Jack Powell was a amazing experience. My husband and I had a specific car in mind and they were the only car lot in San Diego who actually had a inventory on it. Its never easy to shop at a new car lot, but let me tell you that Jack Powell met our needs and gave us a sweet deal. Zach was fantastic. He was not pushy and he gave us different options. Zack worked really hard to get us the best price and payment we were looking for. When it came time to sign the paperwork Mike K. did not pressure me to buy extra packages. I dont usually write reviews like this, however, for Elly Hernandez I decided he deserves for me to at least write him this review. He was able to help me and my family get a new car for my aunt. Elly was able to explain to us everything and made sure we understood everything, no matter how long it took. He was very patient and respectful towards me and my whole family, which we are very appreciative of. In the end, he was able to give us a killer deal on a new Jeep Cherokee. If youre thinking of getting a car, make sure to pass by here and ask for Elly Hernandez.

Pretty terrible experience with the service department manager! I spoke to a representative on Friday about a recall on my Chrysler and was told they would fix the issue at no cost. They were to call me back and schedule a time. Monday afternoon no call. So I go in the dealership and I tell them whats going on. Apparently there is 2 new recalls but they say they already fixed the first recall so theyll fix the other ones but not the one that they had originally worked on. I asked to speak to the manager because that didnt make since. They had a recall worked on the recall and it had the same issue but they want me to pay 200 spats for them to fix something they fixed. Not even fix it to look at something they worked on. How does that work? The mander tells me hes a for profit business and just has an attitude. I tell him I own a business well I guess after 15 years of owning Chrysler this will be the last one. Thanks buddy,

I can’t believe that I drove from Los Angeles to this dealership that was so misleading. DANTE was the sales person I spoke to and dealt with when I arrived at the dealer and Immediately as I open the door I saw problems with the truck that he was proposing to sell me out of the discount then I realize immediately as I open the front driver side door why it was discounted had a lot of rust inside the cab as you enter the cab and the entire undercarriage looks like it was submerged and left underwater for a very long time all of the undercarriage was rusted. Then after explaining to the sales person that that vehicle must have been a vehicle that was underwater and had all that rust damage he insisted and offered a better deal and what would it take to sell me the truck and I immediately responded that I would not even test drive the vehicle no matter what. I can’t believe the sales people will do whatever they can say whatever they can and south is unsafe vehicles to customers

Was ready to buy a truck from them with cash and the sales guy started asking for information related to my credit score. Had to tell him since Im paying cash there is no reason to obtain any information related to my credit. His advice was more or less, dont worry, we wont run your credit, just write it on the bottom of the page not to run your credit. After I told him no, he still wanted my social security number, to which I also said no. He got the sales manager who said they needed it for the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), to which I told him, you dont need it. He said they do, so I walked out of there. Had an email the next day saying they dont need my SSN to buy the truck and to come back in to sign the papers. (The OFAC more or less checks your name against a database of known bad people, mostly from foreign countries and all without social security numbers. Between the sales manager and the salesman, they had 35 years of experience in the business (so they said), so not sure how they didnt know how the process works or what is or isnt required.)Even before we got to this point, the sales guy said they could not remove the anti-theft device on the truck and that I had to pay the $1,700 for it, but he was on my side because he was going to remove the cleaning detail service and the clear coat polish covering they normally require. Turns out the anti-theft device is 1) an inventory device dealers use to monitor their inventory for service and maintenance by tracking location and miles driven, 2) really cheap, only about $25 according to online forums, 3) wasnt even installed by Jack Powell (it was a pre-owned truck from Temecula where the Carfax report said it was installed), 3) other dealers charged $900, not $1,700.Of course, this was my experience, a friend had an entirely different experience (with another sales guy of course). If only Jack Powell had known about the social security number not being required, they could have fleeced me good on the truck I was ready sign for!If youre in the market for a new/pre-owned vehicle, go to Carfax.com for starters and start your searching there. I ended getting a nearly identical truck from a very helpful dealer in Texas with 27k less miles and $1,500 cheaper than I was going to get at Jack Powell. The TX dealer overnighted me documents to sign, provided wiring instructions, recommended a shipping company, and never once asked for my SSN!

