This was hands down the worst experience in a store that Ive ever had. The person who was helping me (I use that word generously) barked every word at me, was extremely rude, and talked to me like I was stupid throughout the entire transaction - he did not smile once, did not listen to what I was saying (I inquired about possibly upgrading my phone because it was older and later he said so you want new phones for everyone - no, I didnt say that!). When I came in to inquire about going back to Verizon after spending a few months with T-Mobil (another nightmare!), he said that he couldnt help me because it was less than 3 months (but didnt give me a chance to actually confirm this since I was sure it had been July when we switched) and he immediately put me on the phone on hold for win back department for nearly 30 minutes! The irony of sitting on hold with Verizon while sitting in a Verizon store where no one was willing to actually listen to or help me was nuts. When the woman on the phone answered she said it was too long since Id switched and she couldnt help me (which we knew) so my time had been fully wasted - also at that point the guy helping me changed his story and said the rule was 65 days, not three months, so there REALLY was no reason for him to have left me on hold with win back that whole time - he just didnt want to help me. I just kept thinking - I walked in this door to give you my money and youre practically chasing me out! I did in fact leave without switching over because I was so stressed by the experience - even after he hung up the phone with win back he was barely helpful to me (just putting a list of rates in front of me to look at without any explanation or assistance in understanding what each one meant). When I asked for information on the phone options for upgrading he literally sighed and just listed off every single phone that exists without providing any information on any of them (while also talking to me like Im stupid and should know all the phones and their features). This Verizon used to be so helpful and welcoming, and we never really minded the wait because we knew that we would have our questions answered once someone became available, but today was a different experience entirely. I will never go back there.

My mom went into the store today and was legitimately bullied by one of the employees. The second she entered the store she was abruptly put on hold with “win back” even though she told the employee she left Verizon in July. He was standing in the corner on his phone while my mom was on hold for something she didn’t need. Once the customer service representative from win back answered the phone, this man pushed my mom aside to speak with the customer service representative, who was clearly confused as to why she was being called for a service she was unable to provide. After this unnecessary phone, this employee continued to harass my mom and speak in a short, angry tone until he finally ran her out of the store. From what I can see, people are having similar experiences at this store and to the owner of Verizon at New Hope Commons: do better.

This eating is for ALL Verizon stores. I have NEVER gone into a store & had my problem fixed in the store! I always have some other phone number to call. I noticed most of the customers in there were having to call customer service. The stores are only to buy their products.

This place is a joke. No one working there had a sense of time management or helping multiple people at once, and I blame the manager Lakesha. Came in to be told it would be a 30 minute wait. Flash forward 30 mins when someone walks in and grabs the attention of the manager as well as 2 employees to talk about his plan. They have enough people “working” but out of the 5 on employees on the floor there seemed to be zero care for the wait time for customers. By the time I’m helped by Lakesha, she told me the person who greeted me shouldn’t have signed me in to wait and that I needed to place a call to customer service, which I’m sure I would have connected with someone immediately, right?

I just change from Verizon to AT&T. I had visited this location twice , just for simple rerun for a phone purposed 2 weeks ago. Each time I had waiting time for 2-hours then asks me to call customer service to get my account information because they do not have access to it. When I got the information, they were still unable to process my return, even one of the agent asked me for the full SSN. Finally after many calls and waiting, they ask me to pay in front $50 repackaged for a basic phone was cost $ 60 …😂😂 I feel so bad for their poor customers service 😞😞

I visited this location today, seeking a replacement phone for my phone which was not only cracked, but had sustained recent water damage and wasn’t operational at the time. The checking in staff, as well as the first gentleman who assisted me were very courteous and professional. However, when I got home, I realized that the pics and data weren’t properly transferred to my new phone. I returned to the store and was very promptly and thoroughly assisted by MARCUS (putting his name in all caps because that’s how awesome he was!)! Not only was Marcus courteous and professional, he was extremely knowledgeable about resolving my situation, while almost singlehandedly resolving other customers issues throughout the store, all while maintaining the best composure with customers and coworkers! Marcus truly deserves a raise, promotion and management status!

I was promptly greeted and both associates were very nice and helpful! Store got very busy but they both kept their cool and stayed organized and on task. They were helping me while also appropriately trying to multitask. My phone issue didnt work out but by no fault of theirs. If it was fixable, these guys wouldve done it. Thank you!

I worked with the manager and the process was SO easy. He took the time to listen to my entire complicated phone situation, answered a ton of my questions about an upgrade, and helped me set up my phone. He was super friendly and I was in and out quickly!

