approved so now he has 5 inquiries on his credit with no car. Bad business ! Never will I go back

I bought a used vehicle. Drove about 150 miles and the check engine light came on. Only had the car 4 days. Took it back to them, they scanned it. Wouldnt you know it. They said it was the cats and o2 sensors. Now they are NOT willing to work with me on the repairs. They are very UNPROFESSIONAL. DEFINITELY WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Dont go there unless you want to be RIPPED OFF!!!

They sold me a car that was 16 months old and I thought it was a 2021 model.It cost 41,000. I read a blurb from Mercedes stating it is worth $31,000.Hows that for depreciating, WORTH $10,000 less in 7 months. They suck. The only decent person there is Victoria in service.Do not do business with Escondido Mercedes.

Much to be desired from a Mercedes Benz dealership. Total confusion and lack of communication. Wasted an hour of my time before i could get my vehicle back which was to have been washed, Instead it was dirtier than when i took it in. The two star is due to having fixed my check engine lite. There was no shortage of rudeness either.

If my car broke down in their parking lot, I would pay to have it towed to another repair place. I have used them on and off again for years (I only own Mercedes) and the place is a clown show. They dont order parts when they say they have, they fix the wrong thing on your car - and try and charge you for it. If you walk to the parts department, you wait for 5 - 10 min. for someone to finally show up. They dont have parts in stock so they special order the wrong part so you have to come back later when they THINK they have the right part. Pathetic. I have finally learned my lesson.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. One star is vastly more than they have earned. Great car, but I wouldn’t wish the overall experience on my worst enemy. Multiple contacts across multiple functions of the organization demonstrate the same behaviors- a refusal to deliver anything they have previously committed to, and a refusal to contact the customer under any circumstances. The latest was an attempt to access the site GM after failing to get any response from personnel up and down the finance and sales orgs. Funny thing- he is too busy to talk to customers (according to the staff on the phone) and his voicemail is full. I guess the team is just following in his footsteps. I am absolutely a convert to MB after this purchase, but you couldn’t pay me to do any future business with MB of Escondido. There are plenty of other MB dealers out there, save yourself and run.

This place is downright shady. I purchased a vehicle 3 months ago and yes they will do what they have to to get it done. I had a trade in and they were supposed to pay it off. But come to find out they didn’t. Now my credit report has dropped and it’s almost impossible to get ahold of someone. Michael Gandy in sales doesn’t care to fallow up on my messages. The main finance lady Gema will not return calls what so every. This place is a joke. I should have paid attention to reviews before I went. I see these other reviews with 5 stars and wow. They must be family or close friends of employees or something. Honestly this place is not worth the headache. Be careful and read reviews.

Disappointing customer service. Called for support on a stuck infotainment system and the automated customer service line repeats three times before just hanging up on you. It may be a holiday weekend (Memorial Day), but Im certain there is someone there trying to sell cars... someone should be able to answer a phone.

Although Ive had an otherwise good experience with the purchase of my vehicle, the follow-thru has been dismal. The simplest task of refunding a canceled service contact has turned into the biggest spectacle of incompetency. They have ignored emails, avoided phone calls; so now I have no choice but to take the next step of going to small claims court.

Huge disappointment. Ever since this location has changed ownership structure, the service has gone down 90% or more! We have been here twice now and each time it has been a disaster. In our last visit to service department, they didnt have the courtesy of providing a courtesy car! (when dropping off a $100k+ car for service, you woundt expect to uber out of the dealership).They also told my wife the car needs break pads as they are under 1MM and it is not safe to drive at all. This is a S-Class so if it goes under 1MM you would be notified by the sensors, but not according to the service advisor. Evidently Mercedes engineers dont know to monitor all the pads and sensors only work on some pads not all.Took the car elsewhere and they suggest we have at least 6 more months on breaks.They pride themselves in turning around the store and are now #1 in sales volume in San Diego! No wonder why, these sales tactic will work for some time but are not sustainable.We have decided to take the car to another dealership for now until this store changes ownership again (2 or 3 times in the last 10 years that we have been going there).

