A good Place where to go for the Hitch installation.Nice people, respectful and very professional.The installer is just the right person at the right place.I recommend the place if you are looking for a place to get a job done without stress.

Advertises they are the best place for propane however there is always a crisis. I have literally went there 8 times for refills and only 3 times were successful. If there is a drop of rain in the forecast they do not fill. Not a cloud in the sky but they weren’t filling one day because it’s going to rain. If it’s not that they are out or the system is down and can’t accept even cash for fills. Finally, they do not answer phone calls either.

What’s more fun than trying to get propane and waiting over 30 minutes without even being greeted by one of the employees. Usually it’s nice to hear “hey will help you out in a couple minutes” to give customers a little bit of hope that they didn’t waste their time coming to this place

Awfully run franchise. Manager was extremely rude and prejudice for the entirety of professional relationship. We were given a truck with an ash tray full to the brim with cigarette butts in may (I am auto immune deficient so it was really disappointing to learn they did not adhere to cleaning procedures in the midst of a pandemic). Business Did not include the additional tools we had asked for yet charged us for them anyway including a service fee. Made up their own prices when returned and charged an extra 300$ for literally nothing. Extremely difficult and Unpleasant. Rent a truck from home depot instead, you’ll save yourself a headache and health risk

Called here on 9/13/21 at about 5pm to ask how long a box would take to get to my address if ordered online. I was immediately presented with an attitude by a women on the phone, I know their were outleast 2 women working that day, because I called prior and spoke to a women with a latino accent, that was just fine, no issues, helped out and asked all my questions great, the other women when I called back, with the attitude was white. I say this so the two can be differentiated and that is all, so when someone calls for service or if their superiors decide to reprimand, they know who it was, because unfortunately I did not get a name, maybe I will when I go for my box if I have to go their. Anyway, her attitude was basically what do you mean, like I asked my question in another language. When I asked her why I was being presented with an attitude, her response was because your giving me an attitude and than decided to go ahead and hang up. Asking someone why they are giving you an attitude, isnt an attitude, but regardless, normal protocol for a business is to always remain respectful with a customer no matter what, but I was polite, so their was absolutely no reason I was treated that way. Worst part is, I have to go their to buy a different box and now dont really want to now as a result of how I was treated by that women with that attitude. Thats a 1 out of 5 situation. Poor. This employee just took u hauls name down with her in my mind. Hopefully she doesnt take that attitude to another business and drag that companies name down with her too... Her behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional. Unfortunately these days, good help is hard to find across the board.I keep reviewing places, so others know what to expect. Thats the expectation here as of now.I will most likely buy my box elsewhere now, if I am able to. I suggest taking your business elsewhere, home depot sells boxes and rents trucks and trailers at comparable prices. Maybe you wont receive an attitude their. Thats a suggestion. If not their are other rentals, hertz, penske, take your pick.Next time, Ill say what do you mean, what do you mean? I mean how long does a box artive if I order it online is what I mean lol. Braindead people lol. From other reviews and an average rating of barely 3.0 clearly Im not the first who has seen the incompetence here.

We bought a hitch from U-Haul and also paid for its installation. U-Haul East Brunswick confirmed a time and a date 10 days from when we placed the order. I rescheduled my work meetings to make sure I could be there to get the job done. At no point prior to my arrival at the facility were we informed of the part not being available, either by phone or by email. When I reached the store I was not only informed of the part being unavailable but I further ticked off by the lack of concern of putting another person at inconvenience. The manager, Colleen Ryan, was not one bit apologetic about lack of communication from their end and least bothered how incredibly inconvenient this whole thing was. If we had known that parts arent available we wont have booked U-Haul East Brunswick ...Letting people down at the last minute is just not the done thing. And giving people a refund by pretending that you are doing them a favour and not acknowledging ones own failings that contributed to the situation at hand is a sure sign of a badly managed place heading towards decay.

Booked a 20 foot Uhaul over a month ago to move into our new house. East Brunswick Uhaul called the day before to let us know that because people were still on vacation, they were downgrading us to a 15 foot truck.This couldn’t be avoided for someone who booked in advance moving into a HOUSE?! Such a frustrating pain.Wish we knew ahead of time and we would’ve gone with a different moving company. Have a plan B if going with Uhaul…

One star because Google won’t let me go -4 stars. Unprofessional (girl on customer service phone cursing out someone on the other line in front of me), Rude Service with no explanation or instructions, and when I left something in the car I tried calling the store and after an hour plus waiting on queue I had to explain everything to their corporate office not even them. Also I found out they got my contact, address, and name wrong when they took my information 😂. To call their service a joke would be a grave overselling of the quality.

Just recently used them and my invoice agreed price was $140. They charged my bank card $181 and then a few days later another $112 without my authorization. They are crooks. Do not use them. Uhaul in north Brunswick so much better. I went less than 30 miles each way and used less than half a tank of gas. They make up their own prices after you return the truck and overcharge. On top of that they are nasty and rude. Do not use them. Stay away!