I live in the neighborhood of Jack Powell and they accept delivery from the car haulers to park in the street completely blocking one lane as well as the bike lane. This is a business in the Auto Parkway that should insist that the delivery vehicles not put the public at risk. Please avoid this company until they become in compliance with the law. I had to give one star in order to post.

After my catalytic converter got stolen from my old 99 Honda CRV, I was pushed into having to find a new car (which was not a purchase I had planned for anytime soon). I spent 4 months looking at cars, talking to dealers, and getting close, but never finding the right deal for me. Finally, I found my dream car (a 2021 Jeep Renegade Latitude in Bikini Metallic Teal with the Sun & Sound package) at Jack Powell in Escondido and thanks to their hard work and great attitude, I was able to get the car that I wanted for a price I felt comfortable with. Carlos Fajardo and Mike McGrath were so patient answering all of my questions and made the process smooth and exciting! I had so many run-ins with rude sales people and those dealers that force crazy additional charges into your quote, but my experience at Jack Powell was just the opposite. I had lost so much of the joy of buying my first ever new car through those 4 months of searching, but Carlos and Mike made it fun again! And on top of that, especially in the crazy car market due to the chip shortage, I really got a great deal. It was a 4 hour drive both to and from the dealership for me, but 100% worth it! Even Jaime in financing was lovely to work with and I hear those guys are usually the worst! I would definitely go back to Jack Powell in the future and recommend them highly. Thank you to Carlos, Mike, and Jaime for making my experience a great one and for giving me the chance to own my first dream car!

What an atrocious experience I had at this dealership this morning. I went in to chat with the service manager about a recall issue and a few seconds into my explanation of why I was there, he cut me off and said, “It’s my turn to talk”. He then proceeded to talk at me (not with me). So I mentioned that the NHTSA oversees these recalls and I didn’t want to have to go through the whole process of getting them involved when he could just check out the car and see if the shifting issue was related to the recall. He began a slew of personal insults and ended with calling me a mouthpiece and telling me to get out of his office. So many ways to handle a customer without name calling or raising your voice. Wondering how this man even has a job.

Worst experience I have had looking for a new car. Salesman did not seem to have knowledge on the Jeep. This dealership marked up a Jeep Wrangler 4xe $10,000 due to them being sold too fast. They had 11 of them on the lot. I tried negotiating the mark-up and they did not care. I left and called Jeep in San Diego and they have no mark-up and only have 2 Jeep Wranglers on their lot. Beware! I am looking into them falsely advertising a price and then listing it differently on the lot.

Purchased a 4Runner today from Jack Powell in Escondido. The dealership is very nice with a generous waiting lounge complete with a large tv. They are doing a great job with Covid safety.My day started with James. I really appreciated his style of salesmanship ... helpful, courteous and not pushy. Thanks James !!Special shout out to Mr. Kingsland. He was awesome. He made me and my wife feel great about our purchase and even went to bat for us ... as we were the first to look at this gorgeous truck ... making sure we had the first of crack at this truck. Terrible experience with JC & Michael.They repeatedly attempted stereotypical high pressure sales techniques. The last one was by offering a low price at that very moment with no money down, yet the price that was brought back to me was +$700 more than what was negotiated and after doing the math the 72 month lease offered would’ve made it literally more than 2x the original price ($14.9k vs $31.5k). I made it pretty clear to JC that I’m in a rough spot as I’ll be living out of a vehicle for an indefinite period of time so seeing that they were trying to sell me a deal that would have me paying over 100% in interest over 72 months was laughable and despicable.I also mentioned that I had somebody willing to co-sign in order to offset the high interest rates due to my low credit, but this was highly discouraged against by JC since it would’ve required faxing.The last straw was the fact that I had to constantly & firmly repeat myself that the added on $5000+ service contract for repairs was beyond my budget and that I wasn’t interested. Lo and behold, the next set of figures they brought to me still had the charge on there but this time for only $2500! Shady people.It’s a shame because I was very interested in the vehicle and I’m going to get the exact make & model elsewhere. Very shady vibes. I strongly recommend checking out the abundance of competitors nearby.