I took my time and waited for a while before writing this review, hoping Mercedes would provide me with at least a message back or phone call to address the problem.Poor communication. Bad eye to detail and lack of care.I brought my car in for inspection. I own a Mercedes I and havent had service or maintenance for over a few years. I brought it in because it should be due for an oil change and the brakes started screeching. I went in for my appointment and gave my car key and information to the guy. I waited for an hour and 45 minutes. I told them to please inspect it thoroughly and I didnt mind the wait time because they were busy and it was my day off. As long as they look at it and do a really good job. I assured the guy that I am ready and prepared for any services and maintenance if required.He called me back into his office after they were done. He said nothing of the usual was found. I was surprised but glad because I didnt have to pay anything. When I asked about the brakes he said to come outside with him. He said to give him my phone for the flashlight and took a look at my brakes. He said they look good and nothing is wrong with them. I know its easy to tell when the brake pads wore out but ever since I left the dealership the screeching noise has been getting louder and louder when braking. I might as well skip the dealership and go to someone who actually provides a thorough professional diagnoses and has an eye for detail and care, which Mercedes of Escondido seemed to lack. I contacted them two times regarding the problem and they didnt even bother to get back to me or respond. Its been almost a month and the least they can do is get back to me even if they dont want to take it back in for inspection. No response or follow-up whatsoever. Unacceptable service especially concerning that this is supposed to be a dealership. I am writing this review based on my time and experiences from other dealerships.

I purchased a vehicle here in August of 2018. I was very excited to own my first Mercedes until it all went wrong. In November of 2018, my CLA 250 began having screen issues. I brought it to the dealership about every few weeks or months, and they’ve had my car 11 times now, that’s only when I could make time to bring it to them or it would have been more. My sales person had convinced me to save some money and not buy a package with navigation. So I had purchased a regular lesser grade vehicle with the intention of using Apple CarPlay. Mercedes has admitted that they have an issue but they have not found a resolution for yet. But they have refused to either replace my vehicle or take it back. For 2 1/2 years now, with the last time I went to them being in the summer of last year, they told me not to bring my car back, that there’s nothing they can do. I had my husband go to the vehicle turn it on while we were still at the dealership meeting with their supervisor Gus. I showed them, both Gus and their service rep, that the issue was still present no matter which phone was plugged into the system. They told me it didn’t matter and that I needed to take my car today, they didn’t care, and told me not to bring the car back in exact words. I was SHOCKED. I have now replaced my phone twice with the claim that they made saying that the phone was causing the problem in my vehicle, it’s not. The problem still exists on a daily basis. I just want them to take this car back. They were very quick to sell me a vehicle but now won’t fix any issues that it’s having. For all the money that I pay to Mercedes, all I expect is a car that works and functions the way a new car should. I don’t expect to have to go through extraordinary measures to have my car work properly. I wouldn’t drive a Mercedes again if it was free. I am very ashamed to be a client of theirs.

Last week I made a appt with service, Carlos, to have my Mercedes checked out, Monday at 10:00. My husband thought he heard a noise from the engine. It only has 75,650 miles so nothing should be wrong but we wanted it checked. My husband called 4 times, left messages for Carlos but we never heard back. We finally got someone to find Carlos at 5:30 (my car was there 7 1/2 hours) Carlos said, we are busy today & havent gotten to it yet. WHAT??? After 7 1/2 house, you couldnt find someone to pop the hood & listen. After all you were charging us over $200 to check it. So we finally picked it up & will go elsewhere. VERY poor service & no communications.

The customer service at this dealership is awful. I bought my car (used) from there almost 2 years ago. After driving it off the lot, not only was I notified that my car had not been serviced, but the front flaps on each side of my hood had lifted. I had to take the care in to get serviced just a few days after buying it and they just popped the two flaps back in on each side of my hood.Well, about 3 days after popping the flaps back in, they came back out. So, the next time I took my car in, they simply popped them back in again. What happens after I drive the car off the lot? They pop back out AGAIN.They have popped the flaps back in about 3-4 times since I have purchased the vehicle. I am now finding out that it is a body repair (they have to remove the front bumper) that needs to be done in order for the flaps to remain in place. The service guy that I spoke to on the phone today , whom was super rude, said I needed to call the sales department since this was an issue that started at the time of purchase. So, I call sales and speak to a so called sales manager named Arthur. He had ZERO remorse over this issue and said that since I have had the car for so long, he cannot help me. I told him he can look back at the times since the purchase I have brought the car in and had this looked at and the fact that the service department didnt tell me until now that it was needing body repair. Why was this not told to me two years ago when they first saw this issue?Long story short, I will now have to pay out of pocket for their mistakes and lack of attention to detail.If you buy a car from here, I do not recommend you get it serviced here. They do not back up their work.