Absolute crooks!! Jim and Jackie returned my Uhaul. I drove 70 miles which should be $140. I was charged $190. When I told them this was incorrect they told me you have to come in two days and talk to manager Colleen. Then Jim the young worker there told me to “get out” and did not let me finish my sentence. They are miserable here. Look at the rest of the reviews here. Many of the same thing. Do not go to this Uhaul. And Jackie and Jim need a lot of work and need to understand they are in the costumer service industry and they need to learn how to communicate with costumers respectfully. If you are a UHUAL district manager reading this. You have some work to do. Jackie and Jim need a lot of work and training. If I could give 0 stars I would but google doesn’t allow me to submit it without one star.

Colleen Ryan, the manager at this location did nothing to assist me when I spoke to her because I was “double charged for gas” . I replaced the gas I used snd yet was charged for it on my bill. She told me I should’ve taken a picture of the gas gauge ... REALLY?????!! I submitted a picture of my credit card statement showing proof of the gas I paid for and replaced . So disheartening that even during a pandemic people are still so mean and dishonest. CUSTOMERS DO NOT USE UHAUL AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT GO TO THE EAST BRUNSWICK LOCATION . CROOKS!!!!! Shame on you . (Guess I’ll call “7 on your side” next to share my story and awful experience )

Waited 5 minutes for service, seeing another customer leave due to the wait, just to be declined service. One if the employees was friendly at least but his superior was rude and unhelpful. I later spoke with the manager who made excuses and backed the poor behavior.

Rating:Truck was old and outdated. Barely had any power and was noisy. This may be the last time I use U-Haul. Stay away! They charge for every little thing. The truck came back in the exact same condition it left in with the exception of mileage. I took a pic of the odometer reading and gas gauge. Returned it with the same amount of gas and they tried to charge me for not filling it up. Showed the the pic and they removed the charge. Take pics of damage to the truck before you leave the lot. They say they send you a text with a link but the text nor the link are clear on filling the tank up. Then they say you signed the contract and try every which way to charge you. They even charge you per mile.

Scheduled a hitch mount installation, they charged me $25 for shipping the part and promised that it will be deducted during the final installation. I am way past the installation date (and I had to call them to find out that the part was not arrived). Since no news from them, I called them back to see if the order can be cancelled. Now they needs to charge me for the hitch mount shipping fee ($25) - for something that was never shipped.Stay away!

Horrible customer service at this uhaul. Took my reservation almost a month ago then 6 days before my move tells me I the 26’ box truck I reserved for 48 hours has to get an oil change and no longer has it. They offered me the same truck but at a further location and it can only be rented for 24 hours. That’s just useless to me. Customer service would not help me out in any way and told me to deal with it on my own with the new uhaul store. Don’t bother wasting your time with this uhaul. Very unprofessional.

Hitch I stallation: Do not believe anything they tell you at this Uhaul location. Do your self a favor and take your business elsewhere. Thats what manager of this location recommended when first she told me I dont have an appointment when I paid for the hitch and received confirmation email.Than she gave me new appointment only to call me in two days to tell me they gave my hitch to another customer (first come first served) and I will have to wait another two weeks or take my business else where.Do yourself a favor; take your business elsewhere.

I scheduled an appointment through 1800-GO-UHAUL to have a trailer wiring harness installed same day at the East Brunswick location. I received a call 3 hours before my appointment saying the location did not have capacity to honor the appointment and had to cancel. No attempt to reschedule or move the appointment to another location, just sorry, good luck. The manager also complained about an insurance claim they had to pay related to a similar wiring harness installation, so I suspect they simply didnt want to do the work. Incredibly rude and unprofessional.

I scheduled an install of a hitch on my sons car. I cannot express my satisfaction here. I showed up and Fred was so inviting and engaging it was unbelievable. He got me a cup of coffee and made sure I was comfortable since I decided to wait the 90 minutes to install my hitch. He even offered me some amazing brownies during my wait. He checked on me many times. Once the install was complete I then met what I will call Master Phil. Phil walked me through the install.. He had to do some custom stuff (No charge) in order the make the hitch work right. He takes great pride in his work. Showed me how to use everything and was just a great person to work with. I highly recommend U-Haul of EB for all your moving needs. They are really nice people.

When picked up trailer it was full of snow, the worker cleaned as much as he could, after loading the car on trailer noticed that one strap was ripped, called location no answer, when I came back to drop it off they didn’t want to do anything about the price since they gave me a defective trailer which could have caused an accident, but they can’t do anything about it.

I always go to this location at least 8 times a year and I always get this Asian lady always with attitude . I ask her why every time i come here you have a face and with attitude and her answer was “ I go by work I don’t go by my expressions or emotions with the costumer” so I told her to cancel my order and I moved on to order online.

Had to move to another state this time and changed arrangements a couple of times. Always calm and understanding. I appreciate everything that was done for me. Nothing got damaged or broken. Came here to rent storage space and what a nightmare!!! They assign me a rental this has things in it. He cut the lock and said he would remove by the time i came back. I get back and the stuff is still there!! Get assigned a new space and now im waiting forever the one person working is taking forever to change it in the computer. Hope my stuff is secure!Came back a few weeks later to inquire about using the dumpster for a fee and they tell me its for store use only (which is not what I was told when renting my unit, and its posted on the fee chart in the store). This guy is talking in circles and not making any sense. Do I have access to the dumpster or not?? Very Rude and Incompetent.UPDATE 10/06/18: Seems to be under better management. I give 3 star rating.