When I checked in, I was told it would be an 8-10 minute wait. The person in front of me was told 5-8 minutes, so I didnt hear incorrectly. I was surprised. The place seemed busy. My surprise was warranted. About 40 minutes in, the woman who checked in ahead of me made eye contact, and we both commented that this was a heck of a lot longer than 8 minutes.Instead of 8-10 minutes, it ended up being 50 minutes, and they did not have the phone I wanted in stock. I dont begrudge them the stocking issue; new phone releases are often sold out. I do begrudge them the fact that they clearly misrepresented the wait time. Every business knows their staffing and work flow, and to miss the estimated wait time by five-fold is either incompetence or misinformation. This is not acceptable customer service.In sum, Im not coming back here again. If you have all the time in the world or come during off hours, this may be a decent store. But, dont believe what they say about wait times. And in the end, if you cant believe them about one thing, is it worth believing them about something else? Im going elsewhere.

Bryan at this location was absolutely wonderful. My fiancé and I were looking to merge our phone plans and upgrade our phones. He fully took the time to explain to us what that would look like and helped us do so. I had lots of questions about the difference between different phone models and helped us make an educated decision without any pressure. He was also able to get us an amazing discount on our accessories as well. I’d highly recommend asking for him when you stop by.

Poor customer service, employees seem inexperienced in routine Verizon service. An employee refused to help me purchase a new phone because he thought I was not the account owner (his mistake when pulling up my account info). I went strait to the kiosk in the corner, logged in and ordered my new phone and purchased a charger at the kiosk using my card. When I returned to the front with my text message receipt a different employee informed me he “canceled my order on the spot because he overheard the other employee tell me I don’t have account privileges”. When he pulled up my account and I showed him my ID he agreed it was a mistake and said he had already canceled my order, but if I went and grabbed the charger off the shelf he would ring it up again and I would need to order my new phone again. What a cluster.. I just told him to leave it canceled. I went online and ordered my new phone and charger. My last new phone purchase a couple years ago at a different location (same plan no changes) was simple and easy. Just replace this location with a kiosk, the employees are definitely not helping sales.

I had a very nice experience at this store. One of the associates, Marcus Jones, worked with me on my phones problem for over an hour and I really appreciated that! Was even offered a seat and a phone charger while I waited for the issue to be fixed. TL;DR: Good service and helpful staff!

Worst customer service I think I’ve ever had with a cellphone company. 3hrs working with their incompetent staff to switch from AT&T and they couldn’t even do it. You can tell none of the staff cares at all. Just overall horrible experience, terrible management and waste of time. Stick with AT&T.

Hardworking staff that do show genuine concern for customers. Typically very busy, especially during the holidays. This stores supports STEM programs for children on Saturdays through Project Lead the Way, so check out Eventbrite for sessions. Lots of Google devices, along with phones.

I came into the store for a broken phone screen. Apparently thats all done through a third party. I wasnt able to get my account info entered, and the store rep couldnt provide or reset any information without my phone working.I decided to avoid the headache and looked at new phones. Half of the ones on display dont work or turn on. There are no prices on any of them. Of course, the ones I tried to buy are out of stock. No stores in the area carry them either.Would not recommend coming into this store. Employee wasnt very knowledgeable about the phones or the processes. Felt like I left worse off than when I came in.

Derick was the best! After having to deal with a rude Manger at the Verzion on North Point Dr. I had to get a new phone because I was told by verzion customer service that My I phone 7 said no service because they have been recalled which isn’t true! I have had that phone for years. I wasn’t looking forward to getting a new phone. So I finally decided to get the I phone 11. I did store pick up at North Point dr location in durham Nc. I received a text saying my phone was ready for pick up. I go pick it up go home and take it out the box to activate it and there’s s huge Knick under my screen. I called customer service 5 times and where told I could exchange it within 14 days due to a default. Let’s just say I went back to North point dr and was told they were Gonna call the law because I didn’t want to leave with a knick in my screen. So after many days on the phone with customer service and going to 4 different verzion stores this verzion location was the best!! No stress and was really nice and respectful!! Im definitely coming back to this location! Thank you Derick for your help and kindness!

I signed up for a five phone plan and the sales rep on the phone said it would be easy to switch over and all that would have to be done is to pick up the sim cards and insert them. At the store, Bryan and Richard then had to work over two hours calling various departments to get the sim cards to work and the numbers ported over. I believe the phone reps should spend some time in the stores to see it isnt always that easy. Kudos to Bryan and Richard for the time and effort to get these working, and staying after hours!