Avoid buying your Mercedes from here if you have any choice. As soon as you drive off the forecourt the problems start. Their after sales care is absolutely shambolic. You have to chase them for everything, paperwork, info on the warranty/maintenance packages they sell you, even a spare key. Its been over 4 months since I bought the car and they still have not delivered my spare key. Despite constant chasing. Whenever you encounter a problem with them you are met with a distinctly bad attitude, it is obvious that they do not want to support customers.

Today I went to the Mercedes Benz dealer in Escondido to get a few parts for my newest vehicle, a slightly used CL500. When I drove onto the lot I was disappointed when nobody greeted me or offered assistance to me. I had expected the typical rush of sales reps but there wasnt anyone outside. When I rounded the corner near the service bay, I was greeted promptly by Greg from the used car department. He was more than helpful and knowledgeable about the parts and service I needed. He actually walked me over to the parts department and put me in touch with Casey, who was delightful to deal with. If you have any needs for used Mercedes Benz ask for Greg. Hes a rockstar. If you need parts, ask for Casey. He knows his stuff as well. Thank you for a great outcome guys....ill be back with future needs for sure!

I just purchased my first used Mercedes at this Escondido location and I am so happy did. Joe in sales and Dave in finance was so kind to go above and beyond with negotiating especially since I already knew what I wanted when I walked into the door. I didn’t feel pressured to buy something I didn’t want nor was I treated different for buying a used vehical. They stayed after hours to finalize the sale. I recommend Joe if you are in the market for a beautiful new/used Mercedes.

I had a great experience with Jake Olson, the sales representative. He was very helpful and wasnt pushy or salesy which I like. I have been in sales over 12 years and I dont like most salesmen, but Jake did an exceptional job. Christian Demos also did a phenomenal job in helping with the financing and contracts, he didnt push or pressure me to buy anything I didnt want and answered all my questions. I dont like dealers, but these guys made me reconsider and give me hope that they dont all suck. I definitely cant vouch for the entire dealer, but these guys did a solid job and if I go back to buy my next car Ill definitely be asking for these guys.

Horrible experience!!!!!!!!I scheduled an appointment a week in advance to complete my first service as well as check out a weird noise in my brand new car. My service advisor was John and I explained to him that due to my work related items I carry with me I must have a loaner car in order to get my car serviced. He promised me that they will have a loaner car for me that morning and I will be out of there in less than 15 min. My appointment was at 0730 AM, Once I got there I noticed to be the first costumer of the day, John got my credit card along with my CDL and escorted me to check in desk where supposedly I was going to be helped shortly. After waiting for about 15 min I asked the guy sitting behind the desk who was going to help me because I am on my way to work and cant be late.His response was : Sorry we dont have a car for you, you can reschedule or get an uber. I went back to john MY SERVICE ADVISOR and he said : Yeah we run out of carsI asked to speak with the manager named Adolfo and explained that the appointment was scheduled a week ago and I was promised a loaner car. This guy shamelessly lied through his teeth straight in my face saying that yes other costumers came before me already and we are out of cars right now. I said: where are they, I am the first one here this morning.Even though I scheduled a week in advance, had to arrange my work schedule for that day, I was unable to complete the service of my car due to horrible costumer service.PLEASE NOTICE HOW ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE PLACED IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS. It is the worse dealership Ive ever been. They are ripping off customers including me. We went there to finance a GLC 300 on May 2020 and we ended up paying for protection insurance since they are too pushy. After couple of days we decided to cancel it. So we went back there and they said they will return our money back which took for ever after I emailed and called many times. No one was responsive. the worst part we realized they charged us $1618 instead of $1495. Nobody knew why. The finance guy who helped us before kept saying BS reasons. So Its been 6 months Im still waiting for my money.I hate this dealership and the staff are very rude and irresponsible. DO NOT go there.