The service, or lack of was simply appalling. I visited with the sole intention of purchasing a vehicle. I literally had to beg a sales person to even speak with me. I spoke to a person who presented themselves to me as a Manager and told him about my issue of being disregarded as a customer. He listened with disdain, never apologized, and ended the conversation with ... would you like to sit in a car? I replied, no thank you, Ill take my business to a dealer where both my money and I feel appreciated. I will never visit this establishment again.

I will give them 3 stars because I appreciated Zack. He was great to work with. So was the finance guy (I believe Jaime). The dealership was clean and the employees all seemed friendly.Where it went south was even with a high credit score and a bank that always stands behind me and gives me great interest rates, I was told by the sales manager that even though they work with my bank, we could not use them. We would have to go with someone else (with a higher interest rate of course). I guess someone is getting kick backs.The next day, I called my bank and they informed me everything the sales manager said was wrong. They said he does not make those decisions, they do. So my bank is refinancing the loan at the lower interest rate.Dont believe what the sales manager tells you. Especially if you have that gut feeling. This simply added steps to the process that was unnecessary. It is very sad that we cannot trust these people as consumers. If I use this dealership again or suggest it to any friends, I will tell them, walk in with your loan first. Sad that one person can give a dealership a bad name.

Not one who has ever been fond of dealerships, but this dealership has been the exception to the rule. Everyone here has always been nice and professional. From the sales department to the service department and finance too. Youre not going to get in and out in the service department typically, but not because theyre slow, because theyre very busy! Thats a sign of their reputation and popularity. I highly recommend them!

Even after diligent effort to not get screwed after purchasing a truck, they still ended up adding in thousands of dollars of extra accessories and telling us it was too late to undo since they had already installed it, even though we had no interest in getting anything extra. Complete buyers remorse, but too late since there is no cooling off period.

San Diego Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has way better deals than these guys. My brother found a car he wants but unfortunately these guys have it. San Diego Dodge offered him a deal on the car for $403 a month. These guys offered $530. They finally went down to $460 but Manager Michael Lopez admitted they cant even come close to matching San Diego Dodge for the car. Unfortunately they are blocking a trade to San Diego Dodge so he can get an acceptable deal. He will end up with the car he wants eventually but definitely not from these guys. Stay away from the price gouging!!!!

I needed a new part for my jeep and walked in to the parts counter. They apparently dont have an attendant working the parts department or at least at the desk. You now have to call, which there is a sign posted with the number if you are inquiring about a part. I was roo bothered by this since in the past I have waited some time for a person to come to the desk after ringing the counter bell several times. I called the provided number and spoke to a gentleman right away who was very helpful in locating the specific part I was looking for. After our phone conversation we corresponded by email several times and he was very prompt in his reply. He ordered the part that I needed without Hassel and was pleasant to deal with.

Bought a NEW PROMASTER, van has been mostly ok. Problems with rear doors keeps occuring and as this is a cargo van for work, sometimes it is a process to climb through and open doors. I took the van in for the 3rd time for the rear door, I just trusted that they actually did the job (they had my work van 2 days) I get it back home and then went to work, I went to use the door and nothing, it was NEVER fixed. I called and told them how bummed I am and how busy at work we are and this now needs to be fixed by a mobile mechanic, they said they will not send a mobile tech. They want me to drop the van off AGAIN for the SAME ISSUE and this time it is fully on them. They just didnt touch the door or address the problem, so their irresponsible action and failure to do their job is now costing me time and money. I bought the van to make money, not lose money....All in all I am happy with the van, but I was skeptical about a Ram because I have had issues with Dodge service in the past. I bought several Fords, and the service there is WAY better!!!!

I had to update my review. While this dealership seemed to be stellar upfront, during the sales process. They are less than desirable to work with when you have an issue. BUYERS BEWARE, DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE ON THIS LOT AT NIGHT TIME. Lighting on the lot is inadequate and we missed a lot of items on the vehicle. Which is my issue, they do not follow the FCA standard and do not fulfill the FCA requirements on their Certified Pre Owned Vehicles. When I questioned them on this, Mike Lopez, time and time again proved my point and did not want to do anything about it. I also reached out to the General Manager Gerald Gonzalez, on four different occasions, with no return call from Gerald. This is un acceptable behavior from a dealership, let alone the general management of the dealership. I tried to reason with Mike and get a few things addressed on the vehicle. He addressed two out of the many concerns I had but basically told me the vehicle was already sold and Jack Powell CDJR didnt have to do anything about it. But the facts are I paid for a certified vehicle that was not truly certifiable per FCA requirements. BUYERS BEWARE!