At 10:10am Monday I went to get IN HOUSE Help. The store was COMPLETELY EMPTY. The young Verizon staff who stopped me outside first had no idea how to get a land line number moved to my phone, and told me I would have to go online. When I told him I would need technical help, he said to go online and make an appointment. Finally he said he would make me an appointment for 11 am. And no customers in the store at all! I returned to my car to try to find somewhere else for help. In a few minutes he approached my car and said I could come in. Once inside he still had no idea what to do and the woman he called said she wasnt sure as this was her first time to try it. I have no idea IF or WHEN the change will occur or HOW TO FIND OUT? The lack of competence and common sense was astounding!

I had an emergency incident with my phone on a Friday evening and was panicking since all of my business is done with my cell. I got the opportunity to work with Rakeem Covington and Rafel Reves and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. They calmly went through all of my options and their combined knowledge of programs offered and insurance products were able to find a solution that worked. i would have no idea what I would have done without this wonderful team. I cannot say enough good things about these two. Thank you!

I went in to activate my phone. As I sat in one of the comfy chairs I realized that there were at least two other people in front of me. It also dawned on me that these folks had been waiting for quite some time. I began to watch the Verizon representatives and nicked there were at least five employees in the store. Two of them were feverishly helping customers while the other three spent the majority of their time in the back room. One of the backroom male employees would emerge sporadically from the back with a smart tablet in his hand, speak to customers ( it looked like he was adding the, to the queue) and then disappear. One of the backroom female employees would emerge to answer questions and then disappear. The final backroom employee, a male, who appeared to be the manager would emerge and walk across the room and out the door. I never saw him interact with a customer. After about 25 minutes, when I was called upon, I approached one of the employees who had feverishly been helping customers. I told him I needed my phone activated and as he was doing so I politely said “It looks like only two of you are working.” He snidely responded “Just because you don’t see our employees helping others it does not mean they are not working. Each employee has a different role.” To which I responded “that is what you are supposed to say, however, if this many people are waiting this amount of time it would appear to me that some people should have multiple roles.” They appeared product knowledgeable but I am not one for bad customer service so I will not return. Do yourself a favor and go to the one at University Mall in Chapel Hill.

Came here to get an upgrade for my mom. I have her on my account. We were greeted and served immediately upon entry into the store. My mom was able to choose the iPhone of her choice and a nice cover that she loved. Couldnt be more satisfied but for a discount? ;) We have been customers for over a decade after all.. :)

The associate who helped me was Brian Allen. I came in to Verizon at New Hope Commons in Durham because I had just dropped my phone in the Best Buy parking lot and - it died completely- I saw a phone at Best Buy at an awesome sale price, but was not sure I should get one at Best Buy and let them activate my phone ( I was worried that my plan would change) I went over to the nearby Verizon store and spoke with Brian, he worked with me diligently to get the exact phone for a fair, comparable price. He also came up with some very inventive ways to save money on my monthly billing price. While I was in the store working out this deal of a life time I interacted with the other store associates. I can honestly say that each employee was just as willing to help as Brian.It is important to add that I live in 40 minutes away in Wake Forest. I have been to Verizon Stores in Wake Forest, North Raleigh, and Raleigh. This has been the best experience I have had in the full 20 or more years I have had a Verizon phone. Brian was knowledgeable and helped me get my account in order with things that were over looked by the other local store associates. Also, all Verizon stores are busy, but just wait your turn and know that Verizon has the best cell phone coverage you can get.

Don’t deal with this Verizon unless Lamont or Rakeem is willing to assist you. In fact, try to go with another phone service provider! The way my mother was treated today, 8/8/2020 is ridiculous and definitely want call for! The young man at the door with the glasses and spike hair had the audacity to talk to my mother rudely and basically told her that if she was unhappy with Verizon, then go somewhere else! But another employee came to assist her and I’m THANKING YOU SO MUCH! People don’t understand how this pandemic is affecting people so then to be mistreated as a customer especially when we have been with Verizon for over 20 plus years!!! DON’T SHOP HERE! Ordered a new iPhone for store pickup from this store. Charged me full price for it (without trade in deducted) then when I got to the store they said they couldn’t give it to me due to their system “acting slow”. I already bought the phone but they couldn’t give it to me at the store. I could not cancel the order either or buy the phone in a different transaction. This was due to the phone being “blacklisted” and not available (since I already “bought” it).The manager’s solution was paying an extra $150 (on top of the full price iPhone I just paid for and could not have) for a pink rose gold iPhone there that today. So even though I already paid for a different color that I wanted, I would have to pay extra for a product I did not want. I declined.The manager and one employee were extremely rude and disrespectful saying it was my fault that my bank declined the transaction. This was untrue and I even brought a printed copy of my bank statement and the receipt from my purchase. Throughout this whole time nobody including the manager or Verizon wireless phone support could tell me what was going on.In conclusion, I went to Best Buy instead. They actually offered me more money for my trade in than Verizon. I got $300 for my iPhone XR while Verizon couldn’t even declare an estimated amount for it or give me a phone that I paid for! Took me 5 minutes to buy the phone at Best Buy instead of a total 6 hours with Verizon.A day later they have refunded my payment. I will never go back there again and neither should you!UPDATE FOR OCTOBER**Came in a few days ago. Employee outside wouldn’t sell me a screen protector because he was too lazy to check if they had them in stock. This is literally the worst Verizon I’ve ever seen