The dealer advertised a CPO on Carguru and when I called to buy it from Mississippi, the manager said that this is only an instate price. Thats the dumbest thing I have heard from a merc dealer. I have to say this was probably the worst dealerships i’ve been too. me and my husband went there to buy a car we already had in mind. we had the pleasure of working with a fine gentleman there but encountered a sales manager Arthur, who is not only disrespectful but also illegally trying to raise the price of the car for a vehicle because as he explained “to get a lower APR we have to show the banks you guys are willing to pay more for the car”. which is an insult to my intelligence because APR has to do with my credit score and if you raised the price of the car that would counter exactly what he was trying to sell to us. After receiving two separate prices with the lower price with a higher APR and the higher price with a lower APR, he continued to try to get us to worry about the APR and disregard to fact that he illegal upped the price of the car on us in the middle of the deal. Now I am aware dealerships gotta make a buck, this was downright just disrespectful because several other employees also were just as surprised by this horrible excuse of customer service. We also called several banks including the one we needed up financing through and other salesmen from different dealerships. After this research was completed we once again were struck with the same response that was “ that doesn’t make any sense that he’d do that” and i would as a customer walk away. fortunately we had a great salesman who was honest with us from the get go and gave us great customer service that we were able to fix this issue get the car for the actual vehicle price with the same APR as the “higher priced car” as stated before. If you are going here please be wary and ask questions because Arthur is as disrespectful and dishonest as they come and will try to pull one over if he can.

I would recommend you go to any other dealer before these guys. Check out the D- rating on BBB.Sold me a lemon. Required $3,000 worth of work on an overpriced, $8,600 used car, including items that should have been checked by a reputable dealer such as the engine starter. Started having problems immediately when I bought it. Clearly, they had already started it and warmed it up before I got there. They finally took it back after making me pay a $500 fee.Couldnt have treated me worse after the sale. Theyll Uber someone 30 miles to help you purchase it and drive another car home, but of course, that luxury disappears when they dont stand to make any moneyThey had me fill out some forms for the DMV and would not give me copies. I was told that it wouldnt even officially go in my name with the DMV. Now I get mail from the DMV regarding suspended plates etc etc, so I had to go in and complete the release of liability, even though the dealership told me there was no official transfer of ownership.I wouldve just let it all go and not write a review, but the DMV situation was the last straw.

Creepville. Called in advance to see if they were open today - a salesman texted afterward without permission. Went by the dealership and the first salesman was nice but brand new. Very friendly and helpful. I worked with Emilio, and he peacefully and patiently helped me make a right decision for buying my car. He is a star. He explained about so many different cars to me and helped me narrow down my choices and make decision. Then, Emilio and Tod as the manager rocked it with making a good deal for the car I chose. We went there today, in the middle of pandemic not a single sales man with a face mask when you walk inside. I walked right out and did not want to speak with anyone in there. I will contact mercedes benz themselves and let them know, this is very inappropriate for a company such as benz.

I love Mercedes Benz and have a GL450 and SL63 amg. I believe no one makes better quality cars like Mercedes Benz. But think twice before buying a car from Mercedes Benz of Escondido. Save your time, money and nerves and go to another Mercedes dealership. Had the worst car buying experience. I was treated as if I was buying a car from the street instead of a Mercedes dealership. Not that there is anything wrong with buying a car from the street. As a matter of fact people on the street know what a commitment means, but obviously not Mercedes Benz of Escondido. MARK, the used car salesman there clearly does not believe in professionalism and customer service and has no problem in misrepresenting facts and even contradicting himself. He reached out to me via text regarding their 2017 S550e. I made an offer which was somewhat lower than the asking price. He did not like the offer, no big deal, but he became aggressive and almost disrespectful. I thanked him for reaching out to me and wished him best of luck. Couple days later he reached out to me again and after apologizing for his earlier behavior, this time agreed to bring the price further down and we agreed to make a deal in the middle. He had told me previously that he can absolutely deliver the car 75 miles away but now said we dont deliver the car that far out and I would have to come here. Being a health care provider in a hospital I told him I am working Sat morning and can come in the afternoon. He confirmed the price and sent me the photos and video. We made an apt for the afternoon. I texted him during the morning and afternoon as I was driving and he said was waiting. After an almost 2 hour drive as I was 5 min away from the dealership, he texted me that the car was sold and he is very sorry. We had already made a deal and he knew all along that I was on my way but still sold the car to someone else for a few hundred dollars more. I drove 4 hours for nothing and thats fine. But the bigger question is the commitment of Mercedes Benz of Escondido to is customers and its dedication to conducting business in a fair and equitable way. If hardworking people at the pawn shops can keep their word, then why not Mercedes Benz of Escondido. I am a big fan of Mercedez Benz but certainly not of this dealership in Escondido where this kind of behavior and attitude could certainly not happen without the blessing and patronage or willful negligence of the upper management. Obviously the leadership may be promoting a culture where salesman are allowed to sell, by questionable methods. Do yourself a favor and go to a different MB dealership that believes in the customer service that Mercedes Benz is known for.Jon