Quoted me 125 to get a new key cut and programmed for my 2008 jeep wrangler. Which was competitive compared to all other locksmiths in the area. Had my jeep towed to jack Powell to get the key made. After I arrived I was explaining what I needed to the service counter representative, it took me 4 times to explain to the gentleman that I simply needed an ignition key made. The guy was very rude and was not actively listening to me explaining that I just needed a key made. Then he hits me with a $600 price tag. Which is obviously way over 125 like initially quoted. After he finally listens to me as I explain that I just need a standard key with no fob he says oh okay. 125 for the key and 145 for labor to program the key..... a standard key with no fob... $279 later after trying to work with them I will not recommend them to anyone. If you cant hold your word to an initial quote youre business is garbage.

If I could make this Zero Stars I would.#1 Damage My Vehicle and havent paid for the repairs!#2 Car Broke Down after Service on the Grapevine. Blown Coil which was known to have issues, but didnt fix.#3 Asked for and Extended test to test heat issue in Transmission. Instead Used the Car as overnight rental for Employee!#4 Gave the car clean second visit. got the car back filthy after having it only one day!#5 Waited 45 minutes when I had appointment to check in.

Just dealt with parts, very helpful finding the panel needed but they did not think to ask about hardware...which did not come with it. Glad I asked and ordered hardware separately. Good for helping, poor for anticipating customer needs....guess thats next level stuff. Transaction and comms went well. On pick up, pulled wrong item, quickly fixed when I identified it....average overall, could have easily been a 4 or 5.

LIARS! ... AVOID!I went in with my end of lease vehicle and decided to take advantage of the 0% financing on a new vehicle. Oprah was so nice and assured me everything would be taken care of on the lease and I could take home the new truck that day. After expressing how during the pandemic things were tight she told me I would not have to pay for the end of lease fee and that the inspection was fine and I shouldnt have to pay for anything.A month later I see I still owe almost $900 on my lease. She did not waive the end of lease fee and I was charged for a less than an inch scratch for excessive wear and tear. Upon contacting her I was told not to worry and she would take care of it.. But a month went by and nothing. I told her the account was past due and I needed to get clarification. Nothing. Didnt return my calls, and would get yelled at over text.I contacted the manager, Michael Lopez. He apologized and told me he would take care of it. After returning my call a few hours later he told me I needed to call Chrysler Capital and get the end of lease fee waived myself. Once I called I was told the dealer had to pay and they could not help me. Upon calling Michael back I left a message. Waited a week and tried calling again, he didnt return my calls. I left messages with sales associates who patronized me and told me they would let Michael know.. he never returned my calls.So I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This dealership has a C- rating! A week went by and Chrysler Executive Office called and after speaking to someone they clarified the dealer did not meet their obligation and the fees were settled.This is the worst kind of experience you would ever want to have with a dealership. Do not buy here.

My husband and I were in the process of trying to trade and buy a car from a dealership. Our car needed repairs at the time and were quoted a trade in value that we felt was under appraisal. I wasnt happy with their quote and decided to make a call to Mr. Payne, a great car salesman that sold me my car 4 years ago. He was considerate enough to explain the trade in process regarding our car and how to get a true value of what our car could be worth. Even though we were trying to buy a car from another dealership, he still advised us on the value of the suv we were trying to buy and to beware.

They lie to get you there. Sales managers are very rude. They even disclosed my credit info to the entire showroom ( which I’m considering hiring an attorney) and then after knowing they screwed up they tried to fix it playing good guy/ badguy with another manager apologizing for other managers actions. So I Asked to Speak to general manager Gerald Gonzales but was told by managers and several staff that you can’t talk to him ( he was in his office) unless you have appointment wow. So I Left him several voicemails and emails and nothing. Very disappointed and feel humiliated by this dealership. Read reviews I’m not the only one.