While I was waiting in-store for a rep, I found good on-line details. My rep, Linda, patiently walked me through the entire on-line purchase. I asked her if she would earn a commission on my new phone purchase. She said not for an on-line purchase. She proceeded to help me for at least 30 minutes and treated me wonderfully even though she was giving up her time with no commission. She was remarkable.

I returned unopened accessory and have not received my credit despite phone call, having to visit the store again during the pandemic, and multiple unanswered emails. No one seems to know what is going on and are unable and unwilling to resolve this - this is unacceptable. Beware - buy your accessories on-line from reputable sources.

Waited for 20 minutes only for the person to tell me that because I wasnt the account holder (Im her daughter) I couldnt actually pick it up. I told him I had the credit card used to pay for it and my ID, but he said she had to come pick it up or call and authorize me to. And because I had already had to wait, he said it was too late for her to call even if she did right now (it was still 10 minutes until they closed and the phone was ready and in his hand). I live 30 minutes away and the only reason I wanted to pick it up at this store was because I was in the area. Im really frustrated and going to see if I can pick it up at another location.

I can be two hours away and need to make a trip to Verizon and I will still travel to this store. The people here are simply amazing. My daughter and I went to the store today and there were a number of people there. An associate named Kelsey checked us in. I asked her how many people were ahead of us the answer I got was I dont know a handful maybe. When I asked again if she knew how long the wait would be she said I dont know. Then we asked her how many associates were working to help us gauge our time. Her answer was all of us. Quite frankly when I was in my store in Boone, North Carolina the associate told me there were two people ahead of me and five people working. After a few minutes, we approached another associate whose name I didnt get and she was kind enough to tell us two people were ahead of us and answer my daughters question about her phone. She also informed me there were nine salespeople. I never complain but Kelsey was so rude I felt impelled to write a review.. I have been a Verizon customer for many years and have never encountered rudeness before. Kelsey has a terrible attitude and needs to have some training in politeness and customer service. I hope her manager sees this review and will have a little talk with her.

Very understaffed. I spent over two hours with two separate trips to attempt to join Verizon. Staff employees appeared to have inconsistent knowledge of promotions and did not appear to listen to my requests, even though I stated them at the beginning of the visit. After I left the store the second time, a quick google search pulled up a promotion that would have been useful for them to be aware of, however, due to the incredibly long wait times, I will not be returning to this store.

This store is where I first switched to Verizon about 5 years ago and Ive always had excellent service here although sometimes quite busy and you have to wait 15+ minutes. Today I had to go in just to get my billing address changed as their online digital assistant was very problematic and couldnt handle my request. Gave up after over an hour without success last night. After a one minute or so wait, Jeremy had me all set in less than 5 minutes and I was on my way. David Batista has also been very helpful in the past. Why cant their online presence be like this store?

When I walked in (after spending hours on the phone with several different Verizon wireless associates), I was immediately greeted by Moe (Im pretty sure thats what her name was). She was very kind, respectful, and helpful. Id been having issues with my phone since I got the device and nothing I could do was fixing the issue. Id been really reluctant to go to the store because I havent had a great deal of success with Verizon store associates.After taking my name and assisting me with what she could, I sat down to wait to speak to a solutions provider. For the life of me, I dont remember his name but after 10-15 minutes of discussing he issued me a new phone and I was on my way! Both associates were very helpful and I really should have just gone to this Verizon store to begin with instead of spending HOURS on the phone.Everyone in the store seemed to be in a pretty good mood and seemed very approachable. They seemed like they enjoyed their job and their team. I dont often leave reviews, but I was really impressed with the store. Thanks for making my experience a good one!

Had a Horrible experience-> they barely helped me -> kept walking away to talk to the other coworkers (there was like 8+ of them & only me & 1 or 2 other customers).. ended up losing everything on my phone (another Verizon Ive been to in the past was able to fix it wo losing anything {had the same prob})..

