I had a failing disk drive with windows 7 and older version of QB which I need for my work. Declan was a true professional and was able to clone my PC and add a solid state drive which runs blazing fast.Originally, I went to Geek Squad and they said there was nothing they could do for me because I was on windows 7. I am super happy that I called PC Repair on my way home from Best Buy. I described my issue with Declan over the phone and he got it immediately. He never made any promises and gave me the reality of the situation. I now have a way more stable system than before and didnt have to give my PC to ewaste. Declan is top notch!!! Thanks again!!!!

I am surprised at the poor service given the good reviews. Dropped a laptop with a screen problem off for diagnostics. After four days I initiated a call for a status update and it became clear that they had not even looked at the computer beyond a quick glance and did not have the right equipment onsite to even run diagnostics. Rather than get the right equipment (a simple HDMI adapter), the guy instead suggested that we start by ordering a new LCD screen and see what happens from there. The service person did not instill any confidence whatsoever so I elected to take the computer elsewhere, but not until after they charged me for diagnostic evaluation.Just to respond to your response: The tech indicated that it might be a screen issue or a motherboard issue. He said that before ordering a replacement screen we wanted to project onto another screen to ensure that it was not a motherboard issue. He did not have a USB-C to HDMI output to test. He indicated that he was waiting for the cord from the Oceanside office but it never came. His solution was to order a replacement screen (which would take about 5 business days) to confirm that it is a screen issue. If this didnt solve the problem then the motherboard would need to be replaced. I would have been fine with any necessary repair. What I am not fine with is a guessing approach that wastes time just because you dont have a $20 adapter.

I was trying to retrieve data from a very old Mac hard drive and didn’t have a clue. Javier explained everything to me, helped me sort out my options, and even tracked down the SCSI needed for the transfer. Despite all the time he invested and knowledge he shared, his charge (zero) was more than reasonable. Excellent attitude, top quality service, exceptionally responsive. I’ll be back.

My partner and I went to Peter with a PC that was not turning on most of the time. It was an old machine that we are not ready to replace. Peter didnt judge us or give us that high-handed tech guy attitude; he asked the right questions, did a diagnostic, called and gave a clear explanation of the problem and outlined 2 solutions with exact costs of implementing either. His service was affordable and top-quality. Hes quite busy, as you can imagine, so dont expect instantaneous service, but considering the price, location, and quality, it was more than reasonable on the speed front also. We will be returning to Peter with all our PC needs!

I was trying to clear up some space on my computer and deleted a bunch of files I had floating around that were taking up a bunch of space. I wasnt sure what they were for. But it turns out they were kind of important! Apparently they were required for my wifes accounting software to run. It was a big deal for us - we needed to restore those files ASAP. I know that deleting a file doesnt necessarily destroy the actual data, so I didnt lose hope yet. I tried some things first - there are programs out there that promise to restore deleted files. But nothing worked. So we decided to let PC Repair Center have a try. We explained the problem, and they got to work. They were able to fix the problem quite easily, it seems. They called the next day to say they found the deleted files and had them restored. The software started working as if nothing happened! As of Daniel here I would say you have to call them and try to resolve this issu since they are the best (BTW my review is real!)

I bought my used laptop from Javier and have been really pleased with the product and with his support. Since, we have had two laptops upgraded. Sure is comforting to have them here.

I found this place after encountering very rude customer service at another location. From the moment I walked through the front door, Declan was informative, polite, and friendly. I left my laptop for a few days and they fixed it completely and at a third of the cost the previous place quoted. Javier did a great job quickly changing out a dvd drive and getting the stuck dvd out for me. He also put a new casing and cleaned up the computer. I arrived at 5:00 on a Saturday night when he closed at 6:30pm and he worked on it right away for me. I would highly recommend his service.

What a great place to add to Encinitas! I have used them before at the Oceanside shop and loved them then! I came in with a bad news about my MacBook. The apple store told me it will take $759 to fix it and replace my logic-board and Jorge at the Computer repair Center game me a free check up and priced the repair at $295! really nice! took some time to get the part (I didnt want to pay for the overnight) but when it arrived all was working as it should! I would go there whenever I have a problem!