Nothing against the staff but the business practice of charging someone over 150$ just to look at a problem with there car and if your solution doesnt work recharging that same person over 150$ to look at it agian is proposterous. Should be free the second time if your first solution didnt work and you ended up costing the owner of said car hundreds if not thousands in fixing a part that may or may not have needed fixing.

Two months ago I took my car in due to my brakes making screeching noise every time I pull up my emergency brakes as well as when I turn my car off. The dealership ordered my parts replaced the Actuator on my brakes and the noise came back within the two months it was replaced. Took my car back last Wednesday and Chris who worked on my car two months ago stated that there’s a defect on the part and he doesn’t know what is going on and if it will happen again. They ordered the same part and I just got my car back yesterday and it seems like nothing was fixed. It’s getting to the point where I feel as though they’re playing with me and saying the issue was fixed when it wasn’t. Matt who is the service manager stated to me yesterday that it shouldn’t happen again and they test drove it and there was no sound which is weird because the sound doesn’t come from driving which I now know I was being lied to.I feel as though they’re rushing and nothing is being done right. Now I have to call set up another service appointment just for them to order another part and for it to happen again. I’m at the point where I don’t want this car anymore as well as I don’t feel comfortable driving it. The dealership is liable and nothing has been done about this. I’m just going to call corporate.

Probably one of the worst experiences and customer service I’ve ever experienced. My fiancé reached out for an appointment. She had to reschedule as she’s a nurse and called 30 minutes before her appointment. They let her know after trying to get through multiple times that the sales rep left for the day with ‘back issues’ yet he didn’t have the decency to call her. After rescheduling she ended up being connected to a customer service rep who did not make her aware of her position. Upon showing up at the dealer we were made aware that we needed car insurance along with our license to test drive cars. My insurance runs through my company as I drive a company car and my fiancé doesn’t have insurance yet as she hasn’t had a car in 3 years. This customer service rep did not give us the heads up beforehand. Oh and by the way we went to another jeep in San Diego right before going here and all we needed to provide was our license. And they didn’t ride in the car with us. We were passed along to this cheese head of a rep who tried comparing a wrangler to a Mercedes. I knew from the start this guy was a clown. He brought down a wrangler that was 4 door which was not what my fiancé wanted. She wanted a 2 door. After waiting 20 minutes he brought back a 2 door. My fiancé was told they had 3 colors in stock and turned out they had 2. He brought us inside trying to reel us in off the bat when we just needed some numbers. He then said we couldn’t take the paperwork but would email us. Completely lied to us as we still haven’t seen the email yet the higher ups have emailed us asking for a survey where the links don’t even work. This place is a joke.

Highly recommend doing your research before stepping foot on their lot, as they post extremely different prices depending on what website you view their cars on. The base MSRP is completely different when you look at their Dealership price versus the TrueCar price.When I asked about the extreme price different they played it off as this price does not include the lift and tires. you need to add 7950 to the price. Then, why advertise this lower price at all? I wouldnt expect them to remove the lift and tires to get the lower price?Im sure they have fantastic customer service once you get in the door, but Id do my research and cross reference prices, so youre not wasting your time.--- revised - they eventually updated their TrueCar price to be accurate, thank you for doing so, but doubling checking these details prior to uploading your listings is key!

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. They will try to take advantage of you. First they appraise my vehicle at 14,500 which didnt seem right since KBB had a trade in range of 19,000 to 21,000. They worked a deal using my trade of 14,500 and told me the lease would be roughly $550 a month. I went to carmax and was offered 19,500 for my trade. Jack Powell agreed to match and worked a deal on the same car for $525 a month. How does $5000 more for my trade equate to only a $25 difference monthly...BS. Then I show them a lease I got approved for through another Dodge dealer using chrysler capital for $480 a month. They do a deal on a different car they have on the lot and want $530 a month. They claim their car has a package the other one does not. That is true but the car for $480 has a $3500 package theirs does not. The cars are the same year and model. Their car cost $200 more. How does that add $50 a month...again BS. I would of already purchased the other one but it is still enroute to the dealer. Guess I will wait the week and a half to get it. Do not be a sucker and buy from this dealership....THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!Update: After my post they offered me $469 a month but asked if I would take my review down. Hmm I guess the truth hurts. Now Jack Powell responds and tells me to contact Michael Lopez but no response. This dealership is shady....STAY AWAY!