Ive been coming to the store for years not because they want to but because its near my house and its convenient. The employees never seem to have a good attitude. Also the wait times are incredibly long they wanted me to wait 20 minutes to pay a phone bill that would take 3 minutes to do. The way the employees talk to customers seems to be very rude and as if they were talking down to you. It has been this way for years and it has never changed and Ive decided Im not coming . I really think corporate should come in and re evaluate this store.

As busy as it was, I was greeted so quickly! The service was exceptional & everyone there seemed so engaged with their customer. Before I knew it, I walked out switching 6 lines from T-Mobile. Kudos to Mike B - he’s definitely an ALLSTAR! He was professional, warm, genuine, & most of all efficient!!!!

Terrible experience. Ordered new service online because you can get a much better deal and was told I could go to a Verizon store and receive a SIM card so I could activate the service the same day. The manager here refused to give me a card and insisted I had to cancel my order and purchase service in the store. I called customer service and they were shocked and said that she should definitely not be withholding SIM cards for any reason. They tried to reason with her, but she insisted on selling me the service instead. It caused so many billing issues and headaches for me. I’ve been trying to untangle the mess for a month now. Every time I explain the situation to Verizon customer service they’re shocked at the refusal of this store manager and apologize for her disregard for company policies. Avoid this location. They will try to take advantage of you and sell you a higher priced service than you can setup online.

The employees that work at this location do not know what real customer service is and the idea of visiting a store location is so that you can talk to someone face to face not on the phone, i can’t say that i was helped because when I arrived there only so that they could call the customer service line on my phone which after 1 hr on the phone still couldn’t help me and after a while just hung up on me. Also don’t expect the manager to be someone with skills as to what is best for the customer because she seemed not to care about anything at all.

I had to give a one-star to do a review I give this store - 100 * went in with a broken phone told me that I had to upgrade it for $800 next day it will have to pay $100 deductible to have my old phone replace I have insurance on all my phone Verizon store in Durham is the worst I will not go back had to go to Sanford to get a better deal greatpeople in Sanford North Carolina love them

Phone displays are terrible. Most phones dont work, are very worn or not working. You better know what you want before visiting the store, because displays just wont facilitate a decision.

I wish I could give them no stars! Ive been to this location many times and Ive never had a hard time with anyone until last week. I bought an iPhone 7+, and Samantha, (my sells rep) told me that when I purchase a new phone $100 worth of accessories came with it. She even walked me around the store and told me to pick the case I want, AND put the glass screen protector on my phone; however when I received my bill for the next month, I was being charged an extra $100. When I went to Verizon to ask why, they told me it was because Samantha charged me for the accessories. Samantha was supposed to call me to explain what happened, but she never did. When I called the store no one answered. Therefore, I called corporate. Corporate got me and Samantha on the phone and she tried to tell me that she did not tell me that. But she also told my friend the same thing when I referred her there to get a new phone (Samantha assisted with that transaction as well). She ended up charging my friend for her $100 worth of accessories and told her that her bill would be $116 a month and it ended up being $136. If you do choose to go here, do NOT let Samantha sell you a thing because she is a LIAR and MINIPULATER! Luckily corporate heard everything she told me on the phone and knew it sounded fishy. Samantha ended up crediting my account for $121. Although I got my money back, Samantha tried to lie about the situation on the phone with corporate. Do not waste your time here, you might get overcharged for something you were told was free.

Dishonest business. Sales rep told me I would get free accessories and a free promotional device with my phone upgrade. When I asked questions about the promotions, they assured me everything was free and didnt elaborate. I was there for over an hour so they had plenty of time to explain. I got charged for all of it (plus extra monthly charges for the new device ... which I havent even taken out of the box). By the time it showed up on my bill it was past the 14 day return policy.

I wasnt impressed. When I signed up for a phone through Verizon. They sold me a phone I didnt want. They didnt ask me which phone I wanted. They didnt open the box and show the phone, before they took it to the back room, to put a sim card in it. As soon as I can get out of the deal with them, Im gone. They didnt do me right at all.

Went to Southpoint Mall to visit store and it was all closed up. Then spent almost an hour trying to get Verizon to give me the next nearest location. It is a nightmare trying to contact a live person at Verizon on the phone. The computer answering system told me the next closest one was also in the mall at Microsoft. Went there and they acted like I was crazy until they saw the text from Verizon telling me Microsoft store also had Verizon. Then I tried getting an actual person in the phone with Verizon. After a long strugle to get a real person, I was told that you cant unless you have a secret code. Next closest store was 15 minutes away. Got there and waited an hour and a half to be waited on. Really hate Verizon.