My wife and I stopped in after grocery shopping at 10 am to get our propane tank filled. I went in to stand on line. My wife sat in our car by the tank. After about 10 minutes, the female employee left to show customer their truck and told us in line she would be back in 5 minutes. Upon seeing my wife waiting by our tank, the employee asked if we can come back in 30 minutes. My wife informed her that I was waiting in line. The employee said any customer that came in for rentals would be taken before me. Horrible service and not the first time with this employee. Have been told she didnt have a drawer that we had to use a credit card. On another occasion, we were told she was too busy. My wife is a General Manager of a storage facility and this is unacceptable.

I rented a 17 uhaul yesterday. to say the least the truck was in horrible condition and was near impossible to control on the road. I rent uhauls multiple times a year and have driven tractor trailers at other jobs so i know how to handle a vehicle. on top of that the fuel gauge was not working. when i rented the vehicle it was almost full. according to their mpg rates i should have gone thru approximately 14 gallons and ended up putting 24 in. worker at desk didnt care and didnt even apologize about the truck being in bad condition and unsafe to be on the road.

BE CAREFUL - Worst Uhaul branch !Called Uhaul to get a hitch fixed on my Audi Q5, ordered the hitch after a quote, After the hitch arrived, We made an appointment to get it fixed.When we went to drop the SUV guy who was fixing it said they were over booked and we need to make an appointment some other day or wait for 3-4 hours, we decided to wait, After an hour or so he called me back to say that they did a mistake - and had ordered the **Wrong Hitch**. - they will have to reorder the right one, after a wait of another week the new hitch arrived - they took the Audi in, in about 30-40 minutes they asked us to come in again to EXPLAIN something - the guy who was fixing the hitch told us that this AUDI has a lot of wires and parts and he needs to take some parts off and he cannot guarantee that he can put all the parts back in.Basically they were inexperienced and very unprofessional. They did not value our time, did not care for customer service. We decided NOT to get the hitch fixed because they were unsure of how to do it on an AUDI 2018 model. It would have saved us time and money if they would have mentioned it when we called to ask for the quote. #Uhaulcustomercareboo

BED BUGS IN TRUCKS! Do not use this location! They do not clean their trucks or inspect them after someone has dropped them off. When I went to pick up the truck the man at the desk could not find any of the trucks he was trying to give to customers because they were all parked the wrong spot. When we went to find my truck we walked all over the parking lot trying to find it and when we finally did, he admitted it didnt go through the area where it should have been cleaned. I had to pay $1300 for an exterminator! Colleen, their manager, (horrible attitude) seems to think bed bugs only live on humans and couldnt possibly be in the truck. With such low intelligence in management, you can see why this location has so many problems!

This was the worst place, down right discrimination of a friend who has lived in area for 32 years. Is a very successful business man who hapens to be Arab ...i believe name Jackie would not rent to him did not explain why.. just nope no rental . It was the-down right disrespect and attitude that was so insulting. She needs coaching or some better skills or should not deal with public . I called ahead of time to check that they filled RV propane tanks, as I was on a trip, and I made a detour to come here. After arrival, they turned me away because my rv was too old. Its a 2000 class C. Its been refilled about 11 times in the past year, mostly at other uhaul locations. They get 1 star for wasting my time and gas money, even when I called in advance. They could have said there were restrictions if they have them.

I was confirmed to pick up a 9 van at 9 am at East Brunswick U-Haul on Rt 18. At 8:15 am the pick up day, a woman called me that the van will not be ready to pick up until 6 pm. She said unless I willing to return the van to East Brunswick U-Haul instead one way rental, and pay extra $54, there will be no van available at 9 am. I told her the apartment will not let us move in after 6 pm. She became very rude, and said it is a very busy time and hung up the phone.Just wondering how can the East Brunswick U-Haul not honor a confirmed one way rental, and demanding extra money.

Summary: MAKE SURE THE CUSTOMER BEFORE DROPS OFF THE VAN ON TIME and stand by your policies!!I scheduled a pick-up for a van at 11:15am on Saturday and the customer before was 45 MINUTES LATE. UHAUL promises if you do not receive your rental on time, you get a $50 credit. I had to rush and get the truck back to the facility, because the drop off time was the same.After I asked who I contact to get this $50 credit, I was told to contact 1-800-GO-UHAUL. So I called the hotline (by samantha) and was informed they couldnt give me the credit and I had to file a complaint to get the manager at the store to approve it and apply to my account.The manager called me back and said technically this doesnt qualify, but youll get XX credit towards your recent purchase. As a result, the rating went from poor to below average. The employees are friendly, but they dont stand by the company policy of giving a customer a $50 credit for not receiving their rental on time.This is unacceptable and the fact that I have to go in circles to receive something that is GUARANTEED, is ridiculous. I will take my business elsewhere.