I use this dealership routinely (for the past 12 years) for service at every 7500 mile increment and have generally been satisfied. However, my experience with this dealership’s Parts Department was terrible. Unfortunately, a cosmetic trim piece that I needed for the tailgate (plastic tailgate trim piece) was priced at $85 my 2012 RAM 3500. I purchased it not realizing that I could get the same piece online for $25. Later when the piece came from Dodge (it had to be ordered and shipped), not only did I have to pick it up at the dealership as it could not be shipped directly to my house, but six small plastic fasteners were not included in the price. To make matters worse, each Fasner was priced at $4.30. A total of almost $30 for just the fasteners... I returned to the dealership to request the fasteners be included in the total price, but they declined saying that this was not possible. I ended up returning the $85 plastic part that did not include any fasteners, and was charged a $7.50 restocking fee. ultimately, I purchased the plastic piece that came with all six fasteners online and had it directly shipped to my house in less than four days for a total of $26.92. Beware of buying parts of this Parts Department.

I had to spend a good hour cleaning all the grease marks on the door panels. Fortunately, I covered the steering wheel & seats with my own disposable plastic covers.

Bought a jeep at jack powell and at first thought the process was good with a good deal. The problem started when someone at the dealer mishandeled the title paperwork and put a bank on it that had nothing to do with the deal. The jeep was paid for in cash and they listed a lein holder of some random bank. That is a little scary. It has been almost a year and still no title. You would think paying for the car in cash would be easy. I guess finance at Jack powell was a sleep at the wheel when they did this deal. Very bad followup as well and the problem is still not solved. They need to be more professional making sure paperwork is accuarate and when it is not solve it immediatly.

I had a really good experience at Jack Powell.I went to test drive a Ram 1500, Jonathan was personal, didnt rush me, or hesitate to give me honest answers to the questions I had regarding the truck. This is in stark contrast to other dealerships where I was told all sorts of lies and half truths about the capabilities of the truck and its competitors.Jonathan offered me a good price, and so I came back to buy a week later. We did the paper work in a couple of hours and I drove away with my brand new truck! Jamie the finance chap in the back office was also really helpful, help walk me through all the financials.Overall, I had a great experience. I will be going back for servicing.Thank you.

This dealership was by far the most dishonest unethical group of people I have ever done business with. They happened to have the exact vehicle I was looking for and unable to locate elsewhere due to it being last years model. I am not local and was having to do all interactions over phone or e mail. Once we came to a price agreement I requested to have it sent over in writing prior to me signing/sending all of my personal information. Once invoice was received we reviewed all of the numbers and found a $2985 additional charge that was not included in the line items of the invoice. I was informed that this was for additional ad ons done by the dealership including a 3rd party SWAT low jack/tracking system that was valued at $1695. I expressed concern with the system and explained that I was not comfortable having the system on the vehicle. I then contacted the manufacturer directly for more information regarding the product. They stated that the product was not currently activated through their system and that it was no cost to the dealership should I want it removed. When I discussed this with the sales person and manager they denied all of this information. I then called to speak with customer relations Susanna Hendricks and gave her the full details she seemed genuinely interested and stated that she would call back. I received no follow up call from her and when I called the business back Michael Lopez informed me that he would be the one dealing with my calls and they would not sell the vehicle. (I am a pre approved buyer with a large down payment) USE CAUTION IF TRYING TO PURCHASE FROM THIS LOCATION. HIDDEN FEES, MISREPRESENTED PRODUCTS ON VEHICLES. They could not furnish proof of install/application for any of the additional charges they are putting on your final invoice.