Poor customer service. I brought my car for repair, I was told the problem was a faulty sensor. I was given a price, paid for the repair and returned after I was told the problem was fixed. The problem was not fixed. I returned, and was told the technician did not test all the sensors, therefore I would have to replace all of the sensors and pay more.

Can’t get thru on the phone . Fist it has been impossible to go thru sales department who sold us the car , he had promised a key he never gave us, now either financial services can’t get a simple answer about a gap refund , I spoke to 2 financial service department and still waiting since 9/8/20 . I know this is not the end of even though I pay for my car I though I don’t have deal with them I wish I would of bought my car in El Cajon they are the best.

Twice I’ve come to get a quart of oil added.... this was never a problem with previous owners. I do pay for the oil, so it only necessitated porter to add it to the engine.I purchased my car there so I very much appreciated the ability to have this help since the latch that holds the hood up on my car no longer works!I waited and waited both times, no sense of urgency and on both occasions I ended up walking out.Never again would I consider walking into this place, not for maintenance, not for the purchase of a new Mercedes, not for a cup of coffee.I’m sure sorry that the previous owner decided to sell, these folks need to revamp their Customer service skills.

Service at Mercedes of Escondido is spectacular! They are always available. Very quick, very precise. The car is always ready when they say it will be and I NEVER have to take the car in twice for the same problem. Adolfo in service is an Amazing Service Advisor. Mercedes makes a great car and the Great service backs up the car 100%.

Accounting department is the worst. I have been waiting for my refund check for the service contract since November 2019 (more than 4 months) I called them several times . The accountant said he will check and never get back to me. I sent several email last one to the financial manager and never get a response back.This is not the first time . When I returned my previous car I have to wait from August to November get the money back for the service I didnt use on my service contract.Mercedes is great car but I will never recommend this dealer to anyone.

My Lease was coming to an end and I needed to get a new car. I went to Escondido and found my true and honest friendliest sales guy...Shawn! I call him my best friend. He was so nice and sweet and he actually leased me a car to my benefit. He was patient and most important he was sooo honest that I couldn’t believe it! He walked me through the process of the lease and explained to me everything that I needed to know. I had so many questions and I was so confused with what to take and what to expect but Shawn sat me down and like I said he walked me through the process. I call him my best friend...I am able to call, text and email him at all hours of the day with many questions and me as a women I have complaints and he is always there to listen and to talk to me and calm me down. If you are really interested in getting a mercedes Benz well Shawn is the one to talk too. He won’t just sell or lease you a car. He will explain to you plus he has a lot of patients. Plus he is very honest!! Thank you so much Shawn...I’m so happy I have found such an honest, loving, patient human being!!

Under new ownership, these guys are definitely the Kingpins now for Mercedes in the San Diego area. By far the largest inventory and the most aggressive pricing. Ramon was extremely helpful and friendly. He contacted me via text to notify me when my car was ready for pickup. This is a breath of fresh air compared to missed calls and playing phone tag, which Ive experienced at other dealerships. I received a loaner, a brand new 2019 vehicle with less than 1000 miles, which allowed me to go on with my day without delay. I was in and out of the dealership, hassle free, in less than 20 minutes. I also appreciated how there were no hidden fees or surprises when I went to pick up my car. I will go back to MB of Escondido and highly recommend it to other MB drivers.