Took our van in for service for the same problem we took it in for two months prior. They didn’t have an appointment for several weeks because the transmission tech was not available. My appointment was at 8am but the lady who scheduled it said “just come in any time after 8 because I know you have kids to drop off at school.” I arrived around 9am. When I spoke to the service tech they said they didn’t know if they would get to it that day because their transmission tech was super backed up. We are still under warranty so they gave us a rental. We didn’t hear from them for several days. On Wednesday at 3:15 they called my husband and told him our rental is due back at 5pm that day or we would be billed for the rental.No explanation of what was wrong with or done to our vehicle and they expected us to drop everything and have the rental car there in two hours.Some info about the status of our vehicle would have been nice and some advance notice on rental being due back would have been awesome as well.When I went to pick up my van they didn’t tell me what was wrong with the vehicle, I had to ask. And they didn’t do anything to try and fix the problem. These cars have been known for transmission issues so the service advisor just said “it runs like the other vehicles like yours”. Well no joke, because there’s something wrong with the transmissions. He said they haven’t received a service notice from the manufacturer yet so “it’s probably something with the electronics since electronics run everything in the vehicle”. Not helpful.Anyway, I’m mostly irritated with their lack of customer service and giving us two hours to return a rental with absolutely zero notice that it was due back then. Thankfully I was at my mothers house just down the street but if I were at work this would have been a huge problem.

I pulled up and parked my old truck in the parking lot with the goal of finding a new used truck. I was right away approached by the new kid salesman which was not bad at all because he had not been tainted yet as the sleazy car salesman.we walked over to the very 1st of 3 trucks and I took it for a test drive. it was the truck. I then went for approval and met the finance mgr who happend to be a fellow Armenian which was awesome.The whole staff there was very accommodating and nice. we got the paperwork done and so far after a few months, I am happy with the sale, happy with the truck, and would recommend them.the only 1 downside was the new kid salesman promised me a full tank of gas before I left, they did not fill the tank up, then when I called back about it, they refused to fill up the truck saying they do not give full gas tanks for used trucks.Then I got a call back to come re-do the paperwork for the financing, which I did again and was an inconvenience, but after all was done.I was happy with the truck and happy it was all over.so, good dealer, just make sure to get what they say they will give you before you leave.

If you’re looking for the normal car buying experience, don’t come to Jack Powell. They don’t hound you or make you feel uncomfortable about the car buying process like every other dealership does. They treat you with respect and try to get you the best deal possible that you’re comfortable with.I was the worst person to sell a car to because of how picky I was, but Jeremy Kay at Jack Powell stuck with me and accommodated me in every way possible. In total, he showed me about 5 or 6 different trucks. I felt bad, but he kept reassuring me that he wanted me to feel comfortable with buying the right truck for me. I can’t thank Jeremy enough for the patience and professionalism he showed. If I’m ever in the market for a vehicle again, I’ll definitely be coming back to Jack Powell. Husband was contacted by Jack Powell because they wanted to make an offer on his truck that I posted on Auto Trader. He brought the truck on Friday (3-27-20) and was offered a very fair price, about $4k below KBB. He accepted the offer and scheduled to bring it back on Monday, since he needed to remove some equipment before giving the truck to them. After spending 3 hours removing the items (which he would have left on for private sale), he left work early to bring the truck Monday. Surprise surprise, they didnt honor the offer made on Friday. They dropped it by $3,500 dollars. When he asked why they wouldnt honor the offer they had said specifically they would honor, he just got an apology and an offer of a gas card. Total waste of his time, that actually cost him half a day of work. So frustrating that people dont have integrity.

After that, it was downhill.Everyone claimed full transparency, but I was not given that feeling. For example: a vehicle is simply a widget to be purchased. We give you a check, (from our bank), and you deliver vehicle. The structure of our loan from the bank should be irrelevant.The vehicle’s tires were well worn and I he spare was bald. To those facts we were extended no allowance. One would think Jack Powell might be more understanding.The manager, (call me old school), O feel was unprofessional as his arms were covered with visible tattoos. I am not against tatoos, but in a professional setting, they should be covered.Keith, (the finance guy), kept us waiting well over 45 minutes. Alone in his office. Another customer, I understand, but this is no way to treat a customer with money. (Remember, we have a clear view from the customer waiting area).Once we entered his office, he just wanted to tell stories, not work on the business at hand. We had to stop him and tell him to focus.There are two keys to a he vehicle. Two of the biggest factors for me in buying my new Ram 4x4 from Jack Powell were: My Salesperson Doug and the fact this dealership is the last family owned one in Escondido at the auto mall. These two factors were bigger than price and selection for me. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly. I received a call when my car was ready (something a lot of dealers don’t do). The checkout process was easy as well. Would highly recommend.
